Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Excellent

My husband and I just return from Blue Bay Villas Dorados and we loved the resort . Resort was small well landscaped and very clean and the people who are working there were very kind and pleasant and helpful in any situation. Food was excellent and plenty of variety in a lovely setting restaurant. My husband and I definitely will return and recommend this resort for any age group.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Outstanding Time

Hard to compare to other resorts as this was the only one I've been to, but I had an absolutely amazing time. Our room was quite clean and well kept with all working facilities. There was an abundance of activities to do on the resort for all ages. Our agent with sunwing who you could talk to at the resort helped us immensely with excursions and speaks very fluent English (Daly and Wesley) as well as some local concierges with the resort (Stephanie Ali). The a la carte restaurants were amazi [... read more]ng, especially the Mexican. The buffet was decent depending on how picky you are. Only complaint would be to leave the pools open in the later hours, but I understand they need to close for cleaning. Overall had an amazing time and loved every minute of my trip.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Dreams Punta Cana

*The resort was very nice - grounds were well kept. *The staff were very friendly but most spoke very little English. *The food was quite good and lots of variety. *There were ample loungers so no need to get up early to reserve one. *Standard rooms were very small. *It was very difficult to understand the announcer for the entertainment. *Great service at the restaurants and bars. *Loved the 1/4 mile long pool with pool loungers but the pool was very dirty.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Great resort

Grounds were super clean, rooms comfortable. The food really good. The entertainment team was great. special shout our to Sexy Felix and Frankie. One thing that could improve more ala Carte restaurants.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Outstanding Resort

We were quite happy with our stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Bougainville. We had originally purchased the trip for the family resort Grand Bahia Principe La Romana but upon our arrival we were pleasantly surprised that we had be upgraded to the Adult Only resort. We had stayed there the previous year and and thoroughly enjoyed it. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone. The al a carte restaurants were very good, and the buffet was good as well.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: not worth it

My room the bathroom shower backed up everyday with no help from the staff. There was never hot water in the shower. The was terrible. The staff was rude and looked down on you and would not help you when you asked for help or had a need., They gift shop everything in it was over priced like 15.00 american for two bags of chips. Would never go back there again . I was bored within two days there

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Clean

The resort was clean and the rooms were huge. The entertainment staff work there butts off from 10 am to 2am. The pool was small and they only had two bars one by the pool and one by the ocean so there was always a line up. The staff looked down on you if you weren't handing them money all the time. They were very rude at times. The rooms were never really cleaned we placed and x on the mirror and it stayed there the whole time. there dirt on the floor that was missed every time. Some [... read more]times the maids didnt lave leave two towels and two face clothes. Sometimes there was just one of each left which did work out well with two people in a room. The pool towels were in huge supply, I don't think they wash they I think they just kept putting them in the dryer never smelled cleaned every time. The all you can eat buffet was the same thing everytime. The food didn't taste that great at all. Everything in the kitchen tasted over cooked or tasted like crap. the resort never had much to do there at all. just beach or the pool. You were always being asked by sales people selling message hair braids or necklaces like crazy.

The Level at Melia Caribe: Good Resort

It was a good resort. Staff were very accommodating. I think it has gone down hill from previous visits by others I was travelling with. Welcome gifts not in rooms as previous years. Not all rooms had umbrellas. Some restaurant were not opened. Allot of vendors on the beach.

Puerto Plata Village: Exactly what I expected.

After staying in Puerto plata, sosua and cabarete 17 times I can honestly say this resort was exactly what I expected. It is a 3 star so did not expect all the frills of a 4 or 5 star. The staff was friendly and helpful. The good was ok but not top of the line. We never starved. The beach buffet had the best food. I read reviews of people complaining about locals on the resort but hey, it's there island so let them enjoy it. I did however pick the wrong weekend to start vacation as it was about  [... read more]day weekend. And it was packed with locals. So it was very busy. We met lots of nice people while there. The rooms were clean as were the grounds. And of course there were plenty of drinks. The mall is close by to walk to and shop or eat at. All in all it was a good trip.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great place to stay!

5 stars for sure. Grounds were beautiful, food was excellent, staff were amazing. The only bad thing was there was an adjoining room door and I could here the person snoring like a freight train. It was also disturbing when the drunk crowd got back to their rooms at 4am and slammed their room doors, at night it sounds like a bomb going off.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: GREAT Vacation at the Be live Collection

My wife and I stayed here between March 31 and April 7, 2018. As soon as we arrived we went straight to an employee and asked where the VIP Check-In was. Within 5 minutes we were being lead to the office with a seamless check-In. We were very happy that we upgraded to the VIP Adult section. It doesn't give you more A la Cartes, but the extra restaurants and bars made it worth while. Our butler's name was Felix and he did an awesome job!!! Room - we were in the 5 block which is in the VIP Family section, although we hardly saw or heard any children. Location was close to everything. We had a balcony and the bathroom was modern. Bed was comfortable. No complaints. Restaurants - VIP breakfast and lunch buffet was great. It is the Mexican restaurant at night, but in the day it is called the Aqua which is just for VIP. Steak Restaurant - had the Caesar salad, chicken wings, Rib-Eye (cooked specifically to my liking MEDIUM-RARE), and the roasted potatoes, along with the brownie for dessert. Everything was excellent!! Brazilian - If you are a meat lover, this place will suit you fine! Many different cuts of meat that is so tender and delicious!! Japanese - Tempenyaki style. A lot of fun and the food is delicious. Burger Joint - Everything was delicious, especially the chicken wings and mozza sticks! Beach - the beach was absolutely beautiful. They work very hard to rake up all the seaweed and was NEVER an issue. The water was a little mirky at the beginning of the week, but by day 4 it was very clear. Pool(s) - The activity pool, which is the only one with a swim-up bar, was always mirky and seemed to have a film on the top of it. It is also the only pool for people that don't have VIP, including kids. Didn't spend too much time there as the VIP Pools were much cleaner. Staff - These are the staff members that stand out most to us because of their great service, Orlando - I believe he was the VIP manager. He was great when we were checking in and helped us get settled in. Jose-Luis was our 1st butler. He helped by escorting us to our room and always speaking to us later in the week, even when he was replaced by someone else, FELIX! Like I had mentioned before Felix did an amazing job! He couldn't do enough for us!! Always there asking if we needed anything. It was our wedding anniversary and Felix, along with Jose-Luis, decorated our room with rose pedals, candles, and champagne! It was incredible. They definitely went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. Pedro, Irvin, Marlania, and Christian at the VIP Beach bar, were always friendly and provided great service! The animation team were also very friendly and would always ask how your day was. All in all, the service was superb. There are a lot of comments about the guys in the Beige shirts. yes they will ask you to meet to discuss time shares. My suggestion, and it worked for us, talk to one of them. Get his name. Remember it. And next time someone else asks you to meet, just say that you already spoke to ....! It can be annoying, but this is their job. They are usually friendly so just be respectful and they will do the same. Same goes with the people that are selling stuff on the beach. Just so no thank you and they will leave you alone. The landscaping and maintenance was very nice and clean!! All in all, we had a great trip and were pleased with everything! We would go back to this resort. If you can afford it the upgrade to VIP was worth it.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Best Resort I have been to.

To be honest The whole of it was simply perfect Beach was beautiful well kept as are the grounds Nice well kept rooms food was good no complaints and available 24 hrs at one of the bars . This place also had great restaurants and very friendly accommodating staff plenty of activities and shows This is one resort I would recommend to all and will return to.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Our Second Home

This was our 4th trip to the VH Gran Ventana. The people, food and service is amazing!!!! We have found our home away from home!!!! The beach could use a few more sun huts. We will be back!!!!!

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Fantastic Resort

Our whole experience from start to finish was superior. We would definitely do it again. The hotel staff were very warm and each and everyone of them always greeted us with a beautiful smile. This has got to be one of our best holidays we ever had.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Beautiful resort

Beautiful grounds well kept excellent food very clean amazing view from beach of coastline and mountains professional staff pleasant staff standard room was great don’t use pool area but the pools were large and well maintained only downside for me no umbrellas or huts onthe beach for sun protection give grand paradise an 8 out of 10

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Beware!

The resort food was terrible, over half of the travel party got sick. Also, the resort allows the locals into use the facility during the day and night. I’ll end this review with a quote from my wife “can we leave I don’t feel safe”... this was at the coffee shop..... Steer clear!

The resort was very clean. They even spent all day raking up the beach. The rooms were very nice. The food was fine. The service in the a la carte restaurants was very slow and the staff on the front desk weren't very friendly or helpful.

Great resort , excelent food ,service and staf. Would go back in a heart beat. Love love love the beach❤️ For a big resort getting around was a breeze with transportation provided. Looked forward to breakfast every morning and couldn’t wait for lunch or supper., food was great

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: 4th time and still going back!

The main draw is the great food, terrific staff and 19 pools! U always have a place to lounge without having to get up early and save a spot. Timeshare workers will leave u alone if u say u did it before. Just say no a few times and they leave u alone or go on the tour on a rainy day. It’s interesting but not something we want to do. Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort!

Pros: Close to the airport, hotel grounds and beach are well kept on a daily basis very clean, hotel and public areas are bright, very spacious, welcoming atmosphere and has a fantastic vibe in the evenings. Love the amount and variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff is friendly across all areas of this resort from check in to night security always saying hello. The beach was heaven soft powdery white sand; clean, and it was noticeable how clean compared to the other resorts along Bavaro beach. The ocean is spectacular, no rocks, very little plant life floating in the swim area, near the end of our stay caught site of only 2 small fish that must have snuck in to the swim area. The spa was luxurious, felt truly pampered. This was a perfect vacation for two during a rare occasion without our kids. This is a very large resort with a shuttle/train and golf carts to get around however we enjoyed walking. We stayed from April 25-May 2 2018 resort was comfortably populated weather was around 29 degrees celsius daily and sunny with some rain at night. Con's that may be unfavourable to others: the smell of fuel in the air at the beach lots of boats, tours etc occurring daily out past the swim area. The cobblestone roads throughout the resort are used by train/shutles, golf carts and pedestrians so you do have the smell of fuel at times. Currently there are renovations happening so the sound of construction is around, this should be close to completion. The one thing I was not a fan of at check out is the gentleman discussed a hotel policy that guests need to pay 2.00USD which apparently 100% goes to Unicef. (2 dollars is not much to groan about but the whole thing was questionable to me....... anyway. I would go back no hesitation.
