Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Tidy resort

Hotel and grounds well groomed and tidy. Polite and timely services. Food and beverages were handy and plentiful. All the employees including the grounds keepers to the people who cleaned the streets were very polite and friendly.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Wonderful vacation

Had a great vacation at this resort. We travelled with 4 families. Kids ages ranged from 12 -17 yrs. the resort always had activities going on for the teenagers. They all had so much fun. The staff were all so kind and helpful. The entertainment staff were great and a lot of fun. The food was really good and plentiful. The resort was immaculate and staff were constantly cleaning. Would highly recommend this resort for families

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Fantastic stay

Resort was fantastic. Staff were great and very helpful and friendly. Food was good. Lots for the kids to do. Activities going on all day long at the beach and the pool. Lots of great entertainment. Very clean and well kept.

Paradise Playa Dorada: Return visit

We booked a standard room with a balcony. The room was clean and they supplied us everyday with bottled water. We like this hotel because of the location of the buffet restaurant and the snack bar/ ala carte eating by the ocean. We found the food very good in the buffet and ok in the 2 ala carte with the Italian being our favorite. We found all staff very good. The internet is too expensive. 9US a day or 38US a week.We look forward in returning again.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Excellent Resort

The resort is excellent for families with small children and older people. Excellent for snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, use of catamaran and fishing. You have a wonderful opportunity to go for a beautiful walk on the beach from the resort to the village of Las Galeras, a great place to meet friendly locals. The staff at the resort are really friendly and professional. The only downside we experienced was when it's bad weather, there is a limited number of indoor activities. Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Great vacation

My daughter and I stayed for 8 nights. We had a wonderful time. Staff was really nice, room very clean. We stayed in the royal section and really took advantage of the restaurants. Tasted most of the items on the menu as we shared a lot of dishes. It is a very quiet spot and you just have to cross over to the other section for the "action". Weather wasn't the greatest but we made use of all the nooks around the resort.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: VH Gran Ventana

Everything was excellent from the employees to food & entertainment ,the beach was just amazing took a walk up & down along the other resorts & Gran Ventana Beach Resort has the best beach well looked after ,

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great resort.

We loved the resort. Making dinner reservations was the only issue we had. It's very hard to get into Zen and Hunter. The grounds, beach and facilities were amazing. Staff are amazing and very helpful.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Great resort!

The resort was very clean, the food was good and most of the staff were great to deal with. The beach and pools are beautiful and all of the facilities are top notch. Personally didn't like the various class systems they have. ie. Royalton, Diamond club, Hideaway and Memories. They are trying to capture too broad a market. We felt bad for the Memories guests that were expected to walk down a pathway at Royalton to access the beach and not stop or use the facilities along the way. We heard  [... read more]complaints from a few of them. The Hideaway area didn't gel with the theme of a family resort. An 18+ resort should be a separate resort. Perhaps a quiet/adult only pool area would make more sense. We were going to upgrade to the Diamond club but were told it had been oversold and wasn't worth the extra money unless we planned on drinking an extreme amount of high end alcohol. Didn't like having only the one draft beer choice. Would like more options including some canned/bottled beer options. The other tropical types of drinks (pina coladas, daiquiris etc.) were from concentrate and not very good quality. Straight mixed drinks were a better choice. We have 3 children and they enjoyed the splash park at Memories. We also visited the Royalton Bavaro located down the beach. It is brand new and even nicer than the Royalton PC. The kids loved the lazy river and surfing machine. We would stay there next time but would also stay back to RPC if Bavaro not available.

Riu Palace Macao: Fantastic Resort - Will return

This is by far the nicest hotel we've been to. This is our second time at Punta Cana and our second "adults only" resort. The quality and selection of the food was fantastic. Even the picky eaters would never go hungry. The service at both the pool bar and the lobby bar was first class. The wait staff was very attentive and quick to bring your drinks. The grounds were impeccable and there was always cleaning staff continually making sure everything was spotless. The beach was beautiful with  [... read more]lots of lounge chairs and palm trees for shade. The rooms were well kept and the turn down service at night was a lovely touch. We got the free bus that took us to a cigar factory, a chocolate factory and a very large souvenir store. The only negative was when we booked our catamaran/snorkel tour on the plane. It was cheaper that buying it at the resort, but it was pretty lame for the price. Of course there will always be picky people who aren't happy unless they are complaining about even the smallest things, but to those people, perhaps you need to stay home. This is after all a third world country, so get over yourself. We are seasoned travelers and consider this a 5 star all the way and we will return for sure.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Fun spot

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The staff really adds to the experience. The buffets were not that great but the à la carte restaurant were good but you had to wait a minimum of 20 minutes. And some nights up to an hour or more.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: It was a fantastic experience

My experience was great, I fully enjoyed the food, entertainment and helpful staff. My room was standard however the phone did not work as well as the air conditioning. The view from my room was great and in joyed the fact that everything was so accessible. I would definitely visit again.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Amazing Resort

The location at first seemed a bit strange however when I saw the resort it was beautiful and very welcoming. The staff was amazing in every way, they were all very kind and helpful. I had my niece and nephew with me and the staff treated us like family, anything we needed was provided to us. The one problem I had was with the WIFI the kids were not able to use their devices. Due to heavy winds I didn’t use the beach at the resort as often but the view from my room was breathtaking. I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely visit again.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Excellent hard working people

Everyone booking needs to keep in mind nothing is ever perfect. The people make the place and as a 2nd visit this resort is great for families and the staff do try there b st to ensure a good time is had

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: 2nd Visit and still love it!

We’ve gone to this resort for the past 2 years. We love it here. The grounds are beautiful and food is excellent. All staff are kind and inviting. Beach is beautiful. We had a minor issue with our room (air conditioning stopped working) and the staff were quick to resolve the problem. They sent a complimentary fruit tray to our room for our troubles and checked in to make sure our stay was going well. Lots of restaurants and activities to choose from also.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Nice resort

Lovely resort, grounds are beautiful. Rooms are clean but dated. Pools and beach are nice but the ocean is quite murky and lots of seaweed. Staff are amazing and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Nice,quiet and very clean resort

This resort was very nice “adults only” which made it a nice quiet resort. The grounds were maintained beautifully, the pools and pool areas were always cleaned. The bar service around the pool area was perfect and this kept the area free of glasses as they were continually coming around to pick them up. This is a very quiet resort so if you are looking for a relaxing resort this is for you. All of the Restaurants were fabulous at the Royal and not having to make a reservation was a bonus.  [... read more]The Japanese restaurant at the adjoining Catalonia was not worth the wait. The food was horrible and very salty. There were a few days without hot water in the shower but regardless the rooms were great. The staff were amazing at the restaurants and bars. Overall good vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful paradise

This resort was a nice experience. Check in was fast and staff were friendly. Rooms were ok. Dated but clean. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Beach was beautiful. Pools were well maintained.Entertainment' was every night which fun. Not sure on the shows ,didn't see any. Was happy with lobby entertainment. All in all it was a great vacation.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: For my first all inclusive I thought it was done very well. The staff were excellant very accomodating and friendly. The room was clean and I had no problems with anything except the phone did not work, I reported it but nothing was done. overall it was a great holiday!

Look up I put it in the wrong section. Would very much like to go back but on the ground floor going up and down the flight of stairs was hard on the old knees. All and all it was a great vacation. Already looking forward to the next trip.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: NO!minican

Wow where do I start! This is a resort that I would never return too, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. We arrived and were given an envelope with our room key, towel pass, and remote for the tv...We went into our room and were immediately disguised. The view was of an abandoned building, the bathroom was gross, dead bug on wall, fake nails under bed (I wished I never looked under the bed) exposed outlets, only one outlet worked...phone didn't work, and so on! SURPRISE...NO You need to pay for internet that they do not guarantee that it works everywhere, you also need to pay for a safe. So in the rain we went to the front desk (I must say that is also a joke, and they love saying NO) to inquire about changing our room, internet and the safe. Upon arrival we were told to come back in an hour so they can process the guests, so we did about 1 1/2 later and they still didn't want to help. So next day all over again with this process, with NO luck. Emailed Tripcentral (but I never got a response, they emailed the girl I was travelling with?) I sent a text to tripassist, and was told a representative would get in touch with me, and nothing. Went to Transat rep on site on three separate occasions and he was less than helpfull, and said we should talk to John the Front Desk Manager...And he was the rudest person that didn't care what we wanted, he just wanted us to give him more money!!!. The person I was travelling with sent an email to tripcentral and was responded too by our rep... Finally the Transat rep changed and we had the regular one who listened and said that he would go talk to John at the front desk. On the third day after wasting so much of our vacation we finally got a renovated room! Much better but does not make up for the vacation from hell, no apologies, no lets make it up to you and send you on an excursion or anything. So the staff...The nicest people we meet were part of the entertainment (Think that was because they wanted us to order them drinks at the bar and give to them) I asked for mojito - NO A glass for my Martini - NO (they were disgusting..FYI) A bottle of water at the bar - NO - you need to drink water that is in a large container! Buffet was Meh, no flavor, ,meals are always the same..Not very good We were not allowed to swim in the Ocean due to the yellow, and red flags up (the whole trip!) The staff is rude, not helpful, and you need to get your own drinks at the buffet if you want one before your meal is done. This is not a 3.5 star at all! Don't get me wrong the views can be beautiful, but this not a vacation spot! Oh and what was beyond acceptable was the staff when not working hanging out in the pools and bars (and usually get served first) And lots of locals walking in and out of the resort! Disappointed and blown away by an overall horrible vacation We went into town daily to get free wifi at restaurants, and have edible food with some flavor.
