Grand Memories Varadero: Good Resort

This was the second time that we have been to this resort. It was previously run by Riu and we found it to be an excellent resort two years ago. This time, it has changed companies and we found the grounds being the same as before. The rooms were the same. Food the selections were not as good as it was with the Riu chain of resorts. The people were friendly but found them more aggressive in asking for tips and items. Overall we found the staff very accommodating and friendly. Palma Real: not a four stars

rooms need an up date,not much of hot water for showers, actually it was cold, is good cold but not that cold, service not friendly at all, no bottles of water in the rooms, (only first day)we had a fridge but no water, we had to buy water everyday, in a weather over 30 degrees, u kidding me?, reception, when we arrived, they did not even tell us where the room was, not a map of the resort, they did not explain anything to us, did not tell us that we had the right to a two reservations to any re [... read more]staurants a la carte, because the hotel is near the city, we asked for a varadero map, they did not have one, exchange in the hotel was not a very good deal, etc., etc., etc.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Different company different results!!!

We were here 4 years ago with our kids and their boyfriend and girlfriend, then it was called Sirenis La Salina, we had a great time and the food was quite alright for Cuba, so we returned this year for our 25th wedding anniversary. Now it is owned by Memories, well we have quite a memory, arrived Monday 10:30 pm and we were both sick by Wednesday afternoon. At the pool restaurant we ordered a hamburger, asked for it to be cooked very well done, it was very well red? This is really too bad because the folks that work there are really really nice. The beach is great, the quiet pool bartenders are really fantastic, the entertainment quite good, especially the Michael Jackson show, wow. This hotel used to have a French restaurant that was quite good also, it's gone now, the only good sit down restaurant is the Japanese one. I'm glad that we got to go 3 times. And for this reason

Resonance Blu Varadero: Nice resort

Grounds are beautiful. And the beach was one of the best.the staff were polite and friendly. We did not care for the food in the budget. The location of the resort was good. Close to the town of Varadero and not far from the airport.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Amazing time

The trip was amazing. Thier was quite a few bugs so don't forget bug spray. The resort was clean and nice. House keeping seemed to come whenever they wanted. Two days they came after 2pm after we weren't in our room from 8-2pm then wanted us to leave to clean it. Also we couldn't get new water bottles or even pay for new ones as the front desk said they didn't have any. The air conditioning controls are broken but they made the rooms cold. The food was better than I expected (even good) but the indoor buffet had problems with birds and flys. Also if you weren't in a family and your just a couple you have a chance of being ignored by the staff for drinks there as well. The mixes for drinks is watered down at the lobby bar so if you want drinks not watered down go to the pool bar. I sudjest bring snacks for beach as its a bit of walk back to get food unless the restaurant by the beach is open. Go there for lunch it's really good. Be careful thier are tons of cats. Their really cutie. Other resorts seemed to play music and such and be more alive on the beach. Overall it was a good stay. You won't forget it.

Be Live Turquesa: Be Live Turquesa

The resort was okay overall. clean rooms, hot water, working air-conditioning and the food was good however the selection was very limited. The resort lacked in the service area. Front desk process was extremely slow and staff not overly friendly with the exception of a very few. Beach was excellent, pool area was a little run down. I would recommend this resort for people travelling on a budget who are used to basic accommodations.

Hotel Los Cactus: Okay resort

The hotel overall was found to be a place fo4 older crowds. My boyfriend & I were both under the age of 25 & found it hard to enjoy our time there. The recreation activities shut down very early which was dissapointig. The food was okay but the food times were not. Overall the resort was clean and well kept.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful, first class resort

Excellent resort. Staff and service were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food was average, but that is the way it is in Cuba. The grounds were well kept and maintained. The evening shows and entertainment were very enjoyable.

Hotel Los Cactus: Beautiful resort, amazing people

I just got back last week from a fantastic trip to Breezes Veradero. This resort was by far one of the best I have stayed at in Veradero and I very much look forward to going back in March 2016. The people where fantastic, the grounds where very well maintained and the service was remarkable. our rooms where cleaned daily. We had a slight problem with our A/C the first night stay, and when we brought it to their attention they had someone come in and try and fix it within 10 mins, Unfort. it cou [... read more]ld not be fixed at that time so they placed us in another room of our choice no questions. they where very accommodating. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Palma Real: Bellevue Palma Real

Awesome resort ...pretty good food...great guests....staff could of been a bit more friendly but that didn't really matter ,just meant I got to tip less ...and maybe a new CD, got real tired of hearing latino dance music 24/7 but i guess it's like that everywhere

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort and beach

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. Beach was beautiful...just amazing and breath taking. Resort was well kept and clean. Food was good...a bit repetitive at lunch time. The restaurants were all good.

Starfish Varadero: book a bungalow

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this resort. I have now stated in both the bungalow and the hotel room. The bungalow has way more room. Okay so the water pressure isn't great and at 6:00pm there was no hot water. Was it the end of the world know. Did wAter go on the floor/ put towels down. The washrooms were clean , the maid service top notch. Be friend a local. They are all nice and all of them will say hello to you. The gardener was always making the place lovely. The bartenders, they w [... read more]ere all nice. They will go out of there way to make something you like. The good / just okay,, I never went hungry, there was always something to eat.

Memories Jibacoa: Great place to relax - not party

This is not the most luxurious hotel we've stayed at in Cuba, however we found it to be one of the most peaceful settings. Low rise hotel (under 200 rooms) on the beach with a good reef for snorkeling and mountians in the background. Good servers - very pleasant. Food was 'okay' with limited options (likely due to smaller size of resort). If you're a food snob - don't come here. End of beach near guard house needs some cleaning up too. Very peaceful pool (spa music environment). Close to Havana  [... read more]- spares you hours on a bus/plane. Great value at this hotel for the price paid.

Barcelo Solymar: A beautiful resort and a very good time!!!

The resort was very pretty! The rooms were very clean and very spacious, the pools were great and the beach was amazing! I also loved that we could used paddle boats, sail boats and kayaks for free! The general buffet food was not good at all (but what do you expect with an all inclusive lol) but the "a-la cart" were awesome and whatever the chefs were cooking at the buffet was always good! Hotel Bella Costa: Beautiful all around!!!

Everything was wonderful, the people, the food, the hotel, the room, the beach... Thank you Bella Costa for the best vacation EVER!!!! I was amazed at how courteously we were treated. All the personnel at Bella Costa were so very kind and helpful. Smiles all around... The rooms were always impeccably clean and the cleaning ladies would use our towels to create swans and monkeys on our beds. They made our first exeperience in Cuba extraordinary. Thank you again! We will definitely go back again!

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Tainos - nice getaway resort

This resort and the people that work there are fantastic. Being Cuba you need to deal with repetitive food (was all very good though). The beach was always cleaned first thing and the service was spot on.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great Resort with Great Staff

The hotel is beautiful but in need of some updates/renovations. The layout of the resort was fantastic! Loved that there were quiet pools and not just the main pool. Beach was gorgeous. I can't say enough about the staff - they were all so helpful and nice. The temperature of the food at the buffets weren't great so we stay with the made-to-order food, which was always easy to find at different spots around the resort.

Melia Marina Varadero: Okay

The resort itself is gorgeous. The staff are amazing! Very nice people, they make your stay as comfortable as possible. The only thing was the food wasn't great at all. We did get sick but the staff was amazing at helping us with remedies that helped with vomiting and stomach upset.

First time to Melia Marina but 10th time to Cuba.Enjoyed the resort very much.Staff were friendly and accomodating..Very clean resort,nice layout.Beautiful beach and pools.Our daughter enyoyed a small pool at marina side very much and ice cream shop.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: We had a great first time in Cuba

The hotel had good food, great service, an amazing beach, and awesome pool! They surprised me with a cake delivered to our room on my birthday. Everything was new and clean, the grounds were well kept.
