Riu Playacar: Beautiful beach

This was a nice hotel with a gorgeous beach. We loved that the palm trees were the shade. The customer service was really good. We found that there was not enough variety with the restaurants. It would have been nice to be able to go to the other resorts for dinner. As a family food is really important to us and we are not really buffet fans. The rooms were clean the beds were uncomfortable and I know what people mean when they talk about the rooms smelling musty. We moved to a new room day two  [... read more]and it was fine. The pop show we saw on our last night was really good. I would recommend a daily Calendar of activities given out under your door. We have had this at the other places we have stayed and it was handy as we felt we didn’t really know what was happening activity wise. We travelled with two 19 year olds and two 15 year olds and found the resort very safe. Overall it was nice just not amazing.

Canto Del Sol: wonderful place

This resort is situated close to everything, the staff are hard working and friendly. My only negative review would be that guests reserve all the chairs around the pool so early you cannot get a place to relax, this also happens at the beach. Although there are signs posted you cannot do this it happened everyday. This resort is a little older but well taken care of, and most of the guests are repeat which says alot. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Vanlentines week at the Valentin Imperial Maya

My Wife and I have been to allot of resorts in the Carib. and this one ranks one of the best. The grounds are very luxurious and spacious. Not once did we feel crowded or felt like the staff didn't have the time to give us that individual attention when we required it. The property has the feel of a grandiose Mexican/Spanish private plantation with peacefulness and solitude that makes you feel relaxed from the moment you first arrive to the time the Bellmen puts your luggage in the limo for the  [... read more]ride to the airport. The beach area was well cared for, the seaweed and any debris was cleared everyday, there were plenty of lounge chairs and cabanas to go around. We opted for the privilege package that provided us with our own personalized Cabana as well as many other amenities. It was well worth the few extra $, great value. The food was very good, and we had a large variety of ethnicity to choose from, in fact it was so good I made a glutton of myself and had to fast for a full day once I got home just to feel hungry again. I would like to give a big shout out to the concierge staff, especially Jerrod, Francisco & Mauricio. You all made us feel very special and we would like to thank you for that. The Valentin Imperial Maya was recommended to us by a close friend and we have already recommended it to other friends. We cant speak about the excursions that the resort offers, we only went there for solitude and beach therapy, we found both. Thank you to all the staff there.

Riu Santa Fe: Beautiful Resort

Resort is beautiful, clean, and friendly. Entertainment was good. Food was good, rooms were nice! Had great time at the foam parties. This is a party resort, if your looking for quiet time you need to be far from the lobby. I had a blast, Thank you!

Dreams Huatulco: Amazing stay!

This stay was our second consecutive year visiting Huatulco. Trying out Dreams resort was a good choice. Beautiful grounds, no wristbands, no towel cards, unlimited à la cart restaurant visits without reservations. Dreams is an older resort that the rooms have been updated. They enforce a 30 minute rule of leaving your lounger unattended (retrieve your stuff at guest services) Go see Rayna at the lobby bar, she is a great server. The weather is always Hot, Hot, Hot. El Dorado Royale: Think twice

Eldorado Royale The hotel catered to their members only and provided second rate services to those who did not join. The Japenese restaurant was not considered one of thier best restaurants but it was exemplary, the food and staff amazing! The 2 restaurants that needed reservations to go to were simply ok,not the best and really pushed an upsell for thier wines and tequilas. There was only one restaurant open for breakfast at the Royale from Monday to Thursday which made it hard to get in fo [... read more]r breakfast, and even harder to time it when there was food in the buffet. Very difficult to get decent coffee at any time unless you paid for Starbucks. The main pool had limited seating and it was hard to reserve seats unless you paid $200 per day for a Bali Bed. The beach was rocky and despite the workers working extremely hard to remove the extensive seaweed it was always dirty. The beach was definitely not swimmer friendly. The entertainment was great! The shows were amazing and Mexican night was one of the best! Jojos bar had late night dancing which Was extremely fun! But they always ran Out of grey goose vodka by 6 pm And substituted it with various low level vodkas. If you decide on this resort make sure you ask for an Ocean Front room? Otherwise you are stuck in the back of the resort. All In all I would rate this place at a 3.5. The staff I would rate at a 5!

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Paradise in Riviera Nayarit

Once again a wonderful 2 weeks this is our 12th visit to Marival resort which is like our home away from home. The property is immaculate the food is plentiful and well presented The staff are very helpful and friendly Only negative is quality of wooden deck chairs on the beach.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great Time

My husband has given his review and I would like to give mine. The staff at this hotel was outstanding, especially our concierge Arturo. As we had been told, the food was great with lots of different restaurants to choose from. We would definitely go back again

Riu Santa Fe: Fabulous resort

This resort had everything you could ask for. Amazing grounds well kept great pools and many bars. The food in all locations were all excellent and very tasteful. The resort was kept was very clean including all restrooms. The rooms were very large with great service from the workers. Entertainment was also very good especially the pool parties. This place is definitely a place for parties and all 8 of us who went thoroughly enjoyed it all. The marina is close by and a great place to visi [... read more]t so much to see and do. Grand Palladium Vallarta: You need to be in good shape

Its a nice Place but would not go back again too many Stairs and had to change room because they could not fix AC unit and room in lower area the WIFI did not work well. we had the Air transit Imperial club package and only got turn down service tell we had to move rooms on day two of our trip

Secrets Huatulco: Great Resort

The resort grounds are manicured and very well maintained . All the restaurants are excellent and do not require reservations. We have stayed at this resort 6 times and will be back for our 7th. Amazing Staff

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Best vacation experience ever

The combination of weather,great food and the Mexican people made for a memorable holiday.Aspecial shoutout to our concierge at the Lindo,Arturo,who did so much to make our stay so memorable.A suggestion for your shows at night.There is nothing about the shows on your touchscreen.As a result we missed most of the shows during the first week.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: No complaints!!

Well kept... beautiful grounds.... amazing food and options..... Never feel like you are in a crowd.....beautiful scenery at meal time and from the balcony. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Activities are fun and the nightly entertainment is above normal resort quality. Great vacation! .........Unless you buy a privilege package.... Yu still need to be up early to get prime beach and pool spots...

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Relaxing vacation

The hotel grounds were beautiful, well kept. There are beautiful views of the ocean from all over. Alcohol selections were superb. Great variety of food at buffets. A la carted good, Except with the first come first serve, it’s a bit difficult to plan your night if you have to wait hours for a table. Everything was very clean.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Great place

This was our second time going to the resort and we all loved it as much as the first time. Everything was great. The beach was beautiful, the rooms clean, the food was amazing and most of all the people that work at this resort are the most amazing people I have ever met.

Riu Dunamar: Beautiful resort all round

This is a large hotel resort and quite different from other Mexican resorts we have been to. Basically, everything is in one huge 4 story building. The design of the rooms and hallways is stark white which is very minimalist. Adding some colorways would give the public areas some style. Rooms were large and well furnished. In room liquor dispenser was nice. Our room was on the 4th floor, over the disco on the ground floor and some nights the thumping of the base kept us awake. I would have liked to see one pool designated adults only, as all the pools had kids playing. Plenty of loungers on the beach and around pools. Definitely a good family resort.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Perfect Vacation

The staff at this resort are helpful, happy and smiling all the time. Always asking if there is anything we want. The resort is beautiful with its architecture and greenery. The food is very tasty and plentiful. The drinks are cold and refreshing. The rooms are great and comfortable. I will definitely go back to this resort next year. They made us feel so welcome. Our new home away from home.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Beautiful 4 star resort

Clean. Friendly staff. Good service. Lots of fun activities to do. The food is good. Location is nice. Geared to Families and middle aged to older people. Close to airport and Marina. Short bus ride to town or 9 dollar taxi ride. Very safe area. Felt secure and safe.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Really nice place but bring Kleenex

A hotel room with no Kleenex? Good thing the OXXO was right there so I could buy some. In what universe does a person not need Kleenex? Having said that, the place was lovely. We started out in one of the new supersaver rooms. New is an overstatement. They are cobbled together with pieces from other hotels and probably recycled stuff. For instance, the mirrors were antique and the doors didn’t fit the openings. Kudos for environmentalism. Reuse and recycle! Our next room was also in buildin [... read more]g 2 but the old part. It was lovely. The beach was amazing and all the pools are great. The loungers could have been more padded. I’m also puzzled by the lack of poolside servers and the fact that you couldn’t eat at the pool, but you sure could smoke at the pool, right under the sign that said no smoking. Food was buffet. Say no more.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great modern resort!

We went to this resort mid-January and were pleasantly surprised. We travel twice a year and have seen a lot of different sites. This did not disappoint. Staff were always upbeat and pleasant. Most spoke very good english and eager to help. The food, well, if you like good mexican food as opposed to North American tacos and burritos, you are in for a treat at the Margarita restaurant.
