Excellent Hotel

Just returned from our stay and it was everything we wanted. Upon arrival the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. We never had to wait in line ups, the room was kept spotless, the food was tasty and nice variety. The beach was excellent for long walks and the pool area was fun but quiet compared to some places we have been. Would not hesitate to return to this hotel for a relaxing holiday.

Punta Cana Princess

We really liked the resort. It is a smaller facility with beautiful grounds and beach area. The food was very good including the order from menu restaurants. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Incredible beach walking, miles and miles and miles, we never found the ends. Definitely adults only, average age was in their 60's. The evening entertainment was almost non existent however and the staff outside the restaurants virtually spoke no English. Very few English TV channels.

Amazing adult resort

We loved the grounds, the fact that it was not too big and adults only. The entertainment team was incredibly good, friendly and we felt like we were part of a big family. The only thing I would suggest would be to have a better variety of food as we felt it was always the same menu. It was a goid thing that we were only one week cause we were fed up eating the same things.

Amazing People, Great Resort!

The Punta Cana Princess is a great place to do what we believe is necessary when it is midwinter in Canada; find some Sun, Sand Sea and Rum! And we found them all at Princess. Anyone who went thirsty or hungry chose to, as there was plenty of great food and drink everywhere and a friendly staff to cater to us wherever we were. Filex was always there to help people find lounge chairs on the beach or replace a wet towel. The lobby bar tender even created a special drink just for us! The locat [... read more]ion is without question very important, however there are many locations to choose from in the Caribbean, it is the people working at the resort, the ones who take care of you, they are so important to making a vacation great. Punta Cana Princess - Feb 9 - 23, 2018

This was our eighth trip to the Punta Cana Princess (PCP) and, as usual, found it like coming home. There is not much turn over in staff, so it's like being with family when you are there. Felix does an amazing job on the beach and at the Mare Nordstom (the beach side restaurant). Luisa and Kenia are top notch waitresses/bar tenders and deliver with a personable attitude. The furniture in the lobby really needs to be addressed. I can see that they have tried to take care of the limited seating options there by bringing in additional tables and chairs; however, sitting on a plastic fold up chair during cocktail hour or for the shows is extremely uncomfortable, and the big sagging outdated wicker furniture really has to go. One thing I did discover this year that disturbs me is the fact that Housekeeping Supervisors have the freedom to enter your room and look through your belongings (i.e. the number of toothbrushes, the type of clothing and shoes, etc.) to determine how many people are actually staying in a particular room. I find this invasive and after eight years, pretty much uncalled for. I feel that should the housekeeper assigned to a room notice something amiss, THEN it should be brought to the attention of their supervisor. Now with that being said, I don't know if a majority of all inclusive resorts have this policy, but this is the first time we have encountered it and those I have asked have never come across it in their travels. All-in-all it is a wonderful adults only resort geared toward couples and not hookups. If you're looking for a relaxing get away with your significant other, then I would recommend the PCP. I plan on returning in February 2019.

Amazing resort

The resort was clean and the staff were amazing. They supplied fresh water daily and if you ran out all you had to do was ask, at no charge. The ala carte’s were all very good. It was so nice to have one every night. Would definitely recommend it to everyone and would also have a return trip there.

Excellent resort

The resort is excellent, it's clean, comfortable, the staff is great, any issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently. I have nothing but good things to say about the resort. Returning next year for the 12th time. As for Sunwing they need better communication with their rep at the hotel, our plane was delay on departure but the rep was not even aware till we told him. The company should look into their operation.

Fun in the sun

The hotel grounds were well kept.the food great with lots of variety especially the fresh fruit. Our room was spacious and clean. Our bus on returning to the airport was late, about 20 minutes. The lineups long and slow causing anxiety and stress and nearly missing our flight home. The calming affect of our wonderful vacation was lessened

Awesome resort

This is awesome resort! The people are super friendly, we loved the size of the resort and the location. Food was good with a good selection at the buffets and a la carte’s. We also appreciated the chance to check out the restaurants on the other Princess resorts. Beach was clean, water was a little murky but that probably had more to do with the windy weather. Beautiful resort

This was one of the best resorts that we have been to. The staff was friendly, food was excellent and the beach amazing! Everything is within walking distance. The grounds are well groomed with nice carvings.

Excellent resort

We have just spent 2 weeks in PC Princess. We have arrived just after the hurricane and were anxious what we are going to find. But everything was excellent. Palm leaves umbrellas were destroyed by the hurricane but they were quickly reconstructed on the beach. This is a smaller resort and it was not overcrowded. The food and the personnel were first-rate. The rooms were very clean. There are few points which could be improved as: the room was often cleaned late after 4 pm, there should be m [... read more]ore garbage bins and ashtrays on the beach, the à la carte restaurants were often closed.

Great small, adults only resort!

Resort is small and easily to get around. Grounds are perfectly manicured and well cared for. Staff are friendly and eager to assist. For the most part the guests don't get out of hand other than later in the day at the pool bar. That happens at any resort. Food is good with a varied assortment at the buffet. The a la cartes are very good and don't require a reservation which is nice. We have been there 5 times and enjoy this normally quiet intimate adults only resort.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed

We booked an oceanview deluxe suite at this resort having been to Dominican back in February. We were shown to our room and instead of oceanview received a pool view with trees front and center. After complaining to reception we were given another room which was closer to the ocean but exactly the same view as before. When I complained again, I was told the only oceanview are the honeymoon suites, which were not available to me as they were all booked. We were told to speak to our sunwing Rep, who made inquiries and also concluded that no oceanview rooms were available, he recommended we speak to our travel agent who should help make things right. I paid for an oceanview room, I could have paid less and got the same view I'm not happy. After that, we had no choice but to stay in this room. The maid service was good for two days, after which the service went dramatically bad, even by tipping every day. Bed was just casually made no extra welcome was offered. The fridge in the room was only serviced after asking for water and beer, no snacks made available. The ala carte restaurant were a hit and miss, only four on the resort and not all of them open at the same time. Buffet was mediocre at best. Both myself and my girlfriend became sick as did a lot of fellow guests that we spoke with. Water in the room was not suitable for brushing your teeth, Overall this resort claims to be 5 star, I would compare it to a Cuba style 3.5 star. Very disappointed for the money that I spent.

Good resort

my resort was very good and very clean and beautiful. The stafff are very friendely. And the temperature was ok 2 days of rains and the rest sunny. And the restarant is very good. It was fifth time at this resort . Very good

Very nice resort

The hotel was great, surprised at lack of direction upon arrival. The room was great. The cleaning and serving staff was the best asset to this place, they were always nice and friendly. The second day, we went to meet "Johnson " in the lobby, but he was away.... so Royal Holidays was there to Con people, we lost 2 1/2 hours listening to this sales pitch, even though multiple times asking for "The bottom line ". They asked for $9,000.00 plus for a 30 year vacation package !!! Then we had to walk back to the resort. You need to keep those asses away from the Hotel. The TEX-MEX restaurant had the absolute WORST meal I have ever not tasted. First we got attitude from the waiter because we didn't order wine. On the menu " Fillet steak" was listed,... was so looking forward to a steak and baked potato with salad. The dinner arrived, only to find the steak wasn't any steak I've ever seen, couldn't even cut it with a knife, tried opening the baked potato, it was black and probably cooked days ago( un-eatable) . the salad was completely flooded with dressing and was totally bad. We had to go next door to the Asian rest. to actually get something to eat. Overall the place was great. My Daughter came a couple days after us, she had a HORRIBLE TIME, BUGS and BITES in all 4 rooms they moved her to. We had to help move her in the middle of the night. MOLD on the mattress, either the safes wouldn't work in her rooms or the balcony doors wouldn't lock, she got ripped off, and should get some sort of compensation. Finally, We'll never fly Sunwing again. That was the single most terrible experience We've ever had. Cramped seats with barely any seat cushioning.30 minutes into a 4 hour flight our asses were freaking out, ridiculous that cash can't buy you anything. I asked for water, never got it, probably because it's free . Plane was delayed both on departures to and from. I'll definitely go with AIR Canada for better service and seats.

Great Resort

I liked that the resort is on the smaller size....not a far walk to get to room,beach,restaurants or lobby. Beautiful beachfront,lots of sun shelters and loungers available but you do have to get up early if you want one. Beach is great for long walks and Princess staff can be seen clearing their beachfronts of washed up seaweed. Buffet restaurant offers a great selection of food...4 al a carts, my favorite was mare nostrum. All staff was friendly and helpful, felt very welcomed.

Great Resort, would go back again!

The resort was very clean and maintained very well. Impressed with the public areas ie; washrooms, lobby, beach area. The rooms were clean and staff were in each day to retrieve dirty towels and make beds etc...Food was great both buffet and A La Cartes. Only downside would be the availability of loungers on the beach and the fact that you have to be up very early in the morning to get a spot. Amazing food and great hospitality!

The resort had an intimate feel to it because of its smaller size. Nonetheless, it did not lack anything because of all the amenities offered at the neighboring Princess sister resorts which were part of the package (food, facilities, Entertainment). The buffet offered a lot of variety and had a different theme every night. The staff was very friendly, hospitable and very attentive to our needs. We often walked or sometimes took a small shuttle to the other Princess resort in the evenings to cat [... read more]ch a show because our resort was not well equipped for the bigger shows. The beach was beautiful and only a small distance from the rooms (the beauty of smaller resorts). Bring a pair of earplugs if you are a light sleeper because of the proximity of the Entertainment building at the Vik Resort next door (mostly to building #5 at the Princess). After the 2cnd night, I slept like a baby. My husband and I did not care for the merchants on the beach in the small stores trying to entrap you into buying something. Buyer beware! Never buy the first day. Do your price shopping first and then go back and bargain your best offer! It especially hurts when you are paying in Canadian dollars!!! Overall lovely resort!

Fabulous Resort

Resort, staff, food, beach all amazing! Would certainly recommend this adult only resort to anyone who is looking for a small, quiet and friendly resort to relax. There is little to no nightlife at this resort, but able to take trams to sister properties.

Amazing resort

We really enjoyed that resort the beach is beautiful . The food very good, lost of good fish and the restorants are very good.If you want lost of intertaning its not a good resort. They have good shows for the evenings but for us it was perfect because we went to that resort to rest and thats what we got.
