Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Overall good value
My wife and I stayed at Bahia Principe Coba for 9 days (Dec 26 2018 to Jan 4 2019) and we enjoyed ourselves. We paid a bit of a premium given the time of year so taking that into consideration, it was a good value for the trip. We were happy with the overall resort, in that the Coba resort is linked to the Tulum resort. In fact, the beach at Tulum was much better than the beach at Coba, so we went to the Tulum beach every day and had lunch at the Tulum buffet. We ate breakfast and dinner at t [... read more]
Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Mediocre - no beach!!
The hotel was very clean except for room service dishes left in the hall all day and evening causing a nasty smell. The staff was attentive. The "beach" was all huge rocks and not accessible. The food was very disappointing. I've had better in Cuba. This is a resort I would avoid in the future. I was not supposed to be charged for in room wi fi as I sat through a timeshare seminar. I confirmed this with the hotel before I left. To my shock there is a charge on my visa for the wi fi.
Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Sheraton Bouganvilla, Puerto Vallarta
The hotel and rooms were well kept. There were dirty dishes in the hallway from room service we walked by that were there for many hours while cleaning staff ignored them. This was almost daily during our 7 day stay. The most disappointing part was the food. The dining room had a huge selection of choices. However it seemed you were always getting warmed up leftovers. Food was fried, greasy, and overly spiced. It would be better to have quality rather than quantity. The fruit select [... read more]
Las Brisas Ixtapa: Totally relaxing resort
Beside offering huge spacious rooms all with a view of the beach, this hotel offered the best food we have ever been served at any other resort. The pool areas offered both sun and shade and best of all they were quiet-no constant music blaring. One could read or snooze and we were able to visit without shouting. Beach area is very private and clean
Las Palmas by the Sea: Las Palmas
Excellent value Tv service should be upgraded We brought a flash drive loaded with things to watch Staff try hard to help at all times Same problem as always with people reserving lounges at 7:30 and not using them till after lunch. Food is good especialy breakfast and desserts always excellent. Alehandro stands out as a server. Small tip every day for the maids got us extra towels and water when we needed them. Although it was all inclusive we went to town often for dinner the prices a [... read more]
Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Beautiful Resort
The rooms we’re lovely the grounds well kept The dining was exceptional. The entertainment enjoyable. The staff very accommodating and helpful. Once at the main building all amenities we’re easily available. The beach area was small but clean.
Posada Real Ixtapa: A Room with a Fabulous View
Our room faced the ocean, crashing waves , and the roar of the surf were spectacular . A short walk to the dinning room , again , facing the ocean, and open to the sounds of the surf , we dinned on food that was truly mexican. The staff in the restaurant was friendly and attentive to our needs. Especially when my stomach could only tolerate jell-o. The grounds were well cared for , flowers and palm trees in abundance. I especially liked the infinity pool that looked like it flowed [... read more]
Grand Palladium Vallarta: Lovely resort
Lovely grounds, great food with lots of variety, nice size - not too big, not too small. Awesome staff that are ready to serve. Lots of activities although we chose to spend most of our time reading and walking. Resort is on a cliff, so be prepared for lots of stairs to pools, restaurants, beach and different locations in resort. No elevators. Resort is located 45 minutes north of airport in a remote area so very quiet and away from towns or other resorts. Pools are nice but wish there was [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: wonderful week away with friends
thanks to the great suggestion of our wonderful travel agent from tripcentral judy donaldson our spur of the moment weeks holiday could not have been better. our sign in at the resort was done quickly and we received the perfect room for our needs, next door to our travel companions. the resort is on the larger size but we were central to everything and quickly found our way around. we found lots of seating around the pools with many shady areas, also lots of places for lunch with great var [... read more]
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Excellent!
We were very pleased. This vacation was our 2nd time here. One of the overall cleanest resorts we have been too. Staff here are very friendly and helpful. Could always find something to eat. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends.
Riu Santa Fe: Amazing resort
It’s was a great place for family, but I paid for a room with two queen bed but got two twin beds and the resort was full so had to sleep on a twins bed with 4 people another than that it was great and friendly place
Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Exceeded our expectations!
We’ve travelled to Mexico pretty extensively (more than 10 visits) to both Cancun and the Riviera and this one is a pleaser. The food was impressive, even the buffets offered tasty selections that didn’t disappoint. We booked the “family side†as it met our budget goals and as two adults travelling we could still access the adult only side. If you are going without kids I’d definitely recommend the La Perla side. The rooms were spacious and lovely. Cons booking a la cartes was made [... read more]
Barcelo Ixtapa: Fantastic Resort. Best entertainment I've seen in Mexico
Very good good. Standard accomodation. Very good service. Nice friendly staff. Nice beach, big waves for two weeks but fun. The hardest working band I have ever seen. 7 piece. They play in the show at night and then do a solid 1.5 hours in the bar. Fantastic Latino music, spot on and very tight. Think salsa music at its best. I would go back just for the music.
Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Great location and value
The location is ideal with beachfront and Old Town on the other. Staff are very welcoming. Food and interior improvements recently. Loved the new look in the main dining room overlooking the ocean. Very clean and great value for stay.
Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Lovely resort
Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and very helpful. It is convenient to bus transportation. I would give it a nine out of ten. The beds were comfortable, food was good, entertainment well done, It could use another elevator.
Excellence Playa Mujeres: Great vacation
Beautiful place. The staff is wonderful and very welcoming. The food is good but mildly inconsistent. It could be better. Be prepared that dress code is a very big thing at this resort. Casual elegance is what they call it. Everywhere for dinner besides the outside grills are dress code driven.
Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Just Incredible!
The Hilton Playa Del Carmen is amazing. The hotel itself is newer (and apparently about to undergo some more renos). The layout is spacious without being too big & there are so many bars & restaurants you will never be hungry or thirsty. 4 included a-la-carte, 1 Chef’s Plate ($85/couple) for a high end dinner menu which changes daily, a buffet and a 24 hour lounge like none I have ever seen at a resort. Excellent coffee, a buffet of hot and cold snacks as well as pop, alcohol and beer. It†[... read more]
Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Large and well managed resort
We had an excellent experience, the room had a great view and was to our full satisfaction. This resort has sooo may good Restaurants and buffets some close to the ocean ideal for lunch or dinner. The variety of food is amazing and absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, could not as for better. The beach is large great for swimming or walking. We enjoyed our stay very much, thinking of returning next year.
Sandos Cancun: Great vacation.
I really liked the hotel, as it was smaller than many with great food and a nice atmosphere. They are very concerned with the environment and have reusable cups and even green bins. The menus detail what ingredients could cause allergies and they have food choices for Everyone. My only complaint would be that it was hard to find a spot at the lower pool or on the beach and the constant dance/techno music got annoying quickly.
The Pyramid Cancun: Resort was great! Food was mediocre
Hotel was good. We got room upgrades fornocean view which was nice. However they didnt give us the right bracelet we paid for and some restaurants initially wouldnt accept our bracelet for entry. Food on this resort is mediocre. Trip central does a good job on making bookings easier and is my go to.
