Beautiful resort

The grounds and beach at this hotel were gorgeous. Despite the rooms being dated, the views and cleanliness made up for what the rooms lacked (who spends much time in their room anyway?). The food was excellent, especially the Seaside Grill, Himitsu and the pizza at the beach. The buffet had more than enough variety and everything was excellent, both the food and the waitstaff. Only downsides: not enough bartenders (sometimes a long wait for a drink - at any bar), sales people on the beach a [... read more]nd on the grounds, and somewhat quiet night life. There could have been a lot of fun had at the music lounge but no one really seemed to make use of it.

Beautiful resort

Beautiful resort with a stunning pool. It was too windy to use the beach much but it looked nice. Service was good and there were lots of activities during the day for both adults and children. Food was great although the a la carts didn't offer much vegetarian options. The entertainment shows were fun although they start a little late for the kids (9:30). Would go back again.

Beautiful Resort

Well maintained property, beautiful grounds with lush landscapes and vibrant flowers. The staff were very friendly and respectful. They were always “happy, happy “ The rooms were fresh and so clean. The bathrooms throughout the resort were always well stocked and clean,yes, even the beach bathrooms ! The evening entertainment for the most part was good, some parts were repetitious, but overal, was good. Highlights being the beach party, fire show , and Latin dancing show.

Great vacation!

Great resort. Friendly staff who always served you with a smile. Nice clean resort, lots to do all the time. Entertainment staff worked really hard to keep you having fun day and night. Great restaurants, especially the Japanese. Nice ambience with live violin player at the Italian. Disappointed they didn't have international drinks at the bar. Rooms need a facelift. Washroom needs major renovation eith more counter space.

Dreams resort and spa Punta Cana

5 star.. From start to finish was well beyond my expectations. Everything from the grounds, staff, food, Bevi's. Nothing bad to say. I will definitely be returning. Of the approximately 12 resorts in the Caribbean I have visited this is actually my favorite.

Nothing but GREATNESS

Just got back from 9 days at this resort and I have not one bad thing to say. This place was beyond awesome. The resort was the cleanest I have ever seen in a resort by far. The food and the drinks.... again so impressed it was amazing. The staff were amazing in all areas but the ones that really stuck out to me were the waitresses at the pool, they were the best by far and I mean by far. Again don’t think twice about this resort ... trust me book it and you will see exactly what I mean.

Amazing Resort

The grounds were very well maintained. The rooms were good. The food was by far the best we have ever had anywhere else. Liked the fact that no reservations were needed for the a la cartes. The staff were very friendly and attentive especially Sandy at the lobby bar, Scobby Doo, Cupid and Jose Paulino. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Day Dreaming

This was our 3rd trip to Dreams & the grounds were as amazing as always. It’s a very mature resort with huge palms and clean, well groomed shrubs and plant life. Staff was friendly but didn’t seem to be as engaged as previous visits. Menus were good, food was fresh. Highly recommend the Preferred Club option for its perks. Worth it. Dreaming ....again !

We were on a 10th anniversary trip with 20 others who attended the wedding at Dreams 10 years ago. The grounds are even better than before with plenty of palapas on the beach. Food is excellent still and they have added a pizza oven, washroom and bar at the far end of the beach :) The waves and wind are consistent, but if you have small children, the Bavaro Beach is better. The pool though for kids is awesome, as it winds it's way through the resort with plenty of bays.

CHFI Dreams Punta Cana Trip

The hotel grounds are beautiful. This is the first resort we have been to which has brief, interesting descriptions about the plants, flamingos and gold fish. A very nice touch. Jesus, reception staff, was very helpful and courteous. Once checked in and in our room I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call telling us our luggage was on the way. The lounge itself was great in that it served as a quite place to relax outside of the hotel room. Wait staff were friendly. Emilia Reyes, housekeeping, always had a big smile and a hello. We certainly have no complaints as far as the cleanliness of our room is concerned. The food was good. We had some exceptional meals; sea bass at lunch at Oceania, Japanese and Portifino, where the sommelier was helpful with our wine selection.

Awesome Resort!!

The grounds are immaculate and extremely well Kept; they are mowing and racking on a daily basis; the room was clean and well kept; they even turn you bed down at night (that was nice). Oh my Gosh the Staff; (awesome, extremely friendly staff) we were well catered too; (Loved the attention and service received) it was service with a bid hearty smite. Staff was very attentive. Great Resort but needs a little love!

The grounds were very well maintained at Dreams Punta Cana, including the public bathrooms. The employees work really hard to keep all food and toilet areas clean. The staff was very pleasant and worked hard too. From our perspective, the room we had was run down. The sliding door did not work properly, the shower head kept falling (did not stay upright) and the room could have been kept cleaner in the bathroom. The room looked tired and worn out. Needs updating and fixing. As well, we got [... read more] a room with an adjoining door. It felt like the other couple was in our room it was so loud.

5 star all the way

This was our first time in Punta Cana and I have to say that this resort was beyond amazing. The food in every restaurant was great. The staff here goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The Pool is the largest I have ever seen, it just keep going and going. The nightly shows where packed full all the time. Never a dull moment here. Each day it seemed like we found a new part of the resort. I would HIGHLY recommend Dreams Punta Cana to everyone (oh wait I have been)

Clean resort

Clean, friendly and helpful staff always smiling, awesome a la cartes! We had water damage in our room (ground floor and 2nd floor shower was draining into our room - shower/bathtub area, wall and hallway) the maintenance guy called the front desk to explain and put me on the phone with reception and they offered an upgraded suite for our last two days for the inconvenience which was very impressive. Fantastic Resort

My wife an I really enjoyed our time at this resort. The staff was friendly and very helpful for anything you needed. The rooms were in very good condition and kept very clean by the staff. The food was some of the best I have had at a resort and I really liked there no reservation policy it made it very easy to have dinner at the specialty restaurants. Overall it was one of our more enjoyable vacations.

VERY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT

The resort itself is pretty decent. The room are fairly clean. I just think that the room upgrade is very expensive. The staff though were very kind, friendly and thoughtful. We had to move to a different shoreline because the beach area of the resort is close to the reef which makes it very hard to enjoy the waves. It was very rocky and u can see fish swimming. Wonderful Resort

It was awesome! I will go again - I had 2 issues - one with the Air Transat rep Connie who insisted we had free LD calling to Nort hAmerica from our room. and the 2nd was I wish we were given proper directions to find our room the first night.

Amazing Resort

Good size resort - not too big, not too small. Nicer beach than the resorts up the beach. They have a VIP club you can pay to join to get better beach loungers, service etc. Big kids club, with a kids pool and play ground out front, sports area has tennis courts, basketball, trampoline with harness, rock climbing wall. There is a small Casino on site and a big buffet restaurant and 6 a la carte restaurants. Nightly entertainment was great and the Spa is amazing. one big pool runs between  [... read more]the room buildings and there are lots of floating mats to use. Staff was super friendly, we had a great time. it's about 30-40 minutes by bus from the airport.

Very impressed

The resort is beautiful, lots to do food and service is great!!! We will definitely go back. Two small things wish they played more island music around the pool instead of music we can hear at home. The people on the beach with animals to have your pic taken with - wish they would be upfront with price and do only what u ask. We just wanted pic of me with monkey they put all these animals on my husband and then monkey on me took pics with my husbands phone then they wanted 80 dollars 20 doll [... read more]ars for each animal. Everything else was amazing!!!

A week in the sun with CHFI

10 out of 10! We really had a glorious time at the Dreams Punta Cana resort and to top it off, we got to hang out with Darren & Mo from CHFI's radio station along with Ian, Alex and Jen because we were amongst 25 contestants who won a trip. The hotel staff was unbelievable as they worked long hours to keep all the guests satisfied. One of their favourite lines was 'happy happy'....and this came after making sure that was how we were feeling. The other phrase that could be heard was 'excellent [... read more]e' as a staff member would ask 'how are things' and before you had a chance to respond, they would ask, 'excellente'? And sure enough, everything was beyond excellent. A BIG THANKS to the Entertainment crew - Very Happy, Happy Happy, Sandy, Benjamin Franklin, Scoobie Doo and every single staff member on the premises. Each of them went out of their way to accommodate to us, whether in the spa, the restaurant, at the pool or in the lobby. Their positive energy shined as bright as their smiles and we would recommend this report to our family and friends with no hesitation.
