Ocean Blue and Sand: Can't wait to go back!!

Our family of 3 really enjoyed this resort. This was our first visit to this resort and our second to Punta Cana. The lobby area was grand with lots of comfortable seating and lively evenings. The grounds are well kept and very clean. We had a pool view room in building 9. The room was clean and well stocked with toiletries and mini bar. The food was good. We really liked the Italian and Japanese restaurants. The steakhouse was ok also. We did not enjoy the sports bar food. The buffet was great with lots of choices. We enjoyed the entertainment. The beach party on Wednesday night was awesome and the foam party on Saturday afternoon was a highlight. The amazing entertainment staff go out of their way to make sure everyone has fun! Overall, I would absolutely recommend this resort. It offered great value and amazing memories.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Amazing resort!

Restort was great but with the amount of people I’d suggest more chairs around the pool and beach area. The beach also wasn’t the cleanest (seaweed, garbage, cigarette butts, etc). Overall we did have a blast and would return given the chance

Weare Cadaques Bayahibe: Great resort!

First of all I would like to Thank Heather Maclntyre for booking us a great vacation through Tripcentral. She made us feel at ease and well looked after, we will always recommend her and Tripcentral to friends and family . When we arrived two lovely ladies greeted us with a welcome drink. We told them we didn’t have anything to eat all day and was wondering if their snack bar was opened. She ordered the trolley car to come pick us up and take us to the dining room for dinner. The chef opened the grill and made us grilled chicken and French fries. It was delicious!!!😊 Our first night in our room wasn’t so good.😩 we had a toilet that was broken an air conditioner that didn’t work and a patio door that didn’t lock. We took it to the front desk in the morning and they moved us to a beautiful suite. We found everyone on this resort was very accommodating. The Grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The Food was good but needs more variety. No A la Cartes on this resort very disappointing. We have been to the DR 6 times and I have always been told when you book an all inclusive everything is free. On this resort if you ordered off the menu you had to pay. At the bars all drinks are usually free but at this resort you only had a few drinks to pick from and they were so disgusting you couldn’t drink them they tasted like perfume, very disappointed! When we asked for a drink of the Barcelo Rum ,they said we had to pay for it. Having said all that overall we loved our vacation. This resort just needs to work out a few minor details and upgrade things to an all inclusive! We were told they are putting in 2 A la Carts .😊

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: FANTASIC VACATION

THE GOOD:-- FOOD, all buffets and al a carte excellent. A few morning buffets you could tell the main chef was off as the food was stale . SEAFOOD NIGHT WAS AMAZING. BRAZILIAN NIGHT AMAZING, DON PABLO amazing. Room service food - NOT GOOD-not a wide selection and cold. Last Day was a night mare. Our bus came for 7:30 am. We ordered breakfast night before. It came at 7:15am. An hour late. My husband is on meds that he MUST EAT. BUFFET IS CLOSED. Lucky for us bus was delayed ROOMS-  [... read more]We were in Building F , 2nd floor, wonderful view, good size, CLEAN CLEAN, I didn't hear there was a bad view or room in the place. As long as you have a view of the water it was great. JR> SUITE:We had upgraded to the JR SUITE. Size was smaller than the Superior Suite with BAY VIEW. NOT SURE WHY? SEEMS everyone had butler service too. I can;t figure it out. I do not think you need the JR SUITE because the size is the same if not smaller. I do NOT know how you get the corner suites. STAFF: ALL WONDERFUL - TO NAME A FEW EVENING BUTLERS- Marisal, Claudia, Jennifer- thank you for the wonderful scents and turndown service BULTER- Wanly- not sure I spelt that write. RM 2105 if that helps Management figure it out. GLEN- getting us towels for our day trip when hut closed ELENA- Hostess- I don't think she ever went home, what are sweet hear JORGE MANUAL/JOSE wonderful Servers and Room Service MASSAGE: Sorry I don't remember the ladies names, but it was wonderful! POOL- nice , cosy, small, warm, just lovely- Im not going to mention the SEAT HOGS. They know who they are. Same group from Canada at every hotel south. LOL BEACH: I loved it. SMALL is TRUE. But Soft , sandy, warm, clear water. LOTS OF GARBAGE FROM SHIPS EVERYDAY, STAFF KEPT IT CLEAN AS POSSIBLE. Nice area off to side to snorkel too. THE BAD: FRONT DESK STAFF- this is where you want the English speaking staff, Management. They were use less or atleast pretended to be. One guy didn't want to take to our BREAKFAST ORDER for the last day. They lead us on wild goose chases often. I will get to that later ISOLATED AND MISREPRESENTATION ON THE WEBSITE: I go to the websites for my information on properties before visiting. WHY? Because you would think this is the most updated information. At least better updated than the Tour Books. We knew the beach was small but we counted on 2 things to keep us physically moving here: 1) WATER SPORTS- kayak or wind surfing etc etc. THERE ARE NONE 2) WALK TO BEACH AND TOWN- both times we went to do this security stopped us FLAT. The road is too busy , the beach is polluted and both town and beach are unsafe. FOR $100 dollars US we could have taken a cab to town and they wait for us. Lots of wild dog packs in town. SO YES FOLKS, IF YOU ARE LIKE ME AND NEED SOMETHING TO DO AT LEAST SOME OF THE TIME OTHER THAN SITTING ON BEACH AND SWIMMING DON'T COME HERE TILL THEY GET SOME WATER SPORTS. ANDY , the sports DIRECTOR was totally confused and kept telling us one thing and then said Management responsibility The "WE" Director,( GOOD HEALTH GUY) ignored us. I think his job is to sit on his computer all day AND VICTOR( the Air Transat Rep) what a joke that was. After 3 days of explaining and explaining and explaining he decides that after our BOAT TOUR of the Los Hiatuses Nation Park , which was to end at 1pm, we would stay at the Island "Sister" Resort for lunch and Kayaking and other water sports. OF COURSE it was impossible to get a Kayak brought across the bay to our resort, even though the website and some of the tour books indicate there are water sports, and the front desk told us there were some too, they just didn't know where. LOL Back to the story, We finally got the Island at 3:30 starved and said forget this and came straight to our hotel.WHY? Because the last shuttle was at 4:20pm 1) Victor- you sent us on a FULL day and not a HALF Day tour. LOL 2) Victor- you knew full well that we would not get to the Island till 3:30-4pm and would not be able to stay as the last shuttle comes back at 4:20pm. 3) Victor and the Management took no responsibility as usual in the DR for the advertising mistakes. We were not the only guests that were upset over this. So here is my advice: If you want a hotel that is clean, about 1 hours bus ride, small beach, sandy, warm, great service, small, great food, great bar service and drinks then come here. If you want water sports or need a walk other than the treadmill , don't come here. AIR TRANSAT: Please get your flight attendants with hair down to their butts to pin it up. I sat in the aisle seat row 1 fight TS2851 March 23 from Samana to Ottawa. The Asian Flight Attendant hair was in my food, my drinks and my face. Disgusting. She flung her head back and forth every time she walked by. I will go to their website to report this too. AND FINALLY- As for those passengers that think they are going somewhere before the plan stops and the door opens. SIT THE "F" down till the plane stops and the SEAT BEALT SIGN GOES OFF. WOW HOW STUPID ARE SOME PEOPLE. That's it folks. GET WATER SPORTS AND I WILL BE BACK IN A HEART BEAT! OH AND BEV JOHNSON FROM TRIP CENTRAL YOU ARE AMAZING. YOU WERE THERE BEFORE, AFTER AND DURNING MY TRIP. Thank you

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Very Good Resort

Beautiful grounds, amazing beach very friendly staff great variety of food and drink! The rooms and resort is very modern and vary clean. Lots of room in the restaurants, buffet, at the pools and at the beach. Thanks would go again.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Awesome Time!

Hotel was great! This was my third time staying at this resort; first time on the Palace side. Although a lot busier than the Adult Only section, it was still great. From the room, to the service, food, hospitality, entertainment, I loved it! :) I always recommend this resort to others because you really can't go wrong! GREAT WORK BARCELO!

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Could be a great resort

Staff fabulous, friendly and always smiling. Buffet very good with endless selection. A la cartel not so good, over rated and over priced. Rooms not very clean, especially with hair and dust balls on floor and in corners. Liquor was watered down except after dinner liqueurs. No meant No to beach vendors.

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Nice Stay !!

We had great relaxing week. Very clean and food was typical resort food . Buffet could try to have better warming trays !!! Best thing got an Upgrade to a VILLA... Amazing... Resort was too big for us !!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: A Relaxing Trip

Even though we got there a day after a huge storm, the staff and workers got the resort cleaned up so fast. The poolside was amazing and the rooms had comfy beds. The food was good, I recommend going to the Mexican and Brazilian restaurant there. I would stay away from the nightclub above the casino please it slightly off the resort and you have to pay for drinks there. Other than that it was a great stay!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Not for us

Our second time at a Bahia resort, for us this place was simply not what it said it was, this place is not for the average family. I will give it a 5 for cleanliness. Having to wait and take a tram everywhere is not my favorite part of a vacation. The food at the buffet was plentiful but was always on the cool side even when you where there when the doors opened. The bars were poorly stocked and ran out by noon of mix and rum. Service at the bar was slow and the staff were not very friendly. The [... read more]y could improve there English skills as most of the patrons were English. Pool and beach lounges were hard to come by early in the day. It has a well maintained beach and pool area, with over flowing garbage cans by mid afternoon. Vendors are easy to find in the beach areas. My last time to a Bahia resort,

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Beautiful resort.

This was our third time at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace. The food was very good. The beach is so beautiful. Lots of activities for the whole family. There's also a water park with a wave pool. A Casino that is open 24 hours. Bowling alley for the whole family and Sports Bar that is also open 24 hours. The people that work there are all very helpful and polight. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Wonderful place

The resort was clean. The staff was friendly. Enjoyable holiday. The only complaint would be the evening entertainment was pretty boring. There was nothing for older people just for young ones who want to go to the night club.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: So so

Beach was beautiful food terrible entertainment okay but get rid of the aggressive time share guys they are annoying and way to aggressive. Food was terrible the worst I have had in the DR. Room service okay beach beautiful but I would not go back!

We very much enjoyed our first time to Punta Cana. Our travel agent Sally was very helpful. The staff at the hotel were friendly. Some of the negatives were 1. We were not made aware of the $20.00 each to leave. 2. There was no real designated smoking area which resulted in cigarette and cigar smoke everywhere. 3. The hotel keys were constantly malfunctioning. 4. The room was clean but continuously smelled of dampness and sewage oder. 5. TRS Cap Cana Hotel: Amazing week in paradise

What can i say from the resort to the staff the food the atmosphere can only be described as amazing!!! The rooms and service is great, they do all they can do to make you feel at home. We appreciated that they tried to talk to us in English as we know no Spanish at all. For sure a return trip we be had!!!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Excellent resort

Small to mid size resort, beautiful grounds, 3 a-la cart restaurants ( Mediterranean, Japanese, Mexican ) , 30 min from airport Beach was ok , pool was big. Service was great. Orchid garden, Ample of loungers

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: NO DISAPPOINTMENTS

Everything was awesome, Only complaints: gym didn't open till 7 am , and had to wake up so early to get spots by pool. Better then expected for everything from room, food, pool, beach, service, restaurants.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: beautiful resort

staff were warm and inviting. food was good. environment was well maintained, breath taking nature scene, amazing room service. there is always activities to do around the hotel. I would very much recommend this.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: A great week.

We had an amazing time during our stay at Blue Bay Villas Doradas. Nothing but great things to say about the staff, especially the party committee was very entertaining. The worst part was our small room had no balcony, but our own fault for not getting a better room package. Overall it was a good bang for our buck.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Biutifiul vacations

This is our fourth time to going to this hotel.Staff , food , friendliness and very clean rooms are always good. The weather is always nice if we are there.Beach clean and is a lots of beds to use.Sport activity amazing.
