Brisas Guardalavaca: **Amazing Resort

Where to start. This was our first time in Cuba , we decided on Brisas Gardalavaca. What a Resort. We stayed in on of the Villa which was superb. Kudos to the staff who are always smiling, friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The entertainment, music, night life was so much fun, they really know how to make things fun for all. Highly recommended for your next trip to Cuba..

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Lovely time, fun resort

I came to the resort after only being open for a week. I was upgraded to the perfect Villa. The 1 operational pool was great. A second pool opened the day I left. Food was good, 2 different outdoor meals, special lobster dinner. Drinks were flowing. Staff were very friendly. A few lights out on walkways but I had my phone. I would probably return but I like a quiet resort and could see if full would be quite busy and loud.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing Hotel 🏨

Beautiful Hotel, With great staff. Very well maintained. Exceptional management. Good food an for me, it's home away from home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs to be in a quiet beautiful gorgeous scenery vacation

Paradisus Rio De Oro: resort is very good

THe Manager and Staff are very good. they attend to any issues you may have. Dining is good. Entertainment is good but more shows are needed. rooms are clean and comfortable. stay was enjoyale. will return for sure

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: One Half Of Resort Closed

The Luna section is closed due to renovations. Building 5,6,7,8, is not available. This is the more quiet section.Also closed off in this area is the Luna side pool, ice cream parlour, the two A La Carte Restaurants, the smaller lounge/bar, and the snack restaurant. The Pinta eating area on the beach has been completely redone and is now open.The washrooms there have been redone also. At the other end of beach the Nina eating and bar area has been demolished and is just a hole in the ground.  [... read more]There are many upgrades on the Mares side now. Each day was a struggle to find a peaceful, quiet spot on the beach to relax and enjoy the sounds of the ocean.Groups of people forcing their load Spanish Music upon others was a constant issue. The only pool currently is the Mares, and it is a dedicated activity pool with music and microphone dialogue.

Playa Costa Verde: Great Resort, Amazing Staff

This was our 7th visit.Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff My home away from home. Although the buffet was a little less desirable, there was always something to eat. The staff are amazing. Always pleasant, go the extra mile to make our stay much more fun. Thanks Roberto for my nightly spanish coffee. Perfecto!! Iberostar Selection Holguin: Very clean, and comfortable resort

The hotel was modern looking. Very clean. The rooms were the best I've seen in Cuba. Beds were comfortable. Staff was pleasant. Food was good, and there was plenty of variety. Store was very small, so make sure to bring everything that you need with you. Shower was luxurious, and towels were top grade. Beach was small, but we did have access to the Playa Pasquero Beach.

Playa Pesquero: Excellent resort

They are having problems with the pool right now, we dont use the pool, the beaches are beautiful and very clean, the people at the beach that help with the chairs are very good, the food is not to bad but they need a better selection, no problem with breakfast, we had lunch at the beach some time and it was good, also the pizza is good, the people at the bar and front desk are amazing, the rooms are very clean, the lobby is spotless, they have a returning customers a gala dinner and the food w [... read more]as excellent, we gave been there many times. All in all we reccomend this resort.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Relaxing

Grounds at hotel are amazing.. seen workers doing maintenance every day with tree And bush trimming , my room was freshly painted and beds where very comfortable with clean white sheets that were not stained.. AnD nice pillows.. cold water in shower most of the week which was disappointing. Light bulbs seemed to be missing in lamps in the room.. dining- buffets looked clean and service was good. Was surprised with no tomotoes potatoes or luttuce and no fries AMD was served banana clips all week . Yucky.. I know things are at shortage now so maybe that's what was going on.. now I heard from others on different resorts they did have potatoes.. the drinks from lobby bar especially Spanish coffees where great AMD reception bar did a nice job also with different drinks . Music was very loud in lobby bar . Beach is amazing AMD most lounger where good.. lots of cjaors this tome of year AMD staff willing to help get u one of u needed one.. security seemed great.. reception workers where helpful and friendly.. we had a good week.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Beautiful Beach & Room

Overall we had a great time at Brisas Guardalavaca. The beach is beautiful. Room (Villa) was clean. We never had an problem finding meals. The only issue is if you go to the buffet late the food is almost gone because the Cuban's staying at the resort tend to take over. We found if we went early everything was plentiful. The coffee and breakfast at the restaurant is fantastic. We did have 2 of our towels stolen off our 2nd floor balcony. That was very disappointing. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Impeccable

Amazing resort, room was specious and very clean. The grounds were kept very clean. The fact that everything was with 5min waking distance was a huge plus . Spa area and services were impeccable, rates for messages, pedi etc are very inexpensive and when booking a service you get access of the spa area, salt water pool, hot tub, private beach . The people in the resort were amazing . I had a late flight the hotel gave me the room until 4 pm at no cost to me If you want peace and tranquility this is the place . Did I mention that the swim with dolphins is a mere 7min away and aquarium is build in the ocean

Playa Pesquero: Great time

Hotel was clean and everything was good Staff was extremely good. Everyone was helpful. Pool and beach spectacular Snorkelling and catamaran was fabulous Lobster dinner on the beach lots of fun went on jeep exclusion had a fabulous time. Third time there!

Playa Pesquero: Our Playa Pesquero

This was our first trip since we canceled our trip in March 2020. Covid was hitting us hard and now after our trip to Playa Pesquero we see how hard the resorts were hit. This resort is starting to recover but as anytime something is closed it's a start up process that will take sometime to get up and running 100%. All the staff that are there working are very accommodating. The shows were shown and were amazing Some of the food was limited in selection like the fruit and some of the selection at the a la carts but the servers were there to help with food serving in the buffet witch made for a cleaner feeling. The lighting on some walk ways at night were out and made getting around a little confusing. Overall, considering these times it's a great resort.

Iberostar hotel amazing the service excellent the grounds incredible beautiful beach unfortunately the food is very poor many essentials such as tomatoes potatoes mint for mojitos not available Cuba is suffering from supply issues very sad

Brisas Guardalavaca: This hotel is lives up to its 3 stars.

Nadejda. My husband and I have been to Brisas Guardalavaca for the 5th time for 2 weeks. Hotel near the ocean, beautiful sandy beach. The staff at the hotel is very friendly, trying to make our relaxation comfortable. We like this hotel. One minus: monotonous tasteless food, few vegetables, 2 days there was no fruit, bottle of water is not put in the room... Playa Costa Verde: Amazing resort definitely go back

Every clean resort room was amazing . Plenty to eat and drink Entertainment was very good Beach was beautiful . We will be back We meet amazing people there Rolando, Kenia , Dilia, Maylin and many more . Beautiful people . ❤️❤️❤️

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Restful Holiday

We started off with a Junior Luxury Oceanview suite, however it was very tired and had an odor from being closed up for so long. We were lucky to be able to upgrade to the Royal Service and this did not disappoint! The beach is nice, but nicer beach if you walk down further. Strangely the adult only Royal Service beach is also a public beach that was frequented by local families. Food was ok, we did not starve. You need to go with an open mind and accept pretty much what is presented to you.  [... read more] A La Carte's require men to wear long pants, however it was acceptable to wear track pants, pajamas, acid wash ripped jeans, but linen shorts is a strict NO NO! No COVID concerns. We enjoyed our time there. Would not likely go return...so many other options out there.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Still our favorite hotel

Well.. I have zero complaints about the hotel. I've been there over a dozen times, as well as many other resorts. Brisas Guardalavaca has amazing staff, an excellent public relations staff, very good entertainment department,.. they do a very good job considering what the current conditions of Cuba are. That being said, there are several disappointing things. The lack of availability for things, (food, beverage, water) They try hard to make tourists happy. But it is not what it used to be. The r [... read more]esort, in my opinion, is overpriced for what you get. They ran out of bottled water, and I had to buy it off the resort. There was zero soft drinks available, only fruity sweet syrup blends. Not good for a diabetic. Of course there's no shortage of beer. There are a lot of Cubans at the resort, which for me is not a problem, this is why I go there. However, because if the lack of things available to the Cuban public, they rape the hotel of everything. Take entire trays of meats, cheeses, bread, etc.. back to their tables, and stuff it in their purses/backpacks. Very disheartening behavior. Still.. this will not put me off going there.. I'm going back in December. I will bring another two suitcases of things to give away. Anything helps. Sunwing, Air Transat, and Trip Central need to know how horrible the conditions are, and severely readjust their travel prices accordingly!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Expectations met

A civilized, beautiful and well-maintained place with friendly stuff, a comfortable room, tasty food. A nearby beach will not disappoint even a picky guy. Pool water was clear, but I didn't swim in the pool. I came to Cuba to swim in "real water" of the Atlantic Ocean.

It was so wonderful to finally be able to go back. My sister, brother and I have been travelling to Cuba for years. This was our 4th time to this resort. Staff are so warm and kind. Beach is fantastic ! Pool and surrounding grounds are well kept and pleasing to the eyes. Rooms are very clean with lots of attention to detail.
