Ocean Coral by H10: Absolutely Incredible Trip

The resort in its entirety was amazing. The hotel grounds are very nice. The landscaping and the pathways are perfect. One of the main concerns we had before going was if the food will be good or not. The food at Ocean Coral at all the restaurants was also incredible. The bars were very good, and the pools were also perfectly placed and nice. Most importantly, the staff at the hotel went beyond what we could have imagined. They are so friendly and helpful.

The service was excellent. One thing we noticed was that the staff is very hard working, extremely polite and make every effort to make our stay a great experience. Eduardo, the beach and towel guy was excellent! He always went out of his way to make sure our needs were met ( an umbrella for shade ). Alex Ortega always came around to get us up and participating in the different activities... Such as Zumba, volleyball, beach soccer, water polo etc. he was very pleasant and always made us laugh. H [... read more]ugo, who cleaned the rooms in villa 12, cleaned our room and was very thorough! His towel art is unlike anything we had ever seen! WOW! We loved seeing the monkeys on a daily basis and the iguanas. The grounds are beautifully kept. They really do work hard at making sure everything is clean. Breakfast and lunch were excellent! Dinners were also very good but sometimes just ok. When we went to the Thai restaurant we expected real Thai food and it wasn't. A little disappointed, however, the Italian restaurant was by far our favourite ( we are not Italian). The seaweed was not a problem at all. We fully expected a problem from what we had seen online and had heard on the news. The seaweed problem is bad closer to cancun! There was very, very little seaweed! The beach was relatively clean. We walked down the beach strip and found many beaches that were rocky and dirty. Our beach was the only one that had no rocks and the water was super clear. It was by far the cleanest. We met the general manager at lunch one day and he too was very pleasant and asked if we were having a pleasant vacation. I would recommend this resort to any family thinking of going to the Mayan Riviera! It truly was a great experience!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: needs some work

We didn't have hot water for 3 days. There were dead flies on the hotel room walls. The food in the main buffet was the same daily. The a la cartes were excellent. The pools we're clean. The beach is beautiful, the sandbanks are a great idea. Excellent for swimming and snorkeling. The entertainment staff are great!! However, the overall staff and management are not very friendly.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Excellent value!!

Huge resort with confortable rooms. This is the first resort where the room Air conditioning Was too cold. I had to turn it down. The food Was excellent at The buffet.the only négative Point is the Beach . The Riviera maya beaches Are invaded by seaweed in all the ressorts .the mexicain goverment is trying to find a solution to this problem. The only beach without Amy seaweed Was in cozumel on the Ones Facing Riviera maya.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: SUMMER GET AWAY IN THE MYAN RIVERIA

My wife and I where looking for a exotic get away and where undecided as to where to go. I made a call to a vacation sell off company and there phone just rang, no one answered. My next call was to Trip Cental, Westcliffe Mall location and my call was received immediatley. I was greated by a very helpful customer service rep who after talking with me about what I would like to do and my price point. Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Resort is small but is Excellent - need more pools

Rooms were clean. Toilet needed to be fixed at the end - no pressure - but apart from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. My daughter and I had a great time. Grounds were beautiful. Beach was not that great - lot of sea weeds but the last days were great. They do need to put extra chairs on the poolside since beach was not good. Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Numero Uno! Wonderful hotel and staff.

The entire experience at teh Valentin Imperial Maya was amazing. The hotel was beautiful. The room was great. The staff were very friendly and made the stay that much more enjoyable. The food was great from morning, lunch and the dinner in one of the 7 a la carte resto's. Had a really wonderful time and am looking forward to return ASAP :)

I give this resort 3 stars because of the beauty of the grounds and the food was good. The majority of the staff were polite and helpful. i had a few personal items disappear and when I brought my concern to the front desk , the attendant started to laugh. He then told me to go to the concierge. I never did get my items returned. For this reason I have to give the resort only 3 stars and I would recommend other resorts I've travelled to before this one. I LOVED EVERYTHING !!! We had a great time with 67 of our friends. We were there to celebrate my daughter's wedding. When we arrived cheeking in was very easy, considering we were a very large group. We were all given rooms in villas 15 and 16 which made staying together very easy and enjoyable. The wedding day was perfect, due to the very helpful staff who very quickly meet our needs. Thank you for everything!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Good Vacation

Overall its a nice property, the food was above average, the room was spacious but dated, I woke up to a water leak one morning, though they fixed it immediately, the beach is a little rocky, service was fair.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Excellent !

Excellent resort modern and very clean. Nice swim out pool with lounge chair. Excellent service staff are very friendly ans attentionate. The spa is amazing, Nice massage. Good restaurants decor very beautiful

Overall great experience !!Great staff very attentive friendly and attentive. Food great for everyone including a basic meat and potatoes person such as myself. Resort is huge and very clean and well maintained. Beach is only potential issue some rocks as u enter and on actual beach. Offsite excursions very expensive but I assume par for the course at any hotel for family of 4 with discounts on both kids appox $830.00 for 2 excursions with no extras just basic tour. Well worth going

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Excellent Resort and Spa - Sandos Caracol

The rooms and the grounds around the resort were very clean. Any time we had a complaint in the room or the facilities the hotel staff came as quickly as possible to fix the problem. Food variety was excellent. We could get whatever we wanted. Nightly entertainment was unbelievably great and of various nature. The whole family enjoyed every program. Hotel staff was very courteous and obliging including the cooks and the waiters.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: First time in Mexico. Nice vacation

Resort is beautiful, clean, food is excellent, entertainment excellent, beach is nice but only ocean have too much sea weed and rocks. Lots of trips to Mayan land and other attractions. Store in hotel is very expensive, cigarettes, alcohol and souvenirs you can find much cheaper on street vendors in resort or in Playa Del Carmen.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Nice family vacation

It's about an hour drive from the airport and $3 per beer in the bus, which no one took advantage of during our commute to the resort. The Grand Sirenis is a large property with almost 1000 rooms. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Great Stay at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya

I stayed for one week at the Riu Palace from August 7th-August 14th and it was a great vacation. The hotel is very picturesque (hence why we saw four weddings while we were there). The resort is very clean and the workers never stop in order to give you outstanding service, including beach service!! The pool was very nice with entertainment and activities but could also be a spot to relax. Despite the current seaweed issue the beach was great. Overall, I would strongly recommend this resort!! Look no further if you want to stay in Riviera Maya!!!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Nice getaway

Blue Bay is a full service hotel that I would rate as 4 star (no more, no less). The shops near the lobby are very nice. The spa services were enjoyable and professional. The outdoor, shaded pool area was a wonderful treat (several different shaped pools, one with cascading shower). They had several double bed, memory foam mattresses for you to take a nap on (outdoors) after your treatment(s) and offered healthy juices and snacks to munch on while relaxing. The staff did a great job of cleaning up the seaweed on the ocean shores (as this year there was a lot coming up. Overall staff were friendly and mostly attentive. Some staff were a little aloof or indifferent at times---the animacion or pool activity staff were a little like this. They had their usual daily activities that one came to expect and they had a boarded schedule of activities (which was not always followed). They did not come around and invite you to activities or announce things in advance—very much in their own little world. You could borrow bocce balls, ping pong and other equipment; not that this was advertised—we just happened to ask. The rooms were nice and sufficient. The cleaning services were fine—although I would’ve preferred a full replacement of fresh towels big and small daily, so that we had an abundance. Front desk staff were not the happiest or warmest bunch, very no nonsense, serious. Some areas like the lobby could use an update and upgrade..most hotels have a grandiose centerpiece, instead here, a very average and low rising fountain. All restaurants were nice, especially the French restaurant---gourmet and home made dishes—extremely tasty and well prepared. Was a good 4 star hotel. Would recommend it if you are not fussy about details.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great Trip

No major complaints at all for this resort! Plenty to do and see. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Pools great our kids had a great time going between them and the kids water park. Kids Club also fantastic for them. Definitely a family resort. Would definitely go back!
