Selection Riviera Cancun: Amazing stay at Azul

Amazing resort, especially if you have kids/babies. All the essentials were there (bottle sterilizer, warmer, monitor, bath tub and crib!). Great play room, kids play pool etc. Food was great - only complaint is that there wasn't enough guacamole available. If you asked for items though the servers were quick to have it made - they were very accomodating for customized requests in all of the restaurant. Riu Playacar: Awesome resort!!

This was our 4th time to this resort. The newly renovated resort is very modern, with nice bright colors. The resort is small, making everything very handy. not too far to get to any location. The food is great with a lot of variety, the service is excellent. All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Looking forward to going again next year.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Very good resort

Resort much better 4 yrs ago when many managers were around to speak to the guests. Some issues with front desk and day of departure. Stood around for 25 min waiting for bus, yet bus driver was there and had not called out any of our names (3 families). Pick up time at 7am and coffee machine was broken. We asked for coffee from the restaurant and you would have thought we were asking for a gourmet breakfast. Than answer was no. One stop was a gated commnunity and we had to drive all the way through it to get the other passengers and all the way back out. That trip alone was at least 30 min. Yes I would recommend this hotel to others if they want an hr and a half drive from the airport.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: A great place to go

The rooms were clean, service was excellent, and the buildings and facilities were well maintained. The food was good t the buffet. The a la cart restaurants were very good. The beach was great aside from some rocky areas in the water which you just need to avoid. The pools were excellent, and the swim up bar was nice.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great time!

Great resort rooms are nice. We could have had a pool room if we upgrade on line for $100 each for the week. We decided to try and upgrade when we arrived but it was around 100 per day. I would recommend upgrading on line if you are going to do it. Food and service was excellent. My favorite night was the Japanese a la carte food was great and the chef was awesome. The beach was not as good as I had hoped. We had to walk a long way to find a place on the beach where we could swim. Use the pool i [... read more]f you want to swim! As far as Sunwing the service was great but the seats on the plane are tight. This was a great holiday for my wife and me. Looking forward to next year.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Wonderful week!

We are fresh from a trip to the Maya Beach Resort and we have nothing but good things to say! The complex itself is huge with many activities to do throughout the day and night. The access to the different hotels was great--we were never bored of the people or surroundings! The buildings and grounds were clean and well maintained--very modern! The food is excellent with lots of choice at the buffets. The staff were mostly all very friendly and accommodating. I suppose the only negative thing we  [... read more]could say is that our bags initially took a while to get to our rooms (so we just went back and grabbed them ourselves), our room did not get cleaned one day (had to go on a fresh towel hunt), and the hot water was out for about 12 hours one day. We are fairly laid back people so for us, this was small potatoes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this resort if you enjoy a more lively scene.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Perfection!! Seven days in paradise

This resort is small enough to walk around, but large enough to have lots of variety. The food was very good and the beverages plentiful. The staff are outstanding, the grounds are beautiful, pools are well looked after,

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Now Sapphire- True Gem

All top notch. Except exorbitant prices at Pevonia Spa. Great location just far enough away from the touristy Cancun buzz. Staff and energy is perfect for all ages. Beach is fine for sports and very long walks! Enjoyed yoga, kids enjoyed the bike ride, water volleyball, archery and we all enjoyed water aerobics and salsa lessons. Food is excellent. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Had a great time. Would definitely go back

Rooms we clean. Food was great and the overall resort was well maintained. Could use a few more bars near the beach. No fight to find a space on the beach. Pool areas were clean and many loung chairs available.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Worth checking it out. ..

Had a great week at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal. The other parts of the resort (Tulum and Coba) were pretty crowded because of March Break, but we never had any problems finding chairs by the pools or tables in the restaurants. We ate in 5 a la carted and the food was always great. Would love to go back!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Very decent family resort

Pros: Excellent facilities. Great spacious room with modern furniture, marble, tile etc. Minibar stocked with drinks. Not too far from the airport - about 40 mins bus ride. Fast check-in. Free Wi-Fi. Good food. Easy to book restaurants - concierge service at every building. Room cleaned daily and not too late. Excellent drinks at any of the bars. Great pools. Frequent shuttle service around the hotel. Great service everywhere. Cons: The beach is not perfect. The water is muddy from the seaweed. [... read more] The bottom is part sandy part rocky. Not enough shade around pools and on the beach.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Almost oerfect

Amazing rooms,beach,pools,food and drinks and staff. Only negatives are they need way more umbrellas. Also on site medical is not good and they sent us to most expensive hospital when my son got sick. Totally a money grab. Finally while nice they no longer have sunwing representatives on site. They farm it out to nexus who's only interest is in selling you day trips!! Would still totally recommend but just keep in mind the above.

Grand Sunset Princess: Grand Sunset Princess

Hotel was more than expected: 1)quick friendly check in, 2) rooms had everything you needed and clean, swim up was a bonus, 3) great selection of food in both the buffet and a la carte, 4) beach was fairly clean and a little rocky but very nice, 5) lots of beach chairs and shade, 6) excellent staff willing to make you trip enjoyable. Our only complaint was our bus did not show up for late check out which was extra $15 each! Overall would go back to this resort in a second!

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Wonderful from beginning to end

The word <> does not even begin to describe this hotel. From the animal interactions we got to experience every day, to the beautiful tree house style rooms, to the absolutely amazing customer service we received, I cannot say enough. Air Canada offered a romantic dinner which was initially scheduled to be by a cenote but was rained out onto our large front porch, it was nonetheless beautiful and perfect to the last detail. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort with just one concern

Hotel grounds were beautiful, food was great, service as great. Our kne concern was a moody/musty smell in our room. We should have asked for a different room. If you get room 2413 be prepared, don't put up with it. All our belongings smelled like it by the end of the week.

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Very good resort

Villas and grounds lovely and clean.animals are really great and well .looked after. All personal very friendly and helpfull and will go out of there way to please you. Beach grill at pool was the best.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: A jewel of a resort

Rooms were very modern,clean, excellent staff always smiling, food very good, bar staff excellent always smiling and have top shelf liquor, reception staff very quick, the pool was great , beach was excellent.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Fantastic experience!

We had a wonderful experience. The staff was the most helpful and pleasant I have ever experienced at a resort and the food was by far the best as well. Lots of options and variety and I loved the layout of the resort. Great size! Gym was well equipped and rooms were nice.

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Awesome Vacation

We had an awesome vacation at the Grand Palladium Resort, the food was excellent, staff great, service was very good. The room was good (needs updating & new pillows) but fit our needs perfectly. I would certainly return to this resort, great value.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Loved this resort.

This is a large resort, but we loved it. We walked everyday on the covered paths, which were beautiful and clean. The food was the best we ever had, from the buffet to the restaurants. The night we arrived we ate at the Sports Bar, this was awesome. The drinks were really good too, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the bathroom amenities were top notch. The beach was a bit rocky, but if you move further down on the Kantenah end of the beach, it is sandier. We were in the ocean everyday, it was beautiful, and would return again for sure!!
