Riu Ocho Rios: Amazing Resort

My wife and I just returned from this resort. We booked a one week stay. If you are looking for a family vacation this is the place to go. Lots of things for the younger generation to do. I found the resort well organized, and very entertaining. The staff from cleaners to bartenders to the entertainment are very hard workers. Hotel was well managed some small issues with housekeeping overall food was good if you eat later it may not be hot beach is small and rocky overall I rate this a four star I would not return to this hotel

Ocean Coral Spring: Mixed reviews

The best feature of this resort is the amazing food and drinks and the restaurant servers. They made the stay great. The hotel rooms were nice. They were clean when we arrived. But slowly downgraded over the coming days as housekeeping did not sweep floor for several days or would take towels and not replace them. It was near impossible to get them replaced. Our room was at the end. Air Transat sold it as an ocean view. But it was partial and the view included a bunch of tents, an open pile of garbage and the venders emptying their bucket of human waste in the bushes. The resort also lacks Jamaican culture. Once on the resort you had no idea you were in Jamaica. No local art, music or culture that I could see. If you like snorkeling however, this is great place. The swim area is full of seaweed and I’m sure in it must be fish. But you’re not so lucky if you like to spend the day in the water. The beach is short but sand is nice. There wasn’t a 24 hour place to get coffee. We are early risers but there no where to get coffee before 7:30 am. They open at 7 am but by the time you get through the line it’s about 30 mins. There are often high pressure sales people bugging you or crowded on walkways chatting causing tourists difficulty getting through. Overall the resort is nice. But service is 3 star at best. Don’t waste your money and go to Cuba or the Dominican. You’ll get a lot more for your money.

Ocean Eden Bay: Very disappointed

I would not return to this resort. It took 3 days to get a hold of our butlers. Had to beg for towels after an all day outing. Returned to the room maid did not replace towels. It took over 3 hours to get towels that night. Restaurants would do well in serving appetizers. But a long wait for main. Recieved cold. Asked to make fresh. Returned to us just warmed up again.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Excellent Place to Relax

The hotel was clean, nice spacious rooms, very friendly staff and well maintained. However, it’s also 2 hours away from the airport which makes the journey very long. Service was excellent but would have preferred more fresh tropical fruits and fresh fruit & vegetable juices. I would recommend this hotel if the additional 2 hour bus journey to the hotel is tolerable.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: BOOK THIS RESORT

If your thinking of booking this Resort JUST BOOK IT This is our second visit and we are blown away our second trip. We did a Birthday Celebration here and they made it sooooo special. We stayed on the Hideaway side and it was perfect. Everything was 5 STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful Beaches with amazing snorkling - They rent masks here for free. The best thing we did was parasailing and we used the Orange boat guys for $50 usd per person. The White Party was by far one of the best nights we had. Bring an all white outfit and get ready for a blast . Bring glow sticks if you can. The Food was fabulous Ocean Point was Stunning and amazing food. Order the pizza to go one evening you have Italian - So worth it after an evening out. Room service Breakfast was great day 4- a little later wake up had us checking out room service . If your Canadain- BRING OUR DOLLAR they LOVE our Money$$$ We bought beer and gifts with our dollar They want it for tips too! The locals shared how oyr dollar is good to them too. We met amazing people for excursions and Cab rides . Also a brownie man who is a legit sell you good stuff because we don’t smoke but eat sometimes.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful resort

The grounds at Bahia Principe Jamaica are well maintained and kept very clean. It was a pleasure looking out of our balcony and seeing the beautiful greenery of the grass, trees and shrubs. Our room had enough towels and we never had to ask for anything extra. There was a large variety of food to satisfy anyone and enough room in the dining area and outside restaurants. The service was excellent but the food was cold a [... read more]nd was still cold after the waiter took it back to warm it up. We ended up leaving and going to the buffet. We didn’t try other a la carte restaurants because it was very hard to get a reservation. All in all it is a beautiful resort and I would definitely recommend it. The staff is very friendly.

Moon Palace Jamaica: We will be back!

Stacy-Ann and Johnoy by the pool, and Dookie and Joseph at Pier 8… Phenomenal service and entertainment! Stacy-Ann was with us every day, and has such a lovely soul. Thank you to all the staff - Very attentive, genuine staff, creating a happy atmosphere for the entire trip. Not to mention the beautiful location and delicious food. 10/10 we will miss you and we will be back !!!

Ocean Eden Bay: Beautiful new resort

Facilities were new and vast majority of staff well trained and very helpful and friendly - especially in the many restaurants and buffet. Evening performances very professionally-produced. Disappointing rocky beach with no opportunity for long beach walks or swimming.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: This has always been my favourite resort, it went above and beyond again!

I stayed on the Luxury side the last week of February 2023. Going in, having read reviews, I was hoping some of the reviews were not accurate. To say the least, I have no idea what there is to complain about. My room was fabulous! Up to date, always clean, with a fabulous view. The food was outstanding everywhere I ate. I was able to book 6 a la cartes, Dolce Vita (with Ken Roy serving us with a smile), The Knife twice (Anthony Palmer - the absolute best server we ran into, remembered  [... read more]us the next night when we were there at Don Pablo and made sure we had the best seat in restaurant even though he was doing the romantic dinners on the beach), Picasso (Nikita outstanding service), Rodizio ( Hushane and Gwayne, were consistently looking after our needs), and Don Pablo (Alex Paddyfoot- who went out of his way to ensure that my birthday meal was everything I could hope for). The River Falls bar had amazing staff as well. Jermaine became my go to guy. As soon as he saw me and I said "whatever" he created drinks that I thoroughly enjoyed. I had a massage on the beach with Kimone, leaving her totally relaxed. The staff at this resort are always going out of their way to make sure that their guests feel welcome an at home while staying with them. My butler, Shanice, made me so happy with the birthday sign on my door, and then birthday wishes spelled out on my bed. The cleanliness of this resort is outstanding. They power wash the pool decks each and every night. There are personnel on the beach cleaning chairs and tables all the time. It was so much fun to again get to snorkel in the "lagoon". I had forgotten how many different kinds of fish there were. One day, much to the delight of those on the beach, there was a small octopus! When my time there came to an end, I really was disappointed that I had not booked a longer stay. I will be back!

Ocean Eden Bay: Good value

Very difficult beach to navigate. Treacherous in the water due to Coral on the bottom. Beach is very windy. Great staff. Friendly. Hardworking. Excellent food. Nice room Entertainment staff great. Zoetry Montego Bay: Fabulous spot for a restful getaway

This hotel is beautifully appointed, and the grounds were immaculately kept by the grounds crew. Staff are amazing: Sandgrian at the Coco Cafe, English in the Polo Club, Kavi and the Recreation coordinator who ran activities, Patricia on the beach, Mark at the poolside bar and Michael Lee who took care of our every need, to name just a few. Riu Reggae: Awesome place

The riu reggae was awesome not one complaint. Good food always hot I don't mean spicy but the spices jerk sauce was there if you desire. The grounds were very clean beach was small but awesome. People friendly and always working hard to make your stay enjoyable. We are seniors and stayed mostly in the quiet end. 2 swim up bars one for quiet 1 for those who want to rock. Pools are huge. Breathless Montego Bay: Average AT BEST

Don't waste your money here. Worst experience in Jamaica - and I've been here many times as a couple and with family. Hotel Grounds / Room : room technology didn't even work properly, jets in tub weren't working (we were in xhale club swimout room). Hotel grounds were always clean and looked nice. Staff: Could use customer service training at front desk. Was not impressed with check in/out and butler service. (Requested two things the entire trip from our butler and he was only able to f [... read more]ulfill one- we asked him to make a dinner reservation and to secure us a cabana ) Staff in dining areas and bar were not exceptional Entertainment staff were fine Cleaning staff was fine Entertainment: they turned the lobby into a club which was cool Food: This hotel boasts 5 restaurants? But there are 3 on site and not everything is open everyday. One location is used as two different restaurants. Ie. The main lobby bar had two stand up islands and that was considered another "restaurant". We went to two different restaurants on different nights and they both had the same menu lol The secrets side had a few more options but the Jerk cart was the only thing that tasted authentic and fresh. The food itself was underwhelming and VERY disappointing and sometimes stale (it felt like room service gave us chicken that was out all day, hard and stale) Rooftop: This is the saving grace of this resort. The view from here is truly beautiful and the sunset was amazing from here. Beach: the beach is located on the secrets side and its decorated with breathless colors and cabanas. There is also a bar on this side but all five days we were there never saw anyone serving drinks. We ended up going to secrets bars to get drinks. Overall I would say this is not a 5star resort and would not come back.

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Nice Resort

Arrived late afternoon and brought promptly to our hut (Gardenview). Was nice, clean but nothing like the pictures. 4 holes in the roof, comfortable king bed, AC worked well. Hot water was not available 2 days out of 10, no fridge in the room (they are listed as standard in every room). We asked for one but it never arrived. For reference, we saw other guests beachfront huts and also the suites which were very nice. The Snack Shack (Beach restaurant) made the best burgers! We had the Caribbean A la Carte one night, and the steak was the best I've had in years. Good Breakfast choices, and plenty of fresh fruits and veggies at all meals. Beaches were very nice, sort of a beach for every mood. The far end always had something fun going on as did the main pool area. Games, Bingo, dancing, Welcome show with a phenomenal saxophone player one day. It was very windy most days which made swimming or snorkeling challenging, but kept you from sweltering. The nightly shows were awesome! A magician enthralled the crowds one night, singers, dancers, contests. Perfect end to the day. The entertainers did a great job, they would engage you or leave you alone - they read people pretty well. The bars were all really great - however they did run out of beer 3 times to the chagrin of some of the beer-only drinkers. They would whip up any type of cocktail you asked for. The Jetty bar was a fun place with every 2nd seat as a swing at the bar. We did not do any excursions - the prices were all in US dollars and seemed very expensive. If you ventured off the resort, there was a gauntlet of private taxi drivers and "party organizers" trying to sell you even more expensive private tours. Found that if you left the resort before 9AM you could avoid them. Let me stress this was our first time in Jamaica so we were learning the ropes. It was an awesome, wonderful vacation and we have a lot to learn about this beautiful island.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Wonderful stay with great servive

We stayed for a week with our family at the end of February. It was very busy time but we still enjoyed all they had to offer. It is a spacious resort with many spaces and beaches so you still feel not crowded. Yes you had to wait a little bit for certain items at meals but that's normal. We were so thankful to Kerri at trip central for all her help booking and getting us a holiday that was stress-free. It was clean and we had an updated room from recent Reno's. Riu Montego Bay: Nice resort

The hotel was clean and the grounds were beautiful. The beach was very small and a lot of sea grass and mud. The food was very good .The airport was a complete nightmare coming into Montego Bay and leaving also .

Riu Montego Bay: Excellent resort

The hotel was spotlessly clean. Rooms were kept stocked for towels daily. If you want washcloths ask for them. They typically do not supply. The entertainment is some of the best I’ve ever seen. There was an endless amount of food and it was all very good. Drinks were plentiful. The beach is small but clean. If you like long walks on the beach you won’t typically find it in Montego Bay.

Overall very happy with this resort. Staff, food, pools, and rooms were great. The beach is not big nor easy to swim in water so that may be the one down side if this is something you are looking for.

Beautiful hotel and room.food great, Poor service and non existent butler service with privilege package. Difficult to book restaurants. We only had a few requests for our butler and she would not respond to our texts. No airport departure information at main lobby, was told to check airtransat app. It’s not on the app.
