Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Absolutely Stunning!

Loved the hotel grounds. So beautiful! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Majority speak English, there are some throughout the resort that don’t, however they can understand you and you get by. My boyfriend and I stayed for a week and we definitely enjoyed our stay at Tulum and we would definitely go back but I think we would stay for at least 10 days. Resort is very big so be prepared to walk a lot and shares it’s amenities with Coba. Beach was gorgeous, lots of fish so bring snorkeling gear! Pool was so fun, very entertaining always something going on. Even my boyfriend enjoyed his stay and he is very picky! Again, I would definitely go again but this time for longer !!

Krystal Ixtapa: Great economical choice

This is a 3.5 star resort - if you go into it with that expectation you'll be happy. The staff are super friendly and the room is basic but clean. When we asked to have certain things taken care of (no coffee maker, safe didn't work) it was taken care of no problem. The food is ok, not great but there are lots of places to go nearby. The grounds are beautiful and the view from the room amazing. The beach is right at your doorstep. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Still a great resort

Our third time there. We wouldn't be back if it wasn't awesome. We had a great time again. We did notice that the restaurant service was quite a bit slower when we went for dinner. Maybe they lost some staff, but we did notice the change. We had an issue with an air conditioner leak, but with the help of the concierge (Regina) it was very quickly solved. This is still a great place and a great value for a vacation.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Exceeded my expectations!

Las Brisas Huatulco is set on a point sprawling over 400 acres of tropical gardens, ocean views and quiet cove beaches. The rooms are all set away from the noisy public areas. If you don’t mind either taking a shuttle or enjoying the walk to your accommodation, you’ll be rewarded with excellent swimming and snorkeling, lots of fun activities and free water sports, tropical birds and romantic starry nights! We took one Sunwing excursion to visit the 7 Bays, a day of sailing, snorkeling and a stop for a fine seafood lunch. The best recommendation I can give you is to say that we met a great number of people who have returned to this resort year after year. If you really want to relax and enjoy Mexican hospitality and natural beauty, choose Las Brisas over some of the other fancier resorts in the area. A true hidden gem!

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Everything you can want in one Resort

The resort is very beautiful with pools and bars located everywhere. Staff was always cleaning and you can tell by how well maintained the property is. The resort has it's own bus which works great for getting from one end to the other. The service team was rude ar the front door. The staff inside was decent but the food was disgusting and I personally was sick all night from it. Bar staff was great especially in the main lobby bar where we spent almost every night, Jaguar had some good vibes. The mall and the vendors were pretty good to have to souvenirs. The water in the pools was cold but i liked that as it was refreshing from the heat. The beach was well maintained and very little seaweed. The Buffets were all pretty standard but the good was pretty good for a resort buffet. Wifi worked everywhere on the resort. Bellhops were great getting us taxi service for our deep sea fishing excursion that we booked separately. A lot of things to do here with no shortage of food to be had.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Ocean Coral & Turquesa - Jan 4/19

The grounds at this resort are well maintained. The resort bedroom we had could use some paint. Very clean rooms, no complaints. Best thing about this resort is the service! The staff were amazingly friendly, professional and good at there jobs. If you ask for something its done asap. Never had to ask twice for anything. We changed rooms after first night as there was only one bed and we needed two. Our move was seamless and done quickly. New room was great. The staff were well trained and really wanted us to be happy at all times. “Alberto” was our favourite server because he was always smiling and super quick at his job. It was nice not to have to bother making reservations at the restaurants (except Japanese which was very good). Mexican restaurant and Route 66 restaurants were not good. The steak house was good, along with the Japanese one. The resort is built right on the ocean and most rooms had an ocean view. It’s a great place for mature adults as its very quiet. No noise issues at all. If you are young and single, this isn’t the place for you! The H10 brand sales staff were annoying, but if you tell them strongly you aren’t interested in buying into the H10 resorts they will leave you alone. If you’ve never been to Mexico before, best advice I can give you is when you arrive at airport and have your luggage and need to get to the transfer vehicle, just keep walking and don’t listen to the sales people trying to sell you transportation and everything else under the sun...keep walking and saying no and make your way outside the airport and for the transportation vans provided to take you to your resort. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend this resort to my friends is because of the food...but I’m also a fussy eater.

Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: Amazing resort!

This was our second time to the Marina El Cid Resort. There were 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 teens. The kids enjoyed themselves and loved the all inclusive - especially the room service. The food was great with several a la carte restaurants to chose from and a few buffet styles. The two minor negatives that I may have is that they charge for the wifi (only 2 per room are included), which was disappointing for 2 of the kids and they did not give us adjoining rooms. The one major negative is that [... read more] they really push you to attend a 90 minute sales pitch for their Membership Club. We did it for the free message, but it was frustrating, as they don't take the NO answer to their offers, and kept sending another sales person with lower offers (3 times). They say it's not a TIME SHARING but their sales technique are the same. We also did 2 excursions, which were very fun and good, but expensive $2000. I would also suggest to go later in the year like March or April as the pools were still quite cold for me (kids didn't mind).

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Resort

Well designed and managed resort. Landscaping is excellent. Ease of movement within the resort grounds is great. Great food and very fresh fruits. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The beach is great and very clean.

Plaza Pelicanos Club: Not a bad little place.

Heads up for this place. it's not a overgrown large resort. That's not bad. Room was nice and the cleaners keep it clean. They staff keep the grounds clean and it showed. The buffet was small but ok. Breakfast was always good. Like any place there is some downside, the safes in the room are the old school ones not the digital ones. Some staff have the don't care attitude. And you have to cross the road to get to the beach. But, it's close to downtown for walking. Note if the resort does the  [... read more]dinner at the beach, plan on going in town. The food is always cold except for burgers and hotdogs. Would I stay here again? Yes, yes I would.

Allegro Cozumel: Some key points

This is a beautiful resort. Very clean and amazing landscaping. I travelled with my boyfriend of 7 years and we did truly have an amazing time. However, this is a very family friendly resort meaning there is no 24/7 bar. No real lobby bar, it’s upstairs above the lobby with a pool table and air hockey so there’s always kids around and no smoking is allowed up there. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing Resort for People with Allergies

My girlfriend and I were looking for a hotel with a big room and a beachfront. The hotel was beautiful and about a 20 min ride from the airport. Food was great considering my gf and I have food allergies and the entertainment was amazing. I have seafood, chicken, egg and nut allergies and they accommodated pretty good. My only drawback is that during the day, there isn’t much day activities that are indoors but that is just minor and I heard they are opening a bowling alley in 2019. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great resort!!

Enjoyed our stay!! Loved the 2 bedroom hut Very friendly staff Good food!! Was a little confusing after dark as there are many pathways to get to the rooms wish there was more lights on these paths. That is our only concern Great entertainment and no fighting for beach chairs and poolside Lots of seating!! Would definately go here again. 15 minutes from the airport was a real bonus

Barcelo Maya Colonial: We loved this place

The hotel and grounds where pristine. The beach was groomed daily and had plently of room to relax. We absolutely loved this resort and will return. Our travel agent marlena was a great help and a pleasure to work with

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Wonderful holiday

We have stayed at other Royal Decamerons, and this one is right on par with the others. Very clean resort, staff are friendly and have a good command of English. The photos shown on the various sites of this hotel's rooms and common areas are dated, and things are bit more faded and worn than advertised, but in good condition. There was plenty of variation at the buffet (but you will always get the chronic complainers) but we found it to be very good. Our favorite was the Mexican history, the costumes were fantastic. This resort is not large, and is quiet after the evening show is over. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is your resort.

Royal Solaris Cancun: amazing place ,

This place was great, tasty food with different themes every night , beach is clean and not to busy. friendly staff, pool area for kids is very nice. Pizza snack bar is so good. the only 2 little draw back is that they really want to sell timeshares but after a few no thank you they stop asking, and I would put security on the floors because people let kids run and yell all evening. but it gets quiet near 10 ish. but it doesn't take from the overall good experience we had

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing experience and resort!

This hotel was everything we had hoped for and more. We loved that we did not need reservations to the restaurants and food was accessible 24/7! Staff was outstanding and the daily activities were perfect

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Wonderful family vacation spot

The hotels were clean, well organized and well kept. Most important all of the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the flamingoes and crocodiles. The shows were fabulous. Even our 3 and 4 year old grandsons loved the dancing and singing. We appreciated the environmental efforts the hotel is making for example not using plastic disposable cups thus lowering the amount of plastic waste.

Secrets Huatulco: STUNNING VIEWS AND AMAZING WEATHER

We visited Secrets Huatulco for two weeks starting the end of December. This was our second visit to Secrets Huatulco, with our last visit being 4 years ago at the same time of year. They have a fabulous New Years Eve celebration which is one of the best we've been to at an all-inclusive resort. The resort itself is located in a beautiful cove with almost every room having a view of the beach and the view is spectacular. Although it is only a 10 minute cab ride to town, the resort has a remote [... read more] feel to it. The weather in Huatulco can't be beat. It was 30 and sunny all 14 days. The staff are super friendly and very helpful but are understaffed and run off their feet - especially noticeable around the pool and in the restaurants. Rooms are fairly large with a large bathroom area (somewhat open) and a glassed deck with unobstructed views. Super clean and not once was there anything missing, we always had clean towels, water, beer, etc. Ask for a room in one of the back buildings, top floor. Overall the food was okay but we've had better. Buffet items were often cold, especially at breakfast (we heard room service breakfast was better). There are lots of restaurant choices for dinner - our favourite was the Italian restaurant Chin Chin and next would be the French restaurant (can't remember name). Evenings can be fun with a couple of entertainment options including a live show in the theatre, or often live music in the Sky Bar. Sky Bar is where we spent most of our time meeting lots of fellow Canadians.The pools are absolutely beautiful and super big however be ready to save your chairs every morning because they fill up fast with many people saving them overnight. Same thing at the beach which is super hot if you don't get a palapa. Also note that the ocean is a bit rough some days for swimming. Although we really liked New Years Eve we did notice that the staffing, food and entertainment were somewhat better on our 2nd week of our vacation. Overall value is good for what you get and I believe its the nicest resort in the area, but not sure if I'd go back again.

Royal Solaris: Great resort!!

We have travelled a lot in Mexico and really enjoyed our stay at this resort! My only complaint would be the really cold pool! It is very clean and well maintained but uncomfortable to get in. I do realize that because we went in January it is colder in the mornings and evenings and more difficult for the pool to be warm but it was freezing! Everything else was great!!! Ramon our poolside bartender was amazing and lots of fun!!

Crown Paradise Club: Not great for what we paid

The hotel is older and is showing wear. Mattresses seemed to be past their prime. Kids had fun at the 3 pools which were warm most days. We had no hot water or water pressure for 3 of our 7 day vacation. Food was good. Service was hit and miss and for the most part the drinks were undrinkable. A surprising number of service workers didn't speak any English but it makes sense because it seemed like more locals than foreigners.
