Platinum Yucatan Princess: Very pleased with our choice

Wonderful swim out suite with a great bed, good pillows and everything working, plenty of hot water under as needed under amazing rainfall shower head. Very good food and service from all staff and a special thanks to Catalina for her frequents stops by our swim out suite. All specialty restaurants were very good and buffet was well above what we've experienced at other resorts of similar ranking. Sunwing is showing obvious signs of dollar shaving efforts, no Wifi on plane not even a magazine to [... read more] scan and pass the time and use of infield terminal is great for departure but upon return awaiting baggage is much longer than normal. Very much reconsidering the Elite plus add on we chose for next vacation, seats are very narrow, I'm not at all a large person, just tall and we had front bulkhead whcih didn't provide much extra legroom. All in all a very relaxing time, quite enjoyed our stay.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Stay away from this resort

Value proposition? Zero HUGELY Overpriced for what they can deliver. Stayed at Hidaway Diamond Club - top tier price for a two-star motel quality. Daily struggle to get your room clean (forget about turndown service), VERY dated furniture and rooms desperately needing a complete renovation (shower drain covers missing, handles of the shower valves falling out, grime and calcium buidup on the "rain" shower heads, one of the bathroom sinks constantly clogging, closet doors "partially" working, th [... read more]e same with the balcony doors). The Front Line staff - FANTASTIC, the management - utter failure, not caring, not giving a damn, wholly dedicated to push their version of a "vacation club." Add to this the fact that they are extremely short-staffed, old dingy beach towels (that are constantly in short supply), room towels that were at one point white, but not in recent history, Old, breaking down beach loungers, beach bars that looks like they might present some health/safety hazards. One thing is for sure: we will never stay in the Royalton property again.

Grand Sunset Princess: Amazing Resort

This resort is absolutely beautiful. We booked sunset, but ended up staying on thr riviera side because of renovations. The room was beautiful, and clean enough. The service was always great. The buffet food was always great. The a la cartes were okay. Not my favorite, we tried 3. The beach was great. We loved the BBQ by the beach everyday. One con was we found them a bit pushy right when we got there to talk about excursions and tried getting us to do a time share presentation. Our trip central helper martine reid was so nice to deal with. I would recommend anyone using her for a family vacation or a couples vacation she was always available no matter what time of the day and updated me with the vacation prices

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Excellent Trip

This was our second trip to Barcelo Maya. We stayed at Tropical this time and again we were very happy with our stay. The room was clean and no issues; little humid but not much can be done with that. Food was good and lots of variety to choose from if your picky. The beach is beautiful and pools were warm. We will return.

Great hotel complex. Very clean and beautiful throughout. Standard room was great with cold AC. Buffett food was good to very good at the main Buffet. Ok to good at poolside Buffets. Beach was great with very Little Rock’s to worry about. Sargassum was light to none existent. Staff are courteous and timely.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Great family vacation

The grounds, staff and rooms were great! The coffee shops were awesome and there was always chairs by the pool even at 10am. The buffet was good; it had a lot of variety but the options were mostly the same for lunch and dinner all 7 days. The gym was really nice and the pickleball/ tennis courts were never busy. The food at the La Geisha restaurant was delicious.

Viva Maya by Wyndham: Would go again

The hotel was very clean we really enjoyed the setup . The food was good . The staff was very helpful we Evan took a massage. The hotel room were clean .we went to a couple restaurants and food so good but Mexican one we fell ill after not sure why , all in all we would return to the hotel again .the place was organized and drinks were well made . Lots to o do for families and kids activities.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great and amazing vacation

Hotel was a little old but everything was clean and very well designed. One of the greatest thing we appreciate was to swim with the turtles. So you don’t have to pay anything because it is right there at the beach. Catamaran is also free. Restaurants and food was also excellent. Drink, I don’t drink that much so I can’t comment. Pools are huge and clean, lots of chairs but people still reserve them…

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: This resort is something else

Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club: Unforgettable Experience

My now fiancé and I had the best time at secrets tulum. Not only was it the trip we got engaged on, but everything was perfect from start to finish. Employees were friendly, and service was efficient. Food was excellent. The shepherd tacos at La Taqueria were our favourite. The entertainment was special, our favourite was the Mexican show of course. We really have nothing to complain about. The pools were refreshing, and the design of the building was just stunning. We appreciated every detail. Drinks were never ending, with bartenders even surprising us with special drinks and shots they think we would like. Before this trip we were stunned by the amount of negative reviews and chose to go with an open mind. We could not understand why anyone would have anything negative to say about this resort. It was an absolutely flawless vacation. The beach club was something we have never experienced before, and it was only a short 15-20 minute shuttle which added to the experience as we were in a safari truck. Beach was beautiful, crystal blue water and even 2 lovely pools at the beach club… what a nice touch. Water aerobics, yoga, beach volleyball and bracelet making on the beach was so much fun. Not to mention the delicious shrimp tacos at the beach restaurant. I could go on for much longer but all I have to say is if you want a perfect romantic getaway, choose secrets tulum! Thank you for everything.

Hotel was great. Room beautiful however housekeeping not the best. Some days only bed made, nothing wiped off. Grounds stunning, food top notch. Staff accommodating and friendly. Definitely return. Nice no children.

The best possible service we could have received, we have never been treated better and having the butlers there was such an amazing add on! They helped out with setting everything up and walked through everything with us. My fiance and i are planning to have our honeymoon here now

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Relaxing, fun and beautiful scenery!

The hotel overall was beautiful and well kept. The staff went above and beyond to help you with whatever you needed! Check in was lengthy due to our booking being under a different name (wedding name) with Trip Central. My only complaint with this resort is their dining…they do not allow reservations and some nights we would be told it’s an hour plus wait time. Aside from checking in (which wasn’t the resorts fault) and the dining wait times, it was beautiful! I likely wouldn’t return due to the [... read more] distance from the airport but for our wedding, it all worked out perfectly and they had the best price!

Would recommend this place! We did a relaxing, quiet holiday for two. It was perfect! Clean rooms, food was good, staff was excellent. Loved the wildlife there! If you want a more robust holiday I am sure you can do it here, but we had swim out and spent our time simply in our room and on our terrace. The only con if you are a beach person it is a small area.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Family vacation

Large hotel, rooms are nice but everything is digital, we had lots of issues with our rooms, wifi not working, phone not working etc needed to be reset in both rooms. Bathroom flooded. It was difficult to book the a la cart restaurants if you had 2 rooms you couldn’t use the app, needed to book with concierge and all good choices were fully booked. Room service took 2 hours to arrive. Grounds were nice and well kept. The beach is not the best, quite small not a great place to walk the beach, lo [... read more]ts of sargassum. I’ve stayed at places with much nicer beaches. Pools were nice and lazy river was nice.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Three Star

This resort is nice, just disappointing that we could not use the beach at all due to severe seaweed. They had tractors out every day trying to control, not their fault. "Mother Nature" Also, did not realize you have to book your restaurants from home, we tried to book same day we arrived at resort and were completely booked. Only able to get into one restaurant.

El Dorado Royale: Great Property and Lots of Options

Hotel/Buildings and grounds were beautiful. Staff are very hard working and restaurant staff went above and beyond. This resort is massive and lots of options for restaurants and walking. If you want beach swimming this is not your resort, red flags are always up indicating it's too dangerous to swim. The beach area is very windy as well but nice. There are lots of balibeds and loungers and never a shortage. Staff are clearing the seaweed off the beach every day. There are several poo [... read more]ls but if you want a quiet spot you may not get it depending on the others around you. Although they say tipping is optional it is completely expected and sometime outright asked for. The high pressure sales of their club membership is a 2 hour session...they say it's 1.5 hours and will offer several benefits to get you to attend. They say they can only give their pitch once yet when we were in the lobby leaving we got the sales pitch another 3 times by the staff roaming the lobby...politely declining again and again and again. Each restaurant offers their recommended wine options for a high mark up cost but they always have house wine, which is included in your "all inclusive"

El Dorado Maroma: Excellent!

We visited the Maya Riviera close to 20 times and our stay at the El Dorada Maroma is our best yet. The resort is well managed and maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good and the beach is fantastic. I highly recommend this resort for those people that are looking for a good boutique experience with lots of opportunity for rest and relaxation
