Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: This resort is "Excellente"!!

We just got back from spending 1 week at this resort and our staying went too quick. Our experience was exceptional. Let me start by saying our room was clean and housekeeping did a great job keeping it that way. The gardens are immaculate and beautiful. The lobby was always clean with many areas to sit and have a drink or coffee with our friends. The food was ample, fresh and well presented at the buffets and the service was very friendly. Roberto who made our omelettes was always swift wi [... read more]th a smile and always aimed to please. Hector was also very friendly and quick to pour us our morning coffee. We tried all 6 a la carte restaurants and the food was amazing. They offer many choices and again the food was fresh and plentiful. The animation team, Beba, Jocelyn, Ana Celia, Cindy, Chocolat and Dario, worked tirelessly all day to ensure the guests were entertained and having a good time. Santo and Celeste at the swim up bar were always friendly and aimed to please everyone. Edy, our butler, made our stay special by helping us celebrate our anniversary with a bottle of champagne, lavender scent essence ready to heat, rose petals sprinkled in our room with a nice hot bath ready for us. We came with another couple who were celebrating their anniversary as well who got the same treatment. If there is anything to complain about it's the lack of english t.v. stations however with the free wifi and our tablet, we were able to stream movie and tv shows. This resort is a gem. We will definitely be coming back.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Unfforgetable Stay

Our friends and us spent just a wonderful time, great food and drinks, entertainment and the weather came with sunny days. The check-in process took a little more than expected, maybe need more staff at the front desk at arrival time, many flights landing between 12~4 pm. Wi-Fi was not included in the package, today's world most people want to be connected.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great resort!

My husband and I spent the week of April 17-24 2018 at this resort. Right from the moment we checked in I really liked the way the front desk treated us. Check in was quick and efficient, the rooms were spacious and very clean. The food at this resort was amazing, and plentiful. The people were very pleasant and helpful if we wanted or needed anything. The lobby was very clean and bright. The pool areas were very clean and lots of lounge chairs. The only thing that was a bit of a draw back  [... read more]was the beach, it was very clean and lots of palapas but the water was not as clear as I would have liked it. I would definitely return to this resort and recommend it to anyone who would like a luxury resort to go to.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Wondeful Resort!!

Went to this resort April 7-14th. We had a wonderful room. The services were all wonderful. Beach is absolutely stunning and goes on forever. The grounds are kept very clean. Food was amazing in the buffet and the a la cartes. Lots of Beach Chairs available at the beach and the pool area. The daily and nightly entertainment was amazing. We didn't want our week to end. We wish they would [... read more] have just told us it would be a couple hours and we would have left and came back but they made it seem like it was going to happen quickly. There was no one else checking in with us so I am not sure why they made us wait around for so long.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Esmeralda - Excellent!

We had a great vacation staying at the Bahaii Principe Esmeralda. Great food, drink, service, entertainment - close to the pools and ocean. Highly recommend it - and would go back to this resort again. Cheers!

Grand Bavaro Princess: Great spot! Would return!!

The hotel/grounds were huge. The place is immaculate, and beautiful. Had a great time, enjoyed the beach, and both pool areas. I personally never had a bad meal, one of our party did however have a bad steak (the striploin, it was horrible) at the steak restaurant. I would definitely return to this spot and would highly recommend to friends.

Occidental Caribe: Fun for everyone!

This resort has something for everyone! The beach is long, clean and beautiful. There's three pools, one is a "party" pool, another is a splash pad/wading pool for young children, and the third is family friendly. There's even rock climbing, a trapeze, and trampoline to keep the kids entertained. The nightlife is great with live music at both lobby bars, and live shows every night that will appeal to young and old alike. The Hurricane night club is great if you love Soca. Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Party or Relax

My husband and I just returned from a week stay at breathless. The beach here was beautiful and you could go for long walks daily. There were many pools to choose from some being the quieter pools while the other was the busier pool with music blasting all day. There was a mixture of people of all ages, singles and couples. The room was okay definitely needs some updating and more furniture ex. couch or table and chairs especially when you decide to order room service. Do not get a ground floor room unless you want to get woken up every night from people walking back from the Afterdark bar which is opened until 3:00am. We were woken up on several occasions to people yelling in the hallway. This doesn't happen in a couples only resort. The food was good, but not exceptional. The service was very good and the employees work hard every day and some have multiple jobs. The employees is really what makes this resort survive. We couldn't make reservation for supper however some of the waiting time was really disappointing. The entertainment was good and especially the beach party/Fire show, but unfortunately the pool party was cancelled due to rain. Lots of entertainment throughout the day on the beach/pool if you like to exercise. The drinks were watered down including the wine which surprised me for a 4+ resort. This was really disappointing. This was our first time at a resort with singles usually we do couples only (not to be critical but The excellence Resort/Secrets Resort). In the future we will be going to couples only resorts. This was not as luxurious as we had hoped, but still had a good time.

Occidental Caribe: Great Beach Resort

the Occidental Carrie is all about the beach and pools. It is an older resort so the rooms could be best described as adequate but dated. Cleanliness was good and the service was excellent. The entertainment was very disappointing. There are several hotels in the are and it makes one wonder why some one doesn’t create half a dozen quality shows and rotate then from one resort to another and just repeat week after week since few people seem to stay much more than a week. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Will go back again!

Excellent vacation, great food , service, beach and pool. Accommodations and weight room excellent as well. Wilson and Nicholas at beach bar were terrific. The Animation Team is a lot of fun led by Angelica.. she is great! Pablo and Yrlandy were out servers at the beach steakhouse and they were also fantastic. Spa option was enjoyed by my children!

Whala Bayahibe: Good Hotel!

Pros: The hotel is very clean, food was good, majority of the people were friendly, the workers work very hard everyday for their guests and pools are amazing! Cons: No beach ,but it was fun jumping off the small cliff into the ocean. The hotel needs more seating (had to get up early to secure chairs ),the hotel should add more sand and beds were too firm for us.

Occidental Caribe: Beautiful beach. Large resort

Super large resort. Always something to do. Great large pools. You can always find a chair around the pool or on the beautiful, powdery beach. Food and beverages available 22 hours aday. Yes 22 hours. The food/drinks are at a 3 star resort level at best. 80% of the staff seem annoyed to be there. A few great staff members like the doctor that is there 24/7 Beds are comphy. Rooms are clean and a/c works well. I would only go back to this resort if it was on sale at an amazing price.

Occidental Caribe: Great resort, beautiful beaches!!!

The hotel was great, while there are always small things that you could complain about what's the point. The weather is hot, rooms were always cleaned and fridge restocked daily. Food was plentiful and the service was bar none.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Beautiful resort

We had a relaxing enjoyable holiday at the Grand Paradise Hotel. The location is just stunning with beautiful views of the ocean and mountains from the beach and even the dining room. We were well looked after from arrival until departure. The staff in the dining room were exceptional, The names of Santa, Andy, Wilfry, and Carlos come to mind. Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Ok resort!!

Rooms were really outdated at tropical, which was given to Us but we wanted and booked in conferessi. Food was good, even buffet had Asian and Mexican theme and food tasted good (salt could be less;)). The shower would make the whole bathroom wet and there was no fan in little tiny bathroom. The rooms are done only if signs are posted othewsise ignored.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Hotel was good

The hotel was nice but could use updating. Food was poor and the grounds were very nice. They could use more restaurants with better menus. Buffet was ok. The tablecloths were never changed. Pool area was very nice and clean but closed the pool at 7:00 pm. There was no place to sit and enjoy a fresh brewed coffee. The coffee was from a vending machine. Customer service wasn’t very friendly either. If you want to use the safe in your room there is a charge of $3.00 a day.

Occidental Caribe: Great resort!

This was our first time in an all inclusive resort so we have nothing to compare it with. The grounds were amazing. We loved the pools and outdoor activities. We came for a wedding and the ceremony and food were outstanding. The restaurants were great. We had reservations to the Italian and Japanese and we were pleasantly surprised. The employees were very engaging and tried to accomodate you. The buffet restaurant is huge and the food was hit and miss. Still always able to find something yummy. [... read more] My least favourite part was our room. Had a musty smell and the beds were only doubles. But we didn't spend much time in the room. The beach was the best part. Waves are huge all the time and water is clean.

Riu Republica: All around great

Stayed a week at riu republica and it was a great vacation. Food was pretty good. There’s something for everyone. No reservations make it great for the specialty restaurants. Staff was great. The activities were pretty much endless. Beach is great. All around great vacation

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: A week in Paradise

Everything about this resort went above and beyond our expectations. We never understood people who would return to a resort more than once but after an amazing couples trip we cant wait to return with the kids to experince everything Barcelo has to offer.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Great Holiday

Overall, Catalonia Royal was great. The grounds are well kept.The majority of the staffs are amazing. I do however was very disappointed in the staff at the Italian. The food was excellent, but the staff made you feel they did not want you there. They did not smile, it seems they did not want to be working there. I do however have to call out the following staff from the Thalassa restaurant, Andrea, Jean, Angelina and Lorenzo, were absolutely amazing.
