The Sens Cancun: Couldn't pay me to stay here again

I am not a wordly traveler, but I have been to Cuba 3 times, Jamaica twice, and Mexico before. This was by far the worst place I have stayed. Starting with the front desk on my arrival I was disappointed. Having arrived late due to weather, I was expecting that my sister would already be registered. she flew from Toronto. The girl could careless that I was upsetand worried. Check in was swift, this is when I found out about all the spots which were not included in my "All Inclusive " pa [... read more]ckage. There was even an extra fee for the room safe. The hotel and room were dated to say the least. It did seem clean. We woke in the middle of the night to a flooded bathroom, the toilet was leaking. Which they did fix quickly when we called. The food tasted fine, but everything was constantly cold at the buffet. If you wanted to eat in the a la cart restaurant, you could only make reservations at 4 on the day of. Ive never stayed in a place were you didnt make all your reservations at once. Alcohol was bottom shelf, you could pay extra for better wine. Why when you've already paid alot to be there. When it rained the ceilings leaked. which made it unsafe to walk in certain areas. The only redeemable quality about the place, were the people (besides the desk clerk) the servers, cleaning staff, bartenders, gardeners, were all very friendly and hard working. I would never go back though

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Accessible travel review

My wife and I recently return from the Hard Rock in the Riviera Maya. As a paraplegic who relies on a wheelchair for mobility this resort proved to have its challenges. The majority of the restaurants on both sides (Hacienda and Heaven's) had multilevel dinning areas that were not accessible, of the most frustrating one was the Toro steak house. To access the host in order to confirm your reservation and be seated you had to enter the main doors however the only accessible seating area was down  [... read more]below and therefore you needed to back outside down a ramp and enter through another set of doors to gain access to that level. The restaurants that did have ramps were very short and steep. The lobby bar on the Heaven's side was not accessible...2 steps would could have easily been ramped. The accessibly of the gifts shops on both sides were hit and miss, some were and others were not. My biggest peeve was the fact that there were no accessible washrooms pool side. On the Hacienda side I needed to go into the main building which had a maze of 5 ramps to access. On the Heavens side fortunately our room was not too far. On the other hand...the resort was beautiful and impeccably maintained. The staff were very kind, friendly helpful and always looking to assist in any way. Our room was spacious and always cleaned promptly. The food was amazing...the pizza bar became its own daily food group. All in all we managed well and had a great stay. I've been travelling long enough to know that accessibly means different things to different people, especially when travelling abroad and you take what you get and make it work.

Park Royal Ixtapa: Cleanest Resort and friendly staff

We really enjoyed this resort from Feb 1 till Feb 15 2019 , the staff was very friendly and spoke good english we had no problems booking in, exchanging money for small bills i can't say enough about how clean the resort was . Maids were so friendly and the room was spotless every day ,sheets change constantly .The bed were very hard but after 14 days got use to them if i was this resorts owners i would definitely switch to pillow tops i am sure they can afford to upgrade. We never got sick  [... read more]once the food for such a small resort was very good no problems not a great variety, Italian restaurants was very good we ate there a lot . Swim up bar was always full of children but being a family resort and reading review before we left we knew what was mean to be . we had a ton of fun and price value excellent

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Awesome Again!

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Hyatt ziva in PVR and were not disappointed. Julia Tollis of Trip Central set this us for me way back in September and did an amazing job, thank you Julia!

Riu Flamingos: Riu Jalisco

The hotel was amazing except our room smelled awful we would of had to wait 3 days for another and decided we got use to it and they put a lot of disinfectant. The grounds amazing enough chairs for everyone, the beach clean and again enough chairs. The food was often cold and not enough food without spices for people with bad stomachs that was the only complaint if they can get food for everyone it would be paradise. I was disappointed that they had no mangos but the papaya was great.

Grand Oasis Sens: Great reaort

Service was awesome, hotel was well kept. We really Enjoyed our stay for a week. Would recommended to friends and family . Location was very convenient close to lots of amenities and daily Activities. Locals and other tourists were very helpful and friendly.

Allegro Cozumel: We love Allegro Cozumel!

Lovely resort, well manicured grounds, lovely rooms, great stretch of ocean, friendly staff, nice private lounge for premium guests - would definitely recommend booking premium level. We will be back.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort!

Great resort! Clean rooms and common areas. Amazing food, great service, friendly staff. Able to go to other resorts in the Bahia Principe complex for a la carte dinners. Trolleys available to take you to other resorts, or shopping at the Hacienda if you choose not to walk. Beach was a little seaweedy but thats just nature, nothing the resort can to do prevent it! Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: ok resort

resort was ok definately not a 4 diamond food was terrible i got food poisoning was sick for 3 days still not over it the hotelwanted me to pay for doctor and meds everything including pop watered down generally the staff was excellent including servers always short towels and have to go looking for the maid would not go back again who ever does the ratings should be replaced

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Unique Place

I would like to start by saying I am a simple man with simple needs...this resort is upscale in food and service to a point of me not being comfortable...very nice but too much for me...the food was like in there advertisement,gourmet...delicious and prepared wonderfully but at times all you might want is some plain old normal everyday food but if you are into all restaurant style meals with 4 and 5 courses served over an hour then this is your place...the bars make wonderful drinks and the bart [... read more]enders work non stop but almost always only 1 bartender at a time working which makes for long waits for a drink at times...the grounds are large but are lovely and well cared for making for nice leisurely walks but there are carts that will drive you if walking is a problem for you...the beach is not the best for any water sports but there is alot of lounges and Bali beds to get in the sun or the shade whichever you want...all the staff are great and will help with everything they can and are always happy to help...this may sound like a bit so great review but it is me just taking a long about way of saying it is a really nice place just a bit too fancy for me.

Occidental Cozumel: We love it here!!

Awesome staff! Front office Gabriel is the best. Small resort with a big heart. Beds are very comfortable; clean rooms; large bathrooms. Food delicious, many options. Love the beach-able to snorkel from shore. Entertainment staff are amazing, great shows.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Beautiful spot

Just spent a week at the iberostar grand .... the staff were an amazing crew that looked after you like no other ... hotel is beautiful and food was very good .the shows were very good , so much talent , & you could tell the staff was loving every minute of it ...hotel decor was stunning ... I wouldn’t hesitate to return ... it was a great week ....

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Great resort

Overall the hotel was great. Very clean & friendly staff. Ala cartes were very good, buffet was was not great. Bar hours & locations could be improved. Lobby bar isn’t actually in the lobby and doesn’t open until 4. Bars by the pool are open earlier but it would be great to have a place away from the pools in air conditioning during the day

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Good resort

Staff are excellent and are hard working. Rooms are very clean but outdated. Rooms need updating and shower tub combination is very hard to get in. You literally have to sit and swing your legs into the tub because of the height of the ledge. Food is good and there are many great options to choose from. Steakhouse French Italian and Mexican were excellent. The resort is really spread out so plan on walking a lot or taking the shuttle trains. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort!

Resort was great. Very clean, great service everywhere, and the most friendly staff. Our Air Canada representative who helped booked excursions was fantastic! Food was good, the restaurant foods were amazing. Beaches were beautiful and every resort was full of fun shows, you were never bored! Weather was fantastic, barely any bugs. All in all, would recommend this resort!!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very beautiful resort.

Resort is surrounded by jungle, therefore there was an abundance of different birds and other wildlife. Beach was good though there is a limited area to swim. That being said there were plenty of fish swimming around. The buildings and grounds are meticulously kept and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food was second to none.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Beautiful resort

Property was beautiful with a lush jungle setting. Loved the ocean pool, food was great, staff phenomenal. Best part was the wildlife. There were some animals in enclosures but there were wild monkeys, coatis, iguanas, agoutis, deer and so many different birds. Perfect for wildlife lovers!

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Wonderful vacation

The hotel was located on one of the most beautiful properties I have ever been to. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make our vacation the most memorable one we ever had. The beaches were clean and free of seaweed which made swimming very enjoyable. Drinks were first class and plentiful. The food was delicious and professionally prepared by well train chefs. Me and my wife will be definitely planning a future vacation at this resort for sure.

Park Royal Beach Huatulco: An experience

The suites were beautiful, clean very spacious and spectacular view from the huge deck. The helpers were lovely, some quite innocently angelic, a real highlight of the trip to interact with these sweet people. The food was fabulous, abundant varieties, ethnic themes. interesting, healthy choices, beautiful fresh fruits, and decadent desserts. The worst was the blasting loud music at the pool which flooded the beach area, insensitive to the age and feedback from the patrons and making it difficul [... read more]t to relax. We frequently walked down the beach and stretched out in front of another resort for peace and quiet. Also there were not enough lounge chairs or shade umbrellas at our beach. All the chairs were taken, reserved by towels, by 9 or 10 am. The music during the dinner shows was also too loud, forcing people to eat outside and not see the show, or come to dinner early before the shows started. Canadians are generally too polite to give feedback but may choose another vacation spot next time. I gave my feedback about the noise to the manager on our departure.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Great. Not perfect

Service and food absolutely top notch. Entertainment non existent. Teen club not happening anymore which was a disappointment, as that's one of the main reasons we booked there. Not enough loungers...
