Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Would def go back again

Pros: Beautiful hotel. Rooms were quiet, (couldn't hear people in the hallways at nighttime), never heard our neighbours (we were on the 2nd floor). Room was beautiful, enough space, clean, smelt good, nice size bathrooms. I felt that the beds were firm (which I liked) Staff were super friendly, most spoke English very well, and not once did they make us feel like we needed to tip them / tip them more "because they have families to feed" like you find in some other countries Lots of food options [... read more] Drinks were excellent Grounds were kept very clean (staff was always cleaning) ie. no bird poop, no cigarette butts in the sand, etc Unlimited soft serve ice cream at the lunch buffet by the pools... always a plus :) The public washrooms were very clean, and sound proof (TMI I know, sorry, but its true), which makes it comfortable for those who are already uncomfortable using public washrooms Lots of public bathrooms (great for ladies 6 months pregnant like I was) Pools were perfect temp and large Dinning room staff were superb Cons: Not enough chairs pool side I felt that the food was never hot enough * not that this is Riu's problem* but the sand hurts your feet because its not soft sand. If you're looking for a resort where you spend most of your time on the beach, this is not likely the place for you. However, pool side (if you could find a chair) was great. Lots of stairs *not recommended for women six months pregnant ;) **Pro: Not a lot of cons :)** If you have an opportunity, go into town. Took a taxi from the lobby to the marina. *side note* our tour operator with Nexus tours told us it would cost $25USD, I thought this was high, so I asked the front desk and the gentleman that calls the taxi for you and they both told us $14USD. However, on our way home in the airport, a fellow passenger that stayed at the Riu Santa Fe told us that they only had to pay $3USD each way..... I was a little miffed by this. But lesson learned, ask around before getting into a taxi. All in all, I would definitely go back again.

Riu Santa Fe: Impressive but too big

Mega resort. If you have mobility issues, might be a problem as only one building has elevators. If you are on the 4th top floor, you can except to ascend 9 sets of stairs. this fo-called 5 star resort ran out of sparking wine for Mimosa by mid week, pecans for the breakfast cereal bar also disappeared. There is no junior suites at this resort. The beds are actually 3/4 and pushed together to form a king size bed. Lounge chairs in high demand during reading week. Beaches has little beach umbrell [... read more]as and again chairs you had to claim by 8 am or you were out of luck. A la carte restaurants good, food tasty and service impeccable. Area to watch for are uneven cement around the pool ( I fell hard). Lighting poor at night time, so be mindful.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Ok for families and retired couples ONLY

If you have a family or are retired I suppose this would be an ok resort but be forewarned that they roll up the carpet at 10 and the staff are less than friendly. Also be warned that you are at the end of the hotel zone so if you want to go into town you'll be paying for transportation. The west wing was annoying to get to and there is no elevator. This was my 6th trip to Mexico and this was resort scored the lowest of the low. There is zero night life. Front desk staff are not helpful and the  [... read more]bar staff are terrible. If you want a vacation that will numb your senses, stay here. The ONLY positive thing about the resort was the patio of the room. We asked to be transferred and eventually were 3 days later. We paid the difference and ended up at Barceló which was a more enjoyable stay. I would suggest you spend the extra and avoid the frustration of a 1 star resort because that's really what it is. Our saving grace was the WestJet representative 'Rosa' who was helpful in getting us relocated.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Lovely

We just returned from a one week vacation to this resort, the grounds and service are impeccable. The food is generally quite good and there is a lot to choose from. My favorite was having the pasta made fresh to your liking, and it was delicious. The steak at the steakhouse was excellent as long as you ordered the fillet. We did not love the Japanese,however we do not eat sushi. The mexican was decent and the view from here is outstanding. On the downside, the rooms really need some updating, even at least the curtains and bedding, our first room was definitely musty and I coughed the first two nights. We moved to a higher floor closer the the activity pool and it was a lot better. Same decor but I never coughed again. We would go back , the service is amazing, and the wait staff are kind and hard working.

Riu Santa Fe: The best all inclusive I ever been to

Absolutely fantastic,what a gem in western Mexico.From staff to grounds,from food to drinks,from beach to huge pools-PERFECTION PERFECTION PERFECTION !!! I had the time of my live there,very pleasurable stay.I would recommend this to anybody.Would definitely come back there in no time.

Posada Real Los Cabos: Amazing Quiet Comfortable Resort

This is our 2nd yr at Posada Real, very clean ,great grounds,beach area & swming pool, outdoor food service & bar , you could not find friendlier staff anywhere, they remember you from year to year. We will go back next yr if all goes well.

Riu Santa Fe: Nice hotel

Nice, but we noticed a bit of shabbiness in our bottom floor room and on the grounds. It felt like a nice resort that is aging. I have to give credit, though. We expected worse, after a terrible hurricane shredded the area just four months prior, and caused flooding throughout the entire resort. There was barely any sign of the damage this resort incurred. These poor people must have worked around the clock for months, to restore it all. We enjoyed our stay, and our every need was seen to....no  [... read more]complaints from us!

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Real Nice Place at the Riu Palace

Just returned for a 1 week stay and all I can sum up by saying it was breathtaking. From the scenery from our 3rd flr. oceanview room overlooking the grounds, mountains and sunset to the impeccable cleanliness, attentive staff and food I would say this is one of the better resorts I have stayed at and the entire Los Cabos area is a great place to relax

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: great resort

Grounds and public areas were nice and were kept clean. the rooms were good except I did not like the idea of not having a closed door between the wash area and the toilet. Food was good except the out side buffet dining area always had to many birds that would land on your table peck at your food if you left for a minute. The activities people were great and did an excellent job. Should have a sand cleaning machine to clean the front beach area as there are a lot of cig butts,glass from the hur [... read more]ricane and other garbage in the sand.

Pueblo Bonito Rose: great grounds but some problems

The Sunwing flight was changed last minute and added 2 hours plus to the travel time. We had worked very hard to avoid an additional stop and only wanted direct travel. This was very disappointing and annoying. Won't do sunwing again. The hotel grounds and the suite were really nice. The wait staff and cleaners were also very good. The food at breakfast and lunch were good but the dinners were not very good. There may be a problem with their bottled water which had a funny after taste but we dra [... read more]nk a lot of to avoid dehydration. All four of us had a couple of days of tourista. It could have been the water or we started feeling off after the seafood buffet. Not enjoyable for sure.

Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos: Fantastic!

The resort, and this all-inclusive package was fantastic in every respect. Airport Transfers included - 2 couples in a new Suburban - nice! Location - 10 min, $10 roundtrip shuttle to Cabo San Lucas - close but not too close to the action Resort - immaculate and clean! Service - smiles and extremely helpful staff everywhere! Rooms - very nice and extremely clean - we had a deluxe king, looks to me like almost every room has an ocean view, and the view is amazing especially on higher floors Pool  [... read more]Experience - awesome pools, nice chairs, lots of towels to use at your discretion, excellent food and drink delivery to your pool chair Beach - very nice with beach chairs and palapas, but be warned that most of water area is rocky - nice for snorkeling, and there are still places to enter the water and get refreshed. The geography prevents people from outside the resort from accessing the beach area so there are no vendors/non-guests on the beach. Food - 7 eateries, 4 of which are open in the evening. All are a la carte (unless there is a special event) with good variety and reservations are not required (and we only had to wait once in 10 days to be seated). We heard the 24 hr. room service was excellent but we never tried it. Drinks - excellent selection of quality alcohols across many of the major brands, even the house wine was pretty decent (you could buy up if you need nicer wine) Evening Entertainment - a little quiet in this regard, but again not to far away from Cabo San Lucas or San Jose de Cabo if you want to find night life. A perfect relaxing, high quality vacation spot with great access to Cabo San Lucas if you feel the need to party!

Riu Santa Fe: Good vacay with the Famiglia!

We stayed at RIU Los Cabos from Jan29-Feb5 2015. Overall we had a good time! Lately I have been staying at RIU resorts because I love RIU! This resort I found to be huge and beatiful ! I was in building one which was far from the beach. First of all there are no elavators!!!' I travelled with my family and parents who are approx 80 yrs old and they found it extremely tiresome! The waves are eztremely strong pulling u back in ! The food was great but repetitive! Asian and Mexican a al carte was nothing special. My room was clean and staff are super super friendly!!! Riu Santa Fe: Amazing!

Fantastic week away with friends! The Santa Fe has a great party atmosphere, lots to do, the grounds are beautiful. This is my 4th time in Los Cabos, twice at the Palace and twice at the Santa Fe. Definitely recommend this hotel especially for younger couples and groups of friends!

Posada Real Los Cabos: Good clean resort

Great location and layout. All rooms have a nice view of the ocean and easy access to the garden, pool areas and beach. The resort provides access to bottled water in addition to purified water from the taps which was a nice feature. As per many other reviews I have read reviews that state the hotel could use a little updating which is true but it was a nice rustic feel and everything worked and was kept clean. The meals were all buffet style except for room service or the Taco Bar (which serves [... read more] more than tacos) by the pool. All food was good but the only thing was the buffets got a little repetetive some times although there was always new dishes added each meal. The staff were fabulous, very curtious and helpful and for the most part great at english which was helpful due to my lack of spanish. My family and I would definately stay at this resort again.

Royal Solaris: not recommended

Great location close to San Jose and transport to amenities. Rooms are very nice and fridge well stocked. Cleanliness in all interior and exterior areas is outstanding. Staff in all positions are friendly, helpful and go beyond all expectations. Reasons for not fully enjoying this hotel: Food- breakfast is great but goes quickly downhill from there. Tried buffets and a la carte finding all locations below average. Staff did not wear gloves or masks during preparation or serving. Entertainment- a [... read more]ll in spanish/very loud and dragged out/little or no enjoyment for guests. Noise- in all common areas (lounges/restaurants/a la carte) is way beyond bearable. Conversations must be shouted across tables. This appears to be a result of all areas are fully closed in and constructed from cement and brick with no sound suppression.

The grounds, walkways, restaurants & rooms were very clean! It was a beautiful setting. Too many vendors on the beach make it annoying enough not to want to be there. So much smoking...nowhere to breath!

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Great Resort Hotel

After the hurricane ravaged the towns of Cabo SanLucas and San Jose del Cabo....we were hesitant to book a trip there. However, we did and were quite surprised by the condition of the Barceló Resort. They had done a remarkable job in the repairs of the building itself. The grounds were in excellent shape . The beach had changed shape somewhat , but was still a pleasure to relax on. The food , the staff the whole big picture was fantastic. . Don't hesitate to book there.

Royal Solaris: horrible experience

This resort was quite simply the worst I have ever been at. Started out with they could not find our reservation so they put us in an inferior room to be upgraded the following day, next day we had to wait another day. We also met at least 20 people that had same experience. This inferior room even had black mould which they did not clean until next day. the people at front as well as most of the staff did not care or have any clue about customer service. The entertainment by hotel staff was ter [... read more]rible, very amateur. A couple of groups they brought in from outside were good. One day @2 p.m. a breaker tripped so the power was out in half the room, the front desk was notified and we went out for the day. On return, power was still out, fridge defrosted, called front desk and it took someone about two minutes to go reset breaker. The food with the exception of breakfast was horrible!!! Staff made promises they never kept. I could go on and on but definitely never, never stay in another royal solaris

Riu Santa Fe: Great place lots of fun

santa fe was great staff was very nice too all around great place last time we were there we stayed at the palace total different experience santa fe if you want to have party like fun and palace if you want a more catered to feeling less kids and food is better more variety that's what you pay for but both are great in there own way

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing resort!!

Rui Santa Fe is a beautiful resort with good food ! The rooms are spacious and clean. We really enjoyed this resort with it beautiful view of the ocean!! The staff was amazing and very attentive. The only downfall is you cannot swim in the ocean but we went on the Lovers End glass bottom boat to Lover beach and you can swim there.
