Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Well managed resort

Resort is beach front and well laid out with minimal walking involved. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful achieving high benchmarks in customer satisfaction while providing solid customer service. We stayed at adult section and upgraded which was an excellent choice as extras were greatly appreciated. Special thanks to our butler Erickson whose professional service and knowledge made our stay that much more enjoyable. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: All adult very positive

We've been to this Resort several times, Club Diamond twice and the Ambar twice. The grounds people are working all day every day to make sure the surroundings are well groomed, including the seaweed that washes up on the beach. This didn't deter us from enjoying the refreshing ocean waters. I use a cane as a mobility aid, and on several occassions was assisted by a buffet server in carrying my plate of food to my table - which was greatly appreciated. While some people review that they've got sick, it's true, but my comment to this would be - germs are everywhere your hands may touch >> pool chairs, pool bar, hand rails etc. and may not always be related to food sources. The only thing negative I would have to say is the temperature of the pool water. It's very warm, and not refreshing. We stayed last year at the Gran Bahia in Runaway Bay Jamaica, and their pool was cooler, so just not sure why the difference. Maybe they could pump some cooler water in during the day.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Very good Resort

Everything was Ok, but something was wrong with the food as my family experienced stomach pain and diarrhea. Beach was great and shows every night were Ok. Pools were good are staff were amazing. The kids enjoyed everyday of our vacations. Last day after check out, they gave us a room to prepare ourselves for the flight, but the room was very bad, it smelled bad and it was flooded. Good in general, but it could improve more things.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: amazing resort

Fantastic resort amazing staff and food, upgraded our stay from bavaro ( more family orientated - lots of teens) to the Esmeralda (all share the same resort) Room was nice, could use a face lift compared to other 5 stars I have been to, however, the service staff and food made up for it! Beautiful lobbys; and the luxury of enjoying all the amenities of 5 resorts in one by being able to use all their facilities was awesome! Make sure you ask for a Sammy Sosa at the Esmeralda pool bar. Fantastic rooms and great food options LOVED the choice in pools and the bartenders were Hot ! Great choice for a sweet vacation Gran bahia is consistently doing well at every resort I have stayed at highly recommend them

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Great Place to Stay

A very nice place to stay. We felt so relaxed and cared for. We never had a meal we did not like. The romantic dinner on the beach was PERFECT and we recommend it to anyone staying at this resort. The pool was about to get renovations and the beach was slightly messed up from the weather but nothing that we could not manage and it did not impact our experience. It was nice to be beside the non-adult resort but we really enjoyed the peace and quiet in the Royal side. All of the staff were tremend [... read more]ous and were there when we needed them. Housekeeping a little short on towels some days but easily corrected.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Recommending with Caution. Know what to expect

Let me start by saying we enjoyed our stay and had 10 happy days here. With just a few improvements it could be back to it's past most fabulous destinations. We have stayed here before and it certainly was a little less than in the past. The staff were not nearly as friendly as before, the food and a la carte restaurants were all quite good. Cleanliness was OK but could be better. Example of this is in the past we daily saw pool people scrubbing the tiles etc. as well as the lobby. Now the pool  [... read more]tiles were filled with black mold although the pool itself was always clean. Could be better. There were also a few areas around the pool bars that had big broken pieces that needed to be replaced. Time for an upgrade there. The rooms were cleaned daily but certainly not very well, even though we left a tip every day. I had a blood stained pillow case one day (gross) and the whole room in itself was cleaned within 5 minutes literally. I watched. The room fridge NEVER was cooler than room temp. even after asking several times for a adjustment. Our companions who are senior ladies with a few disabilities and in a handicapped suite, had their room broken into. Luckily nothing was stolen as they always carried their valuables with them but very unsettling never the less. When nicely informing the hotel about this immediately the door was fixed..... however..... it had not been fixed properly as the next morning it would not lock. After having been broken in the evening before it was quite disturbing for 2 senior ladies who were afraid to be in the room alone and also afraid to leave the room unattended. We informed the reception desk and spoke with "CARLOS" and never got even a sorry for our trouble. Just "that shouldn't have happened. we will look into it. I would expect a bit more to make their guests feel better about their stay. Also the time share people trying to get you to go spend some of our vacation time with them and listen to their sales pitch was never ending. A friendly No thank you should have been enough to let them know we were not interested. These people are not on the beach but on the Hotel itself and continuously interrupting conversations to make their pitch. Annoying. The beach was fabulous. Loved every minute down there. Grande Bahia Principe Bavaro, Punta Cana, we will be back to Punta Cana but not here.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great food beach and booze

They go above and beyond to make ur stay wonderful, rooms are all great, food is best of all resorts I've been to I been everywhere... Beach is great no sea weed white sand blue water , they have coors light beer and grey goose vodka, don't see that at many resorts it's very nice, sports bar is great get every game, buffet is awesome, along with steak house and Mexican and Japanese. We really enjoyed our stay at colonial majestic. Amazing accommodations and very good food. Really clean resort and great staff. Definetely would go back to this resort. Perfect location for the wedding we attended..overhaul great vacation.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Not a 5 star horrible beds mouse at the buffet

Horrible beds we had ants in the first room investing our bags. Then got moved to another room where the mattress was warped and woke up with horrible back and neck pains moved again to another room same problem. On the second last day of our trip there was a mouse eating the desserts inside of the buffet. It was absolutely disgusting. One lady video taped it i wish i had my phone. We are back in toronto and ive had diarehea body pains and stomach pains for 4 days on my way to Drs now. Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Great vacation spot!

I took my boyfriend to celebrate his 30th birthday and we had a wonderful time! The staff was great, the resort was clean and the food, especially at the a la carte restaurants, was fantastic! We will be returning soon!

this hotel wasnt exactly what we had hoped for...the food wasnt great...breakfast was a let down...we did manage to find something for lunch and supper..staff, very friendly..rooms ,very standard..even though we booked a superior..we did change rooms.they were well cleaned..

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: misinformed trip

Hotel staff was great, but misinformed us about our rooms.Travelled with parents and a friend all in their eighty's asked for a handicap room as dad is in whellchair ,we booked in the preferred area and on arrival were told no handicap rooms in that area .After we got home and complained were told we should have been offered a regular handicap room with all of the preferred privileges.Travelled with sunwing and paid for seat selection and when we got to the airport they had moved us into three d [... read more]ifferent rows

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort

We ended up in Ambar I and the location was perfect. We were close to the lobby/restaurant/pool and beach. We really didn’t need to use the trams except for a few of the ala carte restaurants and night time activities which was great. The staff were really super friendly, the beach was gorgeous and the food was good.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Bees, Bugs, poor service

Service was inconsistent. Staff were not that friendly. Grounds were not that well kept or clean. Room was decent size, however housekeeping was inconsistent. Drinks were good. Pools were a good size, but not cleaned well around it. Watch out for bees around the pool and lots of mosquitos at night. Food was just OK. We've had better at the Bahia Principe and even resorts in Cuba and Mexico. Only A la Carte we enjoyed was the Under the Sea. Would not return back or recommend to anyone.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fantastic Resort and Stay

This resort was amazing, everything about our stay was excellent. What we liked about this Resort is: the food is excellent and never the same, they have a lot of variety and it's very tasty. the people are great, friendly and always wanting to help out. The resort itself is absolutelly amazing, we love all the landscaping, the flowers, the plants & trees; I have never been to a resort that is so clean, our room was clean and beds were made twice a day. This was our fisrt time in a Five 5 * hote [... read more]l and we most certainly plan on going back to either the Luxury Ambar and or Luxury Esmeralda on that same site, we do have to say that a one week stay is not enough to take advantage of everything this resort has to offer.

I cannot say 1 bad thing, everything was excellent , the staff is so friendly, the entertainment, the food and the workouts on the beach as well as poolside made working out fun, yes fun!! I would recommend this resort to everyone.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great place

We stayed here for one week Sept 16-23 it was a great trip, beautiful resort! The food was good the Japanese restaurant was our favourite very good sushi. It is a large resort which we don't tend to do as we enjoy the smaller ones but it was always easy to get around with the shuttle , the beach was beautiful a little seaweed a few days but the workers tried very hard to keep that under control! Beautiful grounds and friendly staff overall o great trip!

Hotel in great shape. Grounds are excellent Pool great beach great would go back anytime. Staff excellent and very friendly. Beach in good shape but a little rocky in the water in some places. Would recommend this resort.
