TRS Turquesa: Great vacation

the check in was awesome with Ingrid, upgraded room to renovated section closest to the beach, maid was exceptional. all staff very friendly. Grounds and pool are always immaculate. the staff work hard at clearing the beach of seaweed. my only complaint was the food. The quality has dropped very much since i was there 4 years ago.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Very nice resort!

The resort was really nice and the food was pretty good. Recommend you reserve the restaurants as soon a you arrive. We did have an issue with he air conditioner leaking water on the floor. The beach was much nicer than some resorts in that location.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Great Time!

The rooms and location were very good. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The staff were very cordial and helpful. The pools require some repair and the room requires ventilation in the washrooms. Overall it was a very good trip!

Occidental Punta Cana: Dated and needs some TLC

Overall we had an ok experience at this resort. Buffet was ok we could always find something to eat. Lunch beach buffet was good and there was variety. Steak place was terrible exhaust to remove smoke from the grill was not working and service was not the greatest. Food was not cooked very good. Italian restaurant just re-opened and when booking they tried to charge us $25 extra per person so we did not book. Others booked and did not have to pay the $25 ??? Room was fine we were in building 10  [... read more]close to the main pool front lobby and restaurants but a walking distance from the beach. Room was fine just outdated. The room was cleaned very well every day and we were pleased with the room condition compared to hearing what other peoples experiences were. Building 23 had a lot of water and toilet issues. Beach was good and service on the beach by Frank was great. Air transat reps were great and very helpful in finding my luggage.

Riu Naiboa: Amazing trip!

We stayed at Riu Naiboa everything we'd imagine was there! The pool area was nice but at times a bit busy. If the pool area was too busy the beach was a 5 minute walk away and we always found a spot. The staff were absolutely friendly and professional. We did a few excursions and they were all a great time! All in all it was truly a great vacation and we were all very sad when it all came to an end way to quickly.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great Resort and Awesome Pools

Hotel was awesome, service was excellent beaches were brilliant and clean. Stayed on adult only side. Pools were amazing, I would recommend this place to everyone. Only down fall was not enough entertainment for a rainy day for instance. Throw in karaoke or music for those not wanting to sit in their rooms to watch tv. Or a big projection tv with funny videos or canadian music videos in all lobbys. But other than that, the place is great.

Riu Bambu: Good resort for what it's worth

The hotel was a bit smaller than expected and a little more underwhelming than it was made out to be. If you are looking for a young adult type crowd to party with, this is the resort for you. The pool had great games catered to young adults (beer drinking competition, pillow fighting in the pool, etc), so it was a lot of fun in that sense as it catered to my age group. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful

Grounds beautiful. Meals in all the restaurants excellent. Room adequate but because we had 3 in our room the sofa wa a terrible bed. We requested a separate cot but they did not have one. Instead gave us an extra mattress for the sofa. It was lumpy and soft and none of the 3 of us could sleep on it. We had to ask 4 times for it before it was brought to our room.

Occidental Punta Cana: Occidental

the grounds were well maintained, the rooms were nice. We had the top floor and could see the ocean from our room, food was good and weather was great! The only complaint I really had was the service in the main buffet wasn't very good. But it was good everywhere else!

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort for a Destination Wedding!

We traveled with 30 people for our destination wedding. We traveled with Sunwing and felt the extra perks were well worth it. We enjoyed the inclusive use of all 3 hotels but when we come back in a few years for a return trip we will definitely stay at the Royal Suits Hotel. On a budget with 30 guests the Palladium was able to offer us excellent rates in comparison to the more posh Bravaro and Royal Suits Hotels. Overall the Grand Palladium Resort and Spa was very large and sometimes confusing b [... read more]ut it was fun to get lost and discover a new part of the resort. The Palladium rooms were clean, modern and spacious. Some of our guests complained that the water pressure was inadequate to fill their in-room Jacuzzi tubes. As the Bride and Groom we had no issues with our room and took full advantage of the included room service. Our maids did a beautiful job making up our rooms with daily flowers, towels, and fresh bubbles/ oils for our bath. We loved the in room (included) mini bar. The staff guaranteed refills every two days ( sprite, beer, coke, fanta). Our 2L bottled water was filled daily without fail. The food was excellent, all the buffets had a great variety and quality of food. We loved the a la cartes we ate at, but we found it very difficult to get a seat at the most popular restaurants, as the resort does not take reservations. It was first come, first serve, so you had to line up an hour pre-meal. However we did enjoy having unlimited access to all the a la carts on all 3 hotels. Alcoholic beverages were flowing and not watered down, the house wine was available during lunch and dinner, and the sports bar offered 24hr drinks and snacks. We went on a private catamaran with our 30 guests that our Sunwing rep set it all up. Loved it! The Resort had tons of excursions you could choose from which were at an extra cost but well worth it. The beach was gorgeous, white sand, well groomed and private. The salt water pools were beautiful. I think we saw about 5 different pools, 2 for sure with swim up bars and Jacuzzi bubbles. Our guests enjoyed the pool side bingo, aqua fitness and foam party. Many of our guests spend every night watching the nightly entertainment. They couldn't get enough, every night was different and included two different shows back to back. Unlimited Wi fi was available 24hrs in all rooms and buildings but some of our guests had difficulty at times to access it. Our Rogers customers seemed to have the best reception. Our Wedding day was better then we could ever imagine. From the flowers, to the cake, the ceremony, the food and the reception, everything was perfect. We could tell that the Resort staff was very seasoned and knew exactly what they were doing. Our Wedding Coordinator made the planning process extremely easy and they fulfilled all their promises when we got there. As the Bride and Groom we also had a few of our own special extras (wine ceremony, wedding favors, special gifts and surprises for our friends) that we had brought with us and the resort staff was more then happy to help us execute them beautifully. Overall we a very impressed with the resort, the staff, sunwing rep, and our wedding coordinator. The only major change we would like to see made from this resort is the ability to make reservations at the a la carts, so that we arnt wasting our vacation time in line every evening. We cant wait for our return vacation as Husband and Wife.

Occidental Punta Cana: Amazing vacation! Weather was perfect,nice staff,

Nice staff,resort good, only rooms needs some lifting.Weather perfect,beach very nice,a lot of activities on the on it. Food was amazing.Basically, every day something different to eat at buffet. I have a good time!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: You get what you pay for

Check in was slow and inefficient. Several people we talked to also had room keys missing, lock keys missing and rooms not ready at 3:30/4pm arrival times Rooms are clean but average - we were in an older building I think- building 9- furnishings outdated but remember it is a 4star not a 5 star Food average We tried the Brazilian restaurant service slow and food average: international restaurant we did not enjoy menu options or the food itself Best restaurant definitely the Japanese Buffet nothi [... read more]ng to right home about but you could find something to eat Vendors on beach constantly circling also vendors allowed on complex a few times a week- very nice but annoying Pool needs bottom painted, sides crumbling and cracked and could be cleaned more often but the pool is big and design nice Landscaping of grounds very good Common lobby average -no wow factor as in some of the 5 stars The sun and relaxation is what we came for and we got that... Just be prepared to get what you pay for ... And your trip will be fine English is a challenge for many of the staff

Occidental Caribe: Fantastic resort, our best holiday vacation yet!!!

They changed our room to ocean view and pool view, it was there idea to change rooms, very impressed, the ocean was great and the pool area super clean, hard working employees, super friendly, best service ever!!! We'd go back in a minute!!

Occidental Caribe: Beautiful Beach

The staff were friendly and kind. Most however did not speak/understand basic English, but they tried and were always smiling. The activities staff (Alex, Alexander, Gabriel and Warlin) were fabulous and always went the extra mile to make you feel included and remembered. The energy they portrayed was wild. We were disappointed that our romantic dinner on the beach became a romantic dinner beside the bar (no privacy, very loud with drunk guests all around us) as the light was out on the beach and it was very windy. It would've been nice to be a little more secluded for this type of dinner (maybe off on the chess court, since it was private and not in use at night). The beach was spectacular and very clean. Beaches at the other hotels were covered in seaweed and not cleaned. Barceló, definitely had the longest, nicest and most spacious beach, with lots of palm trees to nap under and it never felt over populated. The food was ok. Some days were better than others. My milk soured in my coffee one morning and you need to be careful of the foods that are left out in the heat at the buffets (pasta salad with mayo). Variety of foods was good. The A La Cart restaurants that we were able to experience (Japanese, Dominican, Seafood) were excellent. New Years dinner was a little chaotic at the Dominican a la cart, as they were never sure what they had or hadn't served you yet. We did spend a lot of time dodging the Coco Bongo representatives while there. They really wanted you to purchase their package and didn't like taking no for an answer. They were a little pushy when you just wanted to relax and be left alone. The pools were great! Loved the sun loungers in the quiet pool (except for the kids playing all over them, when their pool was right beside it) and the pool bar was fantastic. The bartenders were always friendly. Our room cleaner did forget to restock our fridge twice and towels (we had none for 2 days) and had to use our beach towels in the room. The resort lost power for a few hours and water. However, they had it up and running within a couple of hours and they did a great job at keeping all the guests happy. We were pleased with how they dealt with this situation (especially since it was New Year's eve). Overall, this hotel was pretty great for the price. There were some things that could change to make it even better, but we were pleased with how helpful, friendly and kind everyone was.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Beautiful, clean and modern

Fantastic resort. Compact footprint so everything is relatively close and easy to navigate. Rooms were beautiful, mood lighting was cool. Food was very good. Loved that you could eat at the ala carte restaurants every night if you wanted to. Staff was amazing and the entertainment was great too. Late afternoon pool entertainment included live bands, foam parties, inflatable slide and obstacle course. Beach was nice, but the ocean here is pretty rough, so it's not really swimmable. But we didn't  [... read more]mind at all. Demographic was 35-40 average, adults only. Good mature crowd. Made some great friends there! We hope to return one day!

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Great New years food very old rooms

Nice grounds and pools. Good variety of food. The beach would be amazing if they cleaned it every morning. We did get travellers diarrhea. We paid for a suite and it was old, we couldn't sit on the patio chairs in fear of them breaking, the beds are extremely hard with a plastic cover. The pillows are chunks of foam... Needless to say we didn't get a good nights sleep all week. I will say that they had a beautiful New Years Party :)

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Great Resort that includes fabulous service

The Club Caribe Princess was a wonderful resort who's staff work so hard to make your stay special. Judith at guest service exemplified this by her outgoing and tireless assistance!! The room very clean but in need of a renovation. Grounds and buildings were kept immaculate. Best part of Bavaro beach! There was a variety of good food at the restaurants, buffet and snack bar.

Every think was beautiful grounds room food all perfect beach was beautiful lots of food to choice from pools kept very clean and warm very big resort but trolley carts every 5 mins to take u anywhere u want to go great place for families

TRS Turquesa: Wonderful place for a getaway!

Our room was spotless every day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds and pool area were gorgeous and clean. The shower in our Royal Suite was on the small side but worked well. The beaches were clean with deep white sand. The seaweed was not an issue. We had a walkout terrace with 2 chairs and a table to put your drinks on while we relaxed outside. The cappuccinos were great!

Ocean Sand Golf and Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

This was our 4th time at this resort IT gets better every time we go. They are constantly up grading and making positive changes. we have been to other resorts in Punta Cana but like this one the best. Everything is within easy walking distance. Great choice in restaurants, especially the steakhouse, Japanese, and coffeehouse.
