Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Awesome

Everythig was great, would go back for sure, everyone was so nice, things were so clean, pool and beach was perfect, food was fantastic, wish i coyld have stayed for two weeks, next time we just might.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good resort, very pretty

We have traveled south for many years and this was one of the better resports. We did not have VIP ststus, I dont need anyone to wait on me. However when we got there we were not happy with our room and asked to me changed mainly because all of our family were in the 16 block, the manger a very nice man, said come back tomorrow at three and we will move you. True to his word we were changed and in our room by 1630. Not too bad we were in the up graded area with pool view. The beach party was a lot of fun so was the entertainment. I would go back to this resort but never late April, way to hot, lol but we did have sun and fun alll week thanks to Air Canada and Heather at Trip Central all were great.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Dream Vacation

Everything about this vacation was great from booking with Natausha at Trip Central, flying with WestJet from Toronto's Pearson Airport YYZ to Punta Cana's International Airport PUJ, our resort transfer bus staff, tour operator, and every member of staff we encountered while at Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro... Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great Vacation Spot

Enjoyed our stay at Sunscape. Rooms were clean.Service was great.Staff were super friendly.Espically appriciated that no reservations were required at the speciality restaurants. The beach was beautiful--restaurant and bar and bathroom conveniently located for easy access.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Resort

The hotel was well spaced out and a good amount of shuttles to take you back to your rooms. Lots of activities to get involved in daily. Food was good, lots of variety at the buffet and single nightly restaurants. Staff looked like they really enjoyed working there

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: A great family resort

The grounds are really beautiful and well kept and clean including the pools and the beach. The resort is very large. We went during off season so it wasn't packed. I think the resort would be too busy during high season...thousands of people. The rooms are comfortable and great for kids sleeping. However the rooms are a bit outdated and have had some wear and tear. The food was mediocre. The check in process was awful. Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio: Beautiful resort, country and all inclusive vacation

The rooms were very clean and updated, the staff was absolutely fantastic. The food was 9/10 and there was lots of variety in the buffets. The grounds were constantly being maintained and there was plenty of beautiful areas to sit and enjoy the scenery. We traveled with our 9month old son and we were accommodated perfectly with a crib in the room and a first floor room. I highly reccomend booking through trip central and staying at emotions. Secrets Royal Beach: Amazing resort

This is one of the cleanest resorts we have been to. Well kept inside and out. Our room was wonderful house keeping during the day and turn down service at night. The staff was excellent always helpful,polite and friendly. We enjoyed the fact we did not have to reserve for the dining rooms. There was always something going on at the beach and at the pool. Yes there was some seaweed no biggie. Would we go back YES !!!!!

Occidental Caribe: We loved our visit!

The value for this hotel is amazing! The grounds are beautiful, and the pools and kids club made our stay with a 4 year old and 2 teens so much more enjoyable. The staff at the kids club were great and made our daughter feel right at home. By far the best thing about this location is the stunning beach!! It was pristine with bright aqua water and white sand. You can walk on it forever and the stretch of beach in front of this resort was the nicest. This water park is for younger kids only. They would not let my older kids go down the slides with her so that made it less appealing and in the end she only went once. Notables: 1) Our room (good beds and clean...a bit dated but we did not care!) was overlooking the pool and the beach which was stunning and the balcony was so nice in the morning but it was also where the entertainment was at night and it was SO loud in our room. Fortunately our 4 year old slept through it all but by 11pm us adults had enough of the loud music and partying. Usually it was done by 11 latest. We often heard drunk people yelling etc until 6am as well. The resort staff acted on it quickly if you called though. Every other night was quiet so that came as a relief. 2) The food was average to good. Pretty much what I expected for the most part but I do wish it has been a bit better. We still enjoyed all of the à la carte restaurants and the buffet was good with lots of options. My favourite food was the Italian but my kids loved the Japanese restaurant and experience. Staff were great there! 3) Four out of five of us got a tummy bug on day 3/4. Nothing too bad but we were all nauseated etc. and lasted 1-2 days. It did not keep any of us in bed, but it was a challenge to eat. Hard to say what caused it so no advice on what to avoid:(

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing resort

We spent a week at the Majestic Colonial Regal Class (adults only). What a great vacation. The resort was redone last year. There is always a nice breeze even in the lobby at night. You re not crowded. Nice comfortable chairs everywhere.The service was exceptional. A La carte restaurants very good. Three of the A La Carte restaurants are in the lobby &the other 2 are at the beach. Our butler Reinaldo was great. He would check with us daily to see if there was anything he could do for us. On the negative side the food in buffet wasn t always identified & wasn t always hot. But the food was very good. Looking forward to returning there in the future.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Fabulous resort!!!

Our hotel rooms and grounds were kept extremely clean. Room Service was amazing...food was hot and delicious!!(large portions) :) I requested joining rooms and we got them. The entertainment was excellent for young and old. Every night! The kids pool was the BEST I have ever seen! Watersides even for small children and with three lifeguards!!! The snackbar at this pool was great. Lots of goodies to eat and drink. All positives here people!

Secrets Royal Beach: Wonderful resort

The resort, restaurants, beach, pool and staff are all fabulous. We would definitely return. We stayed at the preferred section and enjoyed how conveniently it was located to everything. We enjoyed our dinners at all of the restaurants as well as the Mercur at the Now Larimar. Service was excellent!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Very nice resort

Even thought this was a small resort, it was still very comfortable and having wifi throughout the resort was great , food was really good with lots of variety, rooms were nice although there was a lack of towels and stocking of mini bar was slacking. over all a very nice time was had and would recommend to friends

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: very clean resort

loved the resort when we arrived,not impressed with sunwing airlines will not be taking them again. a beautiful resort the restaurants are good the best is thalassa,the staff are very attentive and always smiling.forget the Italian terrible staff no smiles no organization.unless you ask for things like water or wine you won't see them. the ability to use the family side of the resort was great , the service on that side was better. the beach yes there was lots of seaweed but the staff did a gre [... read more]at job in cleaning the beach,the waiters and waitress were great on the beach never had to track down anyone. would I recommend this resort,yes I would the staff have to change in some restaurants.you cant beat the beach or the water,warm after lunch and you can walk out into the ocean for a mile a long sand bar.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Perfectly Fabulous!

We visited OB&S for the first time this April. We are in our 50s and the guests were a very mixed age group which was great. We loved so many aspects of this resort -- the layout and access to everything was like a mini city; our room was very spacious, always stocked, and very clean; the grounds were well maintained and also very clean. The Marina buffet at the beach was very good, albeit repetitive, but we ate there every lunch because Juan Miguel's service was fabulous. We would highly recommend the Steakhouse for dinner - both their steak and chicken were delicious, the service was fantastic, and Joelle and her staff were a pleasure. Sensai Japenese was another great a la carte. The Sports Bar was the place to be during the week of our stay as the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins were facing off in NHL playoffs. The Bartender in the Sports Bar (name escapes me) was overworked on those nites, but he managed to please, and on the quieter nites made sure we also had our drinks, without us even asking - he remembered each nite! Entertainment around the lobby was varied and entertaining. The pools, their bartenders, the activities, and the afternoon entertainment crew was energetic. One pool had the activities and the other was considered the "quite pool". We lounged at the quiet pool. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas but getting up before 6:30am to put towels down is necessary if you want an umbrella. We didn't lounge on the beach, just walked each side and went in for dips in the ocean which was very nice, but a little merky. It was everything we wanted in a week's vacation. The only downside was the fact that numerous people had their safes broken into and management did absolutely nothing about it in the way of a resolution, almost blaming the victims for leaving money and passports in a locked safe. This needs to change. But for this fact, we had a fun and relaxing time with perfect weather and the best serving staff ever! We will return, and hopefully will not have to carry our valuables with us every moment!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Wonderful vacation

This was our second all-inclusive vacation to the Caribbean and we were not disappointed. The resort was lovely and very clean. The food was good, although the breakfast buffet did not change and became quite repetitive after the 4th day. (But definitely try the hot chocolate available during breakfast -- very yummy!) The room decor felt dated but the ocean view from our balcony more than made up for the interior decor. Husband is 6'5" and felt very enclosed while showering however. The sp [... read more]orts bar on the Palace side would benefit significantly from an upgrade to their air conditioning system -- as the only place to watch the NHL playoff games while on vacation, the bar became ridiculously hot and stuffy with so many people inside. Sunscape Puerto Plata: Not so Excellente

Resort conveniently located 20 minutes from the airport. Clean, well-kept, over-crowded with inhospitable locals. No shower for two days. No AC for two days. Sporadic power outages. No towel shortage +. Staff very scripted and robotic. Food was fair. Beer was good, cocktails bad. Staff no English. House keeping inconsistent. Pushy vendors at the beach and on resort. Felt like I was trying to be sold something everywhere I went. Loud and rowdy at night. Security non-exsistent. Not a p [... read more]lace for relaxation. Party resort for young adults and locals. Overpriced everything in shops on resort (28$ sunscreen) mall was a hidden gem 5 minutes away. Had issues with front desk. Not polite or courteous to guests. Cafe Coco was excellente. Went to Puerto Plata as a couple seeking a relaxing week away from stress, noise , and the hustle bustle of everyday life. And we endured more of all three in one week at Sunscape than we would at home. We are in our late twenties. Open-minded and dont normally complain. Felt the truth needed to be said. Too many good reviews. If it sounds too good, it probably is. Initially had high hopes for this resort, I will not be returning.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Terrific resort

We loved our stay. The food was fantastic, the views were breathtaking and the service was super. We had a room facing the pool with a huge balcony. I won a trip to this hotel so it was not my choice but, I am so glad we stayed here. The front desk staff were very helpful and efficient. Snorkelling was great, saw a a lot of fish. My only complaint would be the room key. I had to get it re activated numerous times because it went near my cell or my husbands wallet with a magnet.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Yes very nice !

Lovely location and holiday ! The beach was superb and the staff were outstanding. Everything was close to our rooms and the weather was sunny and 29c. Excursion went really well and guide Bobby J was fantastic. Food and al a carte restaurants were a real treat.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great for families

We visited Memories Splash in April 2018. The resort was clean as well as the rooms and the staff were friendly. Resort is large. There is a trolley to take you to different stops as well as the sister resort which has beach access. Lots of stuff to keep you busy. Water slides/park was our favourite part. Con would be check in and out are extremely slow. Not enough staff to run the front desk.
