Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Stay at one place, play at more!

My experience, awesome! There is so much to do. If you want to lay low, hang out by the beach, catch a show and turn in, you can or if you prefer to catch a couple of shows and go dance at yhe disco, you can. You have more than a few pools to choose from and you have many a la carte restaurants to choose from. Buffet also has different theme nights if you prefer not to make a reservation. The reservation part can be a little irritating if wifi doesn't kick in fast enough or if you are set on e [... read more]ating at a specific time. You can always make your way to the lobby during the day to make dinner reservations if you dont want to use the hotel webbapp. Food is great at the a la carte restaurants. Staff is friendly. Rooms are nice and big, could use a bit of fixing ie chipped tile here and there (if you want to be super picky) but we didnt care too much about that. the beach and main lobby are all in walking distance. Entertainment is great. You get a great selection of premium alcohol all included, black label, jack daniels, bombay gin, frangelico to name a few. Overall I highly recommend this resort.

Punta Cana Princess: Amazing small resort

Everything great,food, pool, beach,entertainment, staff all very friendly, air condition worked well, lots hot water, Overall a very convenient resort. Everthing was close by. Very Quiet, a great place to relax.Service was excellent. Cant say enough about our bartender at the pool and our around the pool server Staff they made our stay even more special. The grounds are very well kept. Would definetely go back again.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Was good!

This wasn’t a bad vacation at all!! We enjoyed the food. Great variation at the buffet. If you are doing Japanese and expecting the knife show, it may be disappointing as they don’t ask you if this is something you would like to do and there is only two tables allowing this. One thing [... read more] I was very annoyed with was the constant badgering from the guys in the brown shirts to get us to go to speak to someone about time share. They said not a time share but it really is. Just a different way to look at it. We did finally go but read up on it and it’s now worth it. The resort should not allow them to be all over the resort as it is very upsetting having to deal with this from the beginning to the end of our trip. Other than that we were happy with our time spent there.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: A great time

We returned to the hotel and had a wonderful vacation at a. It could use a little TIC as it is starting to show its age, but aren't we all. We didn't get to all the Al carte restaurant however the ones we did eat at were fine. The staff as always was wpnderful. I just wish the staff had better English. Then again I should learn spanish

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: beautiful Resort

everything was amazing, the food was excellent, staff were friendly and very helpful. The grounds were kept in great shape. The shows were very entertaining as was the entertainment team. The beach is spectacular. our room 3407 was fully renovated and close to the main lobby. It is on the main walkway, but was very quiet. The only negative was having the vendors there on 2 nights.

Occidental Punta Cana: nice resort

hotel well maintained staff very friendly little bit of a line up at bars but not too bad food was quite good,always found something to eat beach does not have a lot of shade but wanted sun anyway room was renovated so very comfortable would go again

Occidental Caribe: Occidental caribe

Hotel was very clean , staff at the bar stations at the best of time was friendly and quick to serve drink . Speaciality restaurants were ok but the japenese was our favourite, the buffet was horrible and the food was not what we expected compared the the occidental we stayed at in Aruba . Definitely will not be my first choice again . You need more shaded area by the pool which was very clean

Secrets Royal Beach: Relaxing - Good and Bad

The hotel itself was nice and the rooms were fantastic, large, and clean. The staff was all around very friendly. I went solo as a woman (not single) so was looking for somewhere to feel safe and not bothered and this was a great place for that. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy but that’s out of control of the place. I’d say the biggest downfall was the food was gross. I’m not even a picky eater but it (all of it) was completely disgusting and it was pumped out like a factory. Nightlife was half decent and I liked the option to go over to the family hotel beside for more action.

Riu Merengue: Alright but not best

Well we enjoyed some things at resort however there my main concern was the staff at reception found them not helpful at all, very rude and when asked to get something would take hours and hours for them to bother, had to keep calling and they still wouldn’t help us. The maid also, we had lizards in our room and she wouldn’t kill them just sprayed and left. To get another room was a lot of effort basically had to camp out at reception to get their attention. Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Fantastic Experience!!

This resort was amazing. Grounds were impeccably maintained. The food was great always find something you like at the buffet. Amazing desserts. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was gorgeous on the golden area close to the beach with great photos of sunrise and sunset. Beach was clean and calm beautiful despite what the reviews said. Shout out to Achilies a lobby manager. So many great people!!!

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Amazing !!!

To be honest, I’m never a guy to like to review on hotels or staff, however, this hotel is beautiful, staff is amazing, food is good, entertainment vibe is wonderful. Staff on the beach are amazing. Ricardo, Ariel, Anyelo, Samuel, Wilken!!! Great people !

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great Trip!

Well, when we first arrived we were not sure of the place. It is rated a 4 star, but I would rate it 3 star at the beginning. As the week went on I did feel differently about many things! The rooms were always clean but it really could use some up grading, curtains, for sure better pillows! The food was very good at all locations. : Emotions Hotel Review

This hotel has amazing staff and service. Everyone was super friendly and warm. They would all say hi to you when you walked by or had a conversation and joked with you. We did get approached by multiple staff to upgrade our room on different days. Luckily, they weren't hard salesman and respected a no and continued getting to know you. My only wish was that the rooms were a little more soundproof. We could hear the night party every night (whether the beach or the pool) and everyone coming through the hallway. Unfortunately, this meant I had horrible sleep the entire week due to hearing the loud people going to the room after the party and the early risers with kids going for breakfast. I really enjoyed the food at most of the restaurants (I didn't go into the Mexican one for food sensitivities). Every chicken dish I had was amazing. In terms of the beach, I think they need to do a little more cleaning around the chairs. We noticed quite a bit of cigarette butts. However, the beach and water itself was amazing. There were tons of chairs and we never had to go out at the crack of dawn to get dibs on good ones. Granted, if you waited too late then there were limited chairs that had shade. There were quite a few beach vendors but I appreciated that most left you alone once you said no. Overall, we had made an impromptu trip to relax and get some sun and were happy with our choice. There are just little things that could make a big difference to make this a good hotel to a great one.

The hotel is well maintained. Rooms were clean and the area well decorated and maintained. It deserves the 5 stars. Amenities and beach spots were amazing.bars and restaurants offered tasty meals and a variety of cuisines to choose from. The resort is fantastic

Riu Republica: Awesome Vacation

This is our 3rd time at this resort. It is very clean and spacious. The food was good and drinks as well. Plenty of options for both. As for the pools many options quiet , party pool and many activities. Hotel animators are very good as well especially Blondy69 and Manta. Sad not seeing Chanty because she always made you feel good and got you going. Beach is beautiful and clean as well. No complaints at all. Will go again for sure!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: excellent service

My husband, my father and myself made a trip there last week and would return again. We booked the punta cana royal garden section. My father had his own room and hubby and myself another. Knowing Dad was a solo act and 75 yrs old, they actually called him to make sure he was doing alright and didn't need any help. Staff came twice a day (once to clean the room and another for turn down service to tidy a bit, give chocolates and make sure things were alright). The only strange part was that at most resorts when I travel, rooms are done by 11:00 but here they were done by 3:00... so what? On arrival, the bellboys (or would that be bellmen?) were immediately there to offer direction with a smile and great english. For us, checking in was a separate room where the English was excellent and our numbers low. They explained everything and were available throughout our week to answer questions or address any concerns we had. As for the food, all was good. We were especially pleased with the Pescaro restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. All the restaurants were good, even the buffets. I am used to monotonous food at buffets but this was good stuff. Not gourmet but a wide range of options each meal. Yes it is a huge area with 5 resorts in one area but never did we have a problem finding a spot at the beach or the pool. Drinks were good and staff all over the resort were friendly from maids, cooks, reception, entertainment, bartenders, trolley drivers etc. No, not everyone spoke great English but they tried and they employ Hatians I believe, who speak fluent French if you would prefer. The only drawback we encountered was at the lobby store. The staff were uppity and wouldn't or couldn't speak English. We had a problem with a salesperson who would speak to coworkers but not myself in English or French,she rolled her eyes and was ignorant. We were lucky enough that our royal garden associate cleared up matters for us. All in all its a 8.5/10 for me and that's saying a lot. I would recommend for family, friends, large groups or small. There is something for everyone

Paradisus Punta Cana: Food was really bad

The resort overall was ok. we stayed there during March break 2018. The good stuff: The staff are nice and they did their best to keep us happy. Rooms are clean and spacious. Internet service was free and almost everywhere. The beach was clean and big. The bad stuff:1- the food was really really bad at this resort , their buffets are very lame and lack variety. If you like your food this is not your place. Even their a la carte resturants not that great. That was almost all of the people  [... read more]main comment about this resort. 2-too many sales people bugging you to buy trips to go off the resort , on the beach , and by the pool , they keep coming every day. 3- no hot tub in their rooms. Unless you get upgraded to Royal service then you will have one. We stayed in a cheaper resorts that had better food and hot tub in the room and same great service. I won’t be staying at this resort again .

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Okay vacation but amenity description is deceiving..

Overall we had a great time. We were aware that there would be alot of walking so we were prepared for it. The description for our hotel said there were 9 restaurants, 4 poolside bars, 11 outdoor pools.What it does not say is that they are spread over multiple hotels within the resort. The "Lifestyles Holiday Vacation Club" caters mainly to the VIP's and you almost feel second class as you go throughout the compound as see the amenities they have access to directly beside where we were entering. [... read more] I had read in the reviews about the abundance of golf carts driving around, which was an understatement. They are everywhere all day and all night long. I was almost hit a few times and was surprised that anyone who belonged to the "club" could drive one, young, old, sober or not. i actually witnessed a driver jump the curb and hook itself to someone's scooter. The food and service we had was good and the staff were always pleasant. The beach was small and had a lot of garbage in the the water the first few days. We did not have to fight for chairs which was a nice change from other places we have travelled to. Our room and the grounds were clean. All in all when I go for vacation I want food, a clean room and a nice beach. We did enjoy our time by the pool as there are not any chairs directly on the beach and not a lot of shade. I would recommend this hotel as long as your prepared to go throughout the compound for the amenities and don't expect things to be close by. NOTE there is a shuttle that runs every 25 mins around the grounds.

Great rooms, food and service. . Poolside and nightly entertainment were a little weak. . Overall our trip was great because of the great service by all the staff especially Maria, Francis, & Yenny. . Am I at 200 yet?

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: good resort

The staff here are amazing, yes there is a lot of stairs and walking at this resort..not for those with mobility issues!. This location is part of the Holiday Vacations umbrella and you will be approached by time share staff...but tell them to hit the road and carry on. Henry and Alejandro are amazing guys that bar-tend, and skinny from the entertainment crew is a really nice guy. We learned a lot from him about the life of a Dominican.
