We had a awesome time at this resort, and the people that work there are amazing, so friendly and certainly accommodating . It was s blast and we certainly recommend this hotel to everyone. Located close to shopping and some great restaurants adds to this resort! Looking for a great getaway for a great cost this is the one for you, our second time there and we seen the improvements since we were last there. The sports and entertainment group is the best, thanks for the fantastic vacation !

Riu Emerald Bay: Convenient, easy vacation
RIU had everything for a simple and smooth vacation. Right on the beach. Nice pools. Plenty of loungers. Restaurants and bars were handy to the pool and beach areas. Waiter service was a bit hit and miss, but that was a minor irritation.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Great experience!
This resort exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Royal Service option is a must! The private pool in the Royal Service location is beautiful. Never any problems finding lounge chairs around the pool or the beach. Shout out to Alfredo, Hector and Cristina at the Royal Service pool bar and Elias & Daniel at the pool concierge. Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Great spot but...
This was the third time at Sheraton Buganvillias for us and we were a little disappointed this time. All the renos are amazing, the rooms, the restaurants and the Starbucks in the lobby. The staff is great as always but the food this year was not great. We were disappointed in the a la cart restaurants the most, the food was adequate at best and never hot. At the breakfast buffet there was never bacon and we found out you had to ask for it. Why?? Our favorite part of this resort is the pool but [... read more]this year the water was so warm you could never get cooled off. We will think twice about coming back again.

Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Excellent location!
The hotel is dated, but they are working on upgrades. The lobby, dining rooms and pools appear new. It appears they are working through the floors gradually. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is superb. The food was okay. At times it wasn't hot. At lunch and supper there was always a pork, beef, chicken and fish dish. Steamed veggies at every meal. Not once was there any guacamole or fresh salsa - something that I was looking forward too. Many of the guests were repeater[... read more]s. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great vacation!
We've just came back home from Grand bahia principe Coba (Jan 11-18, 2019). We are a family of four : 2 adults + 2 kids ( 6 and 8 y.o.).
The whole family loved the hotel and will definitely come back again ( though I'm the person who prefers not to go to the same hotel twice). The hotel is huge. It's so large that you have to take the shuttles ( trains/electro cars) to get to the spot you need. All of us were so much entertained with this rides that we really loved doing that. We resided at Gr[... read more]and Bahia principe Coba but we were allowed to use all of the facilities of Grand Bahia principe Tulum as well. And vice versa, the residents of GBP Tulum attended any of Coba's restaurants, bars, night shows, kids water park etc. So it actually means that when booking a trip to GBP Coba you get the better option having access to another big neighboring hotel and its facilities.
The hotel grounds are gorgeous! Everything is blossoming and tidy. Lots of animals ( iguanas, capybaras, raccoons, birds). The staff of the hotel is very helpful and friendly. Everything is so perfectly organized ( events, or cleaning, or repairs, or gardening). You just see the result!
The main buffet in GBP Coba is excellent! Such a great variety of meat, vegies, condiments, seafood! There is always something for your taste!
The advantage of GBP Coba is its aquazone for kids. So most of the tourists with kids are concentrated there. Personally we preferred to go to the GBP Tulum as it had the beach area.
Big pools everywhere, but like I said we went to the sea. The beach is not the best one, but provided with lounge chairs, shade, bar and they constantly clean it from the weeds. So you can always find a spot for you there. The water is clear, the bottom is with stones in places, but there are also clean sandy areas and I had no problems stepping in.
I attended a balloon party in Hacienda and then went to a disco there. Hacienda is the area (close to GBP Tulum lobby) with all of the souvenir shops, disco, bars, casino, doctors office, pharmacy.
The night shows were good. The kids mini disco was average.
We resided in block 24 B. Our room #32422 (2nd floor) was good, always cleaned ( pics attached), everything was in a working condition, but I think it was always too humid in it. All of my clothes are wet by touch and my hair was always curly when I was in a room.
The overall experience was great! It's one of the best trips ever ( I travel a lot). Will definitely recommend this hotel and will come back again if I have this option.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Good resort
Resort was nice. Food was good, buffets generally had the same things, but you could always find something good to eat. À la carte restaurants were very good. Maintenance of the building could be better, parts of the ceiling in one of the main areas was falling down after raining. Overall, for the price everything was good.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: A family affair
Hotel had a lot to offer everyone in our group, from 5 years old to 75 years young. Food was consistently good, pool was beautiful and beach location exquisite. Larger resort than we have previously experienced so less of a community feel among guests and staff. But overall, the evening shows were breath taking and the experience was a good one.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Absolutely Amazing Resort!
Our travel agent, Karol Chareza has been telling us about this amazing resort and how awesome it is for years. We finally got to see it for ourselves. My family and I stayed at the Barceló Maya Palace for 10 days in January 2019. It was everything my family and I expected and more.
The rooms were spacious and very clean. We had fresh towels each day and the in room bar fridge was stocked daily with drinks and snacks.
The food at the La carts, was amazing and there was always somethi[... read more]ng for each of us that we really enjoyed. The buffet's had so many options to choose from. We never went hungry!
The PEOPLE that work at this resort are over the top amazing. Very happy to help and always greeting you with a smile. We ate at the Marenostrum were we met two terrific guys, Mario and Antonio. They were the best. They made us a Mayan Coffee. What a show that was and the coffee tasted amazing!
We also met Nelson at the Brasserier. He takes service to a whole new level. He made sure we were enjoying the food, drinks and atmosphere. He took the time to talk with us and gave us tips about the report so we didn't miss out on the events around the resort. These are just a few guys that helped to make this trip more amazing. All the employees were over the top amazing!
We really enjoyed the beach. The sea turtle were right there and we swam with them each day and really enjoyed feeding them bananas. The pools were a tad on the cold side, so we mostly hung out at the beach. We enjoyed every minute.
We also swam with the Dolphins that were right there at the resort. Very convenient.
We did a day tour to Cozumel. Booking this trip was seamless. The resort travel group took care of everything. We were picked up and dropped off on time.
This resort had everything you needed. There was a mall on site, a bowling ally, lost of shops around to purchase any souvenirs and you did not have to walk far to get to everything. There was a bus that went to each resort all day so you could get around very quickly.
This was my family's fist tropical trip together and we are already planning to return. It was so much fun and we would recommend this resort to all our friends.
Thank you Karol for helping us set up this amazing trip. You always know how to send us to the best places. :)

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Come with me to La Penita
On January 1, 2019, my husband and I checked into our all-inclusive hotel chosen for us by our travel agent , Felicia Grasso from tripcentral.ca..
Neither of us had been on a tropical vacation since the mid-1980's and we were overwhelmed by the options and information we found on the internet. I called tripcentral.ca and spoke with Felicia Grasso and communicated what we wanted and needed as well as our time frame and budget. She confidently said 'leave it with me and I will get back to you be[... read more]fore 7pm tonight' which was in less than 4 hours. She called back in good time with our itinerary including preferences as well as suggestions she had made on our behalf - and by 7pm we were booked and paid for.
Fast forward to one week post return and both my husband and I can say it couldn't have been a more perfectly wonderful vacation or destination. It was my desire to visit La Penita where my mother had often stayed when she was living and I wanted to experience what had drawn her there but only knew the name of the town and was ignorant of its whereabouts. Both my husband and I were concerned about our health and well-being while traveling to unknown territory and it turned out that
Felicia's recommendations and suggestions were ideal.
We stayed at The Hotel Descameron Los Cocos in Rincon de Guiyabidas, an oceanside all-inclusive resort near enough to La Penita that we could either cycle or taxi there from our hotel in less than 20 minutes. As well as cycling, we enjoyed daily walks and swimming, resting and sleeping, eating, reading, dancing, exploring, snorkeling, boating, hiking, shopping, and making friends wherever we went either at the hotel or out and about.
The atmosphere, the ethos of the community within both the hotel as well as in the townships of Guayabidas and La Penita was warm and welcoming and felt safe. The hotel was incredibly well managed and staffed. My husband and I both commented several times that it operated like a well-oiled machine 24 hours a day and met all our physical needs beyond either of our expectations as well as offering a variety of entertainment and services besides the impeccable maintenance of our rooms.
The staff were excellent and so very kind, gracious and helpful. Drinkable water was always available and we were made to feel at home and welcome at all times, day or night.
We fully intend to return and have enjoyed sharing our amazing adventure with our friends and family. We highly recommend Felicia's services via tripcentral.ca and not only thank her for the trip of a lifetime, but fully intend to book with her again.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing resort!
This resort has the best of everything! You want to chill, party, do excursions, you have it all at your fingertips! 3 resorts are tied together, my recommendation is to stay at the Riu Palace and you’ll have access to the other 2 (Baja and SantaFe). The palace is super clean, elegant, staff is friendly, room service is around the clock, fridge is always refilled (especially w water), food variety is amazing compared to other resorts. We’re definitely going back!!! ;)

Riu Palace Baja California: Wonderful adult only resort
Checking was quick.
Room was spacious, very clean, could of had blackout curtains.
Coffee was available in the room but no tea was available.
There must be a unit that could make coffee and tea with hot water without the coffee flavor residuals.
Water was readily available, ran low once but phone and water was delivered in less than 10 minutes.
Dining- overall adequate. New resort still on a learning curve. E.G. eggs not always cooked throughly, easy over still runny, bacon inconsistent, some[... read more]times burnt, rice sometimes over cooked.
Coffee came in crafts but tea served in 1 cup pots. Would of been nice if there were some crafts for tea only.
Buffet was my go to.Restaurents don’t take reservations so at times waites were up to two hours.....back to the buffet. Not all restaurants open all of the time, they rotate a couple of them during the week.
Hotel staff very friendly but as mentioned, still a learning curve for some due to this RIU just opening in December 2018.
Grounds very clean.
Pools were clean and warm, refreshing though.
Towels were still given out in exchange for the cards, which seems somewhat antiquated these days.
I’m sure this resort will be a full 5 star in the near future.
Just returned from Iberostar Lindo in the Mayan Riviera.....had a great holiday with my Daughter...
I love this resort...Staff are very helpful, pleasant and hard working...property is beautiful...well maintained..our room was very clean and well stocked..including various drinks in the fridge...We stayed in building 51 which was near the pools and not far from the beach...lots of shaded areas for those who do not like sun around the pool..but the same for the sun lovers...grass covered shades [... read more]are plentiful on the beach and around the pool...pool was rather chilly..but on a hot day...who cares..you get used to it..the sea was warmer...and not too rough while we were there..sandy, clean , minimal seaweed...and was whisked away by the tractor rakes daily.....we stayed around the pool most afternoons.my daughters choice.lots of activity going on for anyone who wanted to get involved..tremendous bar service poolside by staff ...most days Angela was our server..she was fantastic..friendly and courteous..the inpool bar was inviting too..
Beds were comfortable..many eating areas to select from during the day...plentiful fruit ..and food selections...we enjoyed the speciality restaurants we went to..especially Japanese..
This is a large resort and we were near the beach..there are many golf cart like buses that travel around and you can just hop on and get to destination..alternately you can call for one ..there is one or two Conceirges available in each building, so makes things like booking specialty restaurants easy...getting a ride....as well as passing any concerns to the right department.
There is a “shopping plaza†on the grounds that has a few stores ....but there also is a small casino located there..a disco if you have interest..a place where kids can get cotton candy and other sweets which is included in your package.. a merry-go-round.. ...as well as a fantastic crepe bar..we loved that place..yum..also a place to get your speciality coffees and latees etc..donuts and sandwiches..’(there also is another coffee shop like this open 24 hrs a day just through the main lobby to the left in the Lindo)
Transportation was on time and efficient to and from the airport...

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Vacation not as planed
wife and I booked a vacation at Holiday Inn Los Cabos Mexico, all was fine till we arrived and my wife wanted an ocean view room instead of garden view, the clerk said it would be an extra $ 60 dollars with no further questions or explanation I agreed to pay for an ocean view room. Room was very nice with a safe that was open, we were not familiar with the how to program the safe and thought it would also be an extra charge to use the safe so didn't bother asking, my wife put her credit cards di[... read more]vers licences and $ 500.00 Canadian under the mattress thinking if someone comes to steal something they would not look under the mattress, instead just grabbing something quickly that is visible and run out. The charge to my visa was just over $7900.00 pesos, not being familiar with the money exchange didn't question it till the next day when I exchanged $ 100 Canadian dollars and received almost $ 1400 pesos, doing the math in my head quickly I concluded the $7900.00 pesos was not equal to nowhere near 60 dollars...the clerk at the desk said the charge was correct for it is 60 dollars a night.. (didn't say that last night) I thought that was too much for my budget and asked the manager if we could go back to garden view room, Manager said they would charge me for the one night and switch rooms, Agreed and said thank you very much.. very honest and nice. when moving out of the room my wife forgot about the money and cards under the mattress, just one hour after we remembered and quickly asked at the desk if we could go back to get the money, we got to the room and it was already made up and clean, there was no money or cards under the mattress. We explained to the manager that the only possible culprit could be the cleaning lady because she is the only person that was in the room since and the only person that would go under the mattress when she tucks the bed sheet under. Manager said not to worry Sir. they would scan the lock to see who all entered the room and security would investigate, we showed the security guard the exact spot where the money was as requested then he started his investigation, he tore the room apart turning over both beds TV stand sofa the fridge and night stands cloths closet, thought that was strange since we should him the exact sport on the one bed. Then we all went back to our new room and he tore that room apart also looking in my wife's purse. Talking to the manager the next day when he informed us that the cleaning lady said she didn't find anything in the room, that we have no proof the money was there, we have no proof the cleaning lady took the money and the hotel's policy is that they are not responsible for guests belongings. Thought the hole fiasco of tearing up the two rooms and whole investigation filling out forms was all for show when that one policy (we are not responsible for guests belongs) wipes out all of the above... I think of my self as a logical person and try to live my life by some king of logic in every situation and I do agree that if the hotel's policy was any different that there would be a lot of fraudulent claims buy your guests and the hotel would go bank-roped very quickly... it would also be very difficult to keep track of everyone's belongings for the hotel so the only protection and logical policy would be ( we are not responsible) so the hotel can not control the guests.....
I must add a small amount of people are aware of this policy for if they new hotels are not responsible they would be scared to even travel. But the hotel can control the staff. See the staff knows the hotels policy and know there will be no investigation or reprimand if they are accused of any theft, with that in their mind there is no fear or much thought given when the opportunity to take something arrives. I make $ 500 dollars in two days, the cleaning lady in Mexico has to work a whole month for that so I can see why she would want to keep it... but on the other hand I am sure many other guests leave a tip on the bed every day for them. in my case it was $ 5 dollars.
if the employees new that the hotels policy is that if an employee is accused of stealing if the evidence is pointing only to them they would be fired, then when they are faced with a decision of do I keep this $ 500 dollars and risk loosing my $ 30.000 dollar job over this $ 500 dollar. (most people are logical) I think there would be a lot less claims from guests and the hotel would have better rating with lot less negative reviews. in this case the employees are biting the hand that feeds them and making bad reviews for the hotel that they them selves make a living at... knowingly or not.
Dear Madam/Sir. judging by the size of your multi Billion dollar company who am I a poor carpenter to tell you what to do, you're obviously in business many years and are making a profit every year and consider the poor reviews not to be that important but given the logical person that I am, if your company is doing so well with bad reviews it would be doing so much better with great reviews... it would not take a great expense to achieve either, just change your policy with your employees.
So just thing about this in some kind of logic, you spent over half a million dollars on the locks on the doors to protect the guests and you give master keys to your employees. and your policy gave them free rain for they know there will be no reprimand. ( NOT LOGICAL )
WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOUR REPLY...
Vince.
