VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Awesome resort!!

We had the best time! The food was amazing with so much variety, they have the best staff, so nice & polite, we were treated like gold for the week! We will be definitely going back to Gran Ventana!! Also never have been to a resort where it is spotless, the staff are always mopping cleaning, always a maid outside all the public washrooms, so nice to see!

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great Familly Vacation

Great resort with very nice and helpful staff. The food at the buffets was varied and good. The a la carte restaurants were very good although getting reservations at a decent time wasn't the easiest.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Awesome Resort

This was my second time vacationing at the Bavaro Princess. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and are maintained daily. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. If you have any issues you can call guest services and someone comes to look after you right away. It's quite impressive. We enjoyed the food very much...as a result I came home a few kilos heavier ha ha. The staff is friendly and helpful. The beach, what can I say other than wow! The only real issue I had was with the ven [... read more]dors on the beach, they didn't harrass when you said no and they were friendly, they just came around too often...I didn't really consider this an annoyance though. If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation in paradise, this is the place to go.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: 2nd time visit to Fantasía

Being out 2nd visit to this hotel, it continues being a great choice especially for families with kids. That being said, it shows some decline compared to a year ago in terms of buffet variety and a la carte restaurant food quality. Ride from the airport is about 35 mins. The resort is beautiful, very clean throughout, rooms are spacious. Service is great, everyone is very friendly. Still a good choice for a relaxed family vacation.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: 3 star experience at a 5 star Resort

Overall it was a good experience however they don’t clean very well and the food at the pool for lunch is not always cooked. I had to ask 3 times for a blow dryer to be brought to our room. They have room for improvement for sure but it is a very new resort and is still working out it’s flaws.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Unbelievable

Entertainment was fantastic very interactive with guests from morning to night they never stopped had us in stitches can't say enough about them "Bravo" Majority of guests Canadian Felt safe had to switch rooms due to no elevator-desk staff very accommodating Food was excellent

Paradisus Punta Cana: How perfect can it be?

Paradisus was just as good as it has been for the last 5 years only better. We had a perfect holiday thanks to the friendly administration folks and all the staff at this great resort.We sure hope to return next year and once again enjoy the exceptional Royal Service experience.

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Great Vacation

We had a wonderful time at the tropical. Easy check-in, great rooms, beach was amazing, Casablanca was even better than last year. The beach was great and drinks and food serviced right to your beds. No complaints at all.

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Viva wyndham tangerine

This resort was great. Food was decent. Clean resort, service and staff was great. No big line up at the bar. There is a excellent restaurant at the resort thats not included in the all inclusive but is worth going to. Will go back again.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Amazing vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here! Rooms were great, facilities were nice, the pools were perfect and never too busy, and the food was fabulous! We never had any issues. If you are elderly or have a disability you may find it difficult navigating the resort, as there can be a lotttt of stairs in spots, but there are also plenty of elevators (even one straight to the beach), so it's definitely doable, you just need to be strategic. The wait at the main pool bar was a little much at times (even when it wasn't busy), but really, we just did a lap around the pool and returned. The lower pool was always quiet. The upper pool had music and was always relaxing, they didn't start games/entertainment until late afternoon, so it was never an issue. We didn't spend much time at the beach. It's definitely a dug out man-made beach and it's smaller, you can't walk anywhere. It looked fine, but we were quite content with the beautiful cliff views from the pool. We grabbed seats on the right with the beach one day and it was nice and relaxing, but really, we preferred the pool/views. If you're looking for a 'beautiful sandy beach' this isn't the best spot for you, but EVERYTHING ELSE makes up for it, we weren't upset by this at all. The buffet was always delicious, always warm, and I felt like there was enough of a variety throughout the week, we were always very happy. the 3 restaurants were UNBELIEVABLY good, very impressive! There were hardly any children (there's literally nothing for them to do, so it's not a big 'family' resort, which was perfect for us). There weren't any rowdy guests or partying groups. Very relaxing and grateful for our stay here

Occidental Caribe: Wonderful place

Absolute beautiful.Almost magical. The grounds are impeccable. Did not like when I went shopping they took me for one shop,and I felt compelled to buy something.Rather be on my own.The entertainment could be better.why not use the trapeze? Or ballet in the water.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Needs improvement

Not very friendly or helpful.No hot water and power outages without any backup lighting.No mention from any staff what the problems are everyone is just on your own to figure everything out.Not pleased

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: One of the best!

IT was an amazing holiday!!! The resort was beautiful: the servers and housekeepers very friendly and accomodating. The rooms were very clean and maintained. The food was plentiful and tasty without reproach. My grandchildren never wanted for anything. It surely was a five star resort!! AND many thanks to Dianne Newick for all her support and help!

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Fairly Nice Hotel

This resort is in a nice spot. The grounds are kept clean, tidy, neat, landscaped nicely. The food was good; the restaurants nice. The room we had was very nice, even though not in the building when we had booked; the bathroom and shower large and roomy. The beach was very nice. The buildings are nice and clean. The hotel staff was nice and friendly. Once thing, we did not get the building we had requested when we booked, over a month before the trip. We were in Building 4, 3rd flo [... read more]or, with a bit of a view of the ocean and the pool area. It was not too bad. We had expected to be in Building 5 with an ocean view from the upper floor. Another thing, was the number of reps around trying to sell you excursions, or to join their clubs. This was a bit of a bother at times. The pool had no pool bar, which is usually expected in a resort.... A couple of times there were water issues at the resort due to some mechanical or other issue. One time the power was out for a couple hours, so there was no water as well as no power. An issue when needing to use the washroom. Maybe there should be backup generators ......Nightly entertainment for adults was lacking. Not very good at all. The sports bar was not very good. The TVs were small and up high, hard to watch; only saw one on at a time. One evening there was some get together event going on, so you could not even go use the sports bar.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Royal Bravaro

We did have some trouble with one of the restaraunts and miscommunication, it took awhile to solve the issue - even then it wasn’t in our favour. The resort was beautiful but service could be improve.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Large but beautiful resort

This was a large resort. Stayed at the Ambar blue. Couldn't ask for anything nicer, easy access to the pool and right on the ocean. Although, we never got a chance to eat at the al la carte restaurants we never felt that we missed out on anything as we ate at the 3 buffets they have. Different theme night every night and the food was amazing could never go hungry. The entertainment was amazing during the day as well as the evening. The pool staff, the restaurant staff and the maids were terrific never had to ask twice for anything. The rooms were a little outdated but very comfortable. Had no problem sleeping after a hard day of sunbathing.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great Resort

The resort was well laid out, everything was convenient Lots of shade and loungers at the beach, only the early risers could get near the water or the pool The food was amazing, great night life The rooms were very large and clean

Ocean Blue and Sand: Ocean Blue- very nice,

Our three rooms were upgraded to Privlege. Using your butler to book restaurants is so much easier than trying to do this yourself. Makes things so simple. The Restuarants are very good. Buffet was very good. We had no issues with the food at all. The steak house and Italian were our favourite. Mike's coffee is an excellent place to get specialty coffee. The pool is awesome. Entertainment team work very hard everyday to make sure you are having fun. These guys work some long hours. Th [... read more]e beach is great to walk. It seems to go for miles. The Disco was surprising in that it was quite busy which makes it more fun. Lobby bar great place to relax after the shows and continue with more evening entertainment. We have been to many resorts. This is very good. I don't have a complaint. Our room was on the second floor which we prefer. Downside like most resorts, you still need to lay out your towels in the morning or you may not get a chair on the beach or pool side. I did see chairs available though until around 10:00 a.m. which I thought was pretty good. The staff are the most friendly I have ever met at any resort. 20 minutes from the airport Hope this is helpful.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Nice Resort for Reasonable Cost

We stayed at the Grand Bahia San Juan from April 12th to April 22nd. Resort is kept clean, staff are friendly, food is good and pools are very nice. Beach area was ok, darker sand and very very hot on the feet, It is a public beach so there are many vendors waiting to sell you everything from excursions to braided hair and knick knacks. We booked all excursions through our rep and did not have any problem. Jeep Safari tour (8 hour) ($75 usd per person) was excellent as well as the Puerto Plata t [... read more]our (9 hours) ($80 usd per person). We also did the dune buggy's and four wheelers which was fun but definitely not worth the money they charge (3 hours) ($130 usd per person). We had a couple of issues when we first arrived. Mini fridges in both rooms we booked were not working. We called it in and they were both fixed within in 24 hours. We flew down with WestJet and could not have asked for a better rep down there. His name was Lewis, and he was always available to answer all our questions and concerns. Spa is lovely and the ladies are very friendly. Animation team were always around encouraging people to get involved in the daily activities at the pool and on the beach. Only thing that would have been nice would have been a 24 hour bar/snack shop because the bars don't open till 10am.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Disappointed

Check-in and check-out was long and inefficient. Staff were not friendly and they were unorganized. We did not arrive at a busy time and there was 7 of us checking in. Room was the best part of our trip, the renovated loft suite was perfect for our family of 3. Main buffet was not good. A lot of deep fried food and the hours did not work for our family. It opens at 7 am, 12:30 pm - 3 pm and 7 pm for dinner, if anyone has young children I am sure you can sympathize that these hours are not helpfu [... read more]l for eating times. Some days they would not open at all and we found out it was because of an international military conference - which I should mention that staff could have warned guests about. Having a military helicopters land on the resort grounds and seeing military members step out in uniform, and not knowing why was very scary. We ate all our meals at the Palace or the Bravaro. Room service was slow and they made many mistakes with our orders. Pools - good for the morning, very dirty by the afternoon. Beach - no complaints. Kids Club - our kids walked in and walked back out, the staff were loud and aggressive. One actually scared my son who is very used to a daycare setting. All to say, we would go back if we had to but would stay at the Bravero side. It seemed much cleaner, friendlier staff and better food!
