Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: What a FANTASTIC Resort!!!!!!

What a fantastic Honeymoon!! The Majestic Elegance is a great resort, the staff are very accommodating and Courteous!! The entertainment team is out of the world the are very energetic and entertaining!! We would most certainly return for future vacations!! We highly recommend The Majestic Elegance Punta Cana to friends family and people we don't even know!! It would be a great experience for all!! Kerry & Trevor!!

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Best hotel ever

Rooms, Food& Drink, Grounds, pool& Beach were all great. The service was excellent. Free Wi-Fi everywhere on the resort. Free calls home to Canada & USA from the room... The steakhouse was the best restaurant by far.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Excellent trip

This trip was excellent from start to finish. I only wish it was a direct flight rather than having a layover. But seriously that is so minor. The people are amazing, the food is amazing, everything was amazing. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Fantastic Resort!!

This was our first trip together as a couple and the resort was absolutely perfect! We got a room over looking the ocean in the adults only section, and the room was very clean and so was the resort. The beach was phenomenal, they would have the seaweed cleaned up before 7am, when you walk along the beach to the other resorts you see how awesome Barcelo Bavaro is!! The Adults only pool was a bit quiter as well, but the swim up pool bar was more eventful if that is what you are into! Great staff, [... read more] so many choices for the a la cartes - the Japanese one is great even though it is extra. Even the buffets had very good food - fresh seafood, chicken, beef, whatever you like! The resort is very big so you get the exercise walking around, but they do also have a train to take you around the resort every 10 minutes. We did the Snuba tour and speed boat which was extremely fun, they put on a good trip!! Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone - couples will definitely enjoy! We will be coming back here to enjoy again next year :)

Occidental Caribe: 4 stars hotel.

Food was horrible. Really bad customer service. The hotel has weekend packages for people living there who have very bad manners. They behave really bad and the hotel look like a 2 stars hotel during the weekend.

Blau Natura Park Resort: A resort like home away from home

We went to the resort on September 4 for a week . Admittedly before we took off , we were a little concerned as we saw some negative reviews about the resort . But when we were checking in our concerns were eased bit by bit . We checked in at about 9:30 pm .The front desk Flor was very thoughtful , she asked us to go to the restaurant to eat first as it was closing. And she would watch over our luggage at the front desk and allocate us the room . Very considerate service ! And the room she gave  [... read more]us amazed us . Very clean room , it is not dated at all . We, a party of 3 people , were very happy with every detail of the room . Next morning when we explored the resort , we found the grounds beautiful and clean really like a nature park with those lovely ducks , geese , peacocks and flamingos . The beach though not one of the best because of massive seaweed, but resort staff did a very good job clearing the seedweed . Therefore we stayed on the beach whole day 2 days in a week and quite enjoyed it . In fact we preferred the beach to the pool which is also out of sight with a fantastic swim up bar . How can we not mention the restaurant , the food and the servers' servicewhen we were impressed by the resort . We were all happy with main buffet restaurant at every breakfast , lunch and dinner . We tried all the a la carte resturants , all were epic , especially the Gondola Italian restaurant . My wife was moved as the staff came surprisingly with a birthday cake to celebrate her birthday . Thank You ! Herrera and your coworkers ! All the servers and bartenders are warm and enthusiastic , especially Flor , Herrera and Tony . You all deserve my commendation . One more thing , do not miss the burger at the snack bar on the beach . We all loved it . All in all , we had a great time at the resort with nothing disappointing . We strongly recommend this resort and will definitely come back . Blau Natura Park , keep up the good work .

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Horribly disappointing

Property photos are misleading as most of them are taken in the upgraded (Be Adult only/Premier Club/VIP) areas. Language is a huge barrier as few staff were able to speak even limited english. Room cleaning was not throughly done every day (we purposely left a bar of soap provided by the hotel on the shower floor that remained there for the duration of our stay) Horrible smell in the room, in particular the linens. frebreeze didnt even work. Food was either too saltly or tasteless even in the a [... read more] la carte restaurants. had only toast for the last 3 days of my stay. wine was at a cost in the italian restaurant. Non stop vendors on the beach. non stop selling of hotel products on the property. outside vendors on the property at night selling products.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Go somewhere else, for real

I just just returned from Sirenis with my boyfriend and after reading reviews we were hesitant but also realize so travellers have higher expectations about the little things then we do so we usually brush them off. Well this time we shouldn't have done that. I would consider myself a well versed traveler when in comes to all inclusives, traveling somewhere every 8 months for the last 10 years and this is the only place that I have gone to where all the negative reviews have hit the nail on the  [... read more]head ! I emailed the hotel prior to our trip to request a room in a certain area and they returned my email promptly says they would do their best but nothing could be guareteed. Totally understandable. What I did not expect was to check in and be put in a room and the very back of the resort that had a pile of garbage outside the door and wasn't even the one bedroom suite that we had paid for. When we were sent to this room... Without a bell boy, dragging our bag across the resort....which I have never had happen at a resort apon arrival.... I knew the room would be unsatisfactory as the lady at the desk said "if this room is not okay come back tomorrow and we will see what we can do". I didn't wait i rolled my bag back to front desk and demanded a new room. Next thing I know they are taking is to another room with ocean view. Again not great room but great view. So we were happy but then we realized that that was going to cost us 200 US to stay there. Refusing to pay they took us back to front desk bag in hand then to check out another room that smelt like raw sewage. Needless to say that at this point we were very frustrated and it was 9pm. We knew they had more rooms as it was a Sunday in sept and the resort wasn't even half full but these were our options. I know they played us because at that point we had no option but to upgrade because everything they offered us was disgusting. I feel like they saw my email and used it against me because they knew what I wanted. I was not happy. I am sure at one point this resort was great but it seems they have let it go. The layout is good and the gardens were very nice. Ana our server at the buffet was amazing always decorating our table for us every morning. And johnathan at the tropical pool bar was great. They made our stay more enjoyable. As for everything else rooms are falling apart, pools falling apart, no ac anywhere really even brutal in room, concierge just wanted to to do timeshare breakfast and would give run arounds with a al cartes. They let the locals in on weekends which is over whelming even let them play their own stereo and music at the pool. This is definately not what we wanted from a resort and will not be returning.

IFA Bavaro Village: Great Resort

This hotel is very well located, I was in the Village side. The room was very nice, with 2 double beds, there is no possibility to have a third bed in any rooms. There is no balcony but opening the doors give you a great view and the breeze of the warm air. There is a mini fridge full of water and soft drinks. The cleaning has been done everyday. I have been to the buffet and at the restaurant at the beach. Food was good and wine too, to my surprise. The beach was cleaned of algas everyday. Its  [... read more]still a large resort, you can walk to the beach or there is a shuttle also. I have been also at the pool, a see through water. Entertainment was great too. The people at the reception were very kind, smiling at all times and very respectfull. Walk-by there is Palma Real Shopping Mall or in a cab ($20US) Plaza San Juan.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Many disappointments, but a nice resort

The resort was very nice visually and the rooms were lovely. All of the buffet, restaurant and most of the bar staff were fantastic. The food quality and selection was great. The beach was very nice but as others have stated there was a lot of seaweed. Staff collected the seaweed constantly but there is nothing else that can be done. I felt that the ocean view was cluttered with parasailing, many anchored and moving boats etc. but on the other hand there is no shortage of activities (if you have [... read more] the $). The first room we were in (tropical view) had an interesting concept as the bathroom was open to the sleeping area. Although the toilet and shower were separated by swinging glass doors, I felt there was little privacy when doing your business. We encountered a few "small" problems with the first room and the staff at the resort handled it very well by putting us in an alternate room with a pool view. The second room was slightly smaller but the bathroom was separated from the sleeping area by patterned glass which was much better for privacy. There are several reasons why I will not be returning to this resort. The first reason is is the vendors. You are constantly approached by guys trying to sell you excursions, photographs etc. Whether you are lying on the beach, sitting around the pool or going into the ocean they will approach you. You quickly learn to give a firm "no" although that occasionally has to be repeated several times. It may just be my mild mannerism, but I felt myself looking over my shoulder preparing for the next vendor to approach which added stress to what should have been a stress-free vacation. The second reason was due to privacy/security. One afternoon while my wife was sleeping in bed and I was on the balcony she was woken by a stranger curiously looking at her luggage. This surprised both her and the man. To be fair he genuinely believed this was his room and had asked a staff member to let him in as he had forgotten his key. There was no harm in this situation but the fact that some staff are willing to let anyone into a room without the confirmation that would be required at the front desk concerned me. A second privacy concern came when we had placed a rotting fruit basket that had not been removed when room service was completed just outside our door so as to not attract cockroaches. Half an hour after placing the basket a maid comes directly into out room without any warning while I am standing in my underwear and accosts us about the basket. Again no harm came from this situation but privacy and security are a serious issue for me. The third reason is the segregation between regular guests and preferred members. The are pools, beach areas, bars and restaurants that are only usable to preferred members. I can understand paying for a better room with a nice view of the ocean but this level of segregation seems unnecessary. This is not a big issue though, there are plenty of available areas for non-preferred members. In conclusion there were too many problems and stressful moments that we encountered to be able to say that I enjoyed this vacation. I'm sure that this would vary vastly for other guests but these are my honest opinions. For these reasons I will not be returning to this resort nor would I recommend it.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: It was a beautiful dream!

We held our wedding at the beach there. The setting was exactly I imagined. The hotel was beautiful and clean, the food was good and tropical. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lot of fun there and would definitely go again!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Fantastic Resort!

This resort exceeded our expectations. The transfer was via a very comfortable coach bus and only about 25 minutes. Check in went extremely smoothly. Our rooms were immaculate and cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis often with diplays of hibiscus flowers on the beds and washroom. The grounds were maintained by a small army of people who always had a smile. The food at all the buffets and restaurant was well prepared and fresh daily. Drinks at all the bars were cold and plentiful. There were lite [... read more]rally hundreds of recliners both at the several pools and on the beach so getting chairs to relax on was never a problem. Lots of activities for the kids as well. Overall this resort was 10 out of 10 and we would highly recommend it to family and friends.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Diahrea there and back

Hotel looked fabulous however the climate a bit too hot to enjoy. They could have had more shaded walking areas to and from amenities. I got what can be described as a stabbing or burning pain in the gut area and around the back that lasted for 3 days. It may have been food poisining.

Occidental Caribe: Barcelo

The place was very nice, staff was excellent, food was good Beach was beautiful, pools were great, could another swim up bar there was only one . Everything was within walking distance and the view from our room was spectacular

Grand Bavaro Princess: wonderfull place

Everything was perfect eccept the "upgrade room" to a suite. The hotel did 'nt want to give us tthe place we use to have on the complex because of that. We had to argue for a long time and we finally got what we asked for. But nex time you should advise the customer about the "upgrade room to suite they will gave you the worst place on the site.

Excellence Punta Cana: Perfect honeymoon!

From the moment we stepped foot on the property it was paradise. Every staff member was so kind and happy. Once we got to the room , it exceeded our expectations., it was big with lots of space and very clean. 10 different restaurants, all with great options and entertainment every night ! The beach and pool area were amazing, always clean and lots of staff there to get drinks or food for you. I can't wait to come back! This resort was perfect for honeymooners , so romantic especially with their [... read more] honeymoon package. My husband and I had the time of our lives.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Nothing Major to Complant

Overall it's a nice hotel. The rooms are clean and quiet enough as long as the door and window are closed. The buffet has great variety of choice and the a la carte restaurants are even better. If there's one thing to complaint, it's their English skill, most of the staff can only speak Spanish and for those who can speak English also has limited words. The resort was beautiful and clean, the food was amazing, the rooms were well appointed and the staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was in close proximity, so not a lot of walking required. Would definitely return!

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Beautiful resort

It is a large resort, but manageable to get around by train or by taxi. The resort is well maintained, the staff is very friendly and always making sure that you have everything you need. There is a large choice of restaurants with a good variety of foods. There are large pools with swim up bars, the bartenders are very friendly. Miguel at imperial service was great. The only negative thins were the guys set up for the market, very persistent and would not leave you alone. It was a very relaxing [... read more] time in the sun. Can't wait to go back. This was our second time there with our kids.

Love the pool and the food a lot o choices and all the staff from pool to dining ,bar they are all friendly staff. Good to recommend to all my friends and relatives. Wants to go back again with lots of friends and family. to enjoy
