Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful resort!

This resort is huge but so beautiful. It's very clean & they attend to your needs immediately. My only complaint would be that they only had 1 person at the swim up bar (1 at each side) & they could use 2,especially on the one side - it was quite often lined up. Great time!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: The whole package!

The Azul Fives was one of the most refreshing resorts we've ever stayed at. The food options were superb. I loved how you could just walk into a smoothie bar have a healthy smoothie and a muffin! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. A special mention to Ruth, the activities person. Her energy was unreal! She was so positive and interactive! The pools were actually quite cold but you got used to it as the day got warmer. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

Riu Playacar: The "Ideal Resort"

Exceptionally clean, grounds very well maintained, food was excellent....the staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Also, the resort was not too big that you had to walk long distances to the beach area or eating areas... it was also a great location as we were walking distance to Playa del Carmen to shop.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great resort, atmosphere, service and food!

This is our first trip to a Royalton Resort and we will definitely check out more! The resort turned one year old while we were there - it's beautiful. For such a large resort, we were never short on pool or beach space (although there was the ubiquitous race for/saving of chairs), and we never had to wait long for meals, at bars, etc. The buffet is astounding - and I'm picky about food! And great selection  [... read more]at the bars (I'm a whiskey drinker, which is usually not a good thing to be on Caribbean and Mexican vacations)! Truly top notch service everywhere - all of the staff were friendly and helpful in our experience. The spa is beautiful, the fitness centre one of the best I've seen in a resort (I would have loved more free weights, but hey, it was a vacation). Only a couple of negatives: - The beach is beautiful, but the water was really rough and filled with seaweed while we were there in late February (certainly not a problem controlled by the resort - global weather patterns more than likely), so keep this in mind if you REALLY prefer to be in the ocean over the pool - I normally am hands-down an ocean person, but the pools were pretty great here so that made up for the seaweed. :) Plus, the beach bars were fantastic - great personalities and great service. - If you have any mobility issues, there are some areas with uneven/sloping ground, bigger than typical steps, and not as many railings as you might like to see. But all of the restaurants, pool areas and other public areas are certainly accessible. The resort was working on repairing little areas of settlement/uneven concrete while we were there - but this wasn't obtrusive at all. - We attended the vacation package presentation - while the people were great and polite and helpful, it did take a little more than three hours. If you think you're interested in buying into the vacation package, then go for it - but in future I will totally resist the lure to attend these.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: We love bahia principi Mayan riviera Akumal! !

The hotel and staff were terrific and made our vacation a wonderful experience. We were a party of 4 and 1 of our group was extremely impressed as this was his first time south so this was a great first time experience!! Beach at Akumal was gorgeous and the food was delicious!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Loved it! would go to again.

we went with 2 families. they put us in adjoining rooms. Resort was very clean. Food was good. Service was great. Ocean was perfect for kids and good snorkeling. Saw everything from lion fish to nurse sharks. Loved it.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Huge resort!

This resort is around 1.5 hours from the Cancun airport, but that wasn't that bad. The resort itself is part of a complex of 3 resorts Coba, Tulum and the Luxury Akumal. This one is not on the beach like the other two, but you can walk or take a shuttle to the beach or other resorts. The pools are about 4.5' deep which is good for standing around in or throwing balls etc... We went to the beach a couple times and there's a good spot without too many rocks between Akumal and Tulum. They have ins [... read more]talled large breakwalls that look like sandbags or huge rocks. These break up the waves. There are a couple small coves where there are lots of small fish that swim right up to you which is pretty cool. Some areas of the beach have lots of rock in them which makes it difficult to walk into the water, but if you have a mask and snorkel you'll see some cool fish. We were in the Family Master Suite which was two adjoining rooms. The main room had a king bed and the other room had two doubles for our daughters and the couch made into a bed for our son. The mini fridge was always restocked with beer, water and other supplies. Bathrooms were nice, clean and spacious. We were in unit 20 which is fairly close to the main lobby and the main pool, though for some reason the kids preferred hanging out at the other pool which was also close by. The bartenders at the pool bar got to know us and sometimes Rene made our drinks when they saw us approaching the bar before we ordered. Jose was a fun bartender and was always trying to get people to have fun around the bar. The food at the buffet was very good. The greeters gave everyone a squirt of hand sanitizer as the entered and everything seemed very clean. Decent selection and they had a couple stations for things like custom eggs/pastas etc... The A-la-carte restaurants were also good. We preferred the Japanese because we sat around the grill and the show was fun. Evening entertainment was good, especially the acrobatic show and the Michael Jackson show was very authentic. Would definitely recommend this resort and would return.

Fantastic. Had a great time with friends. Lots of walking. Food excellent. Entertainment excellent. Enjoyed the excursions. Tour guides informative very pleasant. etc....... Room 1344 - awesome service- very clean.

Grand Riviera Princess: very clean and beautiful resort

Excellent property and great food. The staff where very pleasant and help full and the room was spacious well appointed. On the second day in you should not have any trouble booking an alacart restaraunt though. And I did not like that two alacarts were pre booked for us by the resort because we were with a big group and they were all different. That was a minor thing though. And the grounds were spectacular, well groomed and so very clean. The drink selection was very good and the service was g [... read more]reat. And now for the food, very, very good and a wide selection that should satisfy everyone.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Excellent Vacation Spot

We thoroughly enjoyed the Resort. Grounds, rooms, restaurants are kept very clean. A great dining experience, especially the French & Italian restaurants. The pool area was clean, with an abundance of lounge chairs. Most importantly, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Excellent Resort!

Grand Sunset Princess: I loved it so much

I loved every part of this resort to the food ,people. grounds, rooms, lobby,pools beach and ect..... I would love to go back , we were a group of 8 ppl ,we just would like to see Free Wi-Fi in the lobby and more t.v s in the gym

El Dorado Royale: For foodies and relaxation!!

Overall the food is amazing! Definately read the reviews about the food, it is gourmet style and a la carte so portions can be small, just order lots of food! Recommend cocotal for buffet breakfast, and make sure to do Fuentes the culinary theatre it was really good!! In other reviews it says the beach is an eye sore, it's not that bad, but it's really not swimable with the rocks and seaweed. The pool is nice! One issue is my husband had to get up around 7-730 every morning to go to the beach or [... read more] pool to reserve a spot. Overall we would go back, the food was amazing, service was good!

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Great place

This resort is as good as it gets. From the time you first arrive, to the time you leave, you will be well taken care of. The rooms are very well set up. ( I would recommend a swim up). Views are all good. Bar fridge well stocked and refilled daily. The grounds at Excellence are very clean, well looked after. And all restaurants are first rate. There is always something to do here. Nightly shows, games at the pool and beach, you are never without something going on of interest. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic Resort

Wonderful food, great amenities (water park, lots of pools) and consistently great service. Rooms were large, the Coba area of the resort was great as well as the beach. There were always shuttles to take you to the beach or the shopping area (which was huge). We did the dolphin experience at the resort. While ridiculously expensive, it was well done and we thorough enjoyed. We will be going back again for sure!

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: 16 Person Vacation

Good resort, this was actually my 2nd time here. We went with a group of 16 just for a standard vacation. Resort put us all in the same block so that was nice. Food was amazing, everything was clean, staff was awesome. The hotel is getting a little older so you can tell the rooms are starting to date and there is some wear and tear, but I am not on vacation to be in a room so what can you do. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Awesome vacation

Spacious rooms, beautiful grounds, great food. Very helpful , polite staff. Shuttles every 5 minutes to the beach or other resort. Fast checkin. room service was fantastic, no problems. would highly recommend.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort complex

We're very happy with BHP Coba. Staff are wonderful, accommodations comfortable, atmosphere fun. Ability to move between the different facilities means variety. We are having a great trip and recommend this hotel.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Resort:

Resort itself was excellent. Room clean. Staff excellent, courteous, extremely helpful not pushy in any way, Check in and out was fast. Trip to and from resort excellent. Tours arranged through representatives on site great. Choice of many pools and spa services. Gym was okay. Al la Carte restaurants had a Mexican touch to the food which is not true to the cuisine of the country represented. Although the staff were fabulous. The buffet was always good and selection was great.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Everything lovely

Booked hotel with trip central and everything went smoothly. We had a direct flight, were met at airport by professional staff. Hotel nice, beach clean and beautiful. Tours were well organized. Would be nice if à la carte restaurants reservations were more plentiful.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: I would definitely come back!

This resort fulfilled my expectations. It was kept clean, there was constant maintenance of the grounds, pool, resort. The food was good and the a la carte restaurants were good (except for the Italian) and the service was outstanding. The public washrooms were always clean and there were plenty of them throughout the resort. The service and the pleasantness of the entire staff was refreshing and welcoming.
