Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Amazing Resort

This was our first trip since covid, we usually travel twice a year and where not disappointed! Here's the reality covid has changed some things but they made it easy and worked hard to make sure we were always taken care of. Resort itself is just beautiful, rooms, landscaping and layout is fantastic. We stayed adult side and enjoyed every minute at the pool. The staff, restaurants and food where fantastic! Great selection, lots to choose from, we did find lunch a bit lacking on the adult side b [... read more]ut noticed they started a lunch grill station and every day it got better and better so they are on it. The only one negative is the nightlife...its available at the main bar and it is thriving as is the disco BUT it's also with kids...meaning 18 yr Olds as they can drink are over taking the space and just wasn't for us. I highly suggest they turn the adult lobby area with a bar no one uses into the adult club at night or put an older age limit at the disco. But that's all I can say in the way of a negative everything was A+

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Will definitely return to this resort!

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel! The grounds were spotless, no garbage anywhere, empty dishes were picked up immediately. Someone was always cleaning tables floors and bathroom. They went to great lengths to keep the property clean. They enforced mask rules during buffet dinners, food handlers always wore gloves. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We stayed in the adults only club side ( elegance package) comes with a personal butler. This was well worth the upgrade as Alexa our butler was absolutely amazing. She took care of everything and I mean everything. large number of bars and restaurants, food and drinks were amazing in every restaurant. I recommend the steak house and Italian. Never had a problem getting a pool chair as staff brings them to you and monitor towels without anyone there, I loved this feature! Pools were great and lots of them and very clean. The day and night entertainment were amazing. Always something going on but you only had to participate if you wanted. If you are looking for fun in the sun or a relaxing vacation away, they offer both. But what makes this resort the best I’ve been to ( I have been to 7) is definitely the staff. The resort is 5 stars the staff are 10 stars. From our personal butler ( Alexa), bartenders ( Rogelio, Abby, Isai and Limbeth), entertainment star (Andrea) to night time server (Ever), yes I remember all their names, they are that good! I would highly recommend this resort, you will not be disappointed.

Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Friendly interactive courteous staff

Surprisingly spacious grounds and clean. Breakfast was always adequate, plentiful and changing daily. Always felt safe when walking or taking the bus in our area. Busy area always something to see or do with restaurants and markets everywhere.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Would recommend

We booked our trip (two couples) approximately 3-4 weeks prior to arrival. The transfer to the resort was easy and stress free. Upon arrival we were given a cold drink and registered into the resort. Not staffs fault but very hard to hear them speaking behind the plexi glass and masks. Rooms were large and clean, although could use some TLC. Would recommend this resort for someone but I don’t think we’d go back only because I found the resort and surrounding area a bit too busy for us, maybe it was everyone booking trips once the restrictions were lifted. Hyatt Zilara Cancun: The staff were AWESOME!

It was so great to travel to Cancun and every last detail, from the food, the service and the details like cabana view at poolside were all 5 stars at the Hyatt Zilara! Can’t wait to go again in Oct!

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Good Hotel for Families

There are some things that didn't suit us at this resort perhaps largely due to the huge surge in occupancy. It is on a windy stretch and the ocean water is very turbulent most of the time. And contrary to what most people have reported ...there is sargassum in the water and on shore.Not as bad as further down the coast but there none the less. No peace and quiet at all. The boom boom music from the pool bars is non stop accompanied by lots of screaming partiers. There was no quiet area that we could find. The resort is a beautiful property and extremely well maintained. All areas were clean. The staff is amazing and service was great in all venues. That's quite an achievement given the place was at max capacity. Top shelf booze is available and drinks are good. Maid service is spot on and the mini bar was always replenished. The coffee bar was a favourite in the morning and mid afternoon. The piano bar's acoustics are terrible. So when occupied in the evening it's impossible to converse and is like being in an echo chamber. The same applies to the halls at night ... sound bounces and gets amplified. You will hear the theatre show in your room until it ends. The food was good. Lots of choice. A lot of people appear to never have seen food before LOL. Can't say it was exceptional but it was all fresh and plentiful. Good for an AI. If you enjoy fish and seafood you will find it quite satisfying. They have Indio beer and it was a treat with meals. Overall we think your experience will improve when capacity isn't at peak anymore. BTW the airport experience is actually worse than it's ever been , especially on return to Canada.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Riu in March 2022

This is a lovely hotel with excellent service. The staff are friendly and wore masks at all times. Sanitizer was available every time you went to buffet. Check in was easy but we did find it difficult to find our rooms. When we saw a Riu employee, he was kind enough to take us right to our room. The room itself was very musty smelling, especially the drawers. However, the following day after the maids were in, it no longer smelled musty - had a very fresh smell like the main lobby. Ou [... read more]r only disappointment was the beach - so much seaweed. It was very, very windy with strong waves so we were unable to go in the water as we normally would. This of course is not the fault of the hotel. The drink staff on the beach were really good.

Hard Rock Hotel Cancun: Family vacation

We were 6 of us and we had the family room deluxe , food was excellent entertainment was amazing and the overall holiday was awesome We made memories we will keep forever We did not do any of the water activities but would definitely want to try next time

TRS Coral: Full value property

The hotel, staff and experience were all as promised and top-notch. We had an incredibly relaxing time with lots to do (or not do) as we chose. The restaurants were excellent, the service impeccable. I especially appreciated the access to the Rafa Nadal tennis complex.

Riu Dunamar: Great water activities, food could be better

Great beach, lots of waves (Sargassum can be an issue), great pools, great water park. Staff is really nice and friendly. Food could be better, the a la carte dinner restaurant system is a nightmare, since people have to line up or wait for a long time (with a beeper), because there are no reservations. People cannot ask for special drinks at any of the restaurants; only soft drinks, draft beer or wine. In other resorts, a la carte restaurants not only offer cocktails but also offer premium  [... read more]brands. I was able to visit 3 of the a la carte restaurants and found that the wait was not worth it, specially at the asian restaurant that is also a buffet... Another one seemed to always be closed. I found that at the buffet restaurant the most popular items would run out quite fast and would take time for them to be replaced (eg ketchup, syrup, guacamole). Finally there was no room service which is very useful specially with small children. The rooms are spacious, almost no decoration, the bathrooms are also spacious, but hand only soap, body wash/shampoo and towels are offered, none of the other things that can be found at other hotels is offered at this one (body lotion, mouth wash, sawing kit, conditioner, shower cap etc...). Finally quite a few times they ran out of clean beach towels and people would have to wait to get new ones (even tough the resort limits to 2 changes of towels per day per room).

Riu Caribe Cancun: Fantastic hotel

Older hotel but very clean. Staff was great - was greeted by name by the waiters in the restaurant. Beach was kept clear of seaweed. Never any long lines at the front desk or at the bars. Room was cleaned daily. A great experience and would love to come back!

Paradisus Cancun: Cancun 2022

Beach - Lovely sand & great for walking/ ocean for swimming. Red Flags for strong under current/rip tide. National guard and police patrolled the beach on ATVs. Very safe. Resort- 5 pyramids connected through passageways. You can stay inside or walk outside to arrive at your destination ( spa, restaurant, hospitality suite). We stayed in the Reserve. It was worth the added expense (reservations for dinner, Bali beds, etc).The resort is now at 90% capacity. The atrium decor has tropical foliage, [... read more] koi fish, ponds. Excellent Nespresso coffee stand and snack bar. COVID- staff prefers you mask indoors. However, the staff indicated that it depends on your country of origin if you mask indoors. Our group of 6 masked indoors consistently. We all had covid within the last 90 days and have been vaccinated. Majority of people did not mask indoors as it was not enforced. Although to enter restaurants you were required to wear a mask until seated ( similar to Canadian protocols). We booked (upon arrival) our return antigen test for 430pm on our last day (Friday). We received 5/6 test results (NEG) promptly. No records were found for my 15 year old until 20 min before our airport shuttle departure (Sat). Plan B was to obtain a test at the airport. Staff- service was excellent. Thank you Moises, Jose, Maximus, Galdino & many more. Hardworking and very pleasant.  They were extremely accommodating. We connected with our Reserve concierge through WhatsApp. We could text at any time to make plans or ask for drinks/snacks for our room bar fridge.  One of our rooms was in a party zone so they were moved to a different floor after banging and knocking on doors occurred after “quiet” hours. Gym- this would be less than ideal for the amount of people at the resort. Not enough gear or free weights. In pre covid times, I assume classes would occur in 2 of the fitness rooms ( spin, yoga?). Again, we masked to attend then removed the mask when exercising in a spot ( similar to Canadian rules). Food & beverage-Lots of margaritas. Buffet had many selections.We had great meals. Of course the 2 Mexican restaurants were our favorites. Beautiful resort. I would highly recommend a vacation to The Paradisus for families, couples, and groups. Please improve weight room.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Outstanding!

This is by far the best resort we have ever been to. Everything they had to offer met our standards and exceeded our expectations. The grounds are immaculate, all facilities have been played out with thought and the beach was excellent for lounging and walking.

Atelier Playa Mujeres: Atelier great resort

The Atelier Playa Mujeres might be the nicest resort in the Caribbean, I have stayed at several of the higher end resorts in Mexico and other island locations Atelier was the nicest. For sure the food was a step above, the breakfast buffet was great with lots of options and the dinner restaurants were all great. We ate at all of them and were not disappointed by any of them, they were all great in there own way and uniquely different. The staff and service at this resort are great the Inspira beach area staff were a pleasure to deal with always available for drinks, food or to help you find a relaxing spot. Special shout out to Sergio, Gerardo, and Carlos who took care of us on the beach each day and also Roberto (hope I remembered the name correctly) in the Italian restaurant a real professional waiter for sure. There are so many others I could name, but I can’t remember them all let’s just say all staff did a great job. This resort is fairly new two years old it is spotless, the rooms are big the bathroom we had was huge and well appointed. The pool and beach area’s are large with plenty of seating we could always find a place to relax. There are lots of bar’s to get a drink from so you seldom had to wait if you did go to the bar the servers made this just a reason to go for a stroll they were always there when needed. Covid procedures are in place but not pushed to an uncomfortable level. We where here to try and forget two years of Covid and with everyone vaccinated and all staff masked at all times it really was not a concern, came home Covid free. I highly recommend this resort and would definitely return in the future.

Hotel very nice and clean Food always fresh staff very friendly beach nice and clean We have very nice weather But still windy yellow and red flag every day i heard it's normal for Cancun all of that 4.5. Bus left 10:30 (I know time was shifting) but we was on front lobby at 10. But it was 11 i guess. No problem they order taxi to airport and tools us sorry we will pay for But after all I pay 110 us dollars and guys from sunwing at the airport was very wondering And told me we can do nothing I will try to claim at least taxi. Don't know story about environment fees i been few times in Mexico never pay fees at the hotel

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Resort was nice but food was average

We stayed for 5 days in planet hollywood cancun .overall resort is good but food was average. Pools and activities are good kids had fun in lazy river and pools .beach was clean white sand beach. comparatively drinks and food was not great...not too many options in lunch specially.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Awesome resort.

Piano in lounge was noisy and hard to hear for all of us when in a conversation. Suggest soft music and piano in a more outside area. Would of liked more washrooms. entertainment 9am instead of 9:30. Bar closer to beach. Overall it was an awesome resort. Also room 4071 had a bowl they just purchased removed from their room and not returned. This was Nancy and Jim’s room

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Relaxing expansive beautiful resort

Pros: great service, friendly staff, excellent food (exception: chicken enchiladas were bland), plentiful drinks and accommodating bartenders who welcomed our crazy cocktail suggestions! Despite lack of reservations always got a seat at the restaurant of our choice - favourites were Fusion and Japanese and the Buffet. Just keep aware of which days they are closed(!) The ocean was warm, sea bottom very clean ! The surf was very calm the first few days and exciting roller-surf the last few! The sand is a cardio-challenge but you will adapt quickly! So many pools to choose from and we loved the gazebo awnings - sun when you wanted it, shade when you needed it. Pools with swim up bars were not crowded and kept very clean. Pool rules strictly enforced - especially kids kept out of adult only pools. Plenty of activity choices to suit anyone! Nightly shows were entertaining.Hint: use the app to keep track of what is going on. It is a very large spread out resort so you will do a lot of walking but it balances out all of the eating… :-) Well manicured property and very elegant decor and hardscapes. Plenty of places to hang out with others or be private with your SO. This resort is quiet and relaxing- you will need to do excursions or go next door to the disco for a noisier livelier crowd. There were some children staying there but most families stayed next door at the Dunamar. (The water park is shared between them). The rooms are lovely, and they were super clean. Room service and minibar service was good. Con: only one - the mattress in our room was mushy and the edges were all worn and collapsed/ nonexistent! Easy fix - just get better mattresses! COVID: the resort handled the protocols very well and I felt safe during our entire stay.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort

This was truly a five star ⭐️ hotel. The hotel was open and spacious, the rooms were nice, the beach was spectacular with powder sand and well placed palm trees. The water was clear and warm with no seaweed on beach. The food was excellent in all restaurants including the buffet. The staff was attentive and overall everything was clean and beautiful.

Moon Palace Cancun: Wonderful experience!

This resort is large, well maintained and focused on catering to its guests. The food was high quality. We found many of the a la cart restaurants to be the best we have ever enjoyed. The staff were all kind and attentive. Rooms were clean and well appointed with CHI blow dryers, flat irons and hair products! We are planning a return visit! Every staff wore their masks at all time and there was a high attention to hand sanitizing and cleanliness in general.
