Tropical Deluxe Princess: Don't Be fooled

This hotel is very rundown. Many issues in the room. Large shower leaking from the room above, right through the light fixture. Had matenance in to look at it still leaked. Small shower floods after just a couple of minutes. Wooden door on balcony looks as if it has been kicked in could see everything right through the door frame. Balcony railing not anchored to outside wall. As well as cracks on concrete where the balcony and railing are to be attached. Can be a real safety issue if you are [... read more] not aware. Wires hanging on balcony where a light fixture was, other light not working either. Glass on balcony door almost out of frame every time you opened the door. No handle on door so you must place your hand on glass to open and close. Locks very difficult operate especially if you have hand mobility issues. Outside mini putt very worn condition greens have many tears. Table and chairs in main lobby many of them ready to fall down. Cabinet doors at bar areas falling off hinges. Make it look very cheap. The majority of the staff very friendly. Although you will always have those few whom are not friendly. Our Sunwing rep was unfortunately very arrogant and rude. Major confusion as far as what restaurants were included and what was not. On one occasion waited for Richard for over an hour and a half to help us. He didn't show. Next day tried to talk with him again was told to come back. We came back and waited again for another hour no show. When he finally showed it was time for us to go on our excursion. Still no resolution. That was when we were informed he wouldn't be back until the day we left. Felt very let down. As well as feeling as though we were bothering him. Nice to know that we spent so much time of our vacation waiting on Richard for nothing. Met with another Sunwing rep ( person covering for him) At least she was able to help us find out a few answers. Pools were nice and cleaned regularly. Beach was beautiful. Not very much as far as evening entertainment. Good thing for TV. Most bartenders were awesome as well as restaurant staff. Food not the greatest. Paid a lot of money for this vacation but felt very let down. I have been to the Dominican before and very pleased that time. Not sure I would go back after this experience On a good note our flight to and from the Dominican were good, food was good. We paid for our excursions on the plane and we were glad. We have no issues with our travel agent or our Sunwing flight crew

Blau Natura Park Resort: Best all inclusive we’ve been to!

Really enjoyed everything about the hotel. Food was amazing, tons of selection and really fresh and tasty. Room was gorgeous. Staff was helpful and kind. Beautiful grounds to walk through on your way to and from the buffet back to your room. A stream runs through the middle with peacocks, ducks, and flamingoes. Only downside is the pestering from sales people for excursions and trinkets. I know they have to make money, but 5+ times a day is annoying. Staff very good to work with , grounds were great and well kept, beach not so great many sea weeds but they tried to control great food long distance from airport very good time would recommend VIP pack

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great weather, fabulous pools

Biggest problem right from the start is staff spoke little to no English. my guess is over 95% of resort folks couldn't understand any English at all. room was great for young lovers but for two senior sisters, it posed problems. bed was king size (though I booked 2 queen). you had to use a step stool to enter tub. bed sheets were not changed often enough, face cloths only available on 1 day. for a 4.5 star that just isn't acceptable. the good = tons of pools, great location, weather a [... read more]nd company I went with were a 10+

Excellence Punta Cana: This resort was "Excellent"

The hotel certainly lived up to its name. The staff were exceptional as was our garden view room: No line ups at the restaurants - most were very very good! The grounds were beautiful.. SMOKING !! everywhere except the restaurants. Pool areas, lounge areas - the evening shows even permitted cigar smoking. There should be designated areas for smokers at the resort and those who wish to indulge can go to those areas while the rest of us can enjoy a smoke free vacation!!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome once again

This was my 4th time to this resort "Punta Cana Royal Gold" and was awesome as usual. My family including my 2 children enjoyed the most. The food at main lobby has lots of options with salads and fruits. The swimming at the beach and pool under hot sun is what you dream about. The thing I didn't like was the flies, so make sure bring a spray can with you.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Great resort!

My overall experience at the serinis resort was quite fantastic. I love the pool side the beach the food and drink where really great as well. The only thing I didnt really like was that the resort was more catering to family and I was a single individual. Next time I prefer a more single resort.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great family resort

Had such a beautiful seven days with my family and friends, beautiful beach and pools and night life was great. Perfect destination for family young and old. The resort was only 1/2 hr from the airport which was perfect, food was good especially the steak house and the music was great in the evening.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: A Great Stay Yet Again At Ambar Blue

This the 2nd year in row we stayed at the Ambar Blue in Punta Cana. Took my sister and her better-half on this trip and we had an excellent time. Staff is always accommodating and even booked events for us prior to our arrival. Aritza on Butler Services is the best! She went out of her way to make sure all of our hotel requests were met, a friendly and professional staff member. Weather was beautiful! Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great resort

Had an amazing trip, food was great very friendly staff , only complaint was lots of mosquitoes in room at night, could be because we were on ground level , but overall great place to relax,didn't make it to any shows as we were to tired to go but they seemed like would have been fun

Ocean Blue and Sand: Excellent resort

This is one of the best 4 star resorts I have been too in Punta Cana. The food was great and the Japanese restaurant was the best. The grounds are well kept and the two large pools with swim up bars were great as well. The beaches were clean, the only thing I didn't like we're the barriers in the ocean but I understand why they need to be there but the view is not as nice. The staff were very friendly as well.

Our seven days were simply perfect. From long walks on the gorgeous beach to perfect days at the pool. Amazing staff and friendly service everyday. Would come back in a heartbeat. Next time will be at the Ambar for adults only!!!

This was one of the nicest resorts we have visited. The grounds were so well landscaped and well maintained. The fact that it was small compared to a lot of other resorts was a big plus. We got to know a lot of the staff who were so friendly and funny. This fact also enabled us to make some new friends which made the whole time we spent there amazing. This property is everything you expect from a luxury resort. The buildings and gardens are meticulously maintained. The rooms are very clean, and serviced by polite and accommodating employees. The pool and beach were also well maintained with more than adequate resources. This property also had the largest and most completely equipped gym I have seen at any resort. They were without doubt the most amazing people, who genuinely cared for their guests. I would be remiss if I did not commend Kim Hartlen, who on very short notice was able to locate and secure accommodations for us at this beautiful resort.

It is a very beautiful resort! Really great staff! Nice pools and great beach. Really good selection of restaurants as well. I have no complaints. It's a nice size for the amount of people that stay there. You can find some quieter spots if you want or party spots if that's what you want

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Amazing resort

Staff, food, grounds, pool, beach, rooms. Everything was awesome and clean and well taken care of. Great activities in the day time, also close to towns and excursions. 25 mins from airport! Such a nice resort

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful resort

The food was good, rooms were nice, service excellent, beach and pools awesome. Views were amazing. A la carts excellent. The grounds are well kept. Trip to the town a little stressful people wanting to guide you to different shops as they make a commission from what you buy.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: not a place i would ever return to

We were there for 2 weeks and everything was only ok we always found enough to eat.The place was clean.The beach and weather were awesome.But----------The food was only ever luke warm or cold,beef and pork tough and tasteless.Alot of europeans in resort and they catered to their taste in food.There was never much variety.The resort was understaffed and everything was self serve.We enjoy the staff at other resorts.There were a few there after a few days when they realized we were canadian and we  [... read more]wanted them to be friendly.There were no coffee machines in rooms .We had to pay for our safes.Neither of which we came across before.Our fridge wasnt cold and there were no beverages in itother than 2 water.We lost power 3 times no water one whole afternoon.Irealize this happens sometimes but we had never had before.We went to the spa .That was great.Every night we all got eaten alive by bugs.We all came home will welts on our legs.Also there were alot of familys there with small kids .We should have been warned about that.We all love kids but we didnt want topay 4thousand dollars to spend 2 weeks with them.I think we should have been told that and we would not have went there.Also our room was very old shower was horrible.Animation team were good but once again only a few of them so the inter action with the guests were not what we were used to.We took in a few shows and they were good.As i said we always found something to eat and we enjoyed our 2 wks but nowhere near worth what we paid.Also no irons in room.Its those little things that make a big difference

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Excelente! Loved the Bahia Principe Bouganville

We stayed at the Bahia Principe Bouganville from April 14 to 21, 2018. We were thoroughly impressed with this resort. We stayed at a Barcelo resort last winter in Punta Cana and had somewhat of a bad experience. We will be looking to vacation at a Bahia Principe resort from now on! The service was overall excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Housekeeping services did an excellent job. The animation team works hard to engage the guests and create a fun atmosphere all around. There is n [... read more]o shortage of activities by the pool and entertainment. There are also two other more quiet pools if you prefer quiet time. Every night there is a different show i.e. grammy music show, michael jackson, acrobatics, fire show, beach party etc. That we thought were very well done as well as live music in the lobby and dancing. The food is excellent; there is something for everyone at the buffet. The Don Pablo restaurant is excellent. The grounds are stunningly beautiful and imacculatley kept. There is a golf course on the ocean, tennis courts and cruiser style bicycles that you can take out for a bike ride within the Bahia gated community which is quite large. It's hard to find a negative thing to say really but my only disclaimer would be that if you are more keen on spending your time at the beach jumping in the waves in the ocean then this resort likely isn't for you. That being said, the beach is still beautiful and you can walk quite a ways up and down either side. The Punta Cana beach is much nicer and larger but the positive thing about the beach at Bougainville is that the water is calm which is nice for children and as guests at the Bahia, you have use of kayaks that you can take out in the bay. Also there is nobody coming around to sell you stuff incessantly which makes the beach a very relaxing spot to be. There are tons of palm trees and palapas and places to sit in sun or shade. The entertainment ends at 11:00 p.m. at which time you can go to the disco but the dj plays mostly salsa & Bachata style dominican music which I do enjoy but not everyone does. One suggestion I do have would be to have a theme night or even an hour one night from 11-12 midnight in the disco to play different kinds of music such as American top 40 or hip hop or something like that which might get more people going to the disco. I noticed that a lot of people go to the disco but don't stay long. We can't wait to go to another Bahia Principe resort!
