Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Memories Splash Punta Cana

We had a great time The kids used everything available to them eg Chess Set, Kids Club they loved the Slides. Everything was very clean; gardens were beautiful. The resort staff were very friendly and would help you with anything you might need. The rooms were very nice and clean, beds very comfortable. Another person we talked to hers did not even hold air and they would do nothing Not good customer service. Did not buy anything else from them. That was our only complaint. GREAT FAMILY RESORT 😀

Cayo Levantado Resort: Great vacation

We travelled in May 2018. Everything went smooth and trouble free. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The villas are surrounded by tropical vegetation. The grounds are well kept. Rooms are very large and balconies are proportionally huge. The beach is rather small but just enough. There’s a lot of natural shade from the trees on the beach. Main buffet is gorgeous and it has 3 section, one indoor (absolutely beautiful) and 2 outdoor sections one for smokers. Which really is accommodating everyone. Food is great and desserts are so good that you have to put an effort in “controlling your intake”. Service is absolutely 5 stars. I interacted with various staff and everyone from the bellboys to managers will bend over backwards to fulfill all your needs and wants. Not too many kids (hopefully their numbers will not increase). Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great resorts for kids

I would give this resort a 4 star because I expected more from a 5 star resort. This resort caters to the kids and it does a really great job. For example, the water park, nightly shows which were all great compared to other resorts I have been to. Also, if you sign up early enough you can sign up your child to be in the show. The first one Italian was a terrible experience, our server was rude from the start, all 12 of us ended up getting up when our dinner came because he was throwing our plates at us. Management saw us leave and followed us to the buffet which was next door. Situation was handled then for the rest of the week all the servers were really attentive to us and being polite. Compare to Cuba, food is a step up but really heaving on the salt so I give it a 4 stars. Rooms - clean and big, had 2 double beds and double size clot plus extra room, the bathroom was big too but no fan in there so every time you bathed and showered the whole bathroom steamed up, drain in shower was clogged, told receptionist but not sure if anyone came because it was still clogged when we showered - 4 stars Beach - lots of huts and chairs no need to play the towel game but they were so close together, felt crowded. About 10 minute walk to beach. Restaurant on the beach and also servers to take drink orders. Unfortunately beach had a lot of seaweed which I heard that it’s an issue for a few years in Punta Cana. So I didn’t go into the ocean as I am used to clear turkiose water. We did witness one of the locals stealing a whole bag off a chair and took off so fast so be careful and don’t leave anything that you need. Overall, I give the beach 4 stars as it had enough chairs for everyone, drink servers, restaurant on beach and washrooms. Would have been perfect if Mother Nature cooperated with no seaweed. Bar service: drinks were good, mojhitoes were better than Cuba, passionfruit juice with rum was my husband’s favourite and I was loving the whiskey sour. Bar service was fast and never waited long Washrooms: lots of them which were convenient when you have kids and they were always clean. Entertainment: 8 pm, kids mini disco, 9 pm theatre show, 10 pm a show projected on the castle that lights up at night, 10:15pm live Latin singing and dancing 11pm lights out, literally to turn off lobby lights, fountain lights and main bar lights. If you want to continue partying, you can go to the other resorts connected. Not sure what activities were during the day as we were always at the water park or pool. Wanted to do some yoga or Zumba but didn’t see it on the activity board Wifi - free pretty good for the Caribbean

Riu Republica: Party Resort

This was definitely a very fun resort. We had a great time, the waterslides were awesome and the party pool (across from the slides) was a great time. For an all-inclusive the food was ok. Nothing amazing, but there were always lots of options at the buffets which is great. Down side, we arrived at 11pm, and the only food available was at the sports bar. It included nacho chips and cheese sauce, hot dogs, and pre-made hamburgers stored in a fridge available to be microwaved. The beach is not the greatest but the pools make up for it! Overall I would recommend this resort to a group of young people looking to have a good time. There is no shortage of that! If you are looking for something a bit classier and relaxing, I'd steer clear.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Totalling Lacking in Service Skills

While the resort and grounds were beautiful the degree of Service provided was far below anything we have ever experienced. We travel two to three times a year and never have we seen servers/ bar staff with such a total disregard for doing their job. No matter what you tipped you would be hard pressed to find someone to get you a drink at any of the bars or a glass of water at the buffet. The drinks never showed up and this was not an isolated incident. Very disappointing for what could be a great resort.

Excellence Punta Cana: One word to describe it....WOW

This was my wife and I 10th all-inclusive vacation. Never once have my wife and I ever said we got to come back to a particular resort except for this one . The Excellence Punta Cana was fantastic, everything from room, beach, staff and especially FOOD! We will go back....

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Amazing resort!

The grounds were very well kept. Room was comfortable, clean and we really enjoyed the outdoor Jacuzzi. The food was good and plentiful - lots of options! The service at the pool was amazing - drinks were very good! Beach was very nice and we enjoyed long walks along the water's edge. Would definitely recommend it and go again!!

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great resort!

Stayed at Sunscape in May 2018 with my 26 year old daughter. Well laid out resort easy walking distance to pool, restaurants and beach. 20 minutes from airport. Room check in not till 3 but they store your luggage, so pack your bathing suit and sunscreen in your carry on and start enjoying your vacation as soon as you are there. Very friendly staff and clean. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, fridge always stocked and if you needed something, just ask. Large pool with wade in area so goo [... read more]d for all ages. Buffet restaurant had lots of food choices and the 4 a la cartes were excellent and unlimited to return. Service was excellent. Beach is public so be prepared to have many locals coming up to you trying to sell you things. Only negative - our building #11 was noisy. mainly it was just the partiers coming back from the disco and continuing the party in their rooms or families returning late evening after the show and their kids running and screaming throughout the open concept hallways that was the problem. When you are on vacation, you don’t always consider your actions and how they affect others. Several people we met moved to another building and were very happy with their relocation. We stayed because we were happy with our room location on the 3rd floor and we happened to have wifi in our room. I would definitely go back to this resort. Not sure how or who determines hotel ratings but I think it is definitely 4/4+.

Occidental Punta Cana: Royal level at Occendental: Fabulous

I was there from May 17th to May 24 2018. My stay was just perfect: the room (they gave me a suite), the dining room, the food, the service, the private beach: everything was perfect. The only turndown, at that time there were algue in the water, but we could swim anyway. I recommand Royal level, but I would not go to the regular resort, because the buffet is not at my taste. I noticed that at that time of the year there were plenty of free chairs on the regular section of the beach.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing Food!

This resort was quite excellent. The food, and the service were great. Our room was cleaned and spotless the whole week we were there. The Outback Safari adventure was terrific, thanks to our guide "Jesus".

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Beautiful, immaculate resort

We absolutely loved our trip, the grounds were stunning, the service was wonderful, extremely clean. The pools were perfect, the food was great, something for everyone. Highly recommend this resort!!!

Grand Palladium Palace: Great Resort

The resort is beautiful. The staff are incredible. The rooms at the Palace and the Punta Cana sections are all recently renovated. The only bad part to the place is the constant sales pitch for joining"the travel club". After a few days we figured out how to get around to without running into them. They were having a big celebration for Travel Club members when we were there and it was annoying as they kept closing off sections to the rest of us for their private affairs. I don't think I would [... read more] like to be there during their next celebration but I would definitely like to go back. They have several new restaurants from when we were there last year. The casino is gone now but I never used it anyway.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Fantastic resort!

We had a great week. Food was good. Steak restaurant needs some work and it was hot in the restaurant which made it uncomfortable. Italian was our favorite! Resort grounds were very clean. Room was ok. Needed updating. Air conditioner didn't work great. But it was bearable. We would come back but upgrade to privilege room.

The resort was amazing. The front desk were very helpful but the room service was not acceptable at all. I complained numerous times with the front desk people but they didn't do anything about it. I called in for a coffee once, 45 minutes later someone showed up with couple of packages of sugar. Then when I asked them I wanted coffee, same person showed up 20 minutes later with pack of coffee. Another time I asked about packs of chips. They told me that they are busy and it will be there in 45  [... read more]minutes. VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Peeps working there phenomenal

Everything done to perfection. Staff care, well spoken, very helpful. Beach good, resort size big enough to be spacious yet cozy to be intimate. Food good. Pool/s good. If need to have one balancing thing, could be more umbrellas around the pool.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great Resort

This resort is small but has everything you need. Food is great, pool is nice, and the rooms are comfortable, although they could be cleaner. Please note that during the slow season (spring-summer months), they accept locals on the weekends, which makes it very busy and loud. We found it particularly inconvenient because we were there with kids, and the pool was less accessible to us during those days. Otherwise, good resort.

The room was far too small for 5 people, however the food was amazing, I would return if we were in a better suited room. The beach was okay, quite full of seaweed which can’t be helped as the tide was high. Very windy beach, the pool was great though.

Très amusant et beaucoup de programme à pour tout les soirs. On s'ennuie pas. La seule chose que je n'ai pas aimé, certains employés voulait qu'on va être membre de club et ils sont fatiguant parceque il nous laisse pas tranquille. En plus 2 soirée, le vendeurs locale ont amené leur marchandise à vendre et ils sont très dérangent, ils collent après nous.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Disappointing Resort

Of all the resorts I've been to, this resort is the worst. Service was absolutely terrible. The butler in our room showed up only 3 of 10 nights. Two nights are room was cleaned, bed not made. Plastic cups and straw were still floating on the pool in the morning.
