Resonance Blu Varadero: definitely made some good lastng memories

Great resort , food was good lots to chose from , Staff were super friendly make you feel like your part of there family , lots of entertainment for all ages , the only downfall was the rooms need an up to date look / but were very clean / and the beaches always amazing quick service at the bar over all great

Resonance Blu Varadero: Fun resort

Staff was really nice and beach was awsome! Food is repetitive but you can always find something you like. Night time was very fun due to the large amount of people in the resort. Variety of places available to take some sun depending on your interrest (quiet pool, party pool or beach). Loved the weather!

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Cuban have changed! Disappointed!

Been to Cuba many times including Havana, Varadero, Holguin, Santa Maria since 1996. Iberostar to my understanding is a better service and food hotels chain from internet reviews. Unfortunately, this is not true. We have 10 people, 5 rooms booked in the main building, none of the patio doors works properly, as a result, it was so noisy until 2 to 3 am so no one can sleep well. Service at front desk are rude, bar tenders at the lobby are terribly slow and not sincere. Food are the worst among all [... read more] hotels we have been. The Japanese restaurant serve only grilled salty foods. The price they charged compare to other resorts that we have been are not worth. Resorts we've been to: Breeze Varadero, Brasas Del Caribe, Tuxpan, Brisas Guardalavaca, Sol de Luna, Sol de Mares, Rio de Oro, Husa Caya Santa Maria, Iberostar Tainos is not worst to stay. Last but not the least, the Sunwing's counter check in person in Cuba was so rude and not helpful. One of our golf bag was broken. I would say this was the worst experience from all our Cuba's trips. Cuban are not as nice as in the past, they changed.

Club Kawama: 2nd stay, always worthwhile

This was my second time at Kawama. I juat absolutely love this resort for its cubanesque feel and quaint atmosphere. It ia definitely a place I will revisit in the future. The staff are very friendly and helpful. No complaints about maid service. I am not a picky eater so food is of abundance. Couple times we checked out Kikis and La Sangria down the street for dinner, very good! Plua you have your choice for A La Carte. Also good. The beach is splendid. Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Iberostar Laguna Azul

The resort was beautiful. Enjoyed the beach and all the pools . Entertainment at night was great. Availibility of drinks was good. Room was a long way from the main entrance. All in all it was a great vacation.

Grand Memories Varadero: Average Resort

I have travelled to Cuba many times this was one of my least favourite resorts.The beach , the pool where not as nice as in other parts of Cuba. I had no hot water for a shower and I wasn't fond of the food.

Hotel Bella Costa: Amazing resort staff were outstanding, had a great

The hotel was very clean staff did a great job. Love the set up of the hotel you go out of your room pool was in the front the beach was out the back. You have food available at all times and it was delicious. They not only make great food but the pasta guy and omelet person put on show . These to stations on the buffet pump out a lot of tasty food while still maintaining a conversation with each and every person in line.

Blau Varadero: Lovely Resort.

The hotel was beautiful, staff were accommodating and polite. The grounds were very well maintained and looked fabulous all the time and the beach was gorgeous . Lots of choices for food and entertainment, a little more variety would be nice, eg. Cereal, oatmeal and toast for breakfast. It would also be nice to have a shop on site to pick up snacks to take to your to your room, eg. I also wish that there were clocks in the rooms. All and all, a very well run resort with lots to offer.

Hotel Bella Costa: Is was very nuce

My stay at the resort was good a lil bit out dated stuff in our rooms many the beds. The staff were great and very friendly. I would go again for sure. The grounds of the resort were nice. The beach was unreal.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Nice, but Not Expectation Shattering

I knew going into this vacation not to set my sites too lofty for Cuba, however I was pleasently surprised by Playa D'Oro. This was a budget-after-college-grad trip so we didn't have much to spend but this was a nice resort. Overall, the rooms and grounds were clean and mostly well kept. The best food by far was the ham and cheese sandwiches at the poolside bar! The buffet restaurant had mostly the same food every night...just avoid the dairy unless you arrive first thing when the restaurant opens, as it never really appears properly cooled when it was out. The staff was super friendly if you took the time to get to know them, especially the maids! A small gesture of thanks went a long way for me... Every morning I would leave a small gift for the maid and she would leave me beautiful towel art in return. Overall a good resort.

Memories Jibacoa: Lovely spot

Enjoyed memorie jibacoa very much but flying with sunwing was terrible.Have taken many trips and can say without a doubt. That sunwing is terrible. It is too bad that I order to get a package deal for memories jibacoa you have to fly without wing.they really need to remove a few sets nod smarten up with their food. My travelling friends spent extra money for the elite, what a joke. When they arrived inHalifax their bags were the fourth for the last to come off the plane. Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort!

This resort is beautiful! The beach is the nicest I've seen and the grounds are so well kept. Everyone who works there is very polite and friendly. The lobby bar has been renovated and now looks so fresh and modern. Our favourite waiter Hermes always greets us warmly with a big smile and provides outstanding service. We have been there twice and will definitely be back. I would like to see some improvements to the pool though as there are many tiles on the bottom that are broken and missing. Hotel Los Cactus: very nice resort

This is our third time to the Breezes Varadero but our first time to Cuba in May. We love the size of the resort, not a lot of walking to the beach, bars and buffet. The service is excellent and we liked the fact that the resort is located close to town. The temperature with extreme high humidity at this time of year took some getting used to. Also the mosquitoes were bad after dark.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great times in Cuba

The hotel was so nice, the beach was incredible, the staff was extremely helpful and generous, and for our baby's first trip (he is 10 months old), it was the perfect spot for him to discover the magic of traveling!

Resonance Blu Varadero: ok but expected more

Food was very bad. Some A la Cartes were good but not many. very nice staff . Pool dirty. WAY too many "kids" resort was way too big as beach was a 15 min walk. not enough buses to take you around. only one thing to do at night and it was packed.

Hotel Bella Costa: Would not return

The main reason I would not go back to this resort is it is so run down - rooms are falling apart and it's dirty. In our first room the lights wouldn't turn on, the second had an ant problem. Food is ok, but worst I've ever had at an all inclusive. The beach is the only redeeming quality, but you get that anywhere is Varadero.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Huge resort

When we arrived it was like spring break in Cancun. Exam week was over, so just bad timing. We made the most of our time, but personally I would choose a smaller, more personable resort next time. Lots of walking so not good for people with mobility issues at all.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Great Location!

Location is perfect as town is right out the front steps. Most staff is great and friendly. Food was some of the best amongst resorts in Veradero, especially the Italian a la carte. Also very clean resort for Cuba. Only real complaints are that they need way more beach chairs and need to start measuring drinks as some bartenders make terrible concoctions. Will be back!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Very Nice Resort

Overall the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The beach is amazing and had more than enough lounge chairs for everyone. The rooms are nice but could definitely use updating but the rest of the resort was in very good condition. The pools looked very nice although we did not end up using them. The a la carte restaurants were very good but the buffet was repetitive and not the best with the exception of the food stations for the omelets, pizza and pasta.

Hotel Bella Costa: Breezes Bella Costa > Lovely

Breezes Bella Cost is located on a beautiful stretch of Varadero beach. The resort is charming although the rooms could use a little upgrading. It was well run, there was a vast selection of food at every meal and the staff was outstanding > always courteous and friendly. I spent more money on gratuities than on souvenirs, however, they deserved every dollar. I would definitely return to this resort again.
