Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Fantastic resort!

Our stay at The Decameron was wonderful. We paid a little extra for Building 1, which overlooked the ocean and it was well worth it; the beach is just steps away and the sunsets were spectacular. Mind you, the Decameron has lots of beachfront and some of the other five buildings have terrific views also. In any case, they're all a quick walk to the beach. The amenities - six pools, five restaurants, two buffets, numerous bars, tennis courts - were all great and we liked that bike and water sport rentals were free. The two lobbies aren't vast and impressive like many resorts as The Decameron is a little older, but once inside, you'll find helpful staff, a welcoming atmosphere and a chill vibe for all ages.

Grand Decameron Panama: Amazing Royal Decameron

Royal Decameron is a very nice resort. All around excellent service, friendliness, polite, clean and always ready to assist. The a la carte restaurants are fabulous with a large selection. The buffet restaurants are nice, large variety of items and several of the buffets around the resort. Would recommend this resort to all of my family & friends.

Decameron Baru Beach Resort and Spa: Good resort with wrong location

The hotel was lovely, the food was reasonably good but it was in the middle of nowhere! After 5 1/2 hours on a plane to get to Cartogena we had to take a bus for 1 1/2 hours to get to the hotel, half of it being on a pot hole gravel road! It is primarily a resort for weekenders from South America and day trippers! Very noisy with loud music on and off, mostly on, until about 10 at night with activity directors yelling into a microphone. Grand Decameron Panama: Great vacation!

We recently enjoyed a week in Panama at the Royal Decameron. The resort is huge and offers lots to do. I would recommend this resort for families. The grounds are well maintained, food choices are good. A note of caution for everyone to use sunscreen! It is incredibly hot and the sun can be harsh. My husband never burns but he did on this trip. The RDC is my go to vacation destination. the staff, and I mean all the staff from the ground up are all friendly and amazing! No complaints at all from me. Amazing place to go. Once you go you will go back time and time again

Exemplary attention paid to the grounds, food, service, and cleanliness... Older staff an asset and VERY Accommodating Convenient location for young and old - NO complaints (rare) and Great! Food Good... Could be better

Grand Decameron Panama: Good Resort

Very large resort with excellent staff. Nice place with many options. The hill side is a bit steep but if you are on the beach front its not to much of an issue. Overall good food (minus raw chicken fed to our child in the seafood restaurant) with plenty of options. Lifeguards were amazing with children. Some of the bars were a bit backlogged but again it wasn't to bad. One pool was a bit worse then others for a line at the bar. Grand Decameron Panama: Not for English speaking people

The hotel was very nice and the grounds and amenities were excellent. However having to make reservations for every single dinner, even if eating at the buffet is ridiculous. I have traveled many, many times over the years and this is the first all inclusive that I have ever been to that you would have problems getting into the buffet restaurant if you did not have reservations. Almost every meal we would have to ask 3 different severs to get us drinks, and we are talking simple drinks like water, coke and wine. Most of the time they would look at you with a blank stare, not say a word and then walk away as if you didn't exist. On new years eve it got even worse. We were ignored so much that I had to go to the servers station and with 4 of them standing there staring at me I served my own wine to myself an my table. We were eating at the buffet that night and nobody cleared our plates even once. I had to get all of our plates, stand beside a server at his cart and scrape off our dishes into his trash can and stack the plates on his cart. I then offered to clear other guests tables as they just didn't care. This hotel provided the absolute worst service I have ever had. However if you spoke Spanish they took good care of you. The new years party that they through was great however it was completely in Spanish and French, no English at all. I would not recommend this resort to any of my travel companions and I travel at least 4 times per year with more that two dozen friends that also travel with us during these times.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Great resort!

Had superior room....it was big but stark. It was near the a la carte restaurant that also served brekky and lunch. Location of the room was great....yes some stairs to climb up but much needed "exercise" after all the food! I personally LOVED the food....Mexican food at every meal, no shortage of guack! Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Awesome Vacations spot

The hotel was nice, clean, affordable and the staff was super fun and friendly. Rooms were kept great all plugs etc worked. The buffet food was moderate to good. The ala carte restaurant was amazing. I loved that this resort is small and friendly. we took the city bus for a buck everywhere and felt safe and welcome.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Wonderful family Christmas Vacation

This hotel is very large and older. The hotel and the standard rooms are well kept and comfortable. We were in building one, which is right on the beach. The main dining room is very well maintained with a relatively varied menu. The bar at the beach was wonderful. And the disco and the patio outside were great...where we could get drinks until 3 a.m. Had a great time. Will gladly go back again.

Beds were uncomfortable. The buffets meals were ok. The Al a carte restaurant was good. I have been to several Royal Decamerons in the past and sadly this location failed in comparison. There is potential if they replace the mattresses change the artwork in the hallways ( left over from previous resort) and add a little more variety to the buffet.

Nice hotel with good food. Hotel is a little older but the staff are wonderful. More suited for young families and 60 plus as the adult pool (quiet pool) is geared specifically for the older generation. If your between the ages of 30-50 and are not travelling with children, you may not find many people in your age group here. Also, be aware that the walls are paper thin if you are a light sleeper. We maybe got 3 -5 nights of fluid uninterrupted sleep in our 15 night stay. The hotel is a little dated, BUT it is a great place to stay. Overall the food was good and the specialty restaurants did not disappoint. (Steakhouse was our favorite). I would recommend avoiding building 2 as it is right by the nightly shows and nightclub. It is VERY NOISEY. We were booked into this block and within the 1st hour I reqested to be moved. Grand Decameron Panama: Not disappointed

This was our third trip to the Royal Decameron in Panama. Hot weather, as expected, good service and food. Beach is fantastic, water very warm and pleasant. I was disturbed to see horses on the beach relieving themselves on the shore and onto the sand (where children play). I did write this in the evaluation given at the end of our stay, and hopefully something will be done to remedy the situation, as the idea of swimming with horse shit is repulsive. First the good. The staff try hard. The grounds are lovely. Now the rest. There are only one buffet and one other restaurant. I am a WINE drinker, non of the bars carry wine????? The buffet does and sometime the other restaurant but not always. Two nights a week only the buffet is open. I suppose it is for staffing reasons. One evening at the buffet as it was the only one open, Perrin asked for a vodka and tonic only to be told they only have wine, beer, soda and lemonade. WHY?????? WE DON”t Once upon arrival you are told to not flush toilet paper down the toilet but to put it into the basket after your business is done. HOW GROSS. They do have an adult only pool but you must go up a large flight of stairs, no elevator, so for us it was a no go. Perrin has mobility problems. I would be hard pressed to return to this location as the choices are so large where there are many other places that would appreciate my business. Prices are so varied at this location. Spoke to many people that paid a whole lot less than we did. I do not think we spoke to one person that paid more although some may have. Of all the people we spoke to only two said they would return. Not a great recommendation for them Apparently they have sent a manager from another Royal DeCameron to do manage control. I wished him luck as he has a very big job ahead of him.

Everything was neat and clean, staff were excellent, nice quiet resort to just relax. Food was excellent. Transat looked after all the details really well. Shuttles, airport help, always looked after professionally.

The resort and staff were really great. Entertainment was good. A lot of stairs, was with my granny and it was a bit tough for her. Adding an elevator or ramp to get down to the pool and beach area would make it better but other than that everything was great.

Grand Decameron Panama: Awesome weather and a very clean resort!

My husband and I have been to the Royal Decameron Beach Resort in Panama many times. Having the new airport open so close to the resort was an amazing experience. The grounds are impeccable and the staff are friendly. The addition of the waterslides is awesome! We will be back soon for sure.

Dec 3-10 2016 This Hotel was VERY disappointing. There were NO fridges in any of the rooms (the couple we flew with needed to have Medication in a fridge, but nothing was done). So the one bottle of water you got was room temp. There were too many WASPS buzzing around everywhere. I'm allergic. NO service while you are at the pool or beach for drinks. You had to find a bar and stand in line every time you wanted a drink, usually only one bartender. No tissue's anywhere, No alcohol in your rooms, [... read more] no lotions, no King beds, only doubles, no wifi or internet available in your rooms, only in lobby and we had to reboot 3 times in 30 minutes...It was hard for my hubby to get any work done at all..We usually buy a package for him and all is good. The lounge chairs were old plastic ones with no cushions (we had to buy blow ups so we could sit on those chairs for any length of time. We felt they catered to the Mexican families a little too much. Some Evening shows in Spanish only. We have been to a few places like the Palladium and the Grand Sirens on both the Mayan side and P.V. side and they are ranked 4.5 and 5 stars So This one should in no way be ranked that high..It is run down with holes in the curtains and no lights in the rooms also no end tables. No special drinks to speak of, no decent wine, only out of a box even in the restaurants, no little shooter drinks, no pina coladas, no mojitos, no GM, no after dinner drinks. Only one or two people spoke enough english to help us to get to Puerto Vallarta by taxi and where to see some new things. We will never go back to this Complex. Please TripCentral You need to change the Status of this complex on your site. I have trusted your ratings in the past, but this one just doesn't cut it. We are from Alberta, Canada and are between 55 & 60 years old. We hope this will help anyone to decide not to go here.
