The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Fantastic

Number one was the food! Exceptional! And the staff everywhere were welcoming and helpful. The grounds were spotless and the flowers were just starting to bloom. The pool activities like Zumba and aqua fit were a lot of fun and helped keep me active during my stay. Number two was the spa. As I was at the resort with my sisters, we took advantage of the free Transat spa activities like hot tub, steam room and sauna nearly every day, We also had facials and massages by very competent staff. The at [... read more]mosphere was tranquil and relaxing and the surroundings were very zen. Alex, our Transat rep helped us plan several trips outside the resort. We felt safe and well taken care of. There were tennis courts and lessons but I would have liked a few Pickleball courts. Yes, I would recommend this resort!

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Decent Resort

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, there wasn’t enough drawers to put away our clothing but the room itself was very nice and clean thanks to the amazing house cleaning staff. This resort was clean, staff was friendly, food was decent. The Japanese restaurant was outstanding, the best of the a la crate restaurants. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Awesome Get Away

This was our second visit to Sian Kaan because we were very impressed the first time we visited. The resort is placed away from the craziness of the other Bhai resorts but close enough to sample all of the restaurants ( which are amazing) and of course the beach. The shuttle service is always running and its very simple to get around. Unico 20 87 Hotel Riviera Maya: Amazing Resort

Everything about this resort was top notch...from the room to the grounds, the pools, the dining and especially the service. Our host was friendly, available and helpful. Even though it rained on our snorkeling excursion in Tulum, it still was an amazing and fun experience!

Canto Del Sol: Comfortable Resort fairly close to downtown

This is a nice resort and good value for the money. The rooms are clean and it is well maintained. Unfortunately I got food poisoning (believe it was the buffet) but I guess this can happen anywhere. There is stage show every night and it is very good. The speciality restaurants present a very nice meal with very good waiters. The elevators (or lack there of) leave something to be desired. The location is right on the beach but only about two blocks off the main road in to Puerto Vallarta. [... read more] You can catch a bus that will take you to the town centre for seventy cents. For Canadians who are interested in hockey, there is a lively bar on the street with televised games. Good place to stay. We have been there five times and will return again.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Nice place but not for young person

The hotel is very nice. Food in buffet and italian restaurant were really good. The staff was gentil and every thing was beautifull and clean. The only thing that I less liked is ‘’the americanisation’’ of the hotel... I felt like was in the USA. Ex: The buffet food, the music, the travelers, every employes was talking in english... It takes four days to have new water bottle in the room and they never change the sheets during the 11 days we were there.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Beautiful resort!

Lovely hotel for family with young children.Staff more than willing to help out with any concerns or questions. Loved the grounds with the jungle like feeling. Enough activities for everyone while not having to leave the resort. Great resort.! Excellent sports and entertainment staff! Shows were awesome!

My first all inclusive..... I was very impressed. The resort was very organized, clean, the staff was helpful accommodating extremely friendly. I have nothing negative to say. The food was exquisite, prepared to perfection. I highly recommend The Five Azul to anyone interested in an all inclusive.

This resort was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The beach was well kept and not rocky. However, the beach was very busy on the weekend because it is open to the public. The pools were immaculate. The best thing about the resort was the food. The Mexican restaurant was the best in my opinion. In fact every restaurant, even the buffet, was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. The spa was beautiful and relaxing. Overall a great vacation getaway.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Good and bad

The Good- Service was great, premises were clean, lots of chairs on the beach and near the pool, lot's of wildlife to see, animation staff were great and many games to play, buffet was ok and restaurants were great. The Bad- Loud hallways, early door knocking from cleaning staff, no swim up bar, food poisoning on the last day that I'm still dealing with. At least 6 other people were sick throughout their trip that I know of. Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Very nice resort

Our second visit to Oceans. The best food we've found in the area. The staff is great, everything is clean, and a nice beach. Quiet areas and action areas, something for everyone. Bartender Carlos Cuevas made the best drinks at a little snack bar by the kids pool and Waiter Eduardo Ceurcia kept our glasses full while we were on the beach. At night Bartender Johnson kept us well entertained in the main lobby bar.

Camino Real Zaashila: Small and intimate

We've done a lot of travelling and resort vacations are no longer high priority for us. We hadn't been to a resort for a few years, so thought we'd do something simple for a winter break. Camino Real is different from most - very small, no buffets (other than breakfast) and only one choice for where to have dinner, both choices a la carte and one requiring a reservation. The reservation system is lovely - just a simple phone call from the room at 7 AM will guarantee you the time you want. If you [... read more] wait until later to reserve, your choices will be limited. One of my pet peeves at most resorts has been the reservation system, but this one was perfect. Huatulco is more authentically Mexican than other spots we've visited and the cuisine reflects that. You can even have grasshoppers in your omelette if you like. If you crave lovely bread, you won't find it here. If you want less spice (chile) and no onions in your guacamole, you only need to request that and you'll receive a fresh made-to-order batch. There's lots of seafood and all of it was excellent. The prawns are large and lovely. The rooms are perhaps outdated, but maybe that just lends more charm to the Mediterranean feel. The king bed was comfortable and the room very spacious. The maid did not always leave the required toiletries, perhaps 2 of something and none of something else like shampoo. The toiletries were of good quality though. The pool is absolutely amazing. The drinks are better than those in other resorts we have visited. You don't wear a bracelet at this resort to show that you are on the all inclusive plan, and some folks don't like the signing that is required for each service rendered. This really didn't bother us. Some folks don't like the climb up to the rooms that are at the top, but we requested upper rooms and enjoyed the exercise. Tripcentral made the request for nearby rooms for our group and that request was honoured. We received adjoining rooms with a door which we could open between them. Tripcentral was also very diligent about communication and documents. I've often priced trips on their website, but this is the first time we've actually used them for the booking. There is no entertainment at this resort, no lessons of any kind, no evening shows. The website mentions beach volleyball, but we asked and it didn't exist other than perhaps during student breaks when more younger types are around. There is a tennis court. The beach drops off dramatically so swimming for young children is pretty dangerous. Some people snorkel by the rocks at the end of the small beach, and there are lots of colourful fish to see. The rocks there are barnacle covered though, very limited bits of coral. That said, we paid for an excursion to go snorkelling and were promised the second best coral in Mexico (after Cozumel) and the amount of coral there was much the same. It was a larger area to snorkel, but not that much different from the resort.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Family Friendly

We took our 7 year old and 11 month old for a week and we had the best time. There was so much to see and explore. The food was yummy and the staff was incredible. The sand at the beach is unreal. Our children could have spent the whole time there.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Amazing resort

My second time at The Royal Decameron Complex. Already planning next year. The staff are so nice and ready to help when needed. Food was awesome. The rooms were clean. Just loved the atmosphere. See You next year.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Beautiful resort

This resort is very well maintained and spotless. We stayed at the Caribe resort. No problem getting a spot at the pool so you do not have to worry about putting towels on the chair. Be prepared to walk as there are 5 resorts on the site. We stayed in a Premium room which had two couches in the room and a hot tub on our balcony. Drinks are plentiful and beach is beautiful. No problem getting chairs there either. Lots of activities around the pool and free access to kayaks, catamarans, water tricycles.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Loved this place!

This was my 10th trip to Mexico. Needless to say, I love the country! The people, the history, the food, the weather - can't be beat. But the staff of the Azul Ixtapa Grand were wonderful! They always greeted me with a smile even when I tried to speak with them in my limited Spanish. The hotel is beautiful and meticulously maintained. Lots of choices for food but if you like Mexican fare, you'll love this spot.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

Can't think of one aspect of this resort that we didn't like. Everything was great. Very well maintained and beautiful resort. Loved that we could eat and play at all 4 resorts. Resort is great for couples and families.

Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort

We would definitely recommend this resort. The staff couldn't do more for us. When our flight was delayed, they made up a nice plate for us and was waiting in our room when we arrived. We had alacartes every night and had no line ups. The food was amazing along with the buffets. Our room was nice and modern. The beach is beautiful and clean. No plastic cups laying around. Entertainment was very good day and night. Always keeping people active. We love this resort so much that we'll b [... read more]e bringing our family with us next year. Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Great resort

We arrive early and rooms usually aren’t ready until 3pm, by the time we ate they had our room ready before 3pm which was nice. Great service from start to finish, resort was clean and well kept, Crews worked hard to keep the beach clean. Food was very good too, the only thing is they could use more beach loungers.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Beautiful

This hotel is not only beautiful but the people are so friendly and hard working the place is so clean and food amazing never cold cooked perfect the only problem was no coffee pots by beach in morning I love having coffee by beach in morning
