Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: Amazing resort!

This was our second time to the Marina El Cid Resort. There were 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 teens. The kids enjoyed themselves and loved the all inclusive - especially the room service. The food was great with several a la carte restaurants to chose from and a few buffet styles. The two minor negatives that I may have is that they charge for the wifi (only 2 per room are included), which was disappointing for 2 of the kids and they did not give us adjoining rooms. The one major negative is that [... read more] they really push you to attend a 90 minute sales pitch for their Membership Club. We did it for the free message, but it was frustrating, as they don't take the NO answer to their offers, and kept sending another sales person with lower offers (3 times). They say it's not a TIME SHARING but their sales technique are the same. We also did 2 excursions, which were very fun and good, but expensive $2000. I would also suggest to go later in the year like March or April as the pools were still quite cold for me (kids didn't mind).

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Resort

Well designed and managed resort. Landscaping is excellent. Ease of movement within the resort grounds is great. Great food and very fresh fruits. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The beach is great and very clean.

Plaza Pelicanos Club: Not a bad little place.

Heads up for this place. it's not a overgrown large resort. That's not bad. Room was nice and the cleaners keep it clean. They staff keep the grounds clean and it showed. The buffet was small but ok. Breakfast was always good. Like any place there is some downside, the safes in the room are the old school ones not the digital ones. Some staff have the don't care attitude. And you have to cross the road to get to the beach. But, it's close to downtown for walking. Note if the resort does the  [... read more]dinner at the beach, plan on going in town. The food is always cold except for burgers and hotdogs. Would I stay here again? Yes, yes I would.

Allegro Cozumel: Some key points

This is a beautiful resort. Very clean and amazing landscaping. I travelled with my boyfriend of 7 years and we did truly have an amazing time. However, this is a very family friendly resort meaning there is no 24/7 bar. No real lobby bar, it’s upstairs above the lobby with a pool table and air hockey so there’s always kids around and no smoking is allowed up there. Also if you’re there for sleep request a ground floor room because the second floor has a thatched roof which carries so much sound!

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Amazing Resort for People with Allergies

My girlfriend and I were looking for a hotel with a big room and a beachfront. The hotel was beautiful and about a 20 min ride from the airport. Food was great considering my gf and I have food allergies and the entertainment was amazing. I have seafood, chicken, egg and nut allergies and they accommodated pretty good. My only drawback is that during the day, there isn’t much day activities that are indoors but that is just minor and I heard they are opening a bowling alley in 2019. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great resort!!

Enjoyed our stay!! Loved the 2 bedroom hut Very friendly staff Good food!! Was a little confusing after dark as there are many pathways to get to the rooms wish there was more lights on these paths. That is our only concern Great entertainment and no fighting for beach chairs and poolside Lots of seating!! Would definately go here again. 15 minutes from the airport was a real bonus

Barcelo Maya Colonial: We loved this place

The hotel and grounds where pristine. The beach was groomed daily and had plently of room to relax. We absolutely loved this resort and will return. Our travel agent marlena was a great help and a pleasure to work with

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Wonderful holiday

We have stayed at other Royal Decamerons, and this one is right on par with the others. Very clean resort, staff are friendly and have a good command of English. The photos shown on the various sites of this hotel's rooms and common areas are dated, and things are bit more faded and worn than advertised, but in good condition. There was plenty of variation at the buffet (but you will always get the chronic complainers) but we found it to be very good. The Westjet rep was very helpful in organiz [... read more]ing my husbands scuba diving tours, and our tour of Cabo San Lucas. The entertainment in the evening was very good. Our favorite was the Mexican history, the costumes were fantastic. This resort is not large, and is quiet after the evening show is over. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is your resort.

Royal Solaris Cancun: amazing place ,

This place was great, tasty food with different themes every night , beach is clean and not to busy. friendly staff, pool area for kids is very nice. Pizza snack bar is so good. the only 2 little draw back is that they really want to sell timeshares but after a few no thank you they stop asking, and I would put security on the floors because people let kids run and yell all evening. but it gets quiet near 10 ish. but it doesn't take from the overall good experience we had

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Amazing experience and resort!

This hotel was everything we had hoped for and more. We loved that we did not need reservations to the restaurants and food was accessible 24/7! Staff was outstanding and the daily activities were perfect

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Wonderful family vacation spot

The hotels were clean, well organized and well kept. Most important all of the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the flamingoes and crocodiles. The shows were fabulous. Even our 3 and 4 year old grandsons loved the dancing and singing. We appreciated the environmental efforts the hotel is making for example not using plastic disposable cups thus lowering the amount of plastic waste.

Secrets Huatulco: STUNNING VIEWS AND AMAZING WEATHER

We visited Secrets Huatulco for two weeks starting the end of December. This was our second visit to Secrets Huatulco, with our last visit being 4 years ago at the same time of year. They have a fabulous New Years Eve celebration which is one of the best we've been to at an all-inclusive resort. The resort itself is located in a beautiful cove with almost every room having a view of the beach and the view is spectacular. Although it is only a 10 minute cab ride to town, the resort has a remote [... read more] feel to it. The weather in Huatulco can't be beat. It was 30 and sunny all 14 days. The staff are super friendly and very helpful but are understaffed and run off their feet - especially noticeable around the pool and in the restaurants. Rooms are fairly large with a large bathroom area (somewhat open) and a glassed deck with unobstructed views. Super clean and not once was there anything missing, we always had clean towels, water, beer, etc. Ask for a room in one of the back buildings, top floor. Overall the food was okay but we've had better. Buffet items were often cold, especially at breakfast (we heard room service breakfast was better). There are lots of restaurant choices for dinner - our favourite was the Italian restaurant Chin Chin and next would be the French restaurant (can't remember name). Evenings can be fun with a couple of entertainment options including a live show in the theatre, or often live music in the Sky Bar. Sky Bar is where we spent most of our time meeting lots of fellow Canadians.The pools are absolutely beautiful and super big however be ready to save your chairs every morning because they fill up fast with many people saving them overnight. Same thing at the beach which is super hot if you don't get a palapa. Also note that the ocean is a bit rough some days for swimming. Although we really liked New Years Eve we did notice that the staffing, food and entertainment were somewhat better on our 2nd week of our vacation. Overall value is good for what you get and I believe its the nicest resort in the area, but not sure if I'd go back again.

Royal Solaris: Great resort!!

We have travelled a lot in Mexico and really enjoyed our stay at this resort! My only complaint would be the really cold pool! It is very clean and well maintained but uncomfortable to get in. I do realize that because we went in January it is colder in the mornings and evenings and more difficult for the pool to be warm but it was freezing! Everything else was great!!! Ramon our poolside bartender was amazing and lots of fun!!

Crown Paradise Club: Not great for what we paid

The hotel is older and is showing wear. Mattresses seemed to be past their prime. Kids had fun at the 3 pools which were warm most days. We had no hot water or water pressure for 3 of our 7 day vacation. Food was good. Service was hit and miss and for the most part the drinks were undrinkable. A surprising number of service workers didn't speak any English but it makes sense because it seemed like more locals than foreigners. There was very loud wedding dance parties on the beach 3 nights in a r [... read more]ow. And they are doing construction between the two hotels which starts bright and early. The beach was nice.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very good resort

We spend many many days at the resort, it had various pools for families, kids and adults only too. The dinning was very accessible, lots of nice Canadians also stayed there. The rooms are very clean and the service is regular. Lots of activities to keep busy and themed evening entertainment was good too. The resort is ideally located near lots of activities in and around the Riviera Maya. The beach had rock along the coastline and the “updates” are a bit much. The noise at the children’s [... read more] pool was very loud, pay the upgrade and go to the adults section.

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Beautiful Resort but...

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary from December 30-January 9, 2019. We were somewhat disappointed that our only option for our anniversary dinner(which actually was December 31) was the buffet! The hotel did not let us book any other restaurant because it was New Years Eve and those reservations were given priority to TRS(adult only side),Family Selection and Palladium Travel Club. They knew it was our 20th anniversary, yet th [... read more]ey did not do anything extra to make our day special. On top of that, we got swarmed by the Travel Club employees and convinced to take a tour and sit through a presentation on the morning of our anniversary! We were also promised things for attending the presentation that we were never given. What a waste of time! We were promised a couple of nights in the TRS side or at a minimum, changing our bracelets so that we could access the TRS facilities during our stay. Never happened. Although the resort is beautiful, it does not have an adult only pool available on the Grand Palladium side. There are too many levels of privilege there. At the beach we were all crammed into one section while the TRS and Travel Club and Family Selection had there own roped off section which was usually less that half full. Although our room was well appointed, there were a few things...it had a beautiful tub but the water going into it was luke warm at best. ☹️ The shower was awesome! Very large and an abundance of hot water! 😊 The beds looked way more comfortable then they actually were. ☹️ I like that they had carpet in the halls on each floor to reduce the noise of other guests coming and going. 😊 The large pool was nice but often there was music/bands playing at the same time which was very irritating particularly when you’re trying to enjoy a good book! ☹️ Daniel the waiter at the pool was amazing!😁 as well as Juan at the Indian restaurant!😁 It is a very large resort so be prepared to do a lot of walking! There are carts to drive guests but not always available when you are. We didn’t mind the walking. There are also boat taxis there too!😊 We went to the a la cart restaurants every night(except our anniversary of course☹️) without a reservation and had no trouble getting a table. The longest wait was 30 minutes. All were very good. We did the Italian, Mexican, Thai, Japanese, Steak House and Indian. The last two we went to more than once. 😀 We stayed in building 15 on the top floor. Room 15405. Nice view except for the construction! ☹️ If you ask for an even number you will face the pool. By the way, you don’t have to return a towel to get a new towel there for the pools/beach. Unfortunately the down side is guests just leave them on there chairs which maks it difficult when you are looking for a place to sit by the pool/beach. Hint: If there are no personal belongings with those towels on the chairs, it’s available! If we were ever to go back to this hotel, we would only go to the TRS side.

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Something for Everyone

Large resort with excellent service , a variety of restaurants, bars , beautiful pools, a large sandy beach and activities for all ages. 10 minutes from Cancún airport, easy checkin ,room was spacious , beds comfy but only double so small . I would recommend this resort for families and adults alike - something for everyone , you won’t be disappointed

Royal Solaris: Great resort

Hotel was great rooms were well kept and clean. It's a resort full of kids though so if your going to relax and a break from kids your not going to get it. The pool very ice cold, not sure if it's because we went in January.

Allegro Cozumel: Well Worth the Value!

Positives: Perfect sized resort, less than 5 min walk from Main lobby to beach; Grounds, pools, amenities were in excellent shape (no cracked pool tiles) Kids pool area was loved by our kids and kept them very busy; Drinks were excellent, a lot of premium brands and made well; Staff was great,very friendly and majority of them spoke English; Beach was awesome (a little seaweed) the volleyball court was front and center with a lot of activity; The entertainment staff was great around the pool;  [... read more]the food demonstrations at the pool were excellent; The dive shop was very professional and excellent to deal with; diving from this location was very good and sites were close by; Rooms were clean and updated, Beds were very comfortable; Evening Entertainment was great, something different and professional every night; Kids club was located in an excellent location; Food overall was good but could use some improvement, Japanese was excellent, Italian was not. Negatives: Rooms were tight for 4 people; 2nd floor rooms leak in heavy rain; rooms were noisy from people outside; Hot water in room was hit and miss - more miss; Kids club was an excellent facility but needs to have more engagement and scheduled activities; Times between when the buffet was closed there was no real place to get good food (sports bar food was crap); Having to book Restaurants; The biggest negative I found was you could only book 2 a la carte restaurants within one 7 day stay - dumb.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: This resort has it all - best beach, amazing staff, fantastic guests, plenty to do, clean spaces and healthy food

Excellent variety of restaurants, bars and pools. We enjoyed the nice mix of Canadian and Mexican both very polite and respectable people. I suggest you expand you wifi and upgrade your bicycles. don’t charge for the safety box in the rooms.
