Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great vacation!

We had a great time first week of Jan 2016. Good food, great entertaining / shows, very nice and dedicated employees at the Kids Club. The only thing that makes me hesitate about this resort is the room. It was very clean, but personally I found it was smelling (because of humidity)

El Dorado Royale: Great resort

This is a higher end resort but not 5 stars. Food was exceptional compared to normal resort standards. did not having to be sat to eat all the time and wait times at restaurants were a problem. Staff and grounds were great. very large resort even with golf cart service its a lot of walking.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing time getting to know Mexico!

Upon arrival to this wonderful facility we were greeted by the marvelous staff who made us feel like we were at home. All hotel grounds are superbly kept and the room service has been fantastic. They provide you with unlimited alcohol for the right price.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great Resort

The resort was very clean, beds very comfortable. The food was good. Really enjoyed the steak house so much we went back twice, ltalian was also good.The staff was very friendly. The tram service was great for getting around. Looking forward to going back.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Wonderful way to begin 2016!!

Excellent vacation! Beach was beautiful,soft white sand and great for long walks! Seaweed issue only one day out of eight, the hotel did a great job at keeping on top of the seaweed. Grounds very clean and week kept! Rooms nice and clean no issue with dampness. Food was excellent and drinks plentiful! Great time would definitely go again.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: An amazingly beautiful resort

We spent 7 days at the Ocean Coral & Turquesa, & couldn't have asked for anything more.. the Ala Carte Restaurants food & SERVICE were excellent, the grounds gorgeous, the room ( we had ocean view) absolutely topnotch.. the fridge constantly stocked, the bathroom with the etched glass breathtaking, a convenient in room safe.. Loved Mr. Mike's coffee, the Mexican, Italian, French ala cartes had excellent food, the buffet restaurants had everything you could think of.. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: fantastic resort

great walkways not slippery when wet. Food was awesome Carlos at breakfast and lunch was great remembered our names after the first time. Had towels animals everyday on the bed, great work Did not care for the French a la cart, other 5 fantastic Did not use the beach

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Perfect getaway!

Just what we needed. Everything was simply perfect. Food was very good, the service from the time we arrived to the day we left was very courteous. The grounds were immaculate and very relaxing. The beach is one of the best we have seen. You can simply just walk into the ocean without having to look at the bottom since it is all beautiful sand. Loved the palm trees where we lounged. Also the noise from the entertainment from the next resort was extremely loud, we could hear it in our room from 9:30 to 11:00 at night. Aside from those two small inconvenients, all in all one of the best places we have been and cannot wait to return.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Love it

good variety food, nice landscaping, very good service , deffinatelly recomended this resort. Very good with families to stay. Little confussing with numbers of villas but after few lost days and nights it was ok. Also cleaning solutions should be done with no smell.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Always A Pleasure

Initial stay was so impressive, we went back a second time. Resort is well kept with a staff that aims to ensure you enjoy your stay. One of the top beaches in the area. Recommend to anyone, you won't be disappointed!! Twenty min from airport, 25 min to playa

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Huge resort!

Rooms were great, staff was very friendly. The only thing I would change is the buffet. There was a lot of variety but it wasn't the best tasting. Other than that it was an amazing vacation and a very beautiful and clean resort

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Great Trip

This is a fantastic place to go and relax. We were there as a couple from Jan 2/16 to Jan 9/16 and we had a wonderful time. Food was very good and the drinks as well. We are beach people and it was the best beach we have been to so far in Mexico. The staff were very friendly and service was very good. We would go back again in a heartbeat.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Pros and Cons

We had an enjoyable stay at Bahia Principe Tulum. There was a great selection of food in the Buffet, the animals roaming the grounds were delightful, the hotel staff were accommodating - we lost our umbrella and they got us another one; there was a leak in the ceiling above the toilet and they quickly came to repair it - and they were quick to call taxis. The service to and from the Resort from the Airport was also very quick and well done. If however, you are expecting someone to come up to you [... read more]r chair on the beach and ask "May I get something for you from the bar?" that never happened as had been my experience on a previous trip to Cancun. Also we found the hours of the breakfast buffet limited. We arrived for breakfast at 10:25 am only to be told breakfast was over and lunch would start only at 12:30 pm. We then went to the Snack Bar, at which time they were putting out trays of food, but we were told we couldn't have any of it until noon. Overall the experience was good but we will try another resort if we go again.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great Vacation

Very well kept. Lovely large resort and lots to do. Nice, friendly staff helpful with all requests. Would recommend swimming shoes for the ocean and to use on any swimming excursions. 15-22 $ US at any market or gift shop.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fantastic Resort

This resort is incredible with very friendly and professional staff and top service. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. All the restaurants including the Buffet deserve top rating for the food, service and ambiance. Beautiful, clean pools and beach with plenty of chairs. Overall this resort exceeded our expectations.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: good resort

lot of walking food is good a la cart medium beach is rocky rooms are so so great eco resort with wildlife not a good place for kids or older people lots of stairs and walking to rooms or restaurants need more beach

Riu Tequila: Best overall resort

We stayed at the Riu Tequila January 11-18, 2016. Of all of the resorts that we have stayed at, 5+ and 3, this one has the best of all the properties that we look for in a vacation. First off I will say that if you go looking for problems, you will find them. Some reviewers complain about age and wear and distance of beach. The restaurants to the left, the outdoor bar, entertainment, sports bar and disco to te right it wasn't loud, it was buzzing with excitement, activity and everyone was smiling. I loved the Mexican feel of the resort, the quaint, greenery covered pathways and a 5 min walk or 2 minute shuttle to the beach was a great way to burn off the excellent food at the buffet. The resort was so close to downtown playa del Carmen and 5th avenue which were great walking and cheap taxi. The beach was fantastic. Well groomed and the sea weed problem was very well taken care of. Not a big deal because we are so lucky to swim in the ocean on a warm day in January! The nexxus tour guide was fantastic. We worked with Alejandra and she suited us to all of our excursions. The only thing we did not enjoy was the coffee. Lucky that there was a Starbucks right around the corner from the entrance. And the resort cat was there to greet us every day!! This resort is reasonably priced, jairus our trip central agent paired us well to this location and we couldn't be happier (even with two solid days of rain-go to rio secreto and xel ha). Go!!

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Great Resort!

Wonderful hotel, friendly staff. Adult section is far from the beach and activities. A lot of the evening entertainment is geared to Children, I would have liked to see more entertainment for adults. These are the only drawbacks of this resort. If you are travelling with children there is a lot to do. All restaurants do not require reservations and are casual dresss, eliminating long lines. Barcelo Maya Colonial: Large resort , plenty of beach chairs

The resort was huge with lots of options for dining, swimming and relaxing. Overall good food and service. Beach was nice with lots of fish and even turtles. The negative I would have to say would be our room. We were ground level & it smelt moldy & musty . We asked to be moved and were told nothing was available.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Excellent Resort.

This is our second time here. Highly recommend. Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful beach, clean rooms. Excellent food. Have been to Excellence in Punta Cana twice, Excellence Riviera Cancun twice and Excellence Playa Mujeres once. Very happy with the Excellence Hotels but prefer Mexico. Have nothing negative to say. We are so happy in fact we are bring our children and grandchildren to the Finest Excellence Hotel in Cancun April 2016. Hoping they are as good as their sister hotels.
