Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Nice Resort

I'm not a huge vacationer, so when I go my expectations are fairly high. This hotel was very clean, but it is BIG! HUGE! There is constant shuttle service from spot to spot, so that isn't an issue. The room was mediocre - clean, but nothing to write home about. Same ol' musty smell. The one thing that I was shocked at was the below average service. The restaurants were nice and the food was good, but the servers were not kind, and there were MANY occasions where we had to ask for drinks over and [... read more] over again. One night I asked for hot chocolate and the server handed me a cup of hot water and a can of hot chocolate powder....?????? Anyway, all in all the vacation was fun - I was just surprised that a place based on customer service would be so lacking.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful Resort

This hotel was clean, spacious rooms, and the room service was excellent. The food was outstanding - a large variety of meats, vegetables, fish, drinks plentiful and everyone with a smile. The beach was clean and well cared for. There was always a lounger even if you got there late.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Amazing family oriented resort

Rooms were spacious enough and very well cleaned! Staff was very nice. Food choices was great. Restaurants amazing. Activities for all. Beaches were awesome- what more can you ask for? Will go again for sure

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Excellent Resort in all aspects!!!

We were upgraded to the Esmeralda Section of the Gran Bahia Principe Complex in Punta Cana. It was wonderful in all aspects, the staff, food, room, grounds were impeccable as well as the pool and beach area. Trip Central made sure of our requests such as king size bed, upper floor of accommodations, non smoking, etc. to our delight. The service was wonderful.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Excellent Resort!

Big resort with lots of activities and things to do. Service was excellent. We had the Golden Package. It does not give you a lot of extras but we checked in and out quickly and anything we asked for was taken care of asap because we could go to the special area for those who upgraded to Golden. Food was great. Always available and always something good to eat. A la Cartes were good as well. Disco fun most nights. 30 minutes from airport. By the beach for activities or further up for quiet.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Beautiful Resort

This is a beautiful resort. Not too big, it was easy to walk around the well-groomed property. Travelling with another couple, we booked into the Privileged section, but on arrival we were upgraded to the adults-only section (Catalonia Royal Bavaro), with full access to all facilities. The resort staff were all very friendly and eager to please the guests. The food was good, with lots of variety. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Always Enjoyable

The grounds and rooms are always meticulously clean and in good shape. Staff for the most part are very friendly, the check-in staff could use a little customer service training, but the rest are fantastic. One thing we noticed this time after being at this resort for the 5th time was some of the food at the buffet wasn't hot enough.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort!

Room was very clean, with a well stocked fridge. Maid and room service great. Beautiful pools with plenty of loungers but not much shade. Beach was well maintained. Food and servers was very good. Grounds were very lush.

TRS Turquesa: typical, all inclusive Caribbean resort

As is typical with southern hotel ratings, this is not a 4.5 or 5 star as is generally accepted in NA, however it is an extensive and well situated property. The hotel we stayed in on the Palladium resort was advertised as adults only and although indeed children are not permitted to stay in the rooms, or use the pool, all but one of the restaurants are family friendly and the beach is public, so it is not in practice a true adults only hotel. However, because the hotel is part of a large prop [... read more]erty, the resort offers every activity imaginable, multiple restaurants and bars, and a pool for every mood and requirement. The beach is very nice. The food selection is very, very good and the quality while again, not 5 star is good. The rooms would benefit from greater maintenance to maintain the illusion of a 5 star resort, and the proximity to an adjacent commercial district was one evening a distracting liability with extremely loud club music play until precisely midnight, as is permitted there by law. All in all, a very typical, all inclusive Caribbean resort.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Dreams palm beach punta cana

Amazing resort great food fantastic pools beach and amazing staff. Luis Power and Gasolina were great people very funny and if you needed anything they were ready to help in any way. Great foam pool party and great saxophonist player.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Topnotch Hotel

Well maintained hotel, rooms were airy and clean, food was great, beach superb and the pools good. Room beverage fridge could have been stocked more efficiently but it worked out. I would definitely consider this hotel again.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Have Had Better Vacations

The weather was great for the most part (1 full day of rain and a couple evening showers in the 10 days we were there). The room was exactly what we requested (King bed, second floor, central location). The staff was generally friendly but language was an issue in a few cases (some only spoke Spanish and barely understood English). The beach was nice but very crowded (tons of foot traffic) but the area where the loungers were was adequately spaced out (as we weren’t right on top of each other) [... read more]. We would have liked a less busy beach with less vendors trying to sell us stuff. Our two main complaints were the food and the amount of kids. In retrospect we should have booked an adults only resort. The food was generally tasty but it made our stomach’s upset for multiple days on and off the last 4 days we were there. Two of the days were really bad as we had to be close to a washroom or stay in our room altogether. We have never gotten upset stomachs in Jamaica the past 4 years so we were really disappointed…and we eat VERY clean (no junk or sweets). Overall we would give the trip a 6.5 out of 10. The stomach issue, screaming kids and cheesy shows really put a damper on things. The resorts decent but not exceptional...we've definitely stayed at better. For families this is a 'good resort'...big kids play section and tons of activities. For couples without kids or single people, I would avoid this place.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Wonderful resort

The hotel grounds were clean, staff were friendly and there were a lot of activities to participate in. The food was very good, lots of variety and well presented. I felt safe and well taken care of. The pool and beaches were lovely. The sand was lovely and the sea very warm for swimming!

TRS Turquesa: Relaxing Trip

THE PROS... The resort grounds and buildings were maintained well. The beach was beautiful and was perfect for long walks. The rooms in the Royal Suites were very spacious (Junior Suite Deluxe) and we loved the room service feature using it every morning for breakfast. The Zentropia Palladium Spa was fantastic, and provided an excellent hot tub, massage, and exfoliation treatment for a reasonable package price. Lobby bar and nightly entertainment was very good and the sax player was excellent.  [... read more]THE CONS... Not any fault of the hotel, but the seaweed was problematic (as it has been through the Caribbean recently) and there were big piles lining the beach all the way along. The cleaning of the rooms was generally good, but should include a regular cleaning of the hot tub jets since when we tried using it and turned on the jets the smell of the water was horrible, likely due to not being used and the water inside the jets was stagnant without being cleaned. Not sure what it was, but the smell needed 3 tubs of water and running the jets to get the smell of the nasty water out. All of the a la carte restaurants were generally good with one exception - the Chef Raffaele Italian restaurant was absolutely terrible. The service was brutal as we sat for almost 1 hour before the first order came, wait staff did not seem concerned about the abnormal delays. Salad bar had 1 utensil to use for serving all of the items, and despite asking for more utensils the wait staff went away and never came back. Once the main course arrived it looked like it had been used on display for the past few hours, was plastic looking, and was cold. In fact the chicken dish that my wife ordered was pink looking, outside and in, and it smelled terrible. At that point we immediately got up and left as quickly as we could move and we headed to the buffet.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: great resort,great staff

Special thanks to Savarino for making our stay at the Palladium Bavaro Resort avery memorable vacation. I would recomend this place to everyone, the grounds are very well taken care of and its a joy waking up each morning and enjoying all the greenery, its like being in paradise on earth. Another thank you to Oneal at trip central for recommending this resort to us.

Punta Cana Princess: disappointing

The reason we picked this resort is because of the direct flight. Very disappointed in the additional pick-up on our way back. Not the way to end a great holiday sitting in plane for 12 hours. Will be finding something different next time. Food poisoning for the 2 people in our group that ate sea food.

Whala Bavaro: Fun Resort

Had a good time at Whala Bavaro Resort , room overlooking pool was quite spacious with nice balcony overlooking pool, food was just ok nothing special, negatives were morning coffee absolutely undrinkable as well as coffee machine often not functioning and not enough loungers around the pool , 10 to 12 loungers around each pool is just not enough, no complaints about staff they were all very friendly and eager to please. Beach front leaves a lot to be desired, very small space compared to most r [... read more]esorts in the area, barely enough room for 1 row of chairs.

Riu Bambu: Good resort

Very comfortable, clean, enjoyable time. Beach excellent. Stayed in deluxe room which is close to road, a little noisy. Staff were great. Tennis courts for the Riu chain are very poor. Overall a great week. We did do some excursions which were also amazing.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Grand Bahia Príncipe Bavaro

Very nice and big resort.Room was nice and clean . The three restaurants we went to we did not like at all,food much better at main buffet.Beach is beautiful,but is very hard to find loungers if not there very early.Main lobby is very nice with all seating for people to gather in the evening.Wonderful staff

TRS Turquesa: The perfect holiday!!!

If your looking for a sun vacation with everything impeccable from the moment you get off the plane till the time you have to say goodbye.....this is it!!!!! Always impressed with Punta Cana. Will be back!!
