Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: beautiful beach, inconsistent service

I found this hotel way to big for my taste. The Amber Green section was great in the sense that it was Adults Only and much more quiet than other sections. The beach and weather was great. The only negative thing I can comment on is the inconsistent service of the personnel. At meal time the staff at the buffets was very loud, joking and yelling among themselves which in my opinion does not belong in a 5star resort. Not enough supervision of this personnel. This is why I hadn't returned in 15 yrs to Dominican Rep and why despite the beautiful beaches I will not return. Service to me is very important, especially when a hotel claims to be a 5 star one!

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Feels like home

Been there many times got to know everyone from General manager to the gardener. Got to see many of there family’s and the way they live and respect them very much. What makes a hotel a vacation is not just the beach sun and sand it’s what you learn .

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Great Resort

This is our second time at this resort it is always clean and the staff our freindly and willing to help the rooms are clean we had no ploblems with the staff cleaning our room i would recommande this resort to people

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Recent vacation to Cofressi Resort

Nice resort but a bit disappointed based on how it appears on the website. Catered more to the VIP status guests. Entertainment was a big disappointment. There was a beautifully stage on the side we stayed at yet all entertainment was on the opposite side to were we were with seating on rows of gym mats and open to the elements. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. Staff was excellent and very helpful.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing but too big and too busy.

Very clean a bit old needs some work. Great friendly staff good service but maid service didn’t come a few times. Grounds were well kept and pool was clean. Beach is beautiful but looked like spring break too many people.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Beautiful Resort!

This resort is huge so expect to do plenty of walking. There is a train for your convenience. The grounds are very nice and the workers are constantly working to keep the grounds looking lovely. The beach is amazing!! No problem getting lounge chairs but not much shade. There is an adults only pool, kiddies pool and two other large family pools. At times lounge chairs are hard to find. Even at the buffets there was always a variety of foods so you always found something to your liking. There was also a sports bar which was open 24 hrs. Staff was very friendly but very few spoke English. Entertainment at the theatre was typical for a resort but it didn't start until 10 o'clock. The casino was also a fun place! The only negative about resort is check in isn't until three or later and wifi is not free. Wifi in casino is limited.

3rd time at Ambar Green...cleanliness is important and the staff do an amazing job keeping it picture perfect. Some construction going on...but you barely knew that . Food is good..I am a foodie...there is a good selection..no one seems to get sick..like Mexico. I will be returning again for sure.

Riu Palace Macao: wonderful resort

The hotel was just a nice size. food was excellent. The staff were amazing. Very friendly and accomadating. The swim up pool bar was fantastic, with lots of room and seating. Fun activities. The rooms were moderate. Overall an excellent experience. We would travel agaim.

Cayo Levantado Resort: great resort

We were really excited to stay at the resort. When we arrived we were treated to a refreshing beverage and taken to our room. So excited to see our view and our beautiful room. We found the short cut from room 28102 beside the spa through the hotel to lobby. we used it all week. loved the beach and the ability to get a chair anytime of day. the good was excellent and really enjoyed the a la carte don pablo . so delish.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: DISSAPOINTING RESORT.BAD MANAGEMENT

grounds were well kept,and pools were clean .were in junior suite royal golden supreme .which gave us very little in extras for the money, rooms smelled damp and mouldy, could not see beach could however we did see into our neighbour' s bedroom. we spent no time on our patio because of invading their pprivacy .after visiting other bahais .we were very disappointed .everyone could use our facalities but we could not use theirs, .combo of 5 resorts.not well managed at all.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Great Resort!

Lovely little hotel with great pools and beach. We upgraded to preferred status and had a room with a private pool. Pool was nice but mostly in the shade. As preferred, we also had access to a special section of beach with nice shade huts. An added bonus was no saving of chairs until after 9 a.m. As a preferred guest we were able to enjoy a smaller breakfast and lunch buffet which was quite nice. Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing Vacation - Amazing Resort!

After experiencing a bad experience a few years ago in Dominican Republic, we were hesitant to book, but so happy we did!! The food was fantastic at both the a la cartes and buffet, grounds were clean and beautiful - well cared for, rooms were quiet and clean with good amenities, beach was great, beach bar was fantastic, staff at all restaurants and bars were friendly, fun and made you feel welcome! The rooms are connected via courtyards all the way down to the beach on either side of the pools as well as a wide walkway made to accommodate the carts to drive you wherever you want to go on the property, making it accessible for everyone. The beach buffet had wonderful food every day. Overall, this property is well worth the time and money spent there!

We read the reviews and we thought it will be ok, but it wasn't. How could it have 5, 4 stars ? really? Here is what we experienced: Service: 1 star: they assigned us to a room with broken toilet!!! then they didn't try to fix it until evening, because I said : Where will I pee at night if need it? BTW, they didn't fix it, they moved us to another room. Food: 1 star. People, who left 5,4,3 stars reviews, you really need to visit other hotels, even for the same price. I believe nothing will [... read more] be worse than this one. They have 2 buffets with exactly the same food in both. Very limited variety, I mean it: beef - one type and not everyday, pork- one type of a meal and not everyday, chicken - one type and every day, fish - one type and every day. We had lamb one day. That's it for animal protein. Vegetables: White potatoes, carrots, rice, - 2 different meals of those repeating every day, like fried potatoes/white rice/cooked carrots - every day, every day. other veggies only: eggplants, zuccinis, once we had asparagus, spinach (not every day) and no other vegetables. Fruits were : melon, watermelon, papaia and passion fruit - and nothing else. Desert was: 2 types of cookies and about 4 types of other deserts. all the food was very much the same every day. sorry, forgot about the soups: 1 or 2 soups per day, that soup will be served until we finish it, like all the other meals. Restaurants: 1 star: who said there are restaurants? what they do is that they convert the snack-bar to two restaurants by dividing it in the middle in the evening, so one side becomes Italian restaurant and another one is a Steak house. How ... it is? Food there is no good. Also, milk served is only the one made from the powder. I will give you a hint: if you want a real milk go to a bar and ask for a COLD milk, it will be real. Beach: 3 stars- would be the best place of that resort , but...I forgot to say it's a smokers resort - most of the people there smoke, therefore sand is full of cigarettes, not cool. Lot's of shade on the beach because of all the palm trees. The area of shallow waters is quite large and water is warm. Room: 2 stars- shabby, no shampoos, no conditioner (just for me when I didn't bring), one universal liquid soap. One day we didn't have hot water. Tours: do not believe anyone. We went to Paradise Island to snorkel, our tour agent said it's 45 min drive, the hotel said it's 15 min drive, when it was 1.5 hours drive. If I knew I would choose another tour. If I knew I would choose another resort.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Slightly disappointed

This is my second time going to this resort in 2 years. I had such a great vacation here the first time I brought two other couples with me this year. The staff is extremely friendly. The food is some of the best that I have had in Punta Cana. There is lots of work being done on the grounds making everything look beautiful. Sadly the quality of the rooms has decreased drastically since I was last here. I don't mind dated rooms as long as they are clean and functional. This time the condit [... read more]ion of the room we had was beyond acceptable. The curtains were black from dirt and mold with holes in them from being aged. Our patio door would not open. A few days into the trip the other side of the patio door was jammed off the track (I am assuming by the cleaning staff) so was partially open all the time which was concerning for me when they fogged the resort . Our phone didn't work and the batteries died in the safe with all our medication locked inside. Our friends were put in three different rooms within the first 3 days, all of which the air conditioning did not work. Despite all this I still enjoyed my vacation but based on the room conditions alone I would not return here..

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Amazing

The resort was clean, people were friendly and the food was great. The beach could be seen from your room and so can the pool, not much of a walk to anything. Beach was clean, water was clear and warm. The pool was huge and there were afternoon activities put on by the staff. At night there is a variety show also put on by the staff. Very talented people. Food was great there is a snack bar by the beach and a full buffet just a stone throw away that is open for breakfast, lunch and supper.  [... read more] There are also 3 restaurants (A la Cart) on the resort which you had to make reservations for, these were well worth the wait. I would definitely recommend it.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Excellent!

Just got back from a week in April/18. All Great! Excellent food, super clean, Can’t think of too much negative things to say about the resort. Just some things that I would mention: You really need to have lots of $1 US bills ready for tips, from the baggage handlers at the airport, bus drivers and guides, boat helpers, tour guides, butler service at the beach and pools, waiters, waitresses etc. Some of these people, especially those not affiliated with the resort sometime will even reques [... read more]t a tip. It’s better to buy rum and cigars in the hotel gift shop then the duty free at the Samana airport when leaving. Prices are much better. Also, at the departure airport in Samana, other than the $25US lounge, there is only one restaurant available which is very expensive, (example: a hamburger and fries is $16.50 US) . I would suggest possibly making to-go sandwiches at the resort, as long as it will get through airport screening.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Awesome resort - right on the ocean!

The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained - close to airport. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was small, but don't spend much time there, so perfect. Not much gluten free food, however lots of rice. Salads were delicious with lots of variety. The buffet offered some amazing food for every taste bud. Bread and desserts made fresh daily. Great pizza bar. The only recommendation would be to list the ingredients on some dishes as dairy is a problem for me. Wifi is expe [... read more]nsive! There is a great shopping centre across the street with pharmacy, liquor store, souvenirs, etc.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Amazing Vacation

Beautiful hotel and beach. Our room had ocean view. Fantastic!!! Very clean hotel, well kept, great people and service. Going back again for sure. The kids that are 5 and 11 and us had the best time that we spend at the beach and the pool. The entertainment at the pool was fun for all of us.Thank you for the wonderful week.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Very relaxing

This was my first all inclusive experience. I found everything to be great. Rooms were very nice and clean. AC worked fantastic. Our frige was stocked daily and room cleaned. Im a picky eater and i found the food good. I did stick to pizza and sandwiches as other things didn't agree with me. Not a huge bar but was expected as its not a large place. All staff were amazing. My boyfriend and i went there to relax and enoy the sun. And we did exactly that. Only complaint was how people hold chairs with towels at early hours. A sign is up but people ignor this. I don't feel like the staff can do much about this. Its just nasty people!

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Our best vacation yet!

We fell in love with this resort immediately. We enjoyed the service, speed & ease of check in. Our stunning room was a perfect size and well laid out. The resort is the perfect size. A great variety of restaurants and spaces to relax and enjoy. Absolutely impeccable grounds. This resort's claim to fame however is absolutely their staff. Luis, Carlos, Cesar, Emily especially went out of their way to make us feel like family.
