Average. Good for the price.

Lovely facility, reception area, dining area, grounds, pools and outdoor seating and lounging were great. Every staff member with the exception of one waiter were all super helpful and accommodating. A few down sides, beds were too hard, shower only trickled (should incorporate hand held as well), meals in main dining lacked taste and some meats tough. Being 'all inclusive' should really mean that and not charge for safety box (which is already in the room) and WiFi.

Nice and small... perfect for families!

We were family of 3 + mother in law. Check in was easy and they did their best to accommodate our request to have 2 rooms side by side. However, be careful, you have to pay for your safe for the week, works out to approx $25 for the week. This is last chance cash grab, as the safes are available in all rooms anyways and no money would have been required. If you've used them before (enter code), you will have no problem, so save the $25 and just use. This upset us as we through $25 out the door a [... read more]nd it would not have been required. They tell you there would be no access but there is, save the money and do not pay for safe access. Wifi is an extra charge as well, $10 u.s./day for 24 hour access. Anyways, we were happy with the rooms #125 & #126, side by side and we could visit on the patio outside. The patios faced the garden area, and we could see the pools and bar/show stage easily. Very nice location to be. Rooms are 1 King w/Double Sofa Futon (bring your own bedding), or 2 Double Beds and Chairs. The resort is king room, then double room, then king, double, etc. Perfect for families (no access through rooms though) Staff was great, everyone friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and check in regularly. Property is small and intimate. Everyone knows everyone by end of your trip. Only 2 restaurant, 1 is buffet (each night they change up the menu, eg. Oriental, Mexican, etc.) and 1 snack restaurant which turns into a la carte for evening meals. Every 2 days the menu changes, Mediterranean, Italian, etc. Very good food here. The buffet is small, not a lot of choice, but good. If you love eggs (omeletes) have them cook them longer, always runny if you don't ask. A La Carte's were excellent, really enjoyed. We ate at the buffet only 2 nights, the last night was the Oriental. Food tasted good, however I spent my last 2 days very sick in the room. I suspect it was the Sushi, not definate. My family did not eat sushi, only me and I was very ill, bed ridden for 2 days (took me 6 days to get over this mexican bug) There is a MEGA store across the street, dolphin park, and a few restaurants. San Jose is approx 30 min walk, or 5 min cab. Not a whole lot of souvenir shopping available unless you go into Cabo, however Friday nights at the Resort is Mexican Night. The local venders come in to resort and set up few tables. Pretty reasonable. Also few venders on beach. Airport as well (however most expensive option here) We would recommend for families or quite vacations as it is pretty low key and gets pretty boring by the end of the week unless you get out and do a few excursions. Mobility can be a concern too, if you have a wheel chair or disability as there are a few stairs throughout the resort, however we did see a few people and they were getting around with no problem.

Just great

Everything was fantastic. Grounds beach, rooms all very clean and well kept. The only issue was no use of the dangerous sea. Pools great. Staff were very very good. Food was plentiful and very nice. Had a great time.

Had a great time!!

I really enjoyed my week as this small resort. Always lots of chairs, space to sit and hang out. Resort employees were very friendly, helpful and service was relatively quick. For a small resort I thought the food was really good and they kept the variety going.

Beautiful Resort

the welcoming committee was great, asked for things when we booked & got them.food was good, staff very friendly.they had a doctor on site, very convenient. didn,t have to fight for chairs at the beach or pool.

Great Small Resort

Hotel was small and intimate. If your looking for great service and a relaxing time, then this resort is for you. A big shout out to Jesus the manager. He is awesome. Lily with activity group was fun and full of energy. Antonio the bartender at the adult pool is one of the funniest servers I have ever meet. He was a blast.

Great food and service.

People, food, rooms, grounds, were all very good. The beach is not the reason to go here. It's not nice at all, so if that's important to you, then Los Cabos area should not be on your list. We rented a car and drove around for great fun.

Great place to stay

Loved this resort. Very clean, friendly staff and great location. The only thing they could improve on is a larger variety of food choices and adding more privacy to the bathrooms in the rooms. The pools were well maintained and always warm.

Amazing Resort

The Resort was clean, everyone was very friendly, the food was great and the view was breathtaking. Being able to sit on porch sipping a hot coffee and watching the whales in the morning was unbelieveable.

Beautiful resort!!!!

Rooms are big ,clean. Didn't luck anything. Love the place ,will come back to LosCabos ,even that there is no swimming in the ocean,but there are nice public beaches,very clean,swimmable. Food was excellent !!!!! Recomend Mexican coffee and try some jicama!!!!!

Highly recommend

Great place to get both a relaxing vacation due to its smaller size and have some fun due to the staff and activities too. Clean, friendly and all staff departments are excellent. Special shout out to Antonio; rooftop pool bartender, Lily; entertainment staff and the GM, Jesus.

Great resort.

Food is excellent. Nice resort layout and never felt crowded. Cant swim in the ocean though as it is too rough. Needs another restaurant for variety on longer stays. Lots to do within walking distance.

Great Resort

The Resort was great. The staff was very friendly and always wanting to make you laugh and enjoy yourself. The pools were beautiful with plenty of pool chairs to sit in the sun or shade. Great entertainment during the day, and the shows in the evening were always different and entertaining.

Nice clean place to stay

we had a great week. I gave it a 3 star because of the food - lack of variety, only one nice restaurant (which was difficult to get in to and complicated with reservation requirements etc). Rooms were clean but bathrooms pretty old and tired. Staff was fantastic - staff made up for other shortfalls.

Beautiful Resort

Exceeded expectations! Beautiful grounds, perfect location, whale watching from our balcony. Food was delicious, plenty of variety of drinks. Meticulous grounds keeping. Lots of beach chairs at pool and on beach, unlimited towel service. Entertainment staff was exceptional- S/O to Hugo, Pollux and Lily. Expect staff to know your name the minute you arrive and remember it throughout your stay. Would recommend this hotel.

Cute and Cozy

We liked the resort it was cute and cozy, the staff were nice, the rooms were good, the beer they serve isn't that good, they don't offer corona, food was ok, cant swim in the ocean. We liked the pub across the street as it has the coldest beer in town and very cheap. The disco was always empty and most people at the resort were over 50 years old, so it is quiet in the evenings. Great week away :) Wish I was back

The grounds were beautiful and enjoyable, rooms were tidy and cleaned everyday, food was good for the most part...(breakfast wasn't a favourite). Activity crew were friendly but not pushy, resort was close to san jose and not a bad drive to cabos san lucas. We went in a group of 8 and we all had a blast. I wasn't ready to leave.

Ok resort, surround by gorgeous towns

Ground were very well kept. The food at the buffet wasn't the greatest and I'm far from a picky eater. The snack restaurant by the main pool had excellent food. The bars all only had one bottle of good liquor. Example: one bottle of tanqueray gin, once that was gone gin was dispensed out of a fountain pop dispenser and was terrible. We booked a one bed room, and when we arrived we had two beds in the room, they did fix this issue but we had to push for it. it was my first time on the west coast of Mexico and overall it is a beautiful area and we all had a great time, it's all about your attitude and even though the resort had some downfalls, it's all what you make. I wouldn't go back to that resort but would for sure visit the Los cobos area again.

Great resort

Grounds and public areas were nice and were kept clean. the rooms were good except I did not like the idea of not having a closed door between the wash area and the toilet. Food was good except the out side buffet dining area always had to many birds that would land on your table peck at your food if you left for a minute. The activities people were great and did an excellent job. Wonderful Trip

We traveled the end of January 2015, It was a trip I took with my 19 year old son. The Resort was small but thats what we liked about it. Even though there is only one buffet and one a la carte, they variety of food was good. We did not get sick of eating the same thing everyday. Rooms were very clean, The on [... read more]ly draw back is I was there with my son and the shower/bathroom door is semi frosted glass so privacy was a little hard for us, it would be fine with a spouse though. The location is great, right across the street from the Mega store (similar to Walmart, everything you need there), and to catch the bus to go up to the markets up town was $1.00 for a 5 m-10 min bus ride. We felt very safe in town, and the "hassling" at the market was very minimal. (that was quite the opposite at Cabo San Lucas). I won a massage at the spa and felt like a queen, they certainly went out of their way to make my experience a memorable one. They had activities panned every day, stretching on the beach at 9am was one of my favourites as on a couple of occasions I saw the whale breaching in the ocean. The beach is more like small gravel than sand (but kept quite clean) and there is no swimming as the undertow is bad, but because the pools were so nice we did not miss that at all. I have been to Mexico a few times and I honestly have to say this was one of my favourite trips.
