El Cid La Ceiba Cozumel: Great Week

Pretty Hotel on the smaller size as advertised and there is no real beach. its a 10 MIN and $10 dollar US cab ride to downtown. Room was good and very clean and the bed is a queen and was comfortable with a nice sea view and small balcony. The bathroom is on the smaller side but nice flow of hot water in the shower. Room has a little kitchenette with sink, coffee maker and microwave. We were in the low rise part of the hotel and had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. The tower side has an elevator [... read more]. We did the all inclusive so meals were in the one restaurant. Had no complaints about the food, the drinks were great and the staff is very friendly and very helpful. It was early February and the pool was very cold. There is a hot tub and small gym tor use. My complaint is the entrance stairs into the ocean are ridiculous. Steep, slippery and one of the rails to hold onto is broken. Looks like it has been this way for a long time. Watching people go down the stairs looked treacherous especially because it was windy We managed to go in on the other side of the small beach by holding on hard to the wood railing. Nice snorkeling all around, plenty of fish to see. There are 3 to 4 large cruise ships very close by that come everyday starting at 7am to 6 pm. So if you don't like your sea view partially blocked then not the place for you. Also there were cruise passengers that came to the hotel for the day. The weather wasn't ideal so there weren't too many.

Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres All Suite Resort: Amazing RESORT

The beach was awesome , you could walk for miles on the sand. Staff at the facility , excellent always smiliing and pleasant. Food superb and plenty of it! Accomodations - roomy and lots of space - never felt crowdwed! Ranked it high

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Disappointed

Colonial - Disappointing The beach in front of the Colonial/Kantenah is beautiful as is the pool area. The rooms are dated, we had our room door left open by cleaning staff which was unacceptable; luckily our belongings were fine and the safe untouched. The buffet food was cold at times and the variety from day to day was lacking. They had two great a lacartes; the Japanese and the Steak House which we enjoyed. The beach bar was washing the plastic cups by spraying quickly putting them back into the rotation as the beach waiters quickly went around and picked up the empty cups from the guests. That doesn’t sit well especially at a time of viruses etc. Cleanliness was not always trustable. Overall it was a disappointing experience given it was a third visit based on more enjoyable shows and better food and overall service. The evening shows were few and far between; although they did have some kiddie shows at 8:00 a few Nights.

El Cid Resort Castilla: AWESOME

While traveling to the Resort a few passengers were drop off at there Hotel and 1st thought there in the middle of no where.But that changed.What an excellent location.Great walking to shops and restaurants full grocery store with wine shop across the road. You could not ask for anything more.I,m hoping for another Elite GREAT DEAL for Feb/27.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Great resort

Nyx hotel Cancun is smaller resort in the hotel district, very clean grounds, rooms are clean and modern, if you get a room on the lagoon side it can be noisy with traffic noise very busy road, the food is fantastic lots of variety and the drinks did not disappoint the staff are helpful and friendly there are a few flights of steps from the main lobby bar area to get down the main pool and beach

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Nice all round Experience

This was our second stay with Grand Decameron in Bucerias. We were a little surprised when the vibrant building colors from last year were more muted this year. Again, we booked into an adults-centric block of 5 or 6. That was good for our requirements, and we could wander over to the other Blocks and Pools for a more lively and upbeat ambience. The rooms in Block 6 seemed more refreshed than last year. Maid service was prompt and friendly. The bar lady at Block 6 was excellent, cheerful [... read more] and willing to play along with peoples' attempts at speaking Spanish. The ala carte restos were generally good. However JAP JAP resto had each of the courses served looking suspiciously like the previous course. We actually saw 2 tables leave after the second course and went to dine elsewhere. This year, being able to book the ala carte restos online was a welcome upgrade. However for our last two days onsite, our registration mysteriously disappeared from the reservation system, so we had to resort to the old standard standing in line for making your restaurant reservation. All in all, we would definitely consider coming back here.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort and staff.

Great resort, landscaping and staff. After staying here at the Grand Coba at least 5 times over the last 20 years, the food quality has diminished with several food stations empty and the same food selections daily. Al Le carte restaurants are near impossible to book as members of the more expensive resorts on the property are allowed advanced bookings prior to arrival. We were only able to book 2 out of the less popular al le cartes out of 4 on our 10 day holiday visit. That said we still en [... read more]joyed the resort and staff during our stay.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Not so good

Flys in bathroom they never dealt with , safe would not work -door lock broke - had to ask for towels and face cloths for the room .getting a lounger around the pool was impossible as people were reserving them the night before . Food was ok pretty mundane tho - couldn't get an ala carte as people were reserving them at 4am - drinks were watered down the kaluha tasted like watered down vanilla- rooms are very dated need renovation for sure

Allegro Cozumel: Did not think this resort is close to a four star

The grounds were well kept and easy to get around the staff are very friendly and helpful the waitress at pool and beach are excellent and they were easy together along with the bartenders at the lobby bar did not seem so good as at the beach the food on the breakfast and dinner buffet was not kept hot lunch buffet was much better had Italian dinner and was not impressed overall this is a nice resort and easy to get around as a senior but the cold food is a strike against

Occidental Cozumel: Beautiful resort.

We were blown away by how gorgeous the grounds are. Immaculate. The resort is laid out perfectly for ease of getting around. Food was great. Lots of drinks to pick from. Many little tables in bar and lounge areas to play games or cards. Entertainment was really good and we enjoyed the disco. Easy access to the beach if desired. The pool was a bit cold but that’s not the hotels fault. Would have liked a few more English channels on the tv. Everyone was kind and helpful. Occidental Cozumel: Beautiful resort.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great family resort

Great family resort with lots to do for kids. We were busy from morning until night. We stayed in the family section, which was further in the back offering more tree areas. This provided lots of entertainment from the monkeys in the trees. A truly unique experience and a highlight for us. Our accommodations were one of the renovated areas. It was very difficult t [... read more]o book à la carts and this was very frustrating. We only managed to get to one à la cart. The grounds are beautiful with lots to see and do. The staff work extremely hard to keep it clean and it shows. The grounds were spotless, considering there was wildlife all around us. We really liked the fact that our room key was our bracelet. One less thing to worry about. The pools were ice cold. Literally felt like you were swimming in ice cubes. Overall, it was a wonderful family holiday for us. We would recommend this resort as a family resort not a party resort. Lots of kids.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Get what you pay for

It's warm in the sun, but for cheap. Resort is dated and rooms are musky, there are no umbrellas around the pools so be up at 7 am to save your pool spot under a cabana. Staff friendly, rooms are clean, food is good. Positive is its warmer than at home.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing resort!

Husband and I loved everything about this place. Food and service was excellent. Only negative was our proximity to the RIU Parties that took place every other night.....otherwise location of our room was convenient for buffet, pool and beach! Highly recommend!

Plaza Pelicanos Club: There's a twist you should know first.

There are 3 resorts in a row. Two with similar names on each side of one, (Sunset?) which is currently under renovation and expansion. Plaza Pelicanos Grand and Plaza Pelicanos Beach Club are NOT the same. PP Beach Club will be demolished to continue the expansion of the middle resort. This background is important to understand in this review. PP Beach Club has a beautiful location with 2 pools. One pool is beside the beach and has a bar, snack bar, and area for shows. The rooms, another [... read more] pool and diningroom are across a street from the beach/other pool area. Because this section of the resort will be torn down, the maintenance is subpar. Light fixtures are literally not attached to the wall, bulbs are burnt out, shower sprays over entire bathroom, and air conditioning is set at cold (no matter the setting). I'm not joking when i say i slept in my winter coat! There is no lockbox for valuabes in the room unless you ask to have it installed for your stay. The food was horrible. If you're coming to Mexico for the food, look elsewhere. Drinks were fine, pool area by the beach was very nice but the snack bar was also not good. Hamburgers and hotdogs and fries. Rarely even tortilla chips... that's a staple in my opinion. If you get a great price, it might be worth it for location alone but if you have expectations of the basic Mexican resort experience, you will be disappointed.

Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres All Suite Resort: luxury Resort

I had an incredible stay at this hotel. Everything about it felt luxurious, from the beautifully designed rooms to the overall atmosphere throughout the property. The food was exceptional, with every meal exceeding expectations, and the service was consistently outstanding. Housekeeping kept everything spotless and truly added to the comfort of the stay. He was absolutely fantastic, always smil [... read more]ing, always welcoming, and genuinely inclusive. He made everyone feel comfortable joining in and brought such positive energy to every activity. His enthusiasm really elevated the entire experience. This hotel delivers luxury in every sense, and I can’t recommend it enough. I’m already looking forward to returning.

Armony Marival Resort and Spa Punta de Mita: Beautiful Resort

This resort was great. We had a 10 day stay and did not go off site at all. The grounds were jungle lush, the restaurants were very good and the staff was so helpful and friendly. The expanse of a beautiful beach made morning and evening walks awesome. The entertainment was more interactive than larger resorts and appropriate for all age groups. Yoga every day, join in on daily events at the main pool overlooking the ocean or choose a quiet pool to relax. We had a walk out room and a pool and [... read more] bar were right there, it was great. This resort is on a cliff so there are stairs leading down to the beach so if you have mobility issues and you want beach time that might be an issue. The one thing that seemed to confuse us was each time you got food you would be asked to sign a "bill". We had an all inclusive so did not understand the need for that but I feel it was for their records keeping. We always signed and were not charged anything at the end of the stay. Would recommend you give this resort a try.

Riu Flamingos: Amazing Resort!

Excellent vacation at RIU Jalisco! Great swimming beach, the walks through the sand are beautiful while the sunsets. Food; best buffet I’ve had in Mexico, awesome service, fun nightly entertainment, and the Friday RIU Neon Party was a blast. Highly recommend!This newly renovated Rui was a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing or active vacation!

Barcelo Maya Palace: Super Resort

The check in was a bit chaotic and disorganized. The room was super spacious and clean. The resort itself, including all pools, is beautiful, clean, well maintained and people are very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent; buffet and restaurants. The beach was a bit rocky but some parts were fine. I would definitely go back.

Catalonia Yucatan: Great family resort

We went here on our first family vacation with my six-year-old and my 11 year-old and my husband. in terms of the room, they were kept clean and tidy daily but Definately dated it didn’t bother us at all. There was many swimming areas as the two hotels are attached. This ocean was super safe. There was a little lagoon with lots of fish and sea creatures to look at with snorkels and use kayaks and the other side of the ocean was blocked off so it’s super safe from any under toes. We really enjoye [... read more]d the breakfast and the lunches at the buffet however, the dinners were just subpar. I do suggest trying to make reservations right away for the à la carte. I did that night and I could only get two in at the end of our trip the Mexican and the Italian. My husband says that the Mexican was a three out of 10 and had small portions but he is a bigger guy so for the kids and I I found it fine. Porto Ventura is just a walk away. It’s a cute little area with many restaurants. Dolphins manatees and shops. A short drive to Playa Del Carmen, which is always a great visit. But a very safe, clean and fun hotel resorts, especially with the family all in all. I would Rate it 8/10
