Grounds very nice and clean ,public areas clean ,rooms very nice & clean but bathrooms needs renovations,dining excellent -food fantastic.Staff- good. The review is for ; Esmeralda ! not for Turquesa. -PS. on arrival to Turquesa we change to Esmeralda only because of the beach,

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Family Vacation

We traveled to this resort at the end of January with my husband and 5 year old Daughter. This is an Excellent Family Resort and Excellent value for what you get! Yes the Rooms are out dated but they are spacious and Clean! There are areas within the resort that have been renovated. The one downside is that it is Not Beach front but we did know that when we booked but its not a far walk or Trolly ride! Excellent Food and service! Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Aweful beyond Words!!!

The worst thing in the word is trusting a company like Trip Central to provide you a last minute deal at a 5 star resort - Bahia Grand Principe -Turquesa. This hotel is a symbol of everything that is wrong in the world. Dirt, dirt and dirt toppled with a bunch of racist employees who refuse to speak English. Our vacation was nothing short of a nightmare. My husband is covered in bites. Day three of waking up to a blood stained sheets followed by some kind of insect droppings/shells, we went to c [... read more]omplain only to be told the staff didn’t understand. Oddly they knew that the only option was to upgrade for $90 US per night. Once we paid, the staff’s English kicked in enough to tell us we were going to finally get clean and better service. Everytime we wanted a drink we were either ignored or told we needed to pay for select liquor or beer. All in all we are home now and my husband is on antibiotics. At this point I am convinced that Trip Central is aware of this resort’s milicous attempt to force people to upgrade or live in filth for 7 days!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very outdated

The rooms are absolutely disgusting! Very old and rundown. They do not spray for bugs and everyone got eaten alive. The food, pools and grounds were absolutely wonderful. Service is terrible. I do not recommend this place.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: For Mexico it was okay

No map, no menu, no drink menu, couldn't find entertainment listings..everything was a QR code and took too much time. Couldn't locate air canada rep, beach was dissaponting. Got scammed by "no we don't have timeshare" on the resort, we just want 10 min of your time; 2 hours later if being passed around to this person and that to find out 10k to buy in to some resort deal. Wasted my time although I was upfront and said don't drag me around, give me the bottom line so I can enjoy my vacation.  [... read more]Basically with the 1.5 hour drive from airport to resort and getting sucked in to the drag around we lost a day. Paying as much as we did, on limited vacation time, I was truly dissatisfied. On a good note, the food was great, rooms were clean, and service was wonderful by staff. I've been to many Bahia's and I'm going to stick with Punta Cana, less travel, never got stocked by "not time share" scams and had access to paper formats if needed, could look at an actual menu at the bar and restaurant and was always informed of activities. I overheard others talking, and they thought it was the most boring resort yet, I suspect they couldn't figure out what was going on either. Won't be back to that resort, but will continue to enjoy Bahia in other areas so long as there is something I can read in front of me and not have to use my internet and find QR codes.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Simply the best!

We absolutely enjoyed our 7 day stay at this amazing boutique! From our arrival to departure, we were impressed with the room, staff, food, private beach, pool, cabanas and water view!! Service by staff was always attentive and professional. We can’t wait to return ?

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: resort way to busy...not enough staff to handle cleaning of tables during breakfast and supper...mosquitoes in lobby very bad

rooms were very nice ...grounds and pool and beach area very nice...easy to walk on the beach...vendors were not pushy...should teach staff to comunicate and understand english...all in all not a bad experience., but could have been better

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing place, wonderful people!

The room was amazing, the grounds beautiful and well kept. The staff are always friendly and go above and beyond. I had sore muscles after a long flight, so booked a massage at the spa. Maria easily found the knots and gently but firmly worked them out, always ensuring my comfort. Regardless of where we ate, the food was amazing! Patricia made us feel very welcome at the evening buffet, like coming home and the outdoor patio was the perfect setting for dinner. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: I will be returning

My second stay at the Bahai Principe and it will remain as one of my favorites. Akumal is the luxury and beach side area of the 4 Bahai Principe resorts located together. Im going to rate this and the other Bahai areas very high, as we visited all but the Adult resort on our recent trip. I have previously stayed at the adult Sian Kaan area and it is beautiful and quiet, you have to shuttle to the beach from there. First Akumal, we were fortunate to stay in one of the recently renovated modern [... read more] units and they are comfortable, a good size and the AC is perfect. There are first floor swim out units with a small semi private pool, may explore these units for our next visit. A good choice if you prefer quiet, not necessary if you plan to be in the action at the pool or beach. Did hear the older units are a bit dated and the AC less powerful. Akumal has an adult area away from the main pools, that has a beautiful infinity pool, adult restaurant KATOK and a private beach access. If you want quiet, request a room in this area, there are shuttles to take you to the lobby. As for the main pool areas (separate from the adult area) , there are three areas to choose from. The main action area near the lobby, pool with the swim up bar, and a third quieter area with limited bar service. We spent most of our time at the first two where there is music, bar service to your seat, easy beach access. The pools are weave around the area and have seating and lounging options in the water. There is plenty of seats around the pool area, no need to save a spot. Shaded spots are a bit more limited at the pools but abundant at the beach. The beach is busy and seems to be where most people tend to hang out. there is bar service, some activities and a lot of chairs/umbrellas available. COBA is the kids area but really nice and still caters to the adults. We didn't spend much time here outside of restaurants but it is a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Nice sports bar and wide open nighttime area. Pool looks great for young kids. TULUM is a bit further from Akumal but there are shuttles available, not too far if you walk along the beach. TULUM is huge, and renovated. The pools are very large and open, it is louder then AKUMAL. TULUM is a beautiful looking resort. Has beach access but much smaller then AKUMALs beach area. If traveling with just adults I would choose Sian Kaan. With older teens really tough choice between Akumal or Tulum (no bad choice here). Maybe Akumal if I was going to access an adult only area or prefer beach over pool, otherwise Tulum if I want pools more then beach. Coba or Tulum with kids. Coba is budget friendly. Now the best part. The food. Prebook your a la cartes using the Bahai App a week ahead of time. There is an amazing selection of restaurants some focusing on great food and other on an experience. You will not be disappointed. If you are staying at Akumal, Sian Kaan, and I think Tulum, you can book at any of the restaurants on any resort. Some are adult only. The Coba restaurants definitely have a kid focus on menu items but the Mikado experience with the cook top is worth it. I also recommended the Brazilian Steakhouse and Tequila at Tulum for a bit of an experience while dining. All the restaurants at Akumal and Sian Kaan are excellent. You will have a tough time deciding which restaurants to book. Great selection at the breakfast and lunch buffets at all locations, again the COBA features a few more kid friendly options. The only bad thing, is the drive out from the airport. It is a long way and traffic can be an issue. If you are using the transfer bus then you may have stops along the way and you will be the last stop of the journey. My daughters review was, that is a long drive but totally worth it for this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Fantastic Resort!!

This resort was absolutely beautiful!! Very very clean, rooms spotless, staff were very accommodating and friendly and food was fabulous!! Honestly I have no complaints whatsoever and plan to return.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Beautiful Grounds!

The hotel grounds are gorgeous, and the buffet food & beach are mediocre but a la cartes are good. Alcoholic beverages are just okay-too syrupy. A LOT of seniors at this resort and evening entertainment boring except for the Dominican Night. Rooms need a THOROUGH cleaning and upgrading! Water pressure in shower and TV options could be improved.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing place

The hotel was cleaned at all times. Very friendly staff. Very good food and variety of options. Glad that we went there. Had a great time.we had adults only beach area which was great for us. The pool we didn’t use because of a lot of sunscreen in the water even they cleaned it every night. We will go again there for sure.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing.resort

Had a terrific time and would go back in a heartbeat. Everything is so manicured and super clean. Staff were perfect and treated us like royalty. Carlos Chance(?) was manning the poolside bar and beach bar, always ready with a cold beer, of course with the amazing Loreena helping him out. Claudia at the buffet.. could go on, but appreciated everyone. Super relaxing and fun. Amazing entertainment every night.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Good but need more work to return to recover state

I think that both hotel and other services (room especially) need improvement. We went here as we have been before but service is not yet at that level of pre Covid.Room was cleaned but a lot of mosquitoes inside, toilet holder broken, shampo holder didn’t work, tub with stains or damaged, tv hardly could see any program in English. Reception seems very slow and hardly helpt to get any information if needed. In the resort was really hard to get coffe and drinks ( beer) because either coffe mascines were not ready or in very small number in restaurants. We had to ask waiters to bring water, coffe or beer and in some cases we hardly get it or got it at the end of meal. Pool was very crowded and hardly could find place to sit unless you wake up early. Cons- currently construction 24/7 - could not sleep! Some nights like hammering through rock! Not as Stated in brochures:No international top shelf liquors (unless paying a stipend). Did not replenish mini fridges daily. No bubbles in cheap Prosecco. Orange juice was real juice at all- this made for yucky breakfast mimosas. No heat in rooms when outside temps got down to 15 overnight- so did the room. Requested Blankets were never delivered. I know real hardship. Rooms dated but AC is not too disruptive while sleeping. Fridge keeps things nice & cold. Main thing right? On arrival Long HOT wait for bus before leaving airport. 2 long hours to get to resort from airport.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Can’t wait to go back

Absolutely incredible resort, from the food to the service. This resort is everything you would want in an all inclusive spot. Truly an amazing spot and can’t wait to return! Shae at trip central was so helpful in booking this trip and we look forward to using her again in our next!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent Hotel

The Hotel was very specious with lots of well maintained gardens and landscaping. Our room had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool was very clean . The restaurants were amazing with great staff and excellent food. I can’t say enough about the beaches!! We wanted a late checkout and had no problem with the request.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Disappointing Smelly resort experience!

Disappointing Stay My Brother requested a crib for this 14 month old Before leaving for this resort. He did not get a crib for Two days after several attempts made to the front desk. Next the place smells bad the Buffet Restaurant has a smell kinda like sewage that makes you not want to eat there! Food and service is subpar on a good day! Our Room had mold in our bathroom! Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: 2nd time guest

A very comfortable resort with beautiful scenery on the drive from the airport. Clean, plenty of washrooms and bars throughout the resort… except no lobby bar. A very walkable resort, but a shuttle is available if needed. Greek and Italian a la carte restaurant meals were delicious and beautifully presented. Service at the beach buffet was good, but hit & miss at the main buffet. Beach is beautiful & has areas for good snorkelling. Long walks along the beautiful beaches.
