Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: What a great holiday!

We thought we were going to be staying at the Royal De Cameron, but what a great ending to what we thought was going to be a bad experience. We ended up at your hotel instead. You have the most amazing beaches! The most amazing food and the most amazing staff! We will definately come back again!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Very nice resort

Great pools, awesome buffet and a la carte. Resort grounds very well kept and clean. Staff always very friendly. Nightly entertainments and daily activities are plentiful. If you prefer to just relax, then there are many ways to do this as well. Lots of interesting excursions available if you want a change of scenery. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Stay

This is the 5th time I have stayed there and as always there is nothing I can complain about except for the fact I had to pay 350 in Mexican money to get the key for my room safe. In the past I was given that money back but this time when I returned the key they said it was not refundable which I thought was wrong. Other than that it was a great stay got the room I asked for so everything was perfect Cheers

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great Vacation!

The Royalton Hideaway Cancun was great! The adults only section was great and you could get everything you need without mixing with all the families on the other side of the resort. The room, the restaurants, the shows and the STAFF were awesome. I don't think I got up for a drink once! The ONLY downside to this resort is the beach. Although long and had beautiful white sand, there was a ton of seaweed and the first 10-20 feet into the water it was very murky. Moon Palace Cancun: BAD experience

We would never recommend this place. Many that attended the wedding ended up very sick, quite sure it was food poisoning. The ocean and the beach are awful. Very murky and full of seaweed. A huge tractor is going back and forth on the beach the majority of the day. The swimming pools are freezing except for one that is heated and packed. Very, very disappointed.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Great beach!

I think the beach and the mangrove forest with the monkeys was the best part of this resort. The resort had some sandbag berms installed about 50m into the water, trapping the sand, which made the water pristine baby blue and clear, which the rest of the beach beyond the resort, did not have. Also this time of year (early Jan) the pool water was cool and the ocean a lot warmer which made the beach more attractive than the pool area. The meals at the restaurants in the evening was absolutely excellent (especially the Italian and French restaurants). The Mexican restaurant was very good too. Thai was below my expectations as it didn't taste at all like typical Thai to me. The service at this resort was also below my typical experiences at a 5 * resort. In my 5 days there, the maid service was inadequate (a dirty rag was left behind, not enough fresh towels were restocked and neither were enough water bottles provided for 3/5 days I was there) - it was however a clean (and new) room I stayed at so I was happy about that. I would have liked to have better cleaning service though for the price I paid to be there which was far above what I normally spend for a 5* in Mexico. Also, I found it surprising that not everything was all inclusive in this "all inclusive" resort. Again, for the money it cost to be there, I would have thought that "all inclusive" means all inclusive and that a fresh coconut at the beach shouldn't cost an additional $5US. That's just a rip off! Neither should the beds under the canopy's by the pool area cost extra to rent. That's just nickel and diming tourists. I've never seen this before at other 5* resorts. Disappointing extra costs. Upon check out I was also not told that if I didn't return the resort bracelets they tag you with for the stay, at check out, I would be charged an additional fee. I thought that having to pay that would be outrageous especially given how expensive this resort is. If you have lots of money to spend this place is pretty good but I wouldn't peg it as that much better than other places I've been.

Riu Palace Baja California: New,very modern,clean

This is a brand new hotel in the Riu chain.The rooms are beautiful with balcony and you have a rack to hang wet clothes.The pools and sitting areas all terrace down in the centre of resort.Very good view of the beach ,sea and the cruise ships that come in.Lots of beach chairs on the sand and around the pools.Only a few minutes with the town bus to go to the marina or about a 40 minute walk.Walmart is outside the resort 15 minute walk if you need to get anything.The buffet was amazing with so m [... read more]uch food to choose from that you should never say there was nothing there you like.The restaurants,the Italian was great,good lamb chops.Good selection of entries. Japanese was very good,not as much your choice for the appetizers they just bring out sushi.entrie was good. Location in itself makes it to be very noisy.The staff where literally running around causing more confusion.You had no choice for the appetizer which came out with octupus,scallops.shrimp in hot sauce.Not everyone will eat these things so its pretty limited .The main course was steak ,lobster etc.Your choice.The steak was good if you got it cooked to your taste.My husband's steak came out raw the first time.Sent back but was barely cooked in places to medium.They fool around a lot with serving the entre with trying to find the ladies meals first.They lift the lids to find on the tray who's meal is who's,which to me causes more chaos.The tray fell to the floor which caused more stress on the wait staff.The French fries served with a very spicy coating was not good.You had no choice with the potatoe.We did not go back to the steakhouse.It needs a new menu and choice.The Indian restaurant was with no choice you just where sent out small dishes of I am not sure.Very spicy and for myself I just couldn't enjoy anything.It also needs to have choice and a new format.But when all is said the buffet was always a good choice to eat with everything to choose from.Fish ,salmon,lobster all was available to enjoy. The resort really caters to the party group so not much peace and quiet.The resort was beautiful and I like the quiet in the morning too sit by the pool and just relax.No music but by 10 am the music is on and it's the music for younger adults.It would be nice if they had spa music till noon.The partiers are likely just getting going by noon,or maybe they could use some quiet music for their hangover.You had bar service all day at the pool with staff getting you your drinks.Very good. The aquafit was very good when run by Alexandria.You got an amazing workout. Entertainment was there each evening but I am not one to take that in.The tenors were good.No comment on entertainment. The young adults running entertainment where very nice. Overall the resort is beautiful,good food,and the view is amazing.I saw the most amazing sunrises each morning.Its a resort you should enjoy.We did.We had 3 couples over 60.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Beautiful, Relaxing Vacation

This resort was absolutely beautiful with the walking paths, animals, and foliage. The staff was always cheerful and helpful, and we found the food to be superb (especially the international buffet!). The only complaint we had were the pillows were not very comfortable, but it wasn't really enough to complain about. But the small shopping centre was a lovely short walk away. We loved going for a little walk first thing in the morning to get our coffee (and sometimes crepes). We were thankful for [... read more] the quiet areas of the pool/lounging for our reading binges. We would most definitely go back as this one is our favourite resort we have been to so far!

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Outstanding !

This was an amazing resort from staff , grounds , rooms , entertainment , landscape , food and facilities . I have been 8 times to Mexico and this was a resort that left me impressed , I absolutely have not one complaint . The staff was very friendly fast and efficient , the beach was stunning as well as no seaweed . The kids club is definitely worth it if you have kids , staff very kind and friendly and just impressive all around . We traveled with my 17 month daughter and I felt very comfortable with everything they had to offer for families . Allegro Cozumel: Decent value

Allegro is a great choice for families with young children. The entire resort is kept spotlessly clean, the food is good, and the rooms are comfortable. However, the doors between rooms cause serious noise transmission. Overall this is a decent choice for the price.

Costa Club Punta Arena: ok

The staff was great, the food was lacking. We found the lunches were better than dinner. The noise from the construction was a little much. The staff turned up speaker to drown out noise only msde it worst.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Fantastic

Number one was the food! Exceptional! And the staff everywhere were welcoming and helpful. The grounds were spotless and the flowers were just starting to bloom. The pool activities like Zumba and aqua fit were a lot of fun and helped keep me active during my stay. Number two was the spa. As I was at the resort with my sisters, we took advantage of the free Transat spa activities like hot tub, steam room and sauna nearly every day, We also had facials and massages by very competent staff. The at [... read more]mosphere was tranquil and relaxing and the surroundings were very zen. Alex, our Transat rep helped us plan several trips outside the resort. We felt safe and well taken care of. There were tennis courts and lessons but I would have liked a few Pickleball courts. Yes, I would recommend this resort!

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Decent Resort

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, there wasn’t enough drawers to put away our clothing but the room itself was very nice and clean thanks to the amazing house cleaning staff. This resort was clean, staff was friendly, food was decent. The Japanese restaurant was outstanding, the best of the a la crate restaurants. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Awesome Get Away

This was our second visit to Sian Kaan because we were very impressed the first time we visited. The resort is placed away from the craziness of the other Bhai resorts but close enough to sample all of the restaurants ( which are amazing) and of course the beach. The shuttle service is always running and its very simple to get around. Unico 20 87 Hotel Riviera Maya: Amazing Resort

Everything about this resort was top notch...from the room to the grounds, the pools, the dining and especially the service. Our host was friendly, available and helpful. Even though it rained on our snorkeling excursion in Tulum, it still was an amazing and fun experience!

Canto Del Sol: Comfortable Resort fairly close to downtown

This is a nice resort and good value for the money. The rooms are clean and it is well maintained. Unfortunately I got food poisoning (believe it was the buffet) but I guess this can happen anywhere. There is stage show every night and it is very good. The speciality restaurants present a very nice meal with very good waiters. The elevators (or lack there of) leave something to be desired. The location is right on the beach but only about two blocks off the main road in to Puerto Vallarta. [... read more] You can catch a bus that will take you to the town centre for seventy cents. For Canadians who are interested in hockey, there is a lively bar on the street with televised games. Good place to stay. We have been there five times and will return again.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Nice place but not for young person

The hotel is very nice. Food in buffet and italian restaurant were really good. The staff was gentil and every thing was beautifull and clean. The only thing that I less liked is ‘’the americanisation’’ of the hotel... I felt like was in the USA. Ex: The buffet food, the music, the travelers, every employes was talking in english... It takes four days to have new water bottle in the room and they never change the sheets during the 11 days we were there.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Beautiful resort!

Lovely hotel for family with young children.Staff more than willing to help out with any concerns or questions. Loved the grounds with the jungle like feeling. Enough activities for everyone while not having to leave the resort. Great resort.! Excellent sports and entertainment staff! Shows were awesome!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: The Five Azul

My first all inclusive..... I was very impressed. The resort was very organized, clean, the staff was helpful accommodating extremely friendly. I have nothing negative to say. The food was exquisite, prepared to perfection. I highly recommend The Five Azul to anyone interested in an all inclusive.

This resort was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The beach was well kept and not rocky. However, the beach was very busy on the weekend because it is open to the public. The pools were immaculate. The best thing about the resort was the food. The Mexican restaurant was the best in my opinion. In fact every restaurant, even the buffet, was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. The spa was beautiful and relaxing. Overall a great vacation getaway.
