Riu Palace Paradise Island: Fantastic Food

Resort was great. The food was excellent and the resort itself was very clean with very attentive staff. There was not a lot of activities or entertainment options though. Try not to book a room on the 15th floor - you can only use 1 of 3 elevators.

Memories Grand Bahama: Amazing food, service and beach

I am not sure why this resort has negative reviews. The only thing not 5 star was the entertainment. Spotless resort and rooms.the food was the best we had ever had at an all inclusive and the beach was amazing.

Memories Grand Bahama: Amazing Beach!

Beautiful white sand beach with crystal clear water. We were able to take the Hobie Cat out 5 times during our stay. Lots of wind most days which is perfect for a sail. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bartenders make a wide variety of drinks to be enjoyed by all. Prop Club plays some really great music and there was lots of singing and dancing. Things that could be improved: Long waits for cutlery and water/tea/coffee to be delivered in the buffet dining area. It is much quicker just to go to the staff station and grab the cutlery yourself. Hot tub was quite cool (same temperature as pool).

The Royal at Atlantis: Absolute perfect family getaway

Amazing resort, there are no words that can describe this place. It's like no other resort on earth. The beaches are unbelievable. The pools at the resort are incredible and there are so many to choose from. If you have kids, it's a must... Forget Florida, go to Bahamas. It's better in the Bahamas!!!

The Royal at Atlantis: Amazing Atlantis

Except the beds the hotel was fabulous. The mattresses were not very comfortable. The room had nice harbor view. The carpets could be a little cleaner. The hotel lobby was fantastic. The pools were gorgeous and of course the Aquaventure park was the best.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Nice place

We were only there for 4 days. They have a beautiful lobby and the rooms were very nice. Our lunch and breakfast buffets were fantastic but the a la carte left a bit to be desired. We found some of the staff to be grumpy and seemed unhappy to be working. The pool bar could really use a face lift and the hot tub was sub standard. The beach was beautiful. We met a lot of great people there and we had a great time but not sure if we would make it back to this particular resort.

I had an amazing trip the resort was clean food was all delicious I don't think I ate anything that I did not like. The lines can get a bit long outside at the restaurants but a little observation and planning that can be avoided as well. The golf was fun and course was ok but being from Canada it was nice to just play. If going to the course bring ur own golf balls! I did and thank gosh cause they are 15$ for 3. Memories Grand Bahama: Great resort.

Overall great place, need to change the approach of the entertainment crew, quite inappropriate. Great beach, great sand, beautiful ocean for swimming in. Good excursions, safe place, great food, friendly, helpful staff.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: First Riu Inclusive

Our biggest decision was to stay at the Atlantis without an all inclusive or the Riu with all meals and drinks. The overall package for one week for two was almost 4000 with flights. The Junior suite ocean view was what we picked based on the website pics. The actual view from our room was a side view and the only thing negative was that we were looking at existing next door roof that was a home for seagulls. Our stay at the RIU was great. We are not big drinkers but the room was stocked with great selections. The Buffet for breakfast was excellent. The dining facilities were very courteous and the staff went out of their way to make your stay special. The quality of the food was good and the biggest disappointment was that the buffet didn't have much in the seafood area. The Majestic Tours were great in getting us back and forth from the airport. I understand that the RIU is going to be renovated next year. The lobby looks great but the whole idea of an ocean view with no obstructions is my biggest disappointment. Some of the main rooms need a facelift but generally the trip was great and the staff was amazing. The use of the hospitality room was good considering they wanted 100 to extend the check out time. The beaches were beautiful and the overall island experience was a great way to celebrate our 40th....

Memories Grand Bahama: Bahamas man!!

this is a very nice Hotel , clean and modern. The food here is so good!! the Steak house and Japenese!! Sushi!! try them all. nice pool, great beach, most friendly people I ve ever stayed with ! We'll be back next year with a group of us.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: The Casual Tourists, Feb. 18 - 25, 2015

I would call it half a holiday. We landed on a wet runway (tense) then watched 4 days of either wind, cloud or cold eat up our vacation. But when the sun finally came out it was hot, hot, hot. I have never seen water so turquoise but the ocean was just too chilly to enter. Our swimsuits hardly got wet, except for Brian's one brave turn around the pool. So, there was no snorkeling either because that meant getting cold again when the first day of warmth arrived. Our boat to the island had 1000 HP so that was exciting enough. Food was good, especially the breakfast buffet, where the smoked salmon, boiled eggs, juicy fresh fruit, grits, cream cheese turnovers and prunes landed on my plate every day. Brian's more of a bacon guy. The only evening entertainment we liked was the piano bar where 8 couples sang their hearts out as big black Dwight hit the keys. Was he good! Boredom was starting to set in by Saturday (the weather) so I insisted we take the #10 bus into Nassau for only $1.25 each (cheapest thing we bought) to explore the straw market (special deal for you darlin'), Bay Street (everything from Gucci to a 125 year-old hat store that hadn't been dusted in 125 years), Anglican church (I wish I had tried the pipe organ) and the harbour where 5 enormous cruise ships were docked. I liked the group of two-wheeled scooters being guided across the street by a guard on a two-wheeled scooter. It looked like a comedy scene from a movie. We were booked for a guided tour the following day to see Fort Charlotte (named after King George lll's wife), the waterfront route (resorts and nice homes), government square (built in 1700's), rum cake factory (white cake soaked in alcohol), 'poor' town (tiny houses), 'rich' town (bigger houses perhaps with a palm tree), T-shirt factory (driver gets an envelope for bringing in the tourists), and back to Sandals for a well-earned marguerita. We dressed up for an evening photo session (to the tune of $57 for 4 shots) but did get one worthy of framing. Pairs of 'butlers' in black tail coats strutted around the resort serving the high-end folk. No worries man; our service was excellent too if you don't count the coffee and dessert coming 5 minutes apart. Hurray! when we found the croquet court, bocci ball, shuffleboard and tennis. Even did billiards before dinner. We tried it all except the karaoke. Brian would not go near that noise. At departure, a steady parade of Rolls Royces and Mercedes picked up folks, some just not fitting the elegant picture with their too casual attire - read 'sloppy'. The staff looked like the celebrities in their spiffy outfits and unique hairdos (wigs on the women) and big gold watches. All in all, a good time had by us both. Photos on request.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: It was all good!!!!

Despite all the bad reviews we have read on line lately ... It was all good. So relax folks!!! The room was nice, the water was hot and clean, the staff was friendly, the food was good, lots of premium booze and the beach was fantastic. Remember ... This is a 3 star hotel ... For that I give them 2 thumbs up. Ramon, our Sunwing rep was fantastic. He was at the hotel from morning til night. He was extremely friendly and helpful!!! He was at the airport when we arrived at 10 pm ... And was there a [... read more]gain when we left at 8 am!!! We would not go back to this Riu because we prefer the quieter resorts but we definitely book thru Sunwing again.

Grand Lucayan Breakers Cay: poor resort not clean, bathroom fan not working.

Restaurants not open most of the time. No live entertainment. Never offered a drink at the pool. Had to line up for over an hour to sign in and had to come back four hours later and line up again for another hour just to receive my room number & key

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Could have been better

Disappointing pool and hot tub. Staff not very accommodating or friendly. Food was good and le a carte's were somewhat good but the staff booking them were not! Beach was nice. Rooms were standard and beds were comfy.

Grand Lucayan Breakers Cay: Great Time.

We spent 7 days at Grand Lucayan in Feb 2015. The grounds of this resort are very nice. Pools were lovely but a bit cold- it would have been nice if they were heated. Food was pretty good at all restaurants. Churchill's was included in our all-inclusive package eventhough through SunWing documentation it was listed as not included. The service at Churchill's was a bit disorganized. It seemed the serving team was unclear just who was taking care of us. The table was not set completely before we s [... read more]at down and service was very slow.AT the end of our meal, they plunked a second bread basket on our table and left...It was meant for another table. The appetizers were not so good but the entrée was very good. Our favorite restaurant was China Beach - excellent service and food is delicious. Iries was also good. The buffet was great for breakfast but the food selection at dinner was not very good. The beach is beautiful and was not crowded at that time. All is all it was a good time.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Unfortunately disappointed.

We spend a heathy sum of money on an oceanfront suite, which looked nice. The down falls were the 10 mins elevator waits, the no hot water in the showers, even after letting the water run for 5 mins to get the "grey" water to run clear. The staff were less than enthusiastic even though we tipped, just didn't feel appreciated. The pool is buried in shade for the majority of the day and it's way too small for the capacity of the hotel and everyone trying to avoid the panhandlers on the beach. On t [... read more]he upside, the food was good and the sweet potato hash browns at breakfast swerve awesome. And it was only a 5 mins walk to Atlantis. Bahamas is a beautiful place. It I would think twice about going back.

Breezes Bahamas: Great resort for a quick girls getaway!

This is a great resort for a quick getaway. It had amazing staff, great food, and a nice beach. It wasn't very crowded when we went and it was 6 girls sharing 2 rooms. The decor and room were slightly outdated but clean and comfortable. The best part of this resort was by far the staff. Always so pleasant and eager to help out any way they can, all the while not looking for a tip either! There aren't many all inclusive resorts in Nassau but this great value!

Memories Grand Bahama: Farewell to Grand Bahamas!

Modern room but very sm bathroom. i missed not having a balcony, you must upgrade at booking time. Public washrooms on the property were always clean and stocked. Nice to have a coffee/tea shop for a sweet & beverage between meals at The Bean. Buffet food excellent, steak house(line up for seatings) excellent, japanese(food cooked on hibachi in front of table for 8) excellent & Italian mediocre. Interesting bar next door at Imries...Bahamian music. Almost non existent poolside& beach drink servi [... read more]ce, but multiple bars where u wait to be served. Table service in buffet was mediocre. Beach was tightly packed with uncomfortable lounge chairs...no privacy! Diamond club got reserved area with lounging beds and lounge chairs...but still tightly packed. Temp 70-75F and sunny...perfect in sun but cool in shade at times. Short ride to airport, sm airport with limited services when flight was 3 hrs late! Parasailing in front of hotel $. Day & nightly entertainment was poor and disappointing. Resort lacks the feel of traditional Carribean...would like more Bahamian music! Wedding setup was nice but not private at all! Dangerous step in lobby between 2 marble floors causing falls and injuries. Children had separate play area but water slide closed. Lots of loungers around pools, no problem getting one.The staff were superficially friendly but didn't go at all beyond that...not like in Cuba! We never got the feel that they wanted us back. Only at the time-share booth! Beware of those friendly faces. Rented a care and toured the island for a day...$168 for van for 6. Parasailed in front of resort. No guided tours$$$$. Cold, cold water in swimming pools. Neat grounds. Not too far to walk to everything around the grounds. Walked the beautiful beach.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Nice resort and hotel

The Riu is a nice and friendly resort, not too far from the airport which was nice and right next door to Atlantis where there are many activities and things to see. The hotel is small with only one pool, which gets no sun after 3-4pm due to where the building is located vs where the sun would set - get down there early if you want a beach chair. The beach is beautiful, with turquoise waters but the weather was not cooperating with us and we were not able to swim and enjoy it as much as we would [... read more] have hoped. I would recommend this resort because it is all inclusive and the Bahamas is very expensive when you do leave the resort in comparison to other Caribbean countries. If you have a late flight inquire for a room extension early as you may not get lucky if you wait and have to spend the entire day without a place to shower/keep your stuff. But overall the food was pretty good, usually, the hotel was kept clean and the staff was nice and helpful and the location of the hotel is great. Great to get away for a few days especially when you live somewhere where the winter months feel endless.

Breezes Bahamas: Amazing 8 nite 9 day stay

We had an amazing vacation at breezes ..not at all what we expected after reading all the negative reviews We were impressed from the time we drove up to the resort Beautiful bright colourful lobby and reception..room was clean spacious and overlooked the ocean and pool..we could see the ships arriving and leaving from our bed Every meal was well prepared presented and delicious from the buffet to the al a carts to the mouthwatering burgers at the grill pool side Can say enough about the staff.. [... read more]friendly ..and always there for all our needs ..funky d and his band were awesome Special thanks to Jeffery Stubbs and the management Oscar..Jason..Joey.angela and Christine Will definatley return ..not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from but they aren't talking about breezes
