Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Great Family Vacation

Everyone had a good time and enjoyed the resort. The beach is fantastic and the staff are welcoming and very friendly. It was worth the extra money to enjoy the amenities of the Preferred Club. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

This resort is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well kept, the restaurants are spotless and the food was great. The beach is not the best, it's rocky and lots of seaweed. Lots of games set up on the grass. We were Preferred Club and it was great. Very safe area in Cap Cana. Security to let you into the area, and security to let you into your resort.

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Mixed Emotions

Although we've landed at this airport many times, this is the first time we actually stayed in the Cancun area. The weather was not great - cloudy and occasional showers all week, but the wind blew every day!! So much so that the ocean was off limits a couple of times. I could be wrong, but I believe the location of this resort contributes to the windy conditions. The beach is very narrow, and they've had to put sand bags down, probably to slow down the erosion. The beach is better just a short  [... read more]walk away to the next resort (or condo). The service was great. We appreciated the waiter service poolside, or to your lounge chair on the beach. This isn't offered at every resort. The restaurant staff is also very hard working and friendly. Appreciated the coffee bar in the lobby - this is also something we look for in a resort. Our room was .... okay. It needed repairs, and there was a sewage smell coming from the shower drain. We had a balcony, which was great, as not all rooms had one. The room was clean, and the maid service was done early. This resort doesn't hand out wrist bands, and doesn't issue towel cards. I think they should rethink the towel card policy, as people would just walk away from their lounge chairs without taking their towels with them. Then you didn't know if the chair was still 'taken' or not. However, the resort did have a gentleman who would monitor these things, and would gladly remove towels for you if he felt they were abandoned. There is shopping within walking distance, although prices are up, and bargains are hard to find anywhere. There were also beach vendors around ... not too many, and not aggressive. I also felt there was a little too much selling going on inside the hotel - either for excursions, for the spa, or for the Preferred Service (where you get to pay extra for exclusive areas on the beach, pool, etc.). I guess I had a different idea of what the 'Dreams' brand was, and overall came away disappointed.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: beautiful Resort with all Amentities

Very clean, spacious rooms . Al acartes and buffet served a wide variety of good food. Coffee bar open 24 hours serving any kind of coffee imaginable hot or cold along with sandwiches ,baked goods ,fruit and,frosty treats. Enjoyed the live music daily especially the live band at the beach. Pools were clean and bar service great, buffet service was a little slow if waiting on chef to cook especially in the mornings.

Dreams Karibana Cartagena Golf and Spa Resort: Great time in Cartagena.

The hotel was amazing. The staff was also very good. We loved our room, as we could see the sun rise and set from our balcony. The food was awesome and we would return to this hotel in the future. I highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a great vacation.

Dreams Estrella Del Mar Mazatlan : Amazing Resort!

We just spent a week and loved everything about the resort! The food was amazing and the staff were also amazing. Jesus, Raul, and Hector just to name a few. Highly recommend and we will return! Our swim out room was beautiful.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Dreams Onyx honest review

Dreams Onyx was everything we expected and more. The hotel suite was spacious, clean and modern. The grounds were well maintained and quite beautiful. the pools were large and not crowded. the Lazy River, water slides and pool was very nice and usually a bit in the shade in the afternoon. There was never an issue finding lounge chairs. The beach was very sandy and swimmable. There was sea grass but it was regularly removed so not usually an issue. The food at the restaurants and buffet was  [... read more]very good but not exceptional. There was a wide array of food selection at the buffet. The Coco Cafe had the best coffee. The entertainment was generally quite good. The bars had the normal drinks and we did not have the preferred package so don't know if they had a better selection of top shelf alcohol. Overall the staff were welcoming and wanting to please and we had no issues whatso ever. I would recommend this resort for families or adults.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Highly Recommend

Great resort, clean, well maintained, amazing friendly staff, good restaurants, zero complaints. No reservations at restaurant is great. Taco truck is awesome. Easy to get a pool chair. No towel cards is the way to go.

Hyatt Vivid Cancun: Five blissful nights in heaven

Honestly, I had an amazing stay at Dreams Vista Cancun. While there was a huge snowstorm sweeping through Southern Ontario, I was on the beach in Mexico, sipping pina coladas, and for this alone, I have to give this resort a 5/5 rating. Food - I'd say it's on the above average side. Your food experience heavily depends on how much initiative you're willing to take on this trip. If you can be bothered to take 1 minute in the morning to reserve one of the specialty restaurants on their app, th [... read more]en you'll have a great time. If you rely on walking up to the restaurants during peak dining times, then you're going to end up eating at the buffet or having room service. As for the food quality, the specialty restaurants are a small step above what you'd typically get at a nice sit-down Toronto restaurant. My sister is a foodie, and she was happy with what she ate. The buffet is a different story. Their buffet does offer a variety of continental and Mexican food, but it's not as tasty since it's not fresh. The meat gets tough, bacon gets hard, and there's not much you can do about it. The saving grace for the buffet is their made-to-order stations that whip up burgers, eggs, and smoothies. That's always a good choice if you're stuck at the buffet. Drinks - I don't drink, but my sister does. There were several times when she noted how strong her drinks were. Service - Amazing. Everyone we met was super kind and non-solicitous of tips. I had an issue booking the restaurant through the app, and an employee was not only able to book our reservations for the night, but also fix the issue. 10/10. No notes. Beach/pool - Beach is tiny, but it's still a beach! It is well maintained. Yeah, there is seaweed, but a team clears it every day. The sand quality is good, but not as great as Cuban beaches. The main pool is meticulously maintained. On the last day when I was checking out, I saw 2 guys in googles scouring the entire length of the pool. I hope they are paid well, because they did an amazing job. I don't think I've ever swam in such a clean pool in my life. There was also a jacuzzi, it was nice when the weather was in the low 20's, but it's not super warm. Rooms - Extremely clean. For a climate that is muggy and humid, I didn't detect a hint of mould in the washroom or on the linens. The decor is modern except the room phone. The balcony view is to die for, but doesn't face the sunset, but if you're an early bird, you can catch the sunset. The noise level is very good. There's no obnoxious music playing on the premise or surrounding resorts at night, A/C is whisper-quiet. We were woken up by other guests in the middle of the night, but that only happened once during our stay. Word of warning - after check in, you will be asked if you want to participate in a 90-minute sales presentation to check out Hyatt's other products. You'll be asked to purchase multi-decade travel packages costing around 20-40k or ~$300-500/ month. They lure you in with a coupons AND a voucher for 2 nights 3 days at the resort, which you'd assume is free, but it's NOT. It's merely a voucher for a DISCOUNT on a 2n3d stay. You actually have to pay 300 USD for the stay. The sales presentation is NOT 90-minutes, it's 3 hours out of your vacation. Initially, they'll pair you with a point of contact. They're very cordial and ask about your vacation habits, then you'll meet their manager, who is equally nice, but if you decline their offer, they'll send in a sales agent who is extremely aggressive. Just decline 3 times. Do not engage with the questions. Finally, they'll hit you with a final deal, which is another vacation similar to the one you've already paid for, then they finally let you leave. For most people, this experience will NOT be worth it and extremely unpleasant. I strongly recommend you decline participating in this sales presentation. Overall, I had an amazing and relaxing stay, barring the unpleasant sales experience, which you can easily decline. I wasn't part of the preferred club, and I still had an amazing time. As I'm writing this review with a driveway full of snow and a yellow warning for freezing temperatures, I'm getting nostalgic for Mexico!!

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Disappointed ☹️

This was our second time to this resort. We returned because our first trip here in 2022 was amazing. However things have gone terribly downhill. First our bed was so uncomfortable, and our pillows were horrendous! We ended putting our pillow cases on the decorative pillows and using them. The food was also not good! Which blows my mind as dreams hotels are usually stellar, but I this is the first stay at one since Hyatt took over. We had the steak at the Italian restaurant and it was like a jel [... read more]ly mush, like zero texture, it was so bad we just walked out of the restaurant and went up town to eat. The swimming area was also disappointing, the sand has washed out of the manmade area and it is now shallow and sharp rock bottomed. I love spending time in the water - not here.

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort

The hotel was clean and well organized. The pools were lovely and you can find a quiet or loud one depending on your taste. Our family enjoyed the food in all of the restaurants. It was relaxing not having to book à la cartes. We stayed in swim up rooms on the back side of the preferred section which was really nice because in the afternoon it is shady and peaceful. The beach , of course, was the only negative.

Dreams Curacao Resort Spa and Casino: Re-named from Dreams to “ NIGHTMARES”

In over 40 years of business and leisure travel by far the worst resort and airline package ever. Old tired Hyatt miserable check in staff got the wrong room changed two days later to another room with mould and a singing toilet! On. any given night 5 of the “ supposed” 7 restaurants were closed the buffet is closed in Sundays. Horrible food and low quality no variety no food or drinks anywhere after midnight pools small and limited lounges, beach was a sandbox. The only good thing was the weath [... read more]er! There is no way the resort should be recommended to anyone and Air Canada should be ashamed to offer it as an AC package. By the way AC supplied planes on a 5 hour flight with no TV screens no IPhone chargers and seating space for those under 10! Absolutely disgusting!

Hyatt Vivid Cancun: excellent!

Hotel was wonderful.....except!!! not enough lounging outdoor chairs, there are plenty of loungers by the pool on the beach but I'm 64 years old and it was getting comical how I was getting on and off the lounge chairs!

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort

Beautiful resort with wonderful staff other than the reservation desk staff which need to work on their skills with dealing with the public and solving issues. Our week started off on the wrong foot with check in however we enjoyed our wonderful bartender, Panda. The food at the restaurants was amazing and the housekeeping/ grounds keepers were always busy keeping the resort immaculate. I would definitely return to this resort.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Wasn't as good as looked

People were very nice...food very mediocre....no bath tub service was very slow pool was freezing Japanese restaurant was very good the kids also really enjoyed the entertainment and dancing at night they went to kids club alot and enjoyed that

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Nice resort Great if you have kids

It was a bit cold when we arrived, so we didn’t get the chance to use the pool, although some guests were still swimming. The hotel itself is nice and fairly basic, but the rooms are comfortable and well kept. We had a balcony with an ocean view, which made the stay very relaxing. The food was good overall. There isn’t a dedicated entertainment area, so any entertainment takes place on the stairs near the main bar. The spa was enjoyable, though some areas of the resort could use updating. We strongly recommend that you don’t book with Air Transat even the staff at the resort said they are not a great company, all of their complaints are from guests travelling with Air Transat.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Great hotel

Can't fault this resort in any way. It is not too big or too small. Pools are clean and well maintained. Entertainment staff do a great job and the entertainment schedule is welle organized. Ala carte restaurants are really good, and are a nice alternative to the buffet.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Good resort, loved the food

We enjoyed our stay at this resort. We went for 5 night with our 6 month old and overall were happy with the hospitality. The food was good and we have halal food which they took care of for all our meals. I have great things to say about their food concierge- Santo who made sure all our request regarding food were promptly attended. The housekeeping and dining staff is good but I dint really find the Front staff at reception very welcoming. The room they initially gave us had AC not working  [... read more]and broken sink and they took a long time changing our room. We were upgraded to a better room but it took them 3-4 hours to do this. Otherwise we liked our stay. Satisfied with the cleanliness level and safety standards. And again loved the food.

Dreams Curacao Resort Spa and Casino: Il Mare at Dreams Curacao

We had a wonderful stay at Il Mare. There were very many positives about this small resort and I will also share a couple of things that we feel needs improvement in order to attract folks, like us, who truly expect a 5 star resort when it is advertised as such. First of all, the transfer to the hotel from the airport was very disorganized. Our bus was held up almost a half hour while waiting for people to get on. It turned out those two people were actually us, who checked in with both Air [... read more] Canada and the bus yet somehow no-one thought to get on the bus before the long delay to ensure we were on- which we certainly were. The bus then dropped us at "Dreams" next door and told us to walk to Il Mare. We are pretty fit people, so no issue for us, but another couple on the bus were not in the same position as us. Upon departure, we were assured by our butler(s) multiple times that we would be picked up at Il Mare and we watched the bus go to Dreams and then leave the grounds. $35. US later, to be paid by us, we got a taxi. Super disappointing. Now for the resort itself- the "pods" are amazing! It was a very cool experience being so close to the ocean and steps to our own beach. Housekeeping was decent and, when necessary, when we informed them they had missed us, they promptly came. Food was decent. Not "amazing" but decent. Sometimes you ordered eggs for breakfast and sometimes they brought you a ham sandwich. We just rolled with it. Their hospitality sector is severely lacking. Although everyone was kind and friendly, I don't think they have had any training on how to actually serve the public. That is a definite area for improvement. The beach area, although small, offered great snorkelling and you could swim once you got past the rocky entrance. The view and sunsets were spectacular- even from our room. We only visited Dreams to use the gym which offered very little equipment, dated, and mostly broken and unusable. We rolled with that too. Across the street was the 3rd resort that we had access to. Zoetry. Poolside lunch was the best "hot" (temperature) food we experienced. That resort is very pretty and tropical. And with that comes bugs, something we did not have at Il Mare. Our pool area was lovely and relatively quiet. There were no "rush to save chairs" issues. The grounds are well kept and tidy. There is only bar on this resort and service, like everywhere else was friendly, fun and painfully slow. The bar was well stocked with good quality liquors and beer and even the wines were pretty good. We did not really benefit from the "butler" service. We found them also to be friendly and very unreliable. It was easier to just pretty much do our own thing. We never made a dinner reservation and were welcome in to each restaurant at any resort with no issue. Overall, for the money we paid (we booked summer of 2025 for January 2026) we felt we got great value and got to see Curacao. We actually would love to go back to the resort but I really hope they are able to improve in some much needed areas before that.
