Air canada made this trip prety bad for us , we took our flight to toronto a day early befor our transfer flight to mexico so that we could go visit toronto , cn tower etc.. arrived in toronto saturday night went to get our luggage following everyone who also came from our plane , we waited close to one hour befor the belt with the luggage started moving , only one bag came out , waited and waited thought maybe it was a little delayed , finaly we went to ask the worker and gave us the run around [... read more] for 20 minutes untill they finaly told us all our luggage was sent to montreal instead of toronto and that it would arrive to toronto at 8am the following day so at that time its close to midnight we decided to just go to the hotel because the night was done , we got up early to go make sure we got our luggage befor our transfer flight to mexico , got there still no luggage they said should be here at 12pm , kept waiting still nothing , finaly after waiting untill we had to board our plane to mexico they still had no answer , arrived at the resort we spend 3 days with nothing , dealing with air canada trying to find our luggage after paying so much money for this trip , we lost our night in toronto and lost almost 3 days enjoying our trip , but after this air canada nightmare our luggage finaly showed up with a couple days left of our trip so we made the best of it , the resort was amazing the staff was awesome verry friendly , loved the seadoos that where right on the beach at the resort ! Not one complaint on the resort , food was great !! Hopefully air canada can find a way to make it right for making the start of our vacation a nightmare !!

Riu Palace Baja California: Beauty Resort!

This was our first time ever in Mexico and we are seasoned travellers... what else can I say but AMAZING! Staff, food, rooms, pools, the view...unreal! We will go back for sure. The Riu got this one right for sure!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Our family trip

As far as 1st impressions go, the resort was lacking the "wow" factor as we entered through the reception area. Not only was the lobby plain in appearance, we also did not get greeted with the typical welcome with a complimentary beverage, etc...rather we were told about extra costs for losing towel cards and that we would be charged an "environmental" tax...not necessarily the best first impression. Fortunately this was the only real questionable element we dealt with aside from a few Conc [... read more]ierge ladies who did not follow through with some requests even though they confirmed the requests. Again, these elements were the only real issues. The resort is fantastic - our suite was spectacular and the restaurants were all top notch. Service at all of the facilities was also very professional and friendly. Entertainment could have been (much) better but not a big issue for our family.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great vacation

It is a beautiful resort. We appreciated the adult only setting. Would have liked to have more adult only restaurants. Service in restaurants and at the pool was excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Good time

It was a good time, everything was spread out so lots of walking, lobby closed early every night. Good food, overall 3.5/5 would probably go back with better footwear. Staff was good to deal with, should be provided with a map of everything included including sister resorts.pool was colder than the ocean.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Hotel has seen better days

The hotel itself was not what I had expected from the photos. It was actually quite ran down in certain areas. Our room had a bad musty odor. The ceiling started to leak on my bed in the middle of the night. Which continued until the ceiling actually crumbled down onto the floor and bed. They did switch us to a suite which unfortunately when I went to shower had overflowed over the entire floor and into the hallway and down the elevator. This had to be repaired also. There should have been more carts picking up the tourists on the grounds because the wait was quite long in between pickups. Entertainment was satisfactory but could have had a disco going later into the evening. Pools were not bad. The beach chairs were not the most comfortable. Beach was disappointing.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Place to be

I had a nice room, I liked the food and the staff were great. Lots of stuff to do and a nice beach to hangout on. It's hard to find hot sauces in the buffet for some reason. The sports bar could be open longer and karaoke could run longer.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Great resort

We loved the small feel to the resort. The buildings are hidden behind the trees and the walk to the beach is just beautiful. The resort offers variety of cuisines and the food is excellent in all! You can relax in the spacious and cozy looking lobby or at the bar by the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

TRS Coral: Lacking Attention to Detail

We stayed at TRS Coral in January for 10 days. The rooms are beautiful, the grounds are well maintained, and most staff members work very hard to make your vacation memorable. Our butlers were helpful with anything we needed including making our reservations. Our mini fridge was to be restocked daily with water, soft drinks, snacks and water, but we were lucky if it was done every 2-3 days. We often had to call our butler to get water for us. We also asked if we could have different brands of  [... read more]alcohol such as Bailey's in our room instead of vodka, but was told no. We later met other guests that got Baileys no problem. We had asked for a room on the sunny side of the resort in building 1 or 2 and also to be away from the elevator. Our room was in building 1 on the shady side and right next to the elevator. If we wanted a room with sun, they wanted $500 US extra for the 10 days. This was not advertised on their site. We decided to stay put rather than have to pack and unpack again. The "Travel Club (aka timeshare) reps were very pushy at arrival and called us several times for a free tour, which we declined. The highlight of our trip was the Chic Cabare. It's a 3 hour dinner show full of incredible singers and dancers. Our waiter Israel (aka Brad Pitt) was a pleasure to deal with. It was frustrating to have to make reservations for dinner so far in advance. On the TRS side, we enjoyed Tapeo and La Boheme for dinner and Capriccio was only open for breakfast. Helios and El Gaucho was a big disappointment. The best way to describe it was chaotic. There was a long wait for dinner to arrive and when it did, it was the wrong order. Our white wine was served room temperature as well. The Grand Palladium dinners at Grand Palladium side were excellent with attention to detail from the wait staff. The TRS pool had plenty of loungers available and no need to play the towel game, but the beach does. The pool plays the same techno tunes all day from 8am to 8 pm and in the afternoons there was some entertainers who performed for a short while, who were very good. But the DJ's just played the monotonous tunes louder in the the afternoon with no interaction with the guests in the pool. We've been to Excellence Resorts and Couples and so far this resort does not stand up to the customer service and attention to detail that they have. Some day it might be considered a 5 star and a "World Leading Hotel" as they advertise, but at this point it is definitely not, especially the price we paid.

Temptation Resort & Spa: Amazing Adult Resort

Am Rea Ramjass I Will recommend all my friend an family to Temptation it's the best vacation in my life all services was excellent no complains shows super grate ever with all the rain show must go on excellent am comming back for my birthday January 19th 2020 I have no regrets most amezing holiday in my entire life Thanks Again Temptation

Fontan Ixtapa: Great location; decent resort.

The location of the resort is great; close to shopping and restaurants and the beach is fabulous. The food is mediocre and the renovated rooms are very nice. we heard the un-renovated rooms aren't that nice. there are plenty of events and I really liked that the resort is smaller. there definitely are not enough pool chairs for everyone staying at the resort so it's best to be down to the pool early (8 am) to reserve chairs. we were in tower C on the 8th floor and had a partial ocean view [... read more], it was very nice. it was not noisy and we faced east so got the morning sun which was really nice. the bed was super comfy and the room was very well-kept by the cleaning staff. there are water jugs on each floor which was very nice. the hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating; a very pleasant experience. the hotel staff work VERY hard to make sure the guests are taken care of...they do not stop!

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Good Vacation but won't be back.

We stayed here 2 years ago and couldn't wait to go back. Unfortunately we were disappointed and probably won't go back. Not to say we didn't have a good time, we did but there have been a number of changes that have changed our opinions. First the good. The staff. You don't get any better service anywhere. They have a fantastic gym with equipment that works and free wifi. The snorkeling is also great right off of the beach although I would recommend water shoes. The specialty restaurants are also fantastic and worth going to. The rooms are basic, but super clean, the fridge always stocked and the air-conditioning works which is fantastic. Now for the not so good. The buffet is the smallest we have ever encountered. 2 years ago this was not a problem as the food they offered was themed up each night and very good. This year it was the same food each night......very slim pickings. No fresh cook station except a taco station most nights, no pasta station or stir fry station......just what was in the hot warmers. The other disappointment was the evening entertainment. 2 years ago it was fantastic. This year very very poor. Again, not a bad vacation, we did enjoy ourselves, but feel that the food and entertainment could be so much better.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Awesome Resort

The hotel was clean, inviting and revitalizing. Rooms are clean twice daily so it’s refreshments restock daily. Hotel staffs, from the front desk, hospitality, concierge and room services were respectful and open. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Flamingo Cancun Resort: Great stay

Really enjoyed the stay. Armondo and Erving were fantastic, we were never thirsty. Food was less than desireable and very limited selection at the buffet. Never saw breakfast meat in 7 mornings accept cut up hot dogs.. Not into pork stew for breakfast. Accommodations were very good.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Exceeded Our Expectations

The resort is beautifully appointed in guest rooms and communal rooms. Restaurants were very good except we did not like the Japanese one. We were kept waiting for 45 min. before they started cooking and in the end the food was over cooked. The staff is very well trained and most helpful. We had Star Prestige upgrade and was very good. Every day they asked if we were OK or could they do more. Although we did not golf we were told that the course was beautiful. You get a complimentary roun [... read more]d with every 2 night stay if you have Star Prestige. This is the best all inclusive resort we have stayed and we will definitely go back.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Beautiful resort but..

Gorgeous resort with lots of pools, loved the flamingos! The beach was ok, lots of seaweed hard to walk the beach if that's something you love to do (also smelly). A lot of the resort staff had a hard time understanding English which was frustrating when trying to ask questions about the menu or even make a drink order. They also seemed to be short staffed the bars usually only had one bartender and it was busy and would take forever to get a drink. Not being able to use things that you could before just because your not a member is pretty disappointing. I dont appreciate constantly trying to be sold on being a member, not sure I will ever visit another Palladium resort just for that reason alone. It was awesome you could eat at an al a cart every night after doing buffet for breakfast and lunch it was a really nice touch.

The hotel was good but I have been to better ones in the Mayan Riviera. Some disappointment in the meals ordered. Entertainment was limited, have experienced better, we enjoy dancing to live bands or even listening to live music. Maid service was good. Drinks were also very good with a good selection. Staff at the hotel were very accommodating and friendly. I guess we are fortunate to have experienced better. We went with a group of 14. Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great resort for families

This hotel is in the middle of a lush jungle type setting. Great for families with small children. Lots of activities and ankids club. The super saver rooms are furthest from the beach and do not offer wifi. Be prepared to upgrade your room if this is something that is important to you. Rooms have a large cooler for drinking water which was great!! No tubs in the room for bathing the littles though.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Fantastic Hotel

Don’t believe the negative reviews!! Booked the resort and then started to see a lot of negative reviews so I was really nervous but those nerves were quickly calmed. The resort is beautiful. The main building and large pools are no and in amazing condition. Our room was huge with a living area and separate bedroom area. The food was good (very typical Mexican resort food). Staff was very friendly and very accommodating. My only negatives are lack of seating at the pools and beach [... read more]. Yes you have to get up early to reserve pool or beach chairs. They say you aren’t allowed but everyone does it so to ensure you get seats you need to reserve early. This is the same at every Mexican resort I have been to. Also the service in the al la cart restaurants can be very slow. We loved the resort and would definitely go back.

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Great resort for families or couples

There are so many choices for dinner and specialty restaurants also open at lunch. The beach is not great but the pools make up for it. There are a few heated pools at the grand by the ocean. The rooms are big! Clean and well stocked with good beer like Corona.... And the best flavored peanuts, salt and lemon.
