Nice resort. but aggressive with joining on hotel club and seaweed on beach very smelly

Very nice resort. I understand pushing hotels clubs and times shares but pretending my brothers room was not ready in order for us to stay through a discussion on the hotel club was a big turn off. The not enough chairs around pool and beach was crazy unless you got up at 5:30 and saved chairs you were pretty much out of luck for the day. Now the worst is the seaweed. So much seaweed I know its not the hotels fault but using the tractor to clean some of it during the day caused the worst smell  [... read more]ever. The 10 foot pile beside the privilege area does not incline you to join the H10 hotel club

Great experience!

Excellent resort! Staff is very friendly. Down side: Rooms are a bit outdated, mattress are worn out. Beach was nice but a lot of algues. I still have a great time since the staff was excellent and the food was very good.

Lovely resort

The grounds were beautiful and well manicured.Staff was friendly always said hello.Our room was very comfortable and had a ocean view.The buffet food was always the same.No carving station that we are used too.Most 5 stars decarate the dining room different evernight.Pool chair's lacking

Amazing resort

Had a fantastic time. Clean and friendly resort. Love that they clean the beach every day too. The staff are friendly, food was fantastic and unexpected. Clean rooms, when we had a problem with no our toilet they came and fixed it right away. Love the cat hotel and all the wildlife. Highly recommended.

Beautiful resort

We enjoyed our week (Jan 24-31) at this beautiful resort. Staff was so friendly & really went out of their way to look after everyone. The resort had hand sanitizer everywhere & the staff wore their masks consistently. Chairs around the pool & tables in the restaurants were well spaced. The food was amazing. Loved all the ala carte restaurants & the buffet was outstanding. The 3 pools & kids area were very well maintained & beautiful. Lots of palapas on the beach & umbrellas around the pool. We were first put in the 4 block of rooms, but the smell was terrible, so we were moved the next morning to the 3 block & the room was great. Large room & balcony. Very nice large bathroom with great amenities. All in all we would highly recommend this resort. Lots of walking & stairs so for people with mobility issues it might not be ideal. Covid testing was done in our room & we had the results the next day. Very convenient. Don't hesitate to go to this resort.....it's well worth a visit!

Great experience

After reading the reviews we were sceptical, but after arriving every person was extremely friendly staff was great our service was great rooms clean properly cleaned every other day beach was nice well groomed ,food I love ,and was not disappointed the ala carts were excellent, The concierge and bartenders went over the top, had one of her best trips I’ve been to Mexico 4 times and this was one of the best experiences

Great Resort

We had a wonderful time at the Ocean CoralTurquesa. The Covid protocols made us feel safe throughout the resort. I have a problem with stairs and we were moved to a ground floor unit within one day. The restaurant’s were very good. We used room service one night and it was prompt and hot. The Blue team was amazing. We had so much fun at the Chill pool watching the games. Special shout-out to Ivan and Freya who always took the time to greet us and interact with the Canadians. All of the staff  [... read more]was very accommodating to us with whatever our needs. Ocean Coral and Turquesa Review

We were a party of 4 adults who stayed in the Adults section of the resort! The food was really good, the grounds were beautiful and well kept! The grounds keepers work very hard to keep it looking nice! The sand on the beach was raked and cleaned of grass and seaweed daily! Would like to mention how hard Jemmima works taking drink orders and delivering them none stop! This lady is incredible! also Wilbur at the pool bar makes wonderful drinks, and works none stop! Nice resort

Great resort layout everything is close for walking. Elevators available if need. Grounds well kept.junior suite adult section could use updating.Beach was great and beach service was also great the service and all staff are very attentive to anything you need or want .cant say anything about butler service didn't use. All the ala carte restaurant food was great, buffet could use more variety for lunch and dinner. Had no issues getting loungers at beach ,cant say about pools didn't use.could  [... read more]use more beer selection only dos x and dos x lite sol dos x dark . Great location, short walk to beach, nice pools - could have used more loungers, if you didn't reserve one by 6 am most were gone, not enough loungers on beach as well, only 2 per palapa, not ideal fo family of 5. Nice beach, great for walks, only a little seaweed. Food was good overall but at lunch beach grill lacked variety, and main buffet was noisy, daisy grill was small and hit or miss. Wonderful Resort !!

This resort was amazing from the moment we entered. As soon as you were checked in which was quick and efficient you walk out the front doors of the lobby and the ocean and pool were directly in front of you within feet. Closest resort we have ever been to the actual ocean. Our room was 14305. It was a short walk from the lobby and completely covered so if there was any rain it was no worry to get to different amenities on the resort. The room was a garden view room but just over the pa [... read more]lm trees you could actually see the ocean. The room was so spacious and clean. Everything at this resort was a very short walk. The set up was very convenient and efficient for getting around to the different amenities. The bowling was amazing. We bowled every day and it was big ball bowling so we had never done this before. We enjoyed daily ice cream from the ice cream parlor and specialty drinks from Mikes Café. The food was amazing at all the a la cartes and the buffet. We loved that no reservations were required for a la cartes beside the Sensai. The beach was very well cared for with not a lot of seaweed. It was however very windy the entire week we were there so it was hard to stay on the beach because it was so cold and the sand was pelting off you. Our only complaint was not enough chairs on the beach and especially at the pools. We did not get a chair at the pool till our final day as a lot of the guests reserve chairs using there towels by 7am. We enjoyed the entertainment. There was a lion king, grease, and a fire and light show which were amazing. The other nights we were not overly impressed with the entertainment. We also enjoyed a day at the spa. The actual spa amenities that you get to use while being there were amazing. We just were not overly impressed with the services for the price we paid. Upon leaving we checked with Air Transat the day before departing as we were directed to do so because of the time change that occurred while we stayed. We were informed to be checked out at 7:20 and the airport transfer would be at 8:20 am. We were all checked on the morning of leaving and went to breakfast. When we came back our shuttle to the airport had left without us. We had no Air Transat Rep to talk to because they were not in till 9am. We therefore had to get a cab to the airport and pay out of pocket. We were so stressed. Got to the airport and still no one to talk to about what happened. It was a $40 US fee to get us to the airport and we would have been ready if they told us the proper times. This wasn't the resorts fault but I thought it should be brought up and I wouldn't want someone else to have it happen to them. Amazing resort !!

OUTSTANDING resort!!!!

Had the most AMAZING time! Such a beautiful resort! Clean, well maintained, and most importantly, have the friendliest people working there! A fantastic variety of restaurants to choose from, and even though we didn’t take the prestige package, we found that we didn’t ever have to wait more than 20 minutes to get a table. We would DEFINITELY choose to go back, and would of course recommend this resort to others!

Faded Glory

You can tell this was once a lovely resort. It needs repairs and wasn't up to the standards of cleanliness I have come to expect. The food was very much like the service, hit or miss. A great dish, a great employee, and then three okay and one awful. Those were the ratios. I won't be returning, but I feel it has potential with effective management.

Great Vacation

Everything was just perfect. The grounds and landscaping were beautiful. Trees and green everywhere. Beach nice and clean and water warm. It was really a tropical paradise. We enjoyed it very much. Lots to eat. We mostly went to the buffet and it was delicious. The rooms were very nice and the people very pleasant to talk to. We didn't see too much of the entertainment, we usually went to bed early. But there was a great group in the afternoon. It was nice to see the kids on stage too. The youth workers with them were very good. Kids loved them. And that guy in the afternoon leading the exercise and dancing at the pool was terrific and lots of fun, Erick I think his name was. The waiters were excellent. I promised I would remember their names, but they were all good.

Great Resort

Food was great. Pools were awesome. Great beaches for walking. The spa package was amazing but the process needed to be explained better(i.e. what order to do things in). Could have used more staff at the pool bar.You don't need a reservation at the a la carte restaraunts but you don't always get in due to the Privileged guests getting priority. I would recommend reserving.

Amazing resort

We stayed at the Ocean Coral and Turquesa Feb 25 to Mar 3. 2020 The resort is a really good size making it easy to get around Although it was hard to get into the ala cartes at time the food was all very delicious . There is a smoothie stand ice cream shop coffee cafe and burger stand besides all the restaurants which we enjoyed. Such a friendly lady as well Edwardo our lobby bar waiter was exceptional at remembering all our drinks and made us feel welcomed. The walk to Puerto Morales is about 50 minutes long from the resort but the sand is so soft and the breeze so cooling it didn’t seem that long at all especially when we stopped for a beer along the way. All in all I would have to say this was one of my favourite resorts

Great Family Friendly Resort With Exceptional Service

This is a great resort, especially for families. A good mix of adult and kid friendly amenities and services. The food was great and the service was absolutely exceptional. The staff that we encountered was incredible, namely, Roberto, Edna, Antonio, Alfaro and Hostess Grecia Zalaya from the Restaurant Ritratto D'Italia went out of their way to make us comfortable. And our bar girl Rosica was great. They were outstanding and definitely made a big difference in the experience for our family.  [... read more]The one problem we encountered was the difference between the Privilege package and the regular package, we were not informed about this ahead of time and it affected our ability to book the a la carte restaurants. The hotel staff were understanding of this after some discussion and did allow us to book at a reasonable time due to the fact we were with four small children. Other than that there’s not much to say other than the fact that although the hotel and grounds are exceptional, it’s the staff that really shine and make for an amazing experience when staying there. Five stars for the service.

Amazing Resort

I thought the resort was outstanding on all issues and aspects except the chairs around the swimming pool and ocean. They were old and outdated and too low to the ground for some people too. The restaurant, activities and service was fantastic.

Loved it!

We travelled with our almost 4-year old and our 6 month old baby. We had a wonderful vacation at Ocean Coral. Everything was great! My favourite parts are as follows: 1. Family oriented. The kids pool was an awesome place to hang out. My son loved the waterslides and playground. There's a snack bar and bar right beside, and we spent most of our time here. The beach is so close so we could go between the kids pool and the beach all day long. Indy and Irene were lovely and put on fun events for the kids in the evenings too. 2. The entertainment team were awesome. Shout out to Andrea who was so friendly and engaged with us and the kids throughout our stay. The shows were really fun with high quality performances. 3. OCT is attempting to reduce single use plastics. They use reusable cups at the bars and collect them afterward, no straws are offered. I have never seen this at a resort and was pleasantly surprised. The places is spotlessly clean too. The beach was lovely. The buffet was beyond our wildest dreams. The restaurants were all good. The activities were fun. The resort is small enough to be walkable but big enough to keep you entertained for a week, even if you don't leave. We loved it and would definitely go back.
