Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Awesome Resort!

Resort is amazing! Tons of wildlife walking all around the resort. The waterpark and pools were great for the kids and the shows were excellent. Food was good, selection at buffets were reasonable and they allow you to book as many a la cartes as you want. The only downside is that being in the middle of he jungle the Mosquitos are bad. They have repellant dispensers through the resort, but bringing your own stronger repellant would be a better option. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Excellent resort

We were upgraded to a beautiful suite with 2 bathrooms. Wished for a swim up balcony for our next trip. The resort amenities were nice and close, with the ocean and pool steps from our building. Our room wasn't cleaned the first 2 days but from then on was cleaned every day.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Resort

This resort was awesome. The ability to go to the other resorts was great to change things up from time to time. Awesome night life at the Hacienda. Worst part of the resort was the service booking a la carte restaurant. They tell you there is no availability and there are always multiple empty tables. They are rude about their lack of availability and make no attempts to accommodate. I would say make sure to book the day you arrive however that is what we did and were given 1030pm times. The service in the restaurants was really good.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Tropical jungle setting hotel with great food

Great food, buffets and a la cartes were terrific! Rooms were clean, not luxury but our junior superior suite was large with king bed. Pools were nice, we preferred the Alux pool but people get up early to reserve loungers (6:30 am!! they start to reserve loungers). Shuttle to the beach and other resorts run often. Beach nice with lots of fish! Sian Kaan is a quiet resort so if you're looking for excitement you'll have to visit the other BP resorts by shuttle. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Understaffed

The hotel overall was pleasant with great food. The drinks tasted watered down. Internet service was very limited and often unavailable throughout our 10 day stay. We were not even able to communicate with the other couple that came on vacation with us through wifi. Service when provided was excellent, but given that there appeared to be a lack of staff, it was often unavailable. At the pool, you had to queue continually for drinks. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great family resort

This resorts was amazing, the hotel is beautiful, the kids club and the water park for the kids was incredible, the pools were spectacular and always clean, the customer service and the attention to the details were excellent.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Fabulous first trip to Mexico

I went to the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum at Riviera Maya with my 6 year old daughter. It was our very first experience in an all-inclusive resort. We both loved the always clean rooms, and friendly staff. Everybody seemed happy to help us find what we were looking for. Because there was tons of algae on the beach, we did not spend a lot of time at the Tulum beach; we visited the Akumal beach instead. We did the dolphin swim which my daughter still talks about. The only negative was the massive amounts of mosquitos that ate us alive in the evenings and after the rain showers. Everyone on the resort has dozens of bites everywhere, and my bug repellent never seemed to work well enough. Aside from that, it was an unforgettable experience.

Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa: Dream Wedding

I recently had my wedding at Dreams Tulum. We stayed for a week with 15 family and friends. The resort was beautiful and clean. The rooms were spacious and well kept. I cannot say enough good things about the resort staff. They were always friendly and helpful. In particular the entertainment staff was amazing. They went out of their way to include people without being in your face about it. They had fun games for everyone and they evening shows were actually entertaining for everyone. I would have liked to see a little more variety at the World Cafe buffets however. With regards to the wedding, the planner looked after all the details beautifully. They always returned my emails very quickly. The wedding day itself ran so smoothly and wonderfully. I don't have a single complaint and I would recommend this resort for a wedding to anyone!!! Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa: Great location, service and activities.

The grounds, rooms,restaurants were "A1". We enjoyed the evening's entertainment greatly. It was hot but always a breeze from the ocean. They were a little generous with their top shelf drink claim, which fell short of expectations.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Great Resort

This is beautiful resort, just got back 4 days ago. The beach is beautiful with white sand and turquoise ocean. But one thing no thatch roofs huts at the beach only for privileged rooms which you have to pay for. So at the beach you need to find spot with trees that had shade. The rooms were very clean. The service was excellent. Also there were only 2 bars in the whole resort. Food was very good. The ala carte dinners were fantastic.Also Air Transat had two free tours to Cancun city and Playa D [... read more]el Carmen for Air Transat passengers. Overall very nice resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great family resort!

Lots of options: beautiful pools, beach not so much. Service & food very good. Loved the nature with friendly birds, iguanas and so on. Tulum is alive at Xel-Ha tour was one of the best tour we had so far.

5 star resort been there many times tried all the other chains but my favorite is this one. Has hard working staff, super clean food is excellent stay here you will be in great hands. Also has triips to town has a disco and entertainment micael jackson show was my fave.

Our suite was nice and clean, quite big for a junior suite. Food was great, menu was changed everyday, plenty of selection. Beach was great if you'll go to the Akumal section. Staff was always nice and friendly. Will go back to this resort again.

The staff was wonderful, food was awesome, entertainment was fun and engaging , I was happy with the resort overall it's just too bad the rain hit and every inch of the place became waterlogged wet soaked and damaged .

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Not Quite What We Expected

This was our 4th trip to Mexico at all inclusive Hotels. I will not go back to this hotel chain. The Food was good. The weather was wonderful ! The drinks were extremely inconsistent ... Pool and Beach Staff could use bartending courses. Room, Restaurant, Grounds staff were very friendly. Our Room overlooked a back alley. We asked to be moved to the other side of our bldg. - overlooking the garden. We didn't think that would be asking too much given folks were arriving and leaving every day. We  [... read more]even offered to move our own luggage and clean the room ourselves - bec we didn't want to be too much trouble. They told us "nothing" was available. However, they did offer to "upgrade" us to their most expensive beach front rooms and have us pay extra to do so! We said "No Thanks" We paid approx. $ 5500 for the vacation - which is not cheap. We assumed that we would get a garden view room .... They blamed our room on our travel pkg .... stating that it only bought their "cheapest" rooms and then sold them to us ( the unsuspecting customers ) at the regular price ... thus keeping the difference for profit. ... As with most all inclusive Mexican vacations - they want you to "check out" their property next door ... " to see if you would want to stay their on a next visit" .... We asked if it was a time share scam - they said no. It would take approx. 1 hr and we could receive a Jeep for 2 days all inclusive ... All we had to do was refill the tank upon return. That 1 hr turned out to be close to 3 hrs. The "free" jeep was going to cost us $ 286.00 in gas that they wanted to put on your credit card upfront. And, the 2 days quickly became 1 day. They said they would refund the portion that you didn't use - Yeah Right. So - we did not get a jeep. ( Instead they offered to take us to Playa del Carmen / Cancun to shop.)

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful and friendly!

The resort is huge and has every service you could want! Seaweed is an issue on the beach so if you like calm and clean, better to stay at Akumal where it is calmer. It's the worst at the Coba beach. Pools are delightful and always activities and music. Never an issue getting chairs but folks do save them early even though they aren't supposed to. We never did and always found a spot on the fringe between ocean and pool right where our kids could go back and forth. As for restaurants... Book the [... read more] moment you get there and have your choices written out with a general time frame.... Then tip the person you give the list to and magically we got all our choices and times! Sebastian at the Diamond Lobby was thoughtful, organized and very friendly throughout our stay. We weren't thrilled with Pescador or Oasis and enjoyed Tequila, Le Gourmet and Mikado (show table) the most. Also did Gran Tortuga, Mediterrano and another one I can't remember.... They were all fine. Buffets were excellent! Loved the Diamond uncrowded breakfast and lunch. Found main buffet at Tulum much calmer and much better selection than Coba where herds of people shuffled about trying to elbow their way to French fries.... Lots more little kids on Coba side. My 9 year old spent two days at the kids club on Tulum and LOVED Julia! It was a bit young for my 12 year old. BIG hint of the whole trip.... WALKIE TALKIES! We had four and each had one all the time (except when swimming!) which enabled us much more freedom. Lots of folks were envious! Other tips.... Don't waste your money on Xel-Ha ( most expensive lazy river ride ever and not worth the hundreds we spent.... Though the dolphin experience here was fantastic) turtle snorkel "tour" (go yourself! It's beautiful and you can avoid crowds and go at your own pace) or bother with Playa del Carmen... all the stores have the same stuff that they do at the hacienda. And buy your booze at the airport - great deals at duty free. Oh, and bring your own snorkel and mask and water shoes, too. Tip your maid every day (Maria!) and the mini bar guy. We were in room 4526 in .diamond (upgrade! Just do it!) and it was wonderful.... Third floor right beside the private lobby and trolley to everywhere. Oh... And golf was hot, buggy and a rip off. While it was beautiful and supposedly included, it was the most expensive 9 holes we have ever played after cart, clubs and balls! Oh, and bring bug spray! The first week there were none at all and the second week they were crazy. Bug spray helped a lot! Okay.... That's all except a special mention to Kevin at front desk.... Helpful, friendly, solution oriented and efficient. And Ursula at the bar was tremendous! Beautiful person! Oh, and Jonathan the scuba master at the Diamond Pool! Ooh.... Do the Mexican fiesta night.... Games, bull, show, piñata.... Fun. Okay, now go have fun!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Almost three in one.....

Very well kept, huge but accessible.free 60 minutes wifi at the lobby which is very neat. Only problem encountered when we check out the guy did not give me my check out ticket even though I reminded him he said I'm all clear not until I was about to take the shuttle to the airport I was asked for the check out ticket and so I have to run back to the check out counter. Other than that so far its good.

El Dorado Royale: Amazing Honeymoon

The hotel was clean, romantic and full of life. The food is out of the food. Everything is made fresh with tons of flavour. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The nightly entertainment was so much fun. The hotel is very close to Maroma which offers a wide range of day trips and activities. Would most definitely go back or try another Karisma Hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing Resort - Totally Impressed

This was our First AI. Did'nt expect much but was amazed at the quality of everything. Only thing we did'nt like was the beach. Sea weed was everywhere. Cleaners were constantly cleaning up. Unfortunately, can't fault the Resort for it.
