Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Amazing Resort....

My three sisters and myself just returned home from a week vacation at this resort and Absolutly LOVED it.... We have been to other resort and this one is by far the best one we like so far.... Food was totally awesome... Rooms were extremely clean and very nice décor.. We had an amazing view of the Ocean and beautiful sunny hot weather. The entertainment was great.. We all Loved this Resort and will return...

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Good choice

Very nice resort: well-managed, well-kept, excellent food, good service. My primary complaint is that the grounds are long and narrow, so very few (if any) rooms have ocean view, and most are a long walk from the beach. I might add that the activities at the pool are somewhat loud and intrusive, but that's a matter of preference.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great place!

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful trip to the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Green. Our room was fabulous: building 81, room 105 (pool view, ground floor). I can't say enough nice things about our trip: clean beautiful resort with excellent service. The buffet was so good and our server Maria was very friendly and jovial. Great room, beach, pools and restaurants. This was our second trip and we would certainly go again.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Very nice resort!

Aside from the beach, I had no complaints. The staff were always very friendly and willing to help, the food was always tasty with plenty of options. BAHIA Spa was also very relaxing I would highly recommend a massage while you are here. Definitely worth the money and will be returning!

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Good Family Time

The renovated Junior Deluxe Family room was very nice and quiet but room service and food were more a 3 star rating than 4. The A La Carte restaurants were not great. Too many representatives trying to sell excursions on the beach and at the pool.

Riu Merengue: Needs upgrading

Hotel room and service staff were good. Beach and resort needs upgrading. Food was not at 4star Resort standards. Number of Restaurants was limited. Wine was not good(almost undrinkable) This was my second time at this resort and was disappointed this time.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great experience!

Very nice, small enough and big enough resort with lots to do. Very happy and active staff. Food is always freshly cooked and very good quality. Very clean. Very live with staff conducting lots of activities at the pool. There is an additional quiet pool if you want to snooze in quiet surrounding. We had the best of time.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Another awesome stay at Bahia Principe Bouganville

This was our second stay at Bouganville. This time as a group of 10. We were well taken care of by all of the staff at all times. The resort is very clean and quiet. The animation team made time at the pool fun, and there was a quiet pool if that's what you are looking for. All the restaurants were very good. Bars were good and well run. The entertainment was good in the lobby and once again the animation team made sure it was fun. The hallways were always quiet and the maids were quiet in the morning which we also appreciated. The butler service was very good also. A nice quiet, yet fun relaxing stay in an Adult only environment. Highly recommend this resort. Trip Central was great to deal with and made sure all of our needs were taken care of also

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Absolutely Amazing

Bahia Principe Fantasia was everything it was hyped up to be. We stayed there in early April. The weather was fantastic and the hotel was incredible. Make sure to look for Yason if your sitting by the pool. Best waiter I’ve ever had. Food was amazing rooms were clean pool was fantastic and the beach was amazing!!!

Occidental Punta Cana: Great vacation !

We had an amazing week at Occidental Punta Cana. We stayed in a superior room it was very nice and beds were comfortable my only complaint is that the sheets could use some upgrading, however it was a very minor downfall. The resort is beautiful and very clean. Plenty of space and we were always able to find a chair at any of the three pools or the beach. The beach was one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. Food was great always lots of variety at the buffet we also tried the Italian, Mexican and s [... read more]teak restaurant, the steak was definitely a favourite ! Staff were helpful and attentive we didn’t have beach towels in our room when we arrived and at another point during the stay our safe stopped working but both times we called guest services and they sent someone to help us out within a few minutes. A lot of staff were able to communicate in multiple languages and even those who could not did their best to be helpful !The evening shows were unreal very talented performers . There is also a lot of live music going on in the evenings very enjoyable. Don’t have kids myself but I noticed that the resort was very family oriented and there was a lot of activities for kids, they always seemed to be having a good time ! Very satisfied with our stay and would definitely return.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Amazing Resort and destination !

We got here and were greeted by friendly staff , the room was spectacular although the upgraded ocean front view was expensive is worth every penny for first time vacationers to a resort ! Tons to do with events every day and evening , lots of pools wether you want to party or somewhere quiet there is a place for every mood. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Awesome Resort with outstanding customer service

Everything at this hotel was exceptional. We travelled with our 29 year old special needs daughter and were a little worried about how she would be treated at this adults only resort. All management and staff treated her like a princess. The food was delicious, the grounds beautiful, the entertainment kept everyone involved and so much to do. We had a room with a roll in shower and it accommodated us perfectly.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: GREAT VALUE Family trip

Family of 5 went for 7 days. The room was clean - not brand new but it was clean and that is all we care about. The food selection was great and everything we had tasted good. We have one very picky teenager and he never left hungry and said all the food was great. We went off the resort to a Baileys one night for dinner which was also great food and service( and free WIFI) hotel wifi was fine but will not work in your room. The staff were all so very kind. There are numerous pools depending on what you are looking for ...loud or a quiet day. I suggest taking an old beach towel from home to use, we were there during a busy time and if you did not have a towel down on a chair before 7 you likely would not get one until late afternoon. The beach and the fun in the waves is also a great way to spend time The bars need to pick up the pace and that is really my only complaint - waiting to get a drink alcoholic or non always took a while.

Riu Republica: Highly recommend!!!

Booked this hotel last minute with recommendation from the rep at Trip Central. I was sceptical because I usually book smaller resorts, I will definitely be returning to Rui Republica. Everything about this resort made my vacation great. Although it is larger it is layed out very well and no problems navigating the grounds. Restaurants were all wonder, although the best steak was not at the Steak House but at the Spanish restaurant. No reservations were required and we never waited longer than 2 [... read more]0 minutes for a table. We could wait in one of the many bars with a pager to notify you when the table was ready. Pools were many and varied from the party pool to quiet relaxing. Did not have to reserve chairs once by the pool. Lots of choice either in the sun or under a shade canopy. The beach was busy and harder to secure a shade spot but not impossible if you arrived early. The rooms were clean and comfortable, both of which are a deal breaker from my relaxation. Definitely will be returning.

Excellence El Carmen: Very Good Choice

All the staff at the Excellence El Carmen were friendly and worked hard to make our trip enjoyable. Despite that, this hotel falls just short of being a true 5* experience. It began when we arrived at 11:45 pm and we had to find our own way to our room using a map that the desk staff provided. It continued with little things daily that showed the hotel has not yet matured into its desired state. They will get there but the staff will need specific training and customer feedback will be criti [... read more]cal in the process. Our room was beautiful. It was one of the largest rooms we have ever had at an all inclusive resort. We had a swim out room and deck was large with lots of options to relax and enjoy. I liked that the pool was not heated as the air was so hot it was refreshing. There was very inconsistent bar service when at the swim out room, it seemed actually more by chance than any planned service. However there was a bar in the room and a fridge and it even had clamato. If you wanted you could also order drinks to the room. The beach was beautiful and the sand so soft. You could walk for miles. This was so nice and we really enjoyed it. The food was good, some of the service staff would benefit from additional training. There are so many choices for dining that we did not get to sample all of them but our favourite restaurant that we did go to was the French one. The entertainment staff were hard working and energetic and some of the shows were well choreographed and showcased some terrific singers. Overall we really enjoyed our week and we would consider returning and recommending this hotel to others.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Average

Grounds were well kept. The rooms were small with double beds not queens and were totally uncomfortable. The beach was disappointing, yellow sand with lots of crushed shells and seaweed. Very limited to the resort, taxi service is available. The food was average but the al Carte restaurants were good. The most annoying issues are the line up and slow service at the reception desk as well as waiting for restaurant booking. Third time to this Bahia property second time to Ambar and as last time it didn’t disappoint. Staff goes out of way to be sure you’re satisfied, beach is beautiful, pools are refreshing and the food is delicious

Hotel very beautiful and clean. Good meals with many restaurants. We had a water leak from the roof in our bedroom twice during our stay. We have to be before 6 AM to find a good chair at the beach. My wife was armed robbed with a machete when walking on the beach away from the hotel.Stay near hotels installations at the beach.I prefer my stay at other Bahia Principe

We came with our extended family (ages 4-74 years). We all were very impressed with how friendly and welcoming the staff were, the quality of the food (including the house wine) and the range of activities to keep us all busy. We had a couple of minor glitches with the rooms but our problems were dealt with professionally and helpfully.
