The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Beautiful Resort

The grounds, public places & rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable and rooms quiet. A little disappointed in the beach, had alot of rock on the shore as well as in the water, and some seaweed as well. You definitely should wear water shoes when in the water. Most restaurants were buffet with some things made to order which were good. The 3 restaurants that you had to make reservations for were Italian, Mediterranean and Thai. They were not buffet and they were top notch chef quality!! Th [... read more]e unheated pools were always clean and all staff was very friendly and helpful. The shows at night were very entertaining!! They have a gin bar and a tequila bar which you could drink almost anything which was free with the all inclusive. No matter where you were on the resort you could have any drink you wanted. Lots of things to do like pickle ball, tennis, yoga, aqua fit, table tennis. There was also dancing at a roof top bar. Also massages which were extra. The weather was perfect....85ish with some humidity and very little rain. Didn't have to pay for anything unless you went into a store. Best to bring some Pesos for tipping. All in all the Resort was very beautiful and you felt very safe!! First experience with an all-inclusive and it was an amazing one!!

KLR The City Condos by Sercotel: Great Condo

The condo is located in a good location where you can walk to the main strip and yet be away from the noise, lots of great local restaurants in the area too. Only down side would be the European Meal plan as its a coffee and muffin so for those who don't want that selection every day it's not a great selection!

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Sales Sales Sales

The resort was excellent except for the incessant sales pitches.We could not sit in the lobby or approach the stairs without being offered something "FREE" in order to attend a 120 minute sales presentation. Saying "NO" didn't help because we would get offered something else.The other staff members were all very polite and always pleasant.Food was good/room was immaculate.I would recommend this resort,,just say NO and keep walking. Gates at Toronto airport closed earlier and we missed our fligh [... read more]t. Had to pay extra to fly into Cancun and was told we had to find our way to Cozumel. Had no help from anyone. Called and left a message to the travel agency asking for help and no one called us back.This was our first trip to Mexico.The courtesy of a call back offering some assistance was all that we wanted.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Don’t waste your money

We decided to go to Royal DeCameron, Los Cabos as we have been to same hotel in PV on a few occasions and quite enjoyed it and felt that it had some Mexican Charm to it so thought the Los Cabos resort would be similar. Check in was easy with great front end staff. No problems there. Got to our room, unpacked and went to have shower. The shower head was just hanging from wall with water ‘dribbling’ out of it. Balcony door lock was also hanging loosely and would not lock. Went to mai [... read more]n reception to ask for another room. No problem. They had someone take us to a new room to check it out before we moved which was great. Our question was why they would put guests in a room they knew was not functional? The bonus with the new room is we could sit out on our balcony and watch the nightly show which was located in our section of hotel. Maid service was good but after a week we actually had to go reception to ask for a sheet change as it appears they only did it when you left ( we were there for 2 weeks).br /> Pool(s) were not heated. Four days there was no-one in the pools because they were too cold. Of course you could not swim in ocean due to undertow. Beach vendors pretty much leave you alone. Breakfast at buffet always good...eggs, pancakes, etc. Lunch at LaLuna usually good. Buffet was just ok (we are not fussy at all but there was always something you could eat) LaLuna (the only a la carte) was hit or miss. It was like they pre-cooked the food and 50% of the time the food was stone cold. In 18 years of doing all inclusives, we have never had such terrible wine. It was foul. We had to go to the COMER store to purchase our own wine to take for dinner. We were not the only ones. You had to book La Luna by 8:00am to make a reservation every day. The bars were not the greatest as one would close and then you would have to go to another one. There were 3 bars. Walking around the area outside if hotel was very nice. Loved the bike lanes even though they were seldom used. Very clean streets around the area. Very pedestrian friendly. Most of the bar tenders and servers were great. For us especially America and Rodrigo (snack/lunch servers at La Luna),Pedro also known as Junior (La Luna excellent daytime bartender), Marcelo at buffet at La Luna is a great, lovable, friendly character. Very honourable mention goes to Omar at the pool bar who is an excellent bartender and is adept at handling “overdrinkers”. As there are safes in the rooms, charging extra for their use is just a money grab. WiFi, for which we paid $10 US for 1 day, sort of worked in the lobby and was so irregular in our room as to be practically useless. I din’t Think we will ever go back to this resort nor recommend it to anyone.

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Most wonderful Staff

This is a beautiful resort that is thoughtfully and beautifully laid out. There was always a corner with a chair or lounger that had a lovely view and the wait staff were always available to ask if there was anything you needed. It blew me away that after only one day we were greeted by name by several people! The rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds, a spacious bathroom and great amenities. The motion sensor lights came on at night when you go to the bathroom which was a bit annoy [... read more]ing but others suggested bringing stickers or tape to cover them up. It was truly relaxing to lie out n the balcony on either of the 2 daybeds or to sit in the chair and just enjoy the air and the view. The food was very good to super depending on your tastes and which of the many restaurants you go to. We really enjoyed not having to make reservations and not wearing wristbands. My husband would have liked either a Canadian or BBC news channel to stay informed. Overall, it was the staff that made this trip feel like a true pampering holiday.

Barcelo Huatulco: Beaufiful but some challenges

Huatulco is a beautiful area, safe with amazing people. The Barcelo is clean with wonderful people who work there. The challenges were lining up every morning at 8 am, as hotel services opened at 9am to book an a la carte dinner for that night. Reservations are only made day of for the a la cartes. This is really a waste of your morning as sometimes the line up ran through the lobby. The second challenge is there are no towel cards. You can take as many towels as you want. So people cover mul [... read more]tiple chairs around the pool and beach area with many towels. If you come down at 8 am to find a chair they are all taken with a towel. Sometimes nobody even shows up all day. This is very frustrating and should be monitored by the resort. The food was ok at the resort. Not great but ok. Sometimes items ran out like, butter, cream for coffee, jam and guacamole etc.

Riu Flamingos: Good

Hotel was great Sunwing sucks both times I flew with them my luggage was gone through first time I had two red locks arrived at hotel with one red and one gold second time we bought tea combination locks upon arriving missing one lock. Both times no paper in suitcase explaining why never flying Sunwing again

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Really loved the resort

The resort was amazing. The pool swim up bar's were very convenient. The staff and how clean they kept the place was impressive. The staff was so friendly. They would help you with anything needed. I'd definitely go back.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing Resort

It was a big resort but it didn't feel crowded. With everything well spaced out, you were never crowded. The beach was nice; bar close by, towel hut and food was available. The A La Carte Restaurant were superb, great food and great selections. As well as the buffet. The kids club was handy. The mall with the disco (free free free) was all part of the all inclusive. The shuttles to and fro was a godsend. Very clean and lots of hot water in the rooms. FYI: Do not take the "free" shuttl [... read more]e to Del Carmen. It's only a 20 minute drive, it took us 3 hrs. They do a stop at a jewelry store and then to the tequila store. They drop you off and then you have to wait for your shuttle to come back to pick you up to take you to Del Carmen.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Great Resort!!!!

This was our first all- inclusive vacation and thanks to Lisa for all the time spent helping us decide, we had an unforgettable holiday. The staff was amazing and each time any of them passed,you were greeted with “OLA”. The grounds were beautiful and everything was spotless. Rooms were gorgeous with all the amenities you could ever need. We never had a bad meal the entire week from room service to fine dining! If you wanted beach activities and music during the day or a quiet place on a comfy lounger to read a book or just relax, there was always a spot. Nightly entertainment and 2 special event dinners were excellent. Very easy to book a side trip to Tulum. (Highly recommend) Only complaint heard from anyone there was the coffee in the restaurants. Majority of people went to the Aroma Cafe daily and would bring their coffee to restaurant of choice. Many people we met were repeat patrons of Excellence Riviera or if their first time were already planning on going back. Thanks Trip Central and Lisa for helping us choose Excellence Riviera! We truly were pampered and had a relaxing week.

cons Buffet not great. Not much variety and often not very hot. Beach area peddlers constantly asking if we wanted anything. No pool swim up bar. No drink service pool side or on beach. Had to book ala cart each day around 7 am. Pros Super clean resort. Staff constantly cleaning. Grounds were well taken care of. Pool side snack shack awesome with great service from Manuel. Bar tenders very friendly and sometimes entertaining. Buffet staff very efficient and quick to serve.  [... read more]Found very little issue with language barrier. Could always find someone that speaks English. Resort was easy to to navigate. Security was good. Never felt unsafe.

Paradisus Cancun: Great Time at Paradisus Cancun

Beautiful, clean resort. Quite close to airport, so shuttle ride was not long. Great beach, you can walk for miles in either diection. Pools were spacious, one was heated which was nice. Food was very good, lots of choice. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Room was very nice. Balcony was a good size & very private, with nice view.

Riu Flamingos: 8/10

We found the resort to be awesome! This was our 2nd visit to this resort! First off, the area of Nuevo Vallarta is wonderful….so clean and safe to go for long long walks. Would stay there in a heart beat. The Riu Jalisco was also great….We only had one complaint our room was never clean. The guy tried for sure, but the first night, I stripped the bed and pillow cases and got someone to put fresh bedding on. There was someone else sand in our bed and the floors made my black socks di [... read more]rty. We had to ask for bath towels 3 times in a week. But still we tipped 50 pesos a night and still a pi$$ poor clean job. I will write the Riu and mention this issue... But other than that it was great!

Riu Palace Baja California: Top Notch Resort

I stayed for a week in January with my brother. Everything from the smooth check in our room, the food, the grounds, staff and cleanliness of the resort was fantastic. I would highly recommend the Riu Baja California in Cabos San Lucas as a destination to visit.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: A clean lovely resort

A nice friendly clean enjoyable resort . Family friendly with a kids pool , adult pool and swim up bar. The garden view rooms overlooked the pool areas and each had a hamock and own table and chairs. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing resort

Resort was amazing with all the facilities and staff, I would definitely come back again to it if I have a chance to The resort is so relaxing and it have so many places to stay at and chill for a vacation Only thing we were not happy with is the room, it was a bit old and the room was dammed and the AC was not working properly, room service did not change the towels as requested and required is to call on many occasions to get the new face towels

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Excellent cuisine choices !

Lovely place , nice location on the beach , cafes buffet , bbq cooking by the pool and 5 al carte were super!!!something for all The evening shows were well done Large complex with beautifully maintained grounds

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: No the best option

You can’t swim in the sea because has a lot of rocks, very small area where you can go in... Food is not very good.in the buffet area .. as same as Gourmet restaurants. Poor variety and quality in food and beverages. they didn’t put new hands soap bar in three days until we ask for. Toilet has a water leak, never came to repair it.

Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Nice resort

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Fantastic spot

Hotel and grounds meticulously maintained. Variety of food choices for anyone. Great choices of alcohol. Beach and pools perfect. Staff very helpful and service perfect. Rooms perfect. Close to 5th avenue. Entertainment very professional and enjoyable.
