Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing time at the Royalton!

This is our second trip to the Royalton and it didn't disappoint. The service and staff are very helpful and friendly. The beach is spectacular and you can always find a lounger with no problem. I would recommend upgrading to The Diamond Club for the extra amenities -- especially if you're a golfer. We enjoyed all the a la carte restaurants -- except one night the steak was very tough in the Carribean (apparently, they ran out of beef filets). All the other nights the food was delicious. The buf [... read more]fet was fresh and plentiful and the drink quality is also very good. We chose to stay 10 days this time as we found that 7 just wasn't enough!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort!

Recently stayed at the Royalton with a group of 12 people at the end of January. We loved this resort! Rooms were clean and nice, always had hot water and fridges were stocked everyday. The beach was beautiful, though it was hard to find chairs unless you put your towel down early in the morning. Pools were clean, lots of chairs regardless of the time of day. Food was great, we loved the Brazilian steakhouse and the Asian a la cartes. We also loved having the food truck right by the  [... read more]pool, most of our lunches were from there. Sports bar was a riot at night when the karaoke was on, they also had live bands at the martini bar every night which was great. Only complaint was that with such a big group it was hard to get into the a la cartes at night, but did not break our trip. Service was good, some bars were better than others. Lots of stuff to do, lazy river, wave runner etc, especially for families, next time we are bringing the kids. Will definitely be returning to Royalton Bavaro!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Good times at the Royalton

Overall a great experience for a family of four - kids 14 and 8 (didn't use kids/teen club) in a modern resort close to the Cancun airport. Pools were great - a few different options and all heated. Beach - sand was beautiful, water was hit and miss due to being murky on most days. Excellent service all around - did have an issue with our original "ocean view" room which lacked "ocean view" in building nine but this was resolved quickly and ended up in building 7 facing the pool which was a b [... read more]it noisy at night until about 11pm. Great experience at Zen and Taj (Indian). Would have been nice to have some other lunch options - other than Nibbles/burgers and the buffet (pizza place and food truck wasn't open every day).

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Beautiful new resort

Beautiful, modern, family friendly resort. I’m a foodie and even I was impressed by the resorts food. Favourites were Rio and Hunter. Never a dull moment lots to do at the resort really enjoyed the lazy river and flow rider. Unfortunately our swim out was not heated but still enjoyable to lounge around while the baby was napping. Beach was well kept and the softest sand I have ever felt. Ocean however was very wavy difficult to swim in. Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great Family Resort

We just returned from 2 weeks at the Royalton Bavaro and had an incredible time. We traveled with a group of 9 people ranging from age 2 to 95. This resort literally had something for everyone and we covered the age spectrum. Wonderful beach, best food I've had at a resort, amazing activities. Probably wouldn't recommend it to couples but definitely great for families.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Awesome Resort!

We stayed at the Royalton from Jan 25-Feb 1. Beach is beautiful and so clean ... no motorized vehicles polluting the air. Staff are so friendly and provided some of the best service we’ve experienced. Food was really good...only complaint about the food is that nothing is ever hot. Either lukewarm or cold. Overall a great resort and we would definitely return.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Wonderful vacation for 2

just returned from a one week stay, stayed ocean front in building 20, with fabulous view and sounds of the waves from our balcony. Resort was very clean and well kept, lots of activities and endless dining options to suit your carvings, from food trucks of convenience, and the fabulous smelling grill near the lazy river, lunches at the beachfront restaurant and the fine dining experiences of the a la carte options in the evenings. Lots of nightly entertainment and great atmosphere in the evenings, tons of seating for people watching or enjoying the lobby singer/entertainers. Many bars to serve your needs as well throughout the resort, as its a big resort. They loved shaking the margaritas up! We have traveled south over a dozen times and this resort would rate as one of the best, loved the no towel card and the room key wrist bands, there was lots of seating around the pools, no towel reserving chair game, however I do think this happened with beach seats. The beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles, with the warm breeze and hot sun, clean beach and waters. We loved the closeness/proximity of the pool and the beach so you could easily switch up from one to the other to cool off or split up your day, The lazy river was also a beloved option, Jhonny the bartender at this river pool bar was always smiling and happy to see you. Waiter service at the beach and pool was regular enough, restaurant service could have been a little quicker in some places but we didn't mind as we were on vacation time and no where else to be, just have another drink while you wait. It is a heavily populated resort for families, we knew this when we booked, it didn't hinder our trip by any means, but with the multitude of available pools , my only suggestion would be an "adults only" designated one, it is hard to nap poolside or chill in the water with kids jumping in and diving or screaming lol, not a deal breaker by any means but it may be a welcome change for the adults, such as us whom are travelling without our children. Overall I would, and already have recommended this resort to others!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Excellent trip

The resort is great overall. Excellent food, rooms are great, and the beach is amazing! The only negative comment I have is that there are people trying to get you to buy a membership to a vacation club who are quite pushy and rude. In spite of this I would still return to this hotel.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Smaller more relaxing resort

Our stay at the Royalton was very relaxing. We spent every day at the beautiful beach reading. The staff are very attentive and are happy to help you with everything. Michele and Javier were especially great and went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. Because its a smaller resort the staff are really able to get to know you and have the time to get everyone drinks. You have access to the resorts next door Memories and Grand Memories, with over 3,000 people at those resorts they [... read more] are much louder and busier, so it was nice to go over to change up the dinners and watch some entertainment but the best to come back to a quieter more relaxing Royalton. For Cuba, the food was excellent. Its all menu dinners, and a little buffet for breakfast but you can order your eggs from the menu. They have a nice market attached right to the resort to buy souvenirs. The Wifi is not great, but it's nice to disconnect. Sunwing was brutal, will not be flying with them again. But if we can find another carrier to get us there we will be back!

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Amazing week

Just returned from 7 days at the Royalton, beautiful resort and just the perfect size (no sore feet !) clean, food was delicious, spa was great, rooms were always clean ! Shows are great, 24 hr room service, grand memories splash was within walking distance although a shuttle runs every 5-10 mins. Nice to have access of both resorts. I 100% will stay here again, don’t mind any of the bad reviews .. can’t please everyone - this place was amazing !

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Beautiful resort!

Absolutely beautiful grounds and beach area! Public areas were impeccably clean and well maintained, including the pool area washrooms which have been less than clean at some other resorts I've seen in the Dominican. I went there with my two sons (18 and 12 years old) and we made use of the pools, arcade, tennis courts and beach area. The beach was stunning and very clean...life guards and security were evident all along the beach and had no difficulty with beach vendors (as I have had in the pa [... read more]st) There is also a water park, and a lazy river at the sister resort Royalton Bavaro which was a ton of fun for all of us! Aqua aerobics and water Zumba were a blast! Food was generally pretty good at the Buffet...always a lot of choice for veggies and fruits...breakfast omelets were excellent and made-to-order. Visited the Italian Restaurant as well as Jade (Asian) and the Steak House which was fabulous! The staff were all friendly and helpful...only complaint in that regard would be the pressure to buy a vacation package...had to say NO 4-5 times before they got the message. Housekeeping staff do an amazing job and were easy to locate if you needed anything. Overall a great experience!

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Overall good

Good stay overall. Staff was lovely, hotel is only a year old and already showing signs of wear. Beach is well taken care of and clean. Only downside is the hounding to by shares by staff - it’s ongoing and quite annoying!

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great resort

Food and restaurant options are abundant. Lots of pools with swim up bars. The beach was just ok. Hotel rooms are excellent and service was also great. There wasn’t enough night life around the resort. Not really a party resort.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great Resort

This resort is beautiful... the facilities are all top notch. The restaurants were great (food occasionally not quite as hot as would have liked but overall very very good). The staff was terrific. We stayed in the hideaway section and it was really nice. There were two nights we were woken by couple who had partied to hard fighting in hall way. I would bring my earplugs just in case tho!!

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Fantastic Resort

We stayed at the Royalton Suites in Cancun and really enjoyed the facility and services. We arrived very late and were able to order room service upon our arrival on our room television 24 hours a day. The resort also has 5 a la carte restaurants that were really good—especially the Mexican and Asian offerings. We dined at each at least three times and every dish we ordered were excellent. The evening entertainment offered a Queen, Micheal Jackson, and Bruno Mars show that we really enj [... read more]oyed. In fact, you did not have to leave the resort to fully enjoy your trip. The resort is safe and well protected yet only a bus ride from the town centre where we bought some souvenirs for friends and families. Overall, I would fully recommend this friends and anyone wanting to enjoy a relaxing time under the sun in this friendly and upscale resort. I will keep my eyes peeled for special pricing here>

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Lovely Family Friendly Resort

I was very happy with this resort as a great destination to take my grand children. We were with our 8 month old grandson. Our concerns about having a baby in the speciality restaurants and any common areas were that we may be out of place and disturb others. I can happily say that our boy was welcomed everywhere. There were so many children and this resort catered to them and their families perfectly. Every staff member made us feel welcome and this made our stay the best it could be. My  [... read more]only concern was the bar service. The bar staff seemed to ignore some customers and cater to others. Looked very much like tipping was the only way to get service. This did not happen in any restaurant. I watched the bar staff ignore a woman beside me for so long that she finally left without being served.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Nice resort

The hotel amenities were very good ...loved the lazy river.....the rooms were very nice.......the buffet was very lacking and the fact we had to wait to be seated was not good ....I didnt like the fact there was only one buffet for breakfast for such a large resort and I didn't like the fact the diamond club would be seated first and we had to wait. Beautifully landscaped and very clean Loved the ala Carte restaurants only downfall is poor service especially at buffet restaurants. Could have more shopping available on resort Beach is pristine and gorgeous.lots of choices for every age

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Terrible experience

Overall, this was not a good experience. The hotel would maybe be a 2.5 rating if that. The people were lovely and kind and they made our time enjoyable. The service was exceptional and that stands out amongst several other countries we’ve visited. That said, we went in expecting not great food, but a lot of it was really bad. I don’t eat a lot of meat, but the veg/starch options were really limited. Both of us got sick on the trip and took Dukoral before we left! The pool - several people cut their feet/legs on the side of the pool as they feel through plastic pieces that lined the pool. Someone was bleeding in the pool and nothing was done about it...super concerning swimming with someone’s bloody foot hanging there. This happened at least 4 times while were there. The worst part were the delays...Sunwing, would never travel with this company again. We were delayed arriving and several hours delayed upon return (flight was supposed to leave Cayo Santa Maria at 5:30pm and didn’t leave until 1:30am. Cockroaches in the Cuban airport crawling up the walls. When I reached out to TripCentral about the delay they were very unhelpful. Overall, not great and would never go back to this resort. It should not be rated a 5 star!

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Royalton Hideaway

Rooms and resort amenities are beautiful i.e., modern upscale decor. Food quality and service at a la carte restaurants was very hit and miss. Portions were small overall. Room service menu choices were very limited, delivery was slow and good quality was just mediocre if that. Guest services staff have poor attitudes - unfriendly and less than helpful. I will not return or recommend the Royalton to my friends or family.
