Amazing trip

this was such a beautiful resort. the view of the ocean is breath taking! the workers are soo friendly and helpful. I personally loved the food as well. i highly recommend this resort to people 18 and older! they have great parties for adults. it was a great resort for spring break!

Beautiful Resort

Resort is beautiful, clean, and friendly. Entertainment was good. Food was good, rooms were nice! Had great time at the foam parties. This is a party resort, if your looking for quiet time you need to be far from the lobby. I had a blast, Thank you!

Fabulous resort

This resort had everything you could ask for. Amazing grounds well kept great pools and many bars. The food in all locations were all excellent and very tasteful. The resort was kept was very clean including all restrooms. The rooms were very large with great service from the workers. Entertainment was also very good especially the pool parties. Phenomenal

Absolutely amazing!!!!!! Been to the riu twice now and would go again in a heart beat! Beautiful, Clean, food was awesome, amazing riu foam parties every day!!! If I could post all my pictures I would..... So excited to plan another stay next year!

Great Fun Place

I would definitely return to and recommend this resort. If you like a quiet time or a really fun time, this is the place to go!! The resort is kept spotless and the food was fine (not spectacular but good). There are 4 parties held in a separate area that look to be a ton of fun with a foam pool and DJ etc ..... Not so relaxing...

This was my first time to Cabo (which is beautiful) but one of many all inclusive trips. The scenery from the resort was fatastic and the location was great. You could see the water, mountains and were a short distance from town. Also not too far from the airport. But aside from that I don’t have too much good to say. The service at this resort was awful. I have been to many resorts and have never received such poor service. At all meals, wait staff very rarely (if ever) offered a drink, m [... read more]any times having to ask for cutlery, napkins, etc. When staff did offer service it was slow or forgotten. The staff weren’t overly friendly and some even seemed annoyed when you asked for assistance. Most of their English wasn’t great either. Most of the a la carte restaurants and bars were closed most of the time. At the main pool, there was only one of four bars open typically, which often resulted in a line of 10+ people to get a drink. I’ve never seen bar service done this way at a resort. Not a single swim up bar was open when I was there either which was disappointing. The resort seemed very unstaffed. Along the beach, there are vendors hassling you to buy their things. I understand this is the Mexican lifestyle and is often seen on many islands, but the hotel allows them to come basically right up to the chairs. I couldn’t even sit there and read a book without somebody asking every few minutes if I wanted to buy cigars, bracelets, braids in my hair, etc. I paid for a superior room which was extremely basic — I would hate to see what a standard room looks like. There was a shower only, extremely thin sheets and my balcony was facing a wall. I also requested a upper floor as I was a solo traveller and was placed on the ground. The biggest concern with this resort was how rowdy and party focused it was. I totally understand many people go to resorts to party but you couldn’t get away from it at this resort. People were yelling and screaming everywhere. 4x a week they have “riu pool partys” that are beyond loud and annoying when they run until 11pm. If you want quiet, request to NOT be in building 8, as the party was literally right outside my window. The weather was great and the food was okay — nothing spectacular but I always found something to eat. I definitely would not go back to this resort to relax. If you like to party, it may be for you! I talked to many other travellers while there and many had similar comments so I wasn’t alone in my opinions.

Amazing resort

It’s was a great place for family, but I paid for a room with two queen bed but got two twin beds and the resort was full so had to sleep on a twins bed with 4 people another than that it was great and friendly place

5+ start worthy

My husband and I booked this trip for a much-needed getaway. The actual Resort lives up to the website, it is fantastic! Everything was perfect from booking this trip to the flight, the resort the transportation to and from. Everything was just perfect! This was our first trip Central experience and we will definitely be back . Thank you trip Central, we travel at ease with you

A Riutiful Holiday!!

Buffets better than a la carte. Beautiful setting. Shortage of bartenders and no drink service around entertainment or pool. Only one beer available. Rooms need upgrading..villa 7 quite musty and contents showed mildew. Staff fairly friendly. Great variety of entertainment and activities.

Good experience

Resort was much larger then expected, with many huge pools and great staff. Food was a bit lacklustre for a vegetarian trying to find wheat free options. Entertainment was great. We couldn’t swim in the ocean at the resort, but if you walk down the beach towards the town there are lots of places to swim. I’d also recommend taking a few trips into town, it’s about a 30 min walk down the beach. The town is super welcoming and has some great restaurants and shopping.

Solid 4.5 *is

We are a fam of 4. We stayed for 11 days. We were a bit unsure how ot will all be given the past reviews, but here is the summary (and we travel a lot!) Good: easy check in, hotel is clean, grounds are maintained daily, happy staff, the pools are great too- there is a quieter area if u wish to sit and relax...but if you want a bit more lounder and entairtaining area, head down towards the beach. There are 3 pools there- one for singles, amd 2 for eberuone else! We stayed in Building 3- central [... read more]. Good. If you are family- request building 3 or 4 or 5. If you are single, request 6, 7, 8 ,9. Single life- is awesome..they have pool parties almost daily at a separate pool/area. Seems lots of fun. Beach lovers: still worth going! I was turned iff when I read that you can't swim in the ocean as its too deep/strong undertoe...however, all that IS TRUE, BUT the view on the beach IS THR BEST VIEW EVER! bring your drinks/food on the beach and enjoy it. Sooo beautiful. Food: was great! I am a medium picky eater and I can say it was great at the main California buffet. We went there for breakfast and dinner- really zero complaints....from fish, pork, steaks, chicken to rice, pasta, veggies, potatoes to deserts and crapes! Breakfast was equally good! Lunch buffet (La torata) was Alright. Some days they had awesome selection and other days was just good. No one got sick ..and we were there for 11 days! Drinks were great. The bad: 1. I would just ask the hotel to try to book singles away from building 3 and 4 and 5, as it was a bit annoying to hear drunk yound adults coming to their room (next to mine) at 3am. 2) would be nice that they play music ALL THE TIME at the pools near beach and habe the 3rd pool bar opened All the time 3) kinda weird that the restaurant Mariachi band would say "we only play for tips"... have never experienced that before...usually they play and hope they would get a tip...but these guys would not play unless u gave them a tip first. 4) last annoying thing was the hotel does NOT give you condishioner nor body was (just shampoo). Ladies- you know-how hair gets without conditioner lol. You had to ask, and they would bring you ONE. And also what does not make it better than 4.5 is that the rooms are cleaned daily but not mirrors nor the comforters... oh and 5) you have got to cook hot dogs more on the beach grill! :) Overall, definitely would recommend you go And excursions- would be great as well....the glass boat was AWESOME...not so much for the glass boat part but for seeing the beauty around it, the sea lions, the caves...etc

Beautiful resort

excellent food beautiful pools great food The bartender at the lobby bar Desi was amazing at mixing drinks and making people laugh one problem is the amount of walking i wish they had the carts to take you around but lots of activities and great shows Thanks to maria at Trip Central for looking after all of our needs Going back in 100 sleeps

Riu Santa Fe Los Cabos

Grounds kept very clean Rooms very comfortable and clean Hotel site very good Beach too rough for swimming Entertainment was poor ( we are seniors) Restaurants: - Baha California - very good -Caruso Italian - very good - Steakhouse - food selection very poor; kitchen food serving area untidy and many of the kitchen staff not wearing gloves when picking up food. -Pools were very good

Just Amazing !!!

We have been to a lot of resorts but this one my wife felt completely safe to be by herself. The food and staff were great. Every where you looked they were cleaning, out door fans, floors etc.We would highly recommend this resort to friends and family. they had something for everyone children to adults. The sun wing staff were also super nice and helpful.

More than amazing

We loved the place it was fabulous this was are 3rd time there this time we brought a friend with us he loved it the whole resort staff where amazing and the sunwing reps where always there for us maybe next time we can bring a few couples with us we have sent a lot of our friends there and they where very satisfied

Decent resort

Although the resort is pleasant, clean and plenty of pools to cool off, is a bit boring in the afternoon when everyone is looking for some sort of entertainment. Beside amassing pool parties happening every second day in not much else to do. People over 30,s are mostly intimidated to attend though due to the fact that those parties are design for young people with contemporary music and amassing light shows. Very impressed with room update, although having a room bar doesn't mean much. Replenishing the liquids that matter is not always happen. It didn't happen to me. Overall is a decent resort but I will not consider it in the future.

Impressive Resort

Pools were exceptional, a very clean and well manicured resort. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, and worked very hard. Rooms and balconies were clean, well stocked each day and a very good size. Very fun atmosphere! I loved have internet available in my room! The only things that I would like to see improved upon are real juices replace the syrup and concentrates that are used, more premium drinks and beer, including Sambuca and Fireball to the list of spirits served.

Large, clean, family friendly resort, amazing location!

We had a wonderful time travelling with two small kids. The staff were very helpful and responsive, and the food was very good (stick with the tacos). The resort is big enough that you can be near the drunken party action if that is your thing, or avoid it and be in a relatively quiet room. The beach is not swimmable because of a strong undertow.

Funtastic Resort!

We are a 60 year couple that loved this amazing resort. There was so much to see and do there. The entertainment staff kept us laughing with the hilarious games, dancing to their fabulous tunes and excercising with the inspiring water arobics coaching! Even the nighttime shows were wonderful. Everyone is so talented and work so hard to keep the guests happy. Now I must mention the pool parties!! I felt like I was in Vegas. The hotel grounds are beautiful, and everything is so pristine and clean. Even the public washrooms were fresh and clean all the time. The only downfall is the beach. Although it is beautiful, it is too rough to swim in. Also, it is hard to even walk along the shoreline due to the slope and angry waves! Loved it here and would love to return again with a large group to party like we were young again!

A wonderful stay!

The Riu Santa Fe is the fourth Riu hotel we have stayed at. and it did not disappoint. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable, the pools incredible, the food first class and the service staff friendly and helpful. This was the first time we came with a young child and my only comments about this particular experience is that the noise level from music, loud speakers and loud drinking partygoers was non stop. We were lucky enough to be housed in a building a little off the beaten track but the [... read more]re were many times that our rest/sleep was interrupted by loud music ( pool parties)and voices of guests who had had considerable amounts of liquor to drink. While I appreciate the fact that we all come to an all-inclusive for different reasons, partying and hollering in the corridors at 4:30 a.m spoils the holiday for the rest of us.. Perhaps placing families with babies and young children in parts of the hotel as far from the high noise level areas as possible could keep everyone happy. I will definitely return to another Riu in Mexico, but I will check first to avoid the ones the are well known as 'party hotels'.
