everything good, friendly atmosphere, god food, Bernard is doing his job -very proffesional , very clean hotell have a plan to come again next year, hope they are going to renew contract with varadero golf club for many more years

Melia Las Antillas: Save Your Money and go somewhere else.

This resort was tired and in need of some TLC I traveled on Jan 6 -13 with my boyfriend from Hamilton, Ontario and we overall were not impressed with the food, service, or hotel. It definitely is not a 4.5 star resort. When we stayed they had several maintenance problems that included washrooms being out of service or in dire repair of maintenance and the mojito bar being closed on one of our last nights which was not acceptable. The beach is beautiful and clean lots of loungers available. Our r [... read more]oom was musty and it seemed to always be damp our clothes would never dry when we set them out. Our maid Lucy was great she always made sure we had our drinks filled and the room was clean, also Carlos the Food and Beverage Manager always said hello and made sure we where enjoying our meals which was nice to see him talking with the guests. I would not recommend this resort to anyone unless they solve there maintenance problems as it was a hindrance on our vacation.

Melia Las Americas: Melia Las Americas

Had no concerns about anything. If the goal was to get away from winter for a short period of time, meet people, enjoy their company; then the goal was accomplished in spades. The resort was well organized and very accommodating. This comment is not a form of criticism, but it would have been nice to have access to a hot tub, where one could relax after a game of golf.

Barcelo Solymar: Great Party resort

Hotel was as you would expect in Cuba. If you are expecting Canada like cleanliness and over hotel condition you will be disappointed, like you would be anywhere else in cuba. If you have a family I would try staying at the Arenas Blancas side of the resort which seemed family focus. The Solymar side seemed more focused on those wanted to be more social and party. Starfish Jibacoa: Great time

It was a nice quiet resort , very friendly and welcoming :) it could of used a little more entertainment. Like more music and dancing. I have been to this resort many times and I always have fun but this time one guest complained about the music being to loud and we all suffered .... So we could of used more music for sure :)

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Amazing Resort

Loved this hotel, food was great, especially in the Italian Restaurant, loved the fact that it was all inclusive; tours from the hotel were great and reasonably priced; lots of activities by the pool and on the beach, will definitely return

Melia Peninsula Varadero: french people resort

First of all my bagpack was stolen,second of all 90% of people in the resort were French speaking people with loud annoying behawior,thirdly very comercial place draining pesos from you and getting nothing in return.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Wonderful Resort

this was our 2nd stay at the Melia Pennisula. The staff are amazig and go out of their way to help. The food is good, enough variety and cooked throughly. The beach is beautiful, we would definitly stay again.

Palma Real: Awesome resort

In my opinion it was a very very awesome time the hotel was great service was really awesome and they tried to make everything work perfectly. Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Excellent customer service, great food

Impressed with general butler service which provides a personal contact with any resort issues, if any. staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was great with freshly cooked meats, fish and pasta. The grounds and beach areas very well kept and serviced. Most guests were over age 35 and European which provided for a good natured fun environment.

Melia Marina Varadero: "No good"

First room, patches of black mold, bathroom, entire ceiling covered in black mold. AC didn't work. Getting help from th front desk for new room, gave us no acknowledgment until we stressed the word mold. AC was fixed and after talking with a couple "higher ups" we got a new room. Second room, smelled much better and 10 times cleaner. Still a bit of mold but 99 percent better than the first room. Room service, room was only cleaned 3 times out of the 7 we were there. Only received fresh towels tw [... read more]ice, and never any new bedding. Being on the EP, it was hard to find food besides cheese and crackers. After riding the bust for an hour to get not much better food, the room only had one pot to cook with. Nothing to clean and dry dishes with either.

Resonance Blu Varadero: For cuba is was a good resort

Highs : 1.) Great Beach 2.) Amazing Pool and water slide 3.) awesome night time shows ( best I have seen and this was my 3rd time in cuba) 4.) great range of drinks between 10-5pm Lows: 1. Lack of service 2. only one bar was open 24/7 and drinks were limited after dinner 3. snack bar was limited to the food you could get after 10 pm 4. store was suppose to be open till 830 but would close around 7-730 each night making it hard for travelers coming in late. 5. rooms could of been cleaner , you h [... read more]ad one beach towel for the whole week.

Melia Las Antillas: Amazing Resort with Great Food and Beach

Amazing resort. The food is exceptionally good! New Years Eve celebration supper was amazing - the best buffet experience with endless lobster!! The beach area was also amazing, as it has powdery sand, clean and clear turquoise water that you could walk in for a distance! The service was impeccable, as everything was as expected and staff were always helpful and ready to satisfy. The VIP Concierge service was a great add on feature that was well worth the value at this resort and extra recogniti [... read more]on deserving to the concierge staff in the fifth floor lounge - top notch service! The only area that I would say needs some attention is in the nightly shows at the stage area - in my opinion, there needs to be more entertainment variety to the shows, not just always dancing/singing.

Be Live Turquesa: A relaxing and pleasurable experience

The most memorable part of this resort was the staff. They were very warm, sincere, hard working and anxious to make my vacation as good as it could be. The grounds were impeccably maintained. We experienced some strong winds and rain one day, but within 24 hours all the fallen leaves were raked up and the place was spotless again. Entertainment was very good as well, with several talented live bands performing genuine Cuban music. I'd recommend Terquesa to anyone.

Melia Marina Varadero: Good resort

The resort was nice and the people were great. It's more of a relaxing resort.... not much of a party resort which is what I was hoping for. We found the resort a little confusing at first, they give you a map with all the places to go and all the bars but they listed more than what they showed on the map. Couple things that bothered us.... we requested a king size bed and we got 2 twin beds. Our balcony door was missing the handle to get inside. They only give you 2 beers per day in your "minib [... read more]ar". For the most part people just hangout at the lobby all night cause there isn't anywhere else to go at night. The food wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be but it still doesn't come close to the amazing quality of Jamaica. Overall great trip, not sure if I would come back... we like to drink and have fun at night and there isn't much of anything going on at night at this resort.

Be Live Turquesa: Amazing resort, amazing country

The resort and their staff were amazing. Cleaning lady was very impressive and the food was delicious! Looking forward to going there again ! The $5 bus tour was worth the experience. Also Havana is a must is when visiting Cuba. Its such a beautiful place, however, avoid people selling cigars independently on the streets, they take you in an excluded location and to me that's very sketchy! Other then that it's a beautiful place to go on a vacation.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Bang for your buck

The grounds were will groomed. The hotel is a little tired but I didn't spend much time in my room. The staff was great, I didn't tip much, I brought gifts for the bartenders and when I tried to put $$ down they didn't want it. They were very thankful for the gifts. They had Smuckers peanut butter and the food selection was good.

Playa Caleta: NEVER AGAIN

I came expecting little and got less. I have been to Cuba 12 times (this was my 4th time in Varadero). I have stayed in hotels at all levels of star rating from 2 to 5 and this is only the 2nd I would avoid at all costs. The hotel was run down and in desperate need of attention. Thankfully the beach and pool area were well maintained, give or take though there was a lack of chaise lounges (lots there but all broken). The staff were generally friendly but were not above demanding gifts from those at the hotel and expressing their dissatisfaction when refused. Add to that large groups of drunken 20 somethings cooped up inside makes for a noise level that would be banned by any occupational health organization. Follow it up with no water in the hotel rooms and the coup de gras some mystery illness that swept through the place has convinced me that this place should be avoided at all costs and for that matter so should Varadero.

Palma Real: Horrible resort

There was no hot water, we stayed on the 4th floor and the elevator didn't work. It rained and the ceiling leaked throughout the building, and the beds felt well used. I will never stay here again!!!!

Hotel Bella Costa: this was a small resort but out side was very beau

the hotel lobby was very nice ,the rooms were old and musky,the grounds were beautiful,the beach was outstanding ,the food was a bit better then expected.the staff was all great to deal with .our sunwing rep was very very affeciant,no problem changing money.there were bugs if you know what I mean ,but I get it is a hot climate,we moved to grand memories resort the following week which was aweful would have gladly returned to bella costa
