Blau Varadero: A little taste of Varadero

The experience was definitely one to remember. Had the opportunity to enjoy the adventures with a small group of close friends where we had a wide range of activities to explore from. Some of these extras included Snorkeling (cheap excursion), Beach Volleyball, Kayaking, Windsurfing, Shooting Range, Archery and lots more! The water and weather were both relaxing and hits you with the reality that you are on vacation. This is a great hotel to escape with a good price tag, you are definitely getting your money's worth with a trip to Blau.

Palma Real: 2nd time here!

Great for singles or people who like to party. We made a ton of friends and had a blast. A minute walk to the beach. Downtown market and nightlife is in walking distance. Food was good, rooms were clean:)

Hotel Bella Costa: very good

very nice, well served. staffs were nice, every information was available. food is plenty, available all 24 hrs. anything and everything that i needed i got without any hassle. residents were nice. environment was calm and quite.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Great resort, great staff !!!

The resort was clean, lots of flowers, nice pools, the restaurants are great and the staff is superb. We took the Diamond Club upgrade; worth it. The beach is to die for although due to the size of this resort, it can take up to 10-12 minutes walk from the Lobby; but you can take a cart (if not full).

Hotel Villa Cuba: Completely Underrated

Apart from the weather I absolutely loved our trip to Villa Cuba. This resort may have a few years on it but what is inspiring is that they keep doing maintenance on it to make sure people enjoy their stay. The service at the resort was fantastic and the food quality was one of the best I have ever experienced. When I travel to a resort the one thing I am very picky about is the beach and this one didn't disappoint. The hotel staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Allways come back

I am always pleased with this resort the reasons are its location and its not to big and its right on the beach. I have stayed at other resorts but I always come back. The one thing and only thing that really bothered me was at the bar and I watch as they clean the glasses and cups, it looks to me as they just rinse the glasses and reuse them again no soap. Melia Las Antillas: Relaxed Resort

We had a great week at Melia Las Antillas Resort. It was very relax and We had a wonderful time. The standard in the hotel were very high both inside and outside. There were day and night time entertainment. The staffs were very polite and helpful. The food was nice. We especially liked the Italian Restaurant. We thank you Melia Las Antillas to let us have a wonderful time. We would definitely come back in the near future.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Cuba - Our 5th trip

Iberostar Tainos is a smaller resort than all the resorts we previously stayed at Varadera and Cayo Santa Maria but the experience at Tainos was just as great. We enjoyed having the dining areas and the beach being so closed to our room. Love the fact that people did not leave their towels on the beach chairs to reserve their spots and not showing up till noon hour. We were able to find a spot everyday under a beach canopy. The gardeners/grounds keepers kept the resort so beautiful - sincere appreciation to all of you! I like the fact that we can exchange our money without the long line up like we experienced at another resort in Cayo Santa Maria. The room was kept neat and clean and we are thankful for the work our chambermaid Any did for us. It would have been great if the fridge could be restock everyday rather than every other day. It would have been nice if more drinks could be refill rather than just two cans of beer and pop each + a big bottle of water. We did not touch the pop as I do not drink pop nor beer. Hopefully, the main elevators are fixed by now as we had to use a small service elevator throughout the week we were there. The food was average and there was a good selection to choose from. I know people complain about the food but we thought the food was good enough for us as they do not have a lot of resources. Love the three groups of musicians who entertained us daily. They are talented and beautiful people. We will continue to visit Cuba as the trips are affordable and the beaches are amazing. We will check up on other resorts rather than staying at the same one!

Hotel Los Cactus: Great resort!

We recently went to Breezes Varadero on June 6-13th . It's a great place , very clean and everyone so friendly. Lobster night on Fridays, all you can eat!! So yummy! Rooms very big. Snack bar, towel hut and bar all easy to get to and beaches all well maintained.Lots of chairs available. Wide range of ages from young people to 60 something! Lol This was our second time to this resort and was not disappointed.The food is actually pretty good. Their bread is so melt in your mouth fresh. I would recommend this resort to anyone not sure about Cuba or has reservations about the island. Probably one of thebest affordable resort! Occidental Arenas Blancas: absolutely love!

the staff in the hotel is just amazing and so nice, rooms are always kept clean and fresh the grounds are well kept this resort is just great! so much to do in and around the resort! and the food here is not bad at all ! always found food to eat!! if your looking to explore veradero this is the perfect resort i have been back here 4 times just because of the quality of the staff and it being right in the middle of just everything!

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Awesome Resort!!!

We found this resort to be amazing. The grounds were beautiful and well tended. Public facilities were kept very clean and stocked. Rooms were spacious and the bathroom seem updated. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed the activities at the beach and around the pool. Attended all the shows at night and enjoyed them. Wished the disco was more popular. They had a variety of choices for people who were not into fish.

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Feelgood Resort

Arenas Blancas is a cute resort to wind down and relax. Their restaurants have an exquisite variety of cultural Cuban cuisine. Its hotel services and hospitality was on point. Clean pools and beaches were a bliss. (No real fruit drinks, or bottled water made drinks, no free wifi, wifi only works on first floor)

Hotel Los Cactus: Great Resort!

Absolutely great resort, especially for the price! The beach is absolutely beautiful, in true Cuban form, food was great, bevy's where great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was OK, not much atmosphere. The rooms could use a little TLC but they are clean and comfortable. Over all I had a wonderful time at Breezer Veradero and I'm sure a return visit will be in my future.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Amazing resort and great location

Good service. The food was good compared to other resorts. Room was clean and quiet. Many activities on the beach and hotel. The beach was beautiful and many chairs. The pool was clean and well situated on the resort. Have been two times at this resort. Great Vacation !

Roc Arenas Doradas: Beautiful resort!

My husband and I stayed here from June 3rd to June 10th. We were looking to relax and reconnect after having our son, but also wanted to let loose a bit ;). This resort had all we were looking for and needed. Plus more. The food was great. I LOVE to eat and eat often. I did not go hungry here. The coffee bar is superb! Ajon at the swim up pool bar is the nicest!! The guests were great we met some amazing people. The staff was pleasant. Resonance Blu Varadero: Great value for the money!

Hotel was nice. Rooms did need a bit of fixing in regards to the bathroom fixtures. Food was a bit repetitive in buffet, but a la cartes are delicious. Beach clean, staff friendly and very helpful and curteous.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort!

Great hotel and staff but 3 stars for food. Best vacation spot i have been in. I would recommend this to anyone seeking a near perfect experience. It was very relaxing and fun. The service was spectacular.

Barcelo Solymar: Good but not great this time.

So as everyone knows the resort food is not good, that is to be expected so that's that.But if your in your 20s to mid 30s and you want to party then all the time then this is the spot to go hands down.It was my second time going So I new what to expect, The only negative was that the pool bar was under construction and they don't have the beach bar with 24 hr drinks anymore.You really need to get those areas back up bc they are the social hubs of the whole resort.Other than that it was good tim [... read more]e's.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Returned to Paradise

We traveled back to this fantastic resort once again from May 30th to June 6th. Our welcome was warm and kind, "I remember those two faces", by the lovely lady that runs intakes and orientation. We were given the same room from the previous year, 2212. Great room and great Butler, Marcel We also had Mr Alex from Diamond Club taking care of all of our needs. The food was fantastic as it always is! My god if you leave this resort hungry you must have an eating issue. The buffet, and A la Carte's a [... read more]re great, (only exception is the beach restaurant) Ordered the mixed fajitas and well they came out on a hot iron pan without oil,seasoning, vegetables. or actually shrimp It was a burnt tortilla shell with chicken and meat on it with nothing else. No sour cream, cheese, lettuce or salsa. I had the soup to start and they brought it out with a spoon the size of a serving bowl shovel. The waitress didnt even ask if we wanted a drink until and asked her. This place is the only problem they really need to work on.The view was great! Service sucked. I ate here most days for lunch and they do 5 star on lunch just not DINNER. The room was fine until we came back from the beach on the Tuesday. It was hot and the maid had the door wide open and let all the air conditioning into the outside It was 4:30 in the afternoon and she has my cool room wide open....... Then when we walked in she accused us of taking two head towels......... REALLY! REALLY! . That did in her tip for the week. SO FOR HOUSEHOLD care bad bad bad bad! I have to admit I saw a RAT! I came back for dinner and my feet hurt so I ran a little water to soak my feet in. I was sitting facing the outside window and I huge rat ran right across the exterior window onto the deck and then it was gone. Make no mistake IT WAS A RAT! Jet boating was a 10! Diamond Club area on the beach a 10 ! Staff at the beach a 10! most restaurant a 10!!!!!

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Not quite a 5 star but excellent for Cuba

Hi Folks a quick note regarding this resort...When we got to the resort the front staff was quick in giving us our room and since we couldn't get the room we wanted told us tomorrow would be ok to change if needed but to our amazement the room was superb so great there and we were close to everything Room #3103.We had two butlers to help us out but did not need them through the week ( not newbies) .The food and the service at the main dining lounge was awesome (excellent waiters and waitresses)  [... read more]no complaints there the other restaurants were ok but rather go to the main lounge in case you didn't like the food on the menu or surprise with what you get..things somewhat are not quite like home cooking.The drinks were hit and miss some were fantastic while others not so good.The beach all I can say is WOW.Pools were good and so was the entertainment group.(friendly bunch).Night entertainment was good to very good.Most of the staff at this resort were very friendly .I can't remember all the names but there tons of good people.The Cubans have a great love for music and dancing and it certainly shows.I give this resort a 4 star as a few things were not up to par ( top shelf drinks, beef almost non existing or very poor and a few more things that weren't up to par) Don't get me wrong I am not complaining about the 5 star things as they are just some facts to see this as a better place I would certainly go back here without hesitation.
