Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: FABULOUS Resort

Cofreshi Palm Spring Resort and Spa is a beautiful resort! Lots of pools, beach is great for walking, food is incredible, and our room was immaculent! Service was top notch; very friendly & accommodating. Lots of walking at the resort as it is huge and hilly.

Occidental Punta Cana: Nicely kept!

Nicely kept! The accidental was a very lovely four star resort. The grounds were kept up very nicely. This is a nice size resort not too much walking to get to where you want to go. The beaches are gorgeous! We had the best Ala cart meal we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive at the steakhouse ! Definitely a family resort as there were lots of small children but this did not cause a problem we did not have any air conditioning in the first room we were assigned to and it took two days for u [... read more]s to be moved but once we were that room is fabulous !

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Lots of pools, great staff!

This resort is massive and tons of stairs. Standard rooms are small with King beds however, if you upgrade to the junior suites they are beautiful and huge, highly recommended to book the junior suites!! You pay $20. U.S. Currency a week for the safe on your room which you open with a key. If you want beer in your room or any kind of liquor you must purchase at the lobby store. Water is well stocked in your rooms. Rooms are very clean, beds comfortable. Nice balcony and chairs for every roo [... read more]m. Beach is not long, ocean waters are calm due to a break reef in front of the beach which is nice. Cabanas and lounge chairs everywhere however no huts or loungers on the beach due to the tides come in high. Dining is much better at The Tropical side of the resort. Cassablanca buffet there is much better than The Pearl on the Cofresi side. Staff friendly everywhere and very safe due to security constantly walking the grounds and pool areas. If you are a person who has a hard time walking or in a wheelchair you may want to avoid this resort due to the narrow stairways everywhere and it's built on a hill very steep. However, the weather is beautiful and sunny. I would rate it a three and a half star.

Coral Costa Caribe: great resort not to big just perfect

The place was always super clean the workers there were great the rooms were nice a little problem with plumbing sometimes.the beach was clean pools were also great service excellent a la carte were very good food was good overall a great place to go we would go back.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Awesome resort

The grounds are impeccable there is always someone cleaning, trimming,fixing and so on. The staff for the most part are professional and very friendly. The food is good and plenty of choices even for the fussy eater.The A La Cartes were excellent with superior attention to detail. The bars had premium drinks that was included in our package. The pool was warm and clean. The room service was top notch. The water pressure was not real good but we were on vacation so instead of a 5 minute shower we [... read more] had a 10 minute shower. Lol The rooms are very comfortable,clean and in good condition. The service in the buffet area was slow to non existent we often left without being asked if we would like water,juice or coffee we only ate there at breakfast. We had lunch at the ocean buffet the service there was much better. The only real drawback was that the water in the ocean was not of Carribean quality. We were in a bay with a river dumping into it which caused silt to be stirred up therefore the water was murky but we still used the ocean daily. Overall this is definitely a 4 star resort and would recommend it to anyone but I would disclose the fact of the clarity of the ocean.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Lovely Resort

This new resort is quite lovely and appeals to all age groups - there are many pools and activities for each age in the family. The food at this resort was excellent. However, the service at this resort is good, but it is not speedy - often long waits at bars or when you have a need for your room and it was challenging to get loungers by the pool and beach. Overall, we had a lovely time and would likely return to this resort again.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Definitely not a 5 star

The resort is on a beautiful location, close to the water and the weather is amazing. The resort was older, run down in locations, the food was not very good, was not a fun resort for adults and the main pool was full of families and not adult friendly in any way

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great vacation destination!!!

This resort was fantastic, I was thoroughly satisfied on all aspects of this resort. the staff were so pleasant, polite, always happy, and work so hard to ensure you have a wonderful time at this resort. Food was great always something to eat with tons of options, from the main buffet, pool side buffet, evening restaurants (Japanese, Mexican, Mediterranean) you definitely will not go hungry. The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful View

The Bahia Principe is a beautiful resort situated on top of a cliff overlooking the city of Samana and the Bay of Samana. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are average but provide extra pillows and a blanket. Maid service is okay. we were left on two occasions without wash clothes and towels, the front desk sent the items immediately. The water was warm with a nice sandy bottom. We didn't spend any time at the pool...way too hot for me with no breeze like at the beach. My husband and I had a couples massage...very nice!, and we did the Safari excursion, not bad. Overall, it was a very nice resort and we enjoyed ourselves, however, I contracted Campylobacter while there and I have been home 5 days and still experiencing terrible cramping.

VH Atmosphere: Quiet resort & plenty of relaxation

Quiet resort & plenty of relaxation is the only way to describe VH Atmosphere. We spent 11 days March 31 to April 10 & chose the upgrade VIP package & the Honeymoon suite. The hotel is small and very quiet. The Beach is a nice 8-10 minute walk & they also offer a golf cart (Choose the walk,You probably could use it. I know I did) The beach is clean a clear & offers you a VIP section, The VIP upgrade allows to access to a la carte (2) unlimited. the menu does not change but they have a good va [... read more]riety of food to choose from. The buffet is well stocked & changes every day and has a nice selection. The upgrade also allows you access to the quiet pool. And quiet it is indeed, hard not to fall into a relaxed state. Alberno & Freddy are top notch & at your service. The upstairs lounge is also VIP accessible & a great place to unwind even more Wally is friendly & welcoming. I would also like to say a very special thank you to Oliver our concierge. & a HUGE Thank you to Gregory with the grounds crew he does such an amazing job and far to often we forget to give credit where credit is due.

Punta Cana Princess: Almost like home to us.

This was our eighth visit to the Punta Cana Princess, so it is obvious we like it. The Hotel is fairly small so everything is close by. The staff are very friendly, helpful and cheerful. The rooms, grounds, pool and beach area are clean and well kept. The food has variety and there are four a la carte restaurants to choose from as well as the main buffet. Access to the large resort next door is a bonus and various excursions/tours/activities are available.. On this visit the 'no see um'  [... read more]bugs and mosquitoes were quite bad and many guests, including us, were badly bitten. The Wi Fi could be updated. However, overall it is a great place for a winter getaway.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Loved it

We stayed at the Majestic the week of March 30-April6, 2018 and do not have a single complaint about this resort. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The food was good, and the room was clean. Beautiful beach, never had a problem finding a lounger or a tiki hut for shade. The Colonial Club upgrade is definitely worth it for the private pool. I’d also ask for a ground floor walk out room if we decide to visit this resort again. Definitely a resort [... read more] I would recommend to friends.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Outstanding Resort

This was our second time at this resort. I can’t say enough positive things about the Royal Service, our butler Alex and the restaurants. The private beach and pool for adults only makes for a completely enjoyable and relaxing time. We look forward to returning again next year. I would strongly recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Blue

This hotel was really a five start resort. It was more than we expected, the grounds were imacculate, the rooms were nice and comfortable. We were one minute from the pool and 3 minutes from the beach which was very cleaned. The beach was very nice and we could walk as far as we wanted. The choice of A la Carte restaurants was excellent and there was so many choices of food to choose from at the buffets also. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Confresi Palm Beach

The good: the grounds are lovely with gorgeous mature plants and trees, the pools are hardly ever crowed, some of the staff were warm and friendly and went out of their way to do more, the beach is nice and the water is decent, we ate some good food a few times, our four year old loved the milk The bad: our room had no furniture- two beds, an end table and a chair. No dresser. This meant we had to live out of our suitcases and hoist them onto the beds whenever we needed anything. The chai [... read more]r had bugs living in it. We asked for it to be removed but it never was. The one lamp's switch didn't work so we had to unplug it to turn it off. About 30% of the staff just don't care and hardly acknowledge you. It's clear the management doesn't care either, lots and lots of broken stuff around (like the pulled fire alarm outside of our room), staff say they are forced to work with broken equipment. Visitors are constantly harassed to upgrade and people get outright lied to and basically kidnapped to go on selling tours. We were warned not to take a lift from one of these guys, and even when I said I was ill he would not leave us alone. The resort is nothing but stairs, which isn't portrayed enough. We saw people with canes and strollers really struggling. The family pool has two bars in it which led to a free for all on Saturday, with the DJ playing rap music with f-bombs and N-words and we had to leave with our four year old. The adults only pool has no bars and is always deserted. The children's pool does not allow adults. Messed up system. The buffet is mostly cheap filler foods like rice and beans a couple of different ways, plantain, pumpkin and a fish and a meat. The meat keeps getting recycled: ie. beef on day one becomes beef and sauce on day two, that becomes beef goulash on day three. The resort is opened to locals on the weekends, which means it is suddenly jam packed. The buffet ran out of napkins, bowls and foods. It was hard to find a place to sit. At the pools large groups of locals brought their own music and tried to drown out the resort's music. Everything about this place is loud, no matter where you are you have to shout. The mini fridge is only stocked on the first day - we confirmed this with the front desk. You can't drink the tap water there, so they expect you to take your empty water bottles and get them filled at a bar. Basically, if you haven't upgraded to VIP you get nothing. The mattresses are horrid - I always check for bedbugs when I stay away, and the mattresses were stained and had holes. I wish I hadn't looked. The water temp in the shower would randomly change to scalding hot. Dangerous for little kids. Whenever our upstairs neighbour presumeably showered the pipes made a horrible noise that we had to shout over. The toilet would randomly bubble up what I can only guess was sewer gas. There is also no transportation around the resort unless you are a VIP. The pathways are like roads with staff and guests driving way too fast on golf carts. The ugly - both my husband and four year old daughter spent a night vomiting. We assumed food poisoning (no fever), but later realized that the pool they had been swimming in (by the Frosty bar) was full of bird droppings and the filtration system was not working. Bird feces was floating all over the surface and had sunk and accumulated on the bottom. It stayed like this for the last three days we were there. While my daughter was ill she vomited in her bed (we didn't hear because our neighbour was showering and the sound the pipes made were louder through a closed door than the sound of a child puking), and it fouled the bed. Repeated calls to have housekeeping bring sheets did nothing until my husband personally went to speak to the front desk. Two ladies showed up, with one being obviously angry. My daughter was sleeping in the other bed and this woman was stomping around yelling in Spanish, jerking blankets. On our last day my daughter also got diarrhea which made for an interesting flight home. I have also not been right since.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Pleasantly surprised!!

Went to this resort because we were meeting others there. Heard the beach wasn’t as nice as Punta Cana so a little concerned. No reason to be! The resort was clean, food was good and service was great. While the beach wasn’t the turquoise waves, it was in a quiet cove where we hung out in the water all day. Being Canadian, we don’t worry too much about the color. It was more like a lake - very peaceful and warm.

This hotel has the most beautiful grounds,every day they have gardeners cutting, planting,watering everything is lush and green lots of palm trees and plants on the beach The rooms are cleaned 2x a day morning and evening bar fridge is stocked daily room service is excellent for (food,pillows,room scents) This Ambar blue section has a beautiful beach thick soft sand and plenty of beach chairs ,palapas and a beach bar with Caribbean music playing The buffet is a different theme every day [... read more] for dinner (Asian ,American ,Dominican ,Mexico ,seafood night) best buffet I have had at any resort Many a la cartes to choose from

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Amazing Resort

My family and I have just returned from a week at Be Live. The resort was amazing, just the perfect size, seconds from everything you could need. I have traveled to many resorts and this by far was one of the best, we would definitely stay here again in the future

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Luxurious Resort

The resort was amazing. Super spacious resort, room cleanliness, food quality and restaurant options you got it all and much more. The super long beach was spectacular. I was concerned that it would be crowded or too busy since the resort could accommodate so many people, but I was so surprised that this was not the case. I think I preferred the huge resort, giving you so many options, different bar locations or seating areas where you can be in an areas with very little people.
